The weather has definitely turned chilly, so it’s time to hunker down on that Willy 🍆

Its Halloween time full of ghosts and ghouls 👻🎃but will our f*ck boy bodies make us into the fools?

Come on universe we’ve done our time, we’ve had lots of tricks so give us our treats 🐣.

Whether you are TTC “normally”, IUI/ivf or anything we are a crew that cling together to the bitter end & always ready to help a sister out.

It costs an embarrassing story for your ticket, doesn’t have to be TTC related as we know laughing when TTC is needed.

If you see mention of Instagram I have a public account where a lot of people are linked too:
Minstermusings, and a few people have created new anonymous accounts to record their TTC journey/life stupidities m/general annoyances on…just don’t mention TTC on a personal account please!

Bumps & babies who want to keep track of us from our other buses 👀

@DKDK123 I’ll make an appointment on Monday, promise
@Minster2012 bez has the right idea, mil can give you a breather

Ds haircut done so now to chill, you should see the hairdresser and staff faces when he started running on circles, yep, that means he likes it

Minster2012 · 23/10/2021 13:36

The issue with MIL giving me a break is that she won't if she's got the other 2 kids. She won't take 3 on her own, which is fair enough it's just that SIL's kids come first. They basically live at granny's house (across the drive)
Fun day of housework @bez91?? Though I always find pumpkin carving stressful, we paint them instead

I've cleaned the mess from aga man (he was grinding so everywhere covered in dust then DH cooked last night so bombsite 😬) now I'm taking 5 to myself whilst DS playing nicely

@Justanothercyster get it out!! My mate was like that with DS she had multiple sweeps & was like "he doesn't realise he's been served his eviction notice 🤣"

@MrsBiddy it looks interesting.

Oh MIL here now 🤦🏼‍♀️

@Somatronic 🤞🏼 the pink/brown is something positive!!

@Minster2012 you should deffo treat yourselves and go have a nice date night and watch it! I love the bond films! And if you fall asleep, then win win😂 aw i love stories like that when people have their baby after a tough time!

@Justanothercyster Thankyou x

I'm feeling awful today, I feel really hungover, I had 1 cocktail last night when I went out for food and had 3 glasses of water and that's it, I feel really out of sorts/dithery and light headed, banging headache, feeling really warm and bloated, these news af symptoms can do one!!

Somatronic · 23/10/2021 15:55

@Justanothercyster and @Vil10 thank you.

I've thought I had implantation bleeding before so many times and it's always been AF. I think it's AF again and the shorter luteal phase is a new worry Sad

Juno231 · 23/10/2021 16:25

@Vil10 that's my fear too - I used to work with two women who were childless after lots of years of trying and that terrified me.

@Minster2012 I'm sorry you're still headachey :(

@Bea14 I had the HSG as well. Tbh my biggest fear once on that table was to poop myself when the cramp hit as they'd pumped me full of antibiotics that morning and I have a dodgy stomach at the best of times. It was one big cramp all in all but I just kept thinking it's a piece of cake compared to childbirth so I'd better just embrace it lol. I took co-codamol beforehand.

Ovulation today. We've hit O-1 and O-3. Doubt we'll be bothered to try again tonight. Had a dream I was pregnant last night but it wasn't a happy dream as I knew I had a peak ovulation test that day so was worried I had an MMC. Random.

Helped someone with a BBT question last night and someone else responded by calling me the guru of BBT. I said it's sadly only because I've been doing this so long and she said she knows as I helped her conceive her DS who is now 11 months and she's TTC#2. Felt like a kick in the gut tbh! Although also cool I've helped people conceive 🙌.

It's made me think of my friend who we wanted to do mat leave with - her baby is turning one in a couple of weeks and I started TTC before her 😭

MrsBiddy · 23/10/2021 17:17

Has anyone used ferti lily?

Looking at reviews on boots and Amazon some people have been successful but I'm always sceptical of reviews online

Hoping November will be a success month for everyone xxx 🤞🏻🍀

paintfairy · 23/10/2021 17:38

@Bea14 I was tense all over. Just don't tense down there. 🤣
@Juno231 @Vil10 that's probably everyone's fear to be honest? Yes ivf works first time for some people. Others 2nd or 3rd. But there's others with multiple rounds with several fets who just never get the outcome that they want? I suppose you have to make a deal with yourself how much you are willing to spend and how many years it can rule your life? We can't really afford to pay for it, so there's not much thinking to be done.
@Minster2012 gah. Bloody headaches!

