I’m thinking of getting the Yoto Box for DD. More or less the same thing, but I’ve read they have more longevity, due to variety of books available @DKDK123.

@Vil10 24 hours is the sex rule before a smear.
But no one on here seems to know this. 🤣 It can affect the result. Also it's pretty gross for the poor person doing it, if you've still got sperm there.

@paintfairy clearly none of us know that rule!! Why don't they say that on your letter or when you book it?? How you feeling? Was last night better?

@DKDK123 one more day 🤞🏻🤞🏻was just looking at my lack of bump still. But my boobs are DEF huge!!! We got a tonie box for DS for his second birthday, & 3 tonies (children's songs, jungle book & our creative mixed) it's only since he's been 3 he's used it much but now he really likes it & we are asking for a couple more tonies for Xmas for him so we like it here. No experience of the yoto I didn't really look into it

Hm so I'm CD3 but I'm tempted to call today CD1 in hindsight. Yesterday was just a bit of spotting and the day before that I'm not sure what to classify as. Kind of enough spotting to creep into light territory and make me uncomfortable going without a sanitary product just in case - but probably not full flow? Typical for AF to mess with my head 😅. Today I'm pretty crampy and I reckon full flow will kick in. Oh and my temp dropped below the cover line today 😬

@Juno231 what time did it start on Monday? If after like 4pm my clinic classed the day after anyway
Maybe speak to them? But ultimately it's not going to make a huge difference

@Minster2012 I think most people don't have a bump at 12 weeks - I certainly got away without not telling people until 20ish weeks (but then I was fatter then). So that isn't something to worry about!

Anyone a ceoliac on here with any good ideas for a dessert for Sunday for 6 adults including 2 pregnant ladies, one ceoliac & then 3 kids?

@Minster2012 definitely before 4pm but super light 🤷. Gluten free super gooey brownies with whipped cream and fresh raspberries on top sounds like it could work for kiddos too?

@larrythelizard that's what I'm thinking but am worried I'm manipulating the data to suit my needs lol.

Ultimately I know it doesn't matter and this cycle could still ruin everything but I just want something to look forward to for the start of 2022

@Juno231 CD1 needs to be full flow. Bright red blood. And cramps (if that's normal for you). So hopefully next month will be ok then?
As for what classes as CD1. The hospital told me after 6pm then CD1 is actually the next day. The fertility clinic on the other hand said after lunch time counts as the next day? Who knows. They make this shit up.....

@Minster2012 maybe they don't expect everyone to be so sex mad that they'd happen to be doing it the day before? Booking it in your FW is a bad idea. I managed to do that with mine last time and was annoyed. And after I had spotting, cramping, and was full of anti sperm jelly so clearly that wasn't going to happen either. 🤣 But yes it should be on the letter really @Vil10

So- my stomach feels better than it did. Still not good but I didn't wake up dying. I took deflatine before bed and that helped with the trapped wind. Farting has never been such a relief! I still keep getting other cramps (have now) but I honestly can't decide if they are located digestively or otherwise. I also wonder if they time with my pessaries, so it could be that. My boobs are now killing. And sleeping- well, firstly I have progesterone hands and feet, as I call it. Where they feel hot and irritable and keep you awake. But also we are sleeping in the spare room (plastering) in the double bed. Not only is it annoying as it's smaller, but it's bloody uncomfortable and hurting my back. I ended up on the sofa last night. No way can I do that long term (which is the plan until everything is back sorted) so we need a plan b. 🙄

@Minster2012 I have a recipe from Betty’s Tearoom Cookbook (if you know you know 🤤) for a chocolate hazelnut torte that is GF. Won’t be able to get the recipe until later tonight though as it isn’t online only old school cookbook 😂 also, barely showed until nearly 20 weeks with my first but these last two pregnancies I basically exploded straight away and am now a bit more static 😂 my core muscles must be shot to pieces!

Oh dear @paintfairy, those hormones have you all jacked up! Hopefully it is all worth it. When is OTD? And will you be testing early?

Honestly AF finds a way to fuck up everything it seems, whether we want it to come or not @Juno231, but I hope everything is on track for early Jan rather than late!

