The weather has definitely turned chilly, so it’s time to hunker down on that Willy 🍆

Its Halloween time full of ghosts and ghouls 👻🎃but will our f*ck boy bodies make us into the fools?

Come on universe we’ve done our time, we’ve had lots of tricks so give us our treats 🐣.

Whether you are TTC “normally”, IUI/ivf or anything we are a crew that cling together to the bitter end & always ready to help a sister out.

It costs an embarrassing story for your ticket, doesn’t have to be TTC related as we know laughing when TTC is needed.

If you see mention of Instagram I have a public account where a lot of people are linked too:
Minstermusings, and a few people have created new anonymous accounts to record their TTC journey/life stupidities m/general annoyances on…just don’t mention TTC on a personal account please!

Bumps & babies who want to keep track of us from our other buses 👀

@Vil10 its difficult because every area seems to do things differently. My first appointment was with my DH but that was the only one. I never had AMH checked. Really seems to vary.

Franklydear · 08/11/2021 12:29

Quick update from me, blood test on Monday 15th for hormones for a starter point

🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻@Vil10

@bez91 thanks, btw did you stop the pessaries?

I don't think I'll be upping my caffeine much as I have a a decaf coffee I love but I don't worry too much if I have 2 cups of normal every so often but I think cutting down in general like @paintfairy says can only be a good thing

@clolo btw was your last scan your viability one or do you still have a scan with your clinic to go?

@Franklydear sounds like a good plan 😊

Juno231 · 08/11/2021 12:47

@Vil10 mine was gynaecology as well but all my letters have specified that OH has to be present. AMH is to check on your ovarian reserves - you'll need to meet a threshold to qualify for NHS IVF.

@Minster2012 gosh I thought you'd be feeling a bit less catastrophic now that you are hitting the 12 week mark (tomorrow right?!). I'm so sorry it's still this bad!

Minster2012 · 08/11/2021 13:41

@Juno231 yeah I should, it's just cos I still feel nothing, I'm freaking out it's cos there's nothing there & I know several ppl who have had MC after even that mark having heard heartbeats 💓 statistically bad things have often happened to me, to us so why would this be any different. In fact someone recently made a comment implying it's my fault bad things happen to me. That I deserve it. Something I've obviously contemplated many a time & worked hard over years with counsellors to overcome. It's a low blow but one that cuts deep. Anyways, head back in the sand

@Minster2012 I can't believe someone would say that to you and make you feel that way! I hope they're no longer in your life...

paintfairy · 08/11/2021 14:00

@Minster2012 whilst the risk becomes less, i totally get that the worry doesn't go away. The risk doesn't entirely so you are bound to worry because of the past. But you've got this far and I'm sure it is all OK. Trying not to worry is just not something you can choose to do though. Frustrating.
@Franklydear excellent. A good start.
@clolo I still find it hilarious that no one checked my AMH. Maybe my protocol was finger in the air? I should be grateful to have got anything. 🤣

kaylsd · 08/11/2021 14:05

@paintfairy hoping that the one on board for you is a sticky embie so your frostie can be kept on ice for when you need it later🤞🏻thank you about the photo and the clinic, even today my nurse at the HSG donated her eggs at care Sheffield and said they were wonderful with her 🤞🏻🥺
@gcat16 I’m so with you there with Belindas style I don’t get it at all, I think it’s quite a strange personality she has and maybe the outfit options support the same stance 🙈🤣 fingers and toes crossed your head can confidently rise from the sand for your little growing bean inside, hoping this time round is the best time and sticks around for the running ❤️
@Minster2012 literally love the thought of wearing nickname t shirts like a hen due kind of vibe on the MN tour bus? Booty busting sounds perfect! We need nicknames as you were the bonking queen in your TTC times ;) thank you for the kindness with the photo we had a blast! Two day hangovers though are so uncool.. felt so poorly 🤣🙈
@larrythelizard pork pies are the way forward! We had our initial at the top and the layers had hearts on them, the venue served pickle and brown sauce and mushy peas for the guests at the night with it on top of our chippy tea and Indian super 🙈 I’m not a huge sweet fan so I loved the thought of it.. also a cheese one would have been amazing however I’d not like to cut it as they gave us the most bluntest knife ever 🤣🙈 how exciting that you may not have met your soul mate 👀 🤣🤣🤣 Every time I do a buzz quiz it always says what’s going to happen in 2022,2023,2024 and it’s like baby baby baby I’m like sheeesh let’s get cracking on then! Also says I’m going to own a mansion.. maybe in another life?
@DKDK123 sorry to still hear the little one is still poorly ;( I know it may seem rough tides for you and your family at the moment but hopefully the storms pass with it all for you soon but yay for your mum being there for you at the moment 🥺❤️
@bez91 thank you sweetheart, we had a ball! Cannot beat a good pork pie especially being on bonfire night, I don’t know why we love pies so much up here 🤣🤣🙈
@kirky658 ah god damn AF every 2 week?! Let’s hope your hormones settle down soon and it can bugger off for a while, sending hugs sugar because there’s nothing worse than feeling shit from it! I hope your therapy finds you comfort in such a rough ride for you, we’re all here for you as you know ❤️
@Manifestingbaby I remember being a similar situation one month when FW came up and me and DH had covid… we managed one day and that just didn’t feel right and washed our energy but tried to rescue the chance of the egg 🥚 🤣👀
@vil10 my first appointment was really productive I felt! He looked at my scans and bloods and indicated Pcos - advised for metformin and gave me the prescription, advised for repeat SA, bloods what my GP hasn’t done and a speculum to check my cervix and said if I’m not pregnant in 3 month (which I’m not sadly) he’d make a treatment plan based on my repeat USS post metformin starting & DH SA which has lead to me and DH being referred for IVF on the follow up appointment :)

Had the HSG this morning, I found the worst bit was the speculum? Every time I have one I have to cough a few times because I think it likes to hide like today so that was abit uncomfortable and the person doing it couldn’t find a small enough catheter for me so they just used one and had to put force down for the due to come out but I saw both sides of my tubes light up so I presume it was a good thing? But they just said the comment when it was over we can’t see any reason why you can’t get pregnant based off today which I’m taking as it was clear :) left feeling crampy all day and spotting but nothing that a fudge brownie hot chocolate from Starbucks didn’t sort me out with!

