Ooh *@Juno231*. Hopefully something positive...? My Ava bracelet has been dispatched and I hope it arrives soon, had very very sharp pains on Friday that felt like ov pains but painful and seemingly EWish CM today so would be good to be tracking to see if that can help me work out what is what

@Minster2012 difficult this time of year when you can't have windows open as much too! Hopefully it'll go fast.
Omg the rug. I've bought a new one. £95 i didn't have...... I just couldn't deal with it.

Nope, no more needles (although maybe they don't have them there) and no tissues again either! (Different lady again). They've just called and they are happy with everything. I'm to stay on the same medication and rescan Wednesday.

@Minster2012 aw minster you know the fumes will have had no impact on baba! I'm sure little chicken is wriggling in there just fine.

@paintfairy I'm glad the scans are going well! Sorry I don't recall if you already said but are you doing them before work?

Gah so yet again the nhs makes my blood pressure sky rocket 🤯. I thought I'd best call to double check the details of my appointment tomorrow and omg it's face to face and they never told me! Imagine if I hadn't called today! They even said to leave extra time as I'll be seen by the nurses afterwards as well. Madness! Now I'm also worried they'll check if we smoke and OH definitely had a couple on a night out on Thursday 😩.

I wonder what the nurses will do btw - I feel like I should prepare for the possibility of a scan just in case

@Juno231 I'm having mine at 9.20am but they do as early as 8.30am?
Hmmm, dunno. I'm not dealing with the nhs now but that all sounds different to my experience! Its like a lucky dip. 🤣 They do tend to weigh you and take your height again etc. They really only ought to do a scan if you are starting ASAP (but then they might assume you want to?). My first appointment was by video as they aren't seeing people (would have preferred face to face to be honest).

Thanks for well wishes :) despite baby being engaged, unfortunately the midwife couldn't reach my cervix so hopefully I'll get someone with longer fingers on Thursdays one 😂 no sweep for me today!

@Juno231 omg it's very good you called?? Always prepare for the possibility of a raping by dildo cam 🤣🤣might be baseline scanning? Nurses might be going through the protocols? Who knows! Would you start immediately if you could? On the smoking theres no way to know, assuming he wears different clothes & has washed & brushed his teeth since then! Thank you, trying to think positively but I'm really struggling l, I don't think the fumes will have affected it but i just feel nothing. And empty today ☹️

@larrythelizard I will try, I think part of it is also finding out yesterday that the last of my cousin's wife's MCs was at 4 months. So past the point where you think it's all ok. I don't even feel any kind of pregnant but you are right. I should think it's all been good so far

@Minster2012 the risk is much lower by 4 months though. She was just very unlucky? But yeah it's cruel it can happen at any point. Its like a fake Disney film image that people can enjoy pregnancy, when the reality is it's a whole load of worry!
@larrythelizard they'll keep scanning until they are ready and then it'll be trigger and egg collection. Likely next week.

My experience is baby will come when they're ready @Justanothercyster...so try and chill out and wait for it.

@Minster2012 @larrythelizard they do check for smoking in a lot of NHS clinics - they use a breath test that checks for something in the lungs that indicates if you've smoked recently. I don't know how much you have to have smoked though for it to register.

Ideally I'd like to hold off IVF until Jan but it's so tough - my brain says that but my heart would love for it to start ASAP.

Yeah I'm the same @Juno231 want to get started again now but equally want to make an impact at work. And it's only 4 months difference (can you tell I've said this before to try and convince myself). Surely a couple of cigarettes on a night out is explainable?

@Juno231 unless they mention it then you don't need to worry, plus you don't have to not smoke anyway? I did a carbon monoxide test at the Midwife's last week so I'd say it's only that point when they would worry 🤪and if they ask you if you want to start sooner it's worth asking about Xmas anyway so it might work out right

So the rug (can't remember how much i said). It was washed with the hoover thing 3 times. It was dried 3 times. I put baking soda in it. Then struggled to bat it out, after I read this was very bad for hoovers. I inhaled it which is also very bad.
I therefore bought a new henry that was up to such a job (which cost nearly as much as a rug 🤣) but it turned out I didn't need to as I borrowed mums kirby. (It'll come in handy for after the next plastering anyway). It did smell OK ish but DH bought some bloody powder from morrisons that was like shake and vac but a non descript make for pets and a fresh smell. We put that on and left it overnight. It smelt good but overpowering. I hoovered it out. Then all I could ever smell was the stuff! I'm not sure if it still smelled of dog but when you walked in the house, I couldn't smell anything but that. 🤮 I think it also gave me headaches.
So I've now bought a new rug. Same colour but shorter pile because the fluffy nice one was not practical with a dog. 🙄 The old one is in the shed. I said we could try washing it again but it needs to be summer when it's warm. I might accidentally take it to the tip before that (DH hates hoarding but for some reason doesn't want to throw it). 🤔🤣

So you get people that lie on their applications, get tested and then aren't allowed to go ahead. I mean I really don't think this will happen but I'm likewise annoyed that OH knew this and still took the risk because he clearly doesn't think about ivf as often as I do lol so he "forgot".