Minster2012 · 23/10/2021 17:54

@Vil10 af can do one! Though I feel the Same so it must be the progesterone, I said to DH this morning I feel hungover without the fun last night 😩

Oh @Juno231 it's so hard when you get things like that both on the mat leave and the helping ppl conceive (long ago), you are the charting queen and I have no doubt you've helped many ppl here, that's why we love you. It will be your time soon and we've got you 🤗😘

@MrsBiddy I used a fertili (one of the lovely ladies on here sent me a new one when she did ivf) @crazydoglady123 love you 🥳 I used it each cycle as I had massive lake spermo issues when DH pulled out. I'm pregnant now & had another BFP since March. I don't think it was just that but we used preseed (cos I don't have much lubrication) that, vitamins & basically SMEP method. You need to practice with it & get used to it, and I have NO idea how ppl do it without their partners knowing. We couldn't do it subtle but DH was onboard 🤪

@Somatronic we'll be hopeful for you 🤞🏻

@paintfairy you are right on the ivf, we knew if we did it again that was the last time, and if we got more than one embryo we would have used 2, it's good to know your limits but go into the first hoping it will work

DH back home now, he's just said "love go have a bath we'll sort tea (hotdogs & chips) if anyone has seen my Insta story then you know this afternoon has been errrrrmmm eventful 👻🎃🤦🏼‍♀️😖

@Minster2012 eviction notice haha 😂😂
That's a shame about the other kids coming first, it is a handful but still!

@Vil10 sorry you're feeling unwell :(

@Somatronic I feel your pain, honestly! It's easy to stay positive for others but hard for yourself, totally understandable that you're worried. Hopefully a one off if it is an early af

@Juno231 bless you 💕 it's really cool that you helped her but totally get the pain. Yours will be cherished and so worth the waiting for ❤️

Vil10 · 23/10/2021 18:06

@Somatronic try and keep positive x

@Juno231 we need to try and put those thoughts out of our heads!! Also I can imagine hearing that really not being easy! It's the same with me, my friend started TTC at the same time as me, she told me when she'd started but I didn't tell her until much later, and her DS is 1 in December🙄 you do help everyone out though and I believe in good karma, and it'll be your turn soon x

@paintfairy you're so right, I think it's a definitely a thought in the back of a lot of women's heads!! If only ivf was cheaper

@Minster2012 she's not even due to arrive until Tuesday!! Something tells me she's going to arrive sooner!! Isn't it shit feeling hungover when you didn't even get the fun of it in the first place! Oh and we ended up sacking off the two do's we were supposed to attend tonight, with me feeling crappy and OH is feeling a bit tired so we're having a chilled one, I'm so happy!! Also I did see your insta story, and did have a little laugh to myself because I think your child is just hilarious😂 obviously not funny for you🙄 but bonus that DH is taking over tea!!

@Justanothercyster typical on half term week too, maybe a chilled night and good nights sleep will sort me out!

Franklydear · 23/10/2021 19:27

I had to go to Instagram to see what @Minster2012’s ds did, that kid is brilliant

Minster2012 · 23/10/2021 20:24

@Franklydear 🤣🤣🤣wasn't so brilliant when he also (when I was in the bath so on DH's watch) smeared body lotion ALL over my glasses & brought crayons up to me in the bath & then ran away downstairs with them 😜fun fun fun

@Vil10 i miss the wine I gotta say, having a morning headache after a good night is much nicer than this 😬☹️(but no I shouldn't whinge). Piss off witch you ain't invited this weekend!

InkyPaper · 23/10/2021 22:46

Hey everyone, it has been a bit of a manic couple of days - first I managed to scratch my car on a post 😭 then our friends who we were staying with this weekend in Scotland had a positive lateral flow test the morning we were supposed to drive up, so we gambled last minute on a hotel room last night in the hope that they would get a negative PCR result back today. Then the drive up was traffic hell on the A1 and it took just over 6 hours to get here 😭 luckily the gamble paid off and they did get negative results so we can see them now but God I could've done without all that stress 😂🙈

@Minster2012 I didn't have to chase the clinic in the end! I got an email saying the results had finally come through and they were going to get in touch with me sometime this week to book in appointments. Apparently they never called me because they had the wrong number for me - they had DHs number though, so why they didn't call him when they couldn't get hold of me I don't know. But there's movement!! Hope your migraines ease up ❤️

@Bea14 I used to struggle with not being able to relax the muscles down there (turned out to be vaginismus) but one of the things suggested to me was to take a deep breath and then to release it like I was blowing through a straw. It actually helped a little bit

Sorry about AF @Franklydear

@whatwonder glad the scan went well! 🎉🎉

@Vil10 sucks you're not feeling great! Hope you feel better soon ❤️

Kirky658 · 24/10/2021 07:53

@clolo @whatwonder glad all well on the scans!

I have got this 'worst cold ever' and it's really knocked me for six! Worse still Alice has got it and she can't feed properly as her nose is blocked 😭

On the plus side we are in Cornwell now, Alice was amazing on the 6 hr journey and slept the whole way!

Somatronic · 24/10/2021 09:42

AF this morning. I think after 3 failed months with clomid and 2 with letrozole it's time to admit defeat.