OMG. So DH bought this up with me, but we concluded you never heard about it happening. However I also pointed out no one likely checked. And today on this morning - there it was!
Basically a couple were doing their family tree and dna tests. Their older son was natural but the 2nd was ivf (he was now 11). And it turned out the dad wasn't the dad! Investigations showed the clinic had used the wrong sperm and the father is another bloke who was going through ivf with his wife at the same time at that clinic. 😱
Obviously there's nothing to stop them using the wrong egg or sperm and it's scary. A girl on another thread posted yesterday that her clinic has put in the wrong embryo (lesser quality) by accident. So these things clearly happen. Not good at all.

@Haiyaa OTD is Friday 19th. Some clinics do 2 days before that as standard. So I can probably safely test next Wednesday and get an accurate result. Anything before that could be inconclusive so I'm inclined not to put myself in that position.

@paintfairy I assume you saw the big BBC article yesterday where two women in California for implanted with each others embryos by accident? And swapped babies after four months 🙈. Btw my AF is always relatively light (but more than spotting) on the first day with main flow and cramps on the second day so I'm always a bit unsure what's what until that second day hits.

@Juno231 brownies are on the list after I've tried them in the aga for party on Halloween, might accompany with my boozy rhubarb fool for the grown ups. I'm sure you'll be fine with the CD1 today & like you say there's still more time anyway & they'll scan you so doesn't matter really

@paintfairy also a gal here who has found farting a relief recently 😂😂😂erm can't help on the bed thing though. Plus on the embryo mix up I also read a lot about things like that and concluded it's sooooo rare but yeah of course mistakes can happen but for example our DS is so much like us that there's no question 😂😂

@Haiyaa yes please for the recipe, I'm going shopping for ingredients Friday so that's perfect thank you, also reassurance on the not showing. I may have googled some bump pics and it does vary wildly 🤷🏼‍♀️

@paintfairy @Minster2012 I think what was kinda funny in this terrible California situation is that the babies were not the same race 🙈. Begs the question why they waited so long to DNA test them and swap them. They're lucky they both conceived and gave birth within a week of each other though!!

Well my smear was fine, apart from desperately needing a wee!! I drink a lot and I squeezed out 2 wees before I went, then low and behold as soon as I got there I needed a wee, thought I'd have time but as soon as I stood up to go, the nurse called me through, my god the tool made needing a wee worse, I had a little bit of period pain when she was scraping and I've had a little bit of spotting but all in all it was fine! Also do they put like a lube kinda thing on the speculum before putting it in? When she finished there was a bit of wet on the tissue that was over me and I didn't know if it was that or my ewcm🤣 the wee I had before I went to the doctors, I had a massive stringy ewcm blob, so deffo need to DTD tonight!

@Vil10 yes they use lube (trust me, you'd know if they didn't!) and it's not sperm friendly so I wouldn't be too hung up on dtd tonight. Cramping is normal. And when I went for my transfer they insist you have a full bladder and insert one of these. This was what stressed me more than anything! Usually I make sure I've been for a wee.
@Juno231 often babies aren't that dark when born and they get darker over time? Maybe it wasn't that obvious. 🤷‍♀️ But it's a good job they were different, else no one would have probably noticed?!

@paintfairy yeah although the woman said when her husband saw the baby at birth he visibly recoiled cause the skin was so much darker 🤣

If the lube isn't sperm friendly - is it not the same lube they use for all the dildo wanding? I've been wondering that for a bit.

@Juno231 I saw that story and was gobsmacked!! Then I also saw the one @paintfairy mentions too - I cannot imagine how it must feel to find out the IVF clinic mixed something up like that..!!

14 weeks today with a pair of lemon sized babies with arms and legs - I've been fancy lemons all week haha thankfully sickness seems to have eased and been replaced by hunger and severe heartburn!
We have booked a gender scan 27th... excited but nervous!!

I'm so windy @Minster2012 🤣 but also severe trapped wind at the same time 🤦🏽‍♀️ it's all or nothing haha

In my practices we usually just use KY Jelly, I think that can slow sperm down?

@Juno231 probably. 🙄 Very few lubes are sperm friendly. For ivf it doesn't matter. But obviously for iui etc it does. I used to have a bath and try and have a rinse out. 🤣

Bragging time again, ds brought me a cinnamon roll from the school canteen, cos they’re yummy, and he managed not to eat since this morning, I can confirm it was yummy, they must be amazing when they serve them still warm
