It costs an embarrassing story for your ticket, doesn’t have to be TTC related as we know laughing when TTC is needed.

It’s all ok!! 🎉🎉💕💕it’s a real baby measuring couple of days ahead so 12+4 and due date of 22nd May, honestly cried so much happy tears!! 😍🌈But it was happy as can be wiggling around 🥰🌈legs crossed but wiggling away! actually can’t believe it!!

And the hematoma is gone!! But I’ve got to keep on with all the meds (including progesterone bullets 😂) until my consultant appointment in 2 weeks.

Still hella scared, and DH doesn’t want to tell ppl (awkward as we are seeing 4 friend couples at the weekend who we hardly ever see, including one due Dec) so that’s ongoing but Thank you soooooo much I just can’t believe I’ve got through the first trimester unscathed!! Now I’m so thankful COME ON BABY!! 🥲 💕

Here’s my little whirlwind of a morning for a TTC a update

As Ive mentioned before DH had a diagnosis of a varicocele which he was waiting his follow up today - bad news with the urology clinic. Basically the consultant said DH low SA results is not linked to his varicocele as he was low grade, he’s got a cyst which he’s had years which other doctors have previously dismissed as no issues when actually this is the route cause of DH issues. The location of the cyst is in his sperm tube itself, which has got surrounding fluid which is also impacting on the sperm itself with quality decreasing and causing DH continuous pains, because of the location the only way it can be removed is for DH to have a vasectomy which made me and DH quite upset at the thought as he’s only 27 and no children and if we was going down that route means DH can’t have his own children. Therefore no further action for DH as he’s refusing vasectomy as he wants to attempt having his own children first and live in pain until he comes to a point in his life he’s happy to have the operation which the consultant was really apologetic in the case as he could tell he was in pain when he was getting examined

Then 30 mins after, we had care Sheffield ring us declining our NHS referral ral as we didn’t meet the criteria of male infertility as DH as 1 percent morphology, low volume, low motility at 18 percent but because his quantity was 9 million for them to accept us we needed it to be at less than 5 million despite all the poor sections, so I just burst into tears down the phone to the lady(ugly crying with the snorts and sniffles) saying I’ve just received bad news that my DH needs a vasectomy to be pain free but he’s holding it off so he can try for children and then she said can you explain what the urologist has said this morning so I told her everything above and she said we might be on the grounds for a special funding case as DH has a physical factor of what is causing his infertility and likely to deteriorate and said she will raise this with the consultant at the clinic in the meantime she asked if we could contact our urologist for evidence of the meeting this morning in a letter - rang the consultant and they are conducting one to send across to help support our case to contest our rejection

About 10 mins ago I had the consultant ring from Sheffield saying she’s accepting us as a special case so I started ugly crying once again down the phone we just need to provide as much evidence we can to help support our case like the letter from urology and DH hormone bloods and we should be able to get special funding 😭

What a frigging rollercoaster TTC life is, it’s so emotionally and physically draining and I’m not even at the point of a BFP 😭

@becarefuloutthere my friend is due the week before too with her "3rd time lucky baby" too amazing!! Did your sister do the ivf again? Am I thinking about the right person?

@kaylsd oh darling that's so hard on you and DH & we'd have all done the same as you. I'm so pleased on the special case, I got my 2nd round of egg collection & embryo creation on a special funding from the ivf clinic so same thing, it's at each clinics discretion it goes to the board I'm confident it won't be an issue. I've heard of clinics being able to extract sperm after vasectomy reversals have created problems so maybe they might do that. I'm only speculating but what I'm saying is it's great news & im sure they can work with it 🤞🏻😘(oh and no it doesn't get easier with a BFP!)

@Minster2012 yeah she did although you're prob thinking of miss Goldilocks. Her sister struggled with it whereas for mine it worked first time! Seems ivf does the trick in our family.
@kaylsd oh hun that sounds so exhausting but I'm glad you were able to speak to someone understanding who sorted it for you. It's such an emotional ride isn't it but you'll get there! Xx

@Vil10 I think it's a disgrace. Forcing people to do anything is out of order. There's no risk to people as you can pass it regardless. So what exactly is the need? That's the thanks they get for working hard.

@Vil10 tbh I'm for mandatory vaccinations I think it's the only way it will go & I don't like the idea of being stood next to someone who hasn't had the vaccine in case I get it so I think it's the only thing you can do really

There are many girl guesses for mini minster! I just worked out DH will be away when it's 16 weeks which is frustrating

@Minster2012 when she said her sister wore it when she was 13, and she'd wanted a chance to wear it ever since? Just bizarre!
Rubbish to DH being away at 16 weeks.

@Vil10 NHS workers and others already have mandatory vaccinations, and too be honest if I have to go into hospital, like with an asthma attack, I want everyone vaccinated, this is really dangerous for some of us, just like the flu can kill me

@blackcurrantqueen @paintfairy @Minster2012 she's had sepsis and possibly covid and so they had to do a C-section before taking her to the ICU, but she's out of the ICU now, which is good, but still incredibly poorly. The baby is fine so far though, which is good ❤️

@kaylsd that sounds like an unbelievably stressful day but I'm glad they were able to take you on as a special case!

@Minster2012 cheers darlin! Shame Dh is away that week, at least if you do it in week 17, baby will be that little bit bigger and more fun to see on screen 😍

@kaylsd wow what a morning! Box ticking is so frustrating when other factors are involved. Sorry you had to go through all that! Glad you got partly a positive outcome though. Did they give you any idea of timeframe?

Has anyone seen the news article on the same sex couple fighting for funding for IVF the so called "gay tax" I'm on the fence with it. As in there is no way they can naturally have a baby together so it's not as if their bodies have issues that can be addressed 🤔 I mean having to self fund 12 rounds of IUI is silly I agree but it's not as if it has to be investigated as to why they can't conceive IYSWIM

@Vil10 I agree with @paintfairy you can still pas it on so unless I'm completely green I don't get it. I'm very pro vaccine, both parents were NHS workers and truly got shit on but I'm also pro choice. The NHS and care services have been on their arse for years, this will only exacerbate the issue

@bez91 it's a real difficult one that gay tax. I'm not sure where I stand on it either, I mean couples have to "try" for 2 years so how do you get round that? Married for 2 years? As someone who's frozen transfer wasn't covered on the nhs as it was surrogacy but due to my chemo so medical reasons I have to say i'm struggling with the conceit more than pro it tbh