Franklydear · 24/10/2021 09:51

@Somatronic hugs, this ladies pulled me out of the hole more than once, they’ll do it for you too

feliznavidad2 · 24/10/2021 10:05

Hope you feel better soon @Kirky658 glad Alice slept well on the way, have a fab break.

Sending a handhold @Somatronic - totally get why you're feeling this way. I'm spotting too, v lightly but it's never been a positive sign for me either. x

Away for a few days here. 7DPO, v light spotting but crampy. Think it's my usual period warning coming early. 😫 🙄 Not v surprised.

Bea14 · 24/10/2021 10:10

@Somatronic Haha your poor friend, how embarrassing! I am so sorry to hear AF is here. I completely empathise with your feeling of defeat. This TTC journey is horrible and full of feelings of hope and despair. Hope you have a chilled day and eat all the chocolate!

@MrsBiddy It does sound interesting. Did you temp before or go straight to using this? I temp every day and I don't mind it really but wonder if this is more accurate/easier? Also I have never used a ferti-lily but I have just ordered one. I mean it probably won't make a difference but nothing to lose (other than more money!) at this point.

@Juno231 Good point, better than childbirth so as you say embrace it. Plus if it helps then I will do anything at this point! I know exactly what you mean about shared maternity. My best pal and I thought we would be the same as we were TTC at the same time but she fell pretty quick and her little one will be one in December It is hard seeing everyone else moving on with their lives and becoming little families and be left still trying. Sounds like you have covered the important times so fingers crossed.

@InkyPaper That does not sound like the best start to your weekend! Hopefully it is onwards and upwards from this point on. Thanks for the useful breathing tip, will definitely give it a go!

Minster2012 · 24/10/2021 10:16

Morning ladies I shall be a bit quiet today, on the journey to the christening & I can't really read/type without feeling sick, I'm subtly channelling rainbows on my dress for her gorgeous rainbow babe! 🌈🌈

@Somatronic is anything more an option for you? Ivf? Big handholds & squeezes

@Kirky658 yeyyyy for good journey but awful on the worst cold ever, it's so horrible when babies have colds and you can't do do much about it. How's the weather in Cornwall?

@feliznavidad2 spotting again? Noooooo!! Have you got the results of the scan from the other week? Was it AMH?

@InkyPaper that's a gamble after a positive lat test 😬but good it paid off, how long you there for? whoop for appointment movement though why the hell didn't they phone DH?? Must be the whole "men are useless" thoughts again

feliznavidad2 · 24/10/2021 10:21

@Minster2012 So, repeat scan is next week (with a special antral follicle count thing chucked in) and AMH was 37. So who knows. 🤷‍♀️

Love the dress, have a fab day, hope the nausea shifts (albeit it's there for good reason ❤️)

Somatronic · 24/10/2021 10:31

@Minster2012 I don't know anything about IVF. It's not available from the health service here so they wouldn't have talked to me about it. I guess I'll have to look at private clinics now. DH just said we'll have to reconsider the house renovation because presumably IVF will cost a lot of money and we're currently throwing all our money into the house. I'll ask the nurse when I have my next scan.

InkyPaper · 24/10/2021 11:37

@Minster2012 yeah, her lateral flow test result was so faint and she did another that was then negative, so we figured it was worth the gamble - luckily it paid off!! We're heading home tomorrow morning, so it's only for the long weekend. Hope you have a good time at the christening today!

@Somatronic sorry AF showed, that really sucks. If you want to know a bit more about what IVF involves, I found this site to be super helpful: theduff.co.uk/ivf-process-start-to-finish/

@Kirky658 have fun in Cornwall!

MrsBiddy · 24/10/2021 11:39

@Bea14

Didn't try temping, did my research and just knew that I wouldn't be consistent. Plus I have pcos and they say it is more accurate. I guess it's what you prefer 🙂

I find it just easy popping it in before bed and taking it out in the morning, wash it and tapping it on my phone to sync it and downloads the temperature 🙂

@Minster2012 love 😍 the dress 🌈 x

paintfairy · 24/10/2021 12:15

@Somatronic I'm sorry about AF. Where are you again?
@InkyPaper good news about the clinic. Not about the rest. Why does nothing go to plan?!
@Minster2012 enjoy! I hope the day goes well.

@Kirky658 OMG - I've got it too! I'm literally dying. I was ok ish until last night. Barely slept and can't breathe. Woke up at 7 freezing to death and aching all over. Throat felt like I have a golf ball stuck. Even my teeth hurt? 😫😫😫

Can't take bloody drugs, can I? Only paracetamol. I have a scan appointment tomorrow. Are they even going to let me in?! 🤷‍♀️ And I can't see my eggs growing well when my body is using its energy to stay alive. I've done nothing yet today. 🙄

Justanothercyster · 24/10/2021 13:18

@MrsBiddy I honestly swear by the temping with my pcos, it was the only way I could accurately see if I'd ovulated over other methods, but like you said, everyone is different. Cm was the most reliable predictor of when I needed to DTD as well