@Minster2012 whoever was awful enough to say such a thing to you can only have booked themselves a space in the road in front of the karma bus with that comment! It very definitely isn’t anything you’ve done, I really don’t think our internal organs work that way! If it did there would be a whole bunch of actual nasty people out there who’d never been able to procreate, and a whole ‘nother crowd of super lovely people with lots of children…

paintfairy · 08/11/2021 17:40

@clolo 🤣 yeah they go off fsh but why they would do amh too for how easy it is? 🤷‍♀️
@Minster2012 oh yes we all run around wishing for bad luck. 🙄 That someone is a 🤬
@kaylsd the speculum for my transfer was actually pleasant. 🤣 I've never been told to cough until then though and had no idea why. But I've had others in the past that feel like they have trapped skin or something and you darent move. And yes they normally casually tell you it's OK in such a way you almost miss it. But that's good! A fudge brownie what?! Does that exist?! 😱

Franklydear · 08/11/2021 18:01

@kaylsd off to Starbucks soon
@Minster2012 well in my opinion you're the most wonderful person so there, all the good luck, plus my knitting is waiting for you and bebe
@Juno231 Hope the universe aligns for you
@Kirky658 it will all work out, one day at a time
I can't remember any more, I am on Android
The next few weeks will be challenging, DH is working late evenings 4 times a week I doubt any bonking will happen regularly, so I might just stop tracking until new year, hopefully the doc will keep me busy with test

Minster2012 · 08/11/2021 18:50

@paintfairy a pleasant speculum 😜🤪only on this thread! Thank you 😘

To Starbucks 🏃🏼‍♀️Bloody hell @kaylsd spikes a peak in fudge brownie sales! Sounds delish and just the tonic, I used to be the bonking queen though not now 😩a chippy tea too at your wedding! Lush

@becarefuloutthere not exactly I'm afraid 😬

@Sunbird24 to be fair my internal organs work in VERY mysterious ways but I get your drift 😂thank you

@clolo do you have any more scans with your clinic or is it just into the awful wait for 12 weeks now?

@Minster2012 best speculum I've had, I'm sure!? 🤣 He also gave me a nice wash out. 🤭
@clolo I suppose the midwife appointment doesn't matter too much yet. As long as you know everything is OK. Not long to go now for the scan!

kaylsd · 08/11/2021 19:19

@paintfairy girl get yourself one with a mince pie for the festive vibes, you won't regret 🙌🏻 I don't think I've ever had a nice speculum, can I have your Gynae specialist if they have a gentle touch as every time I have to do a range of coughing motions whilst I'm getting rammed in not a nice way with either plastic or metal instrument 🙃🤣
@franklydear you do right girl! Let me know if you try the festive late ranges, need to tick them off also 😋
@minster2012 shall I write to them if there’s a sudden influx of profit around the UK at this time of their hot chocolates to see if I can claim a free voucher 🧐

Girls I don’t know if it’s been over your newsfeeds but what’s your vibes on the travis Scott concert? Of how there’s conspiracy theories of how he did a satanic ritual? and sacrificed people at his consent as they were dying :o, absolutely freaking me out now to go to another concert as people were killed / trampled on / spiked injections it's actually scary the times we are living in.. or it is to me anyway 🙈

InkyPaper · 08/11/2021 20:23

Mini catchup...

@gcat16 congratulations!! 🎉🎉

@kaylsd you looked beautiful! Glad you had a fab wedding reception!

@Juno231 bloody AF!! Here's hoping this is a 28 day cycle for you then 🤞

@Vil10 our first appointment lasted a max of 15 minutes. The doctor talked through our medical history, then told us nothing would happen naturally so she was recommending us for IVF with ICSI. Then an internal ultrasound was booked in for me and a blood test for DH. But I don't know if that's usual as we skipped ovulation drugs and IUI and got sent pretty much straight to the IVF

@Minster2012 Jesus wtf is wrong with people?! How could someone say that? You're great and deserve only good things ❤️

So I have suddenly become incapable of working out how time works 😂 I keep thinking it's the ultrasound tomorrow...but it's literally in a fortnight. I spent all last week saying it was happening on Monday only to remember it was Tuesday. My concept of time and dates is gone 😂🙈 filled in the clinic forms today, which was a right barrel of laughs 🙄 I feel like it's just repeating all the info we shared with the GP, then the hospital, and now the new clinic. It was frustrating to have to go through it all again and DH was getting on every one of my last nerves. Weird symptoms still happening (boobs are killing me!! And I am crazy hormonal) So I'm assuming AF will show....sometime soon?! Otherwise there's something else going on and I do not have the energy to deal with that.

DKDK123 · 08/11/2021 20:42

@Kirky658, you have every reason not to keep up, you've definitely got your hands full right now! We just like a wee pop on to say hi every now and then so we can catch up with how you and Alice are doing, dont worry about keeping up. I hope the new therapy is useful when you start it and hopefully Alice settles more on her new milk.

@manifestingbaby both of you sick on FW what rotten luck!!! Hopefully you feel better soon and can get a sneaky one in at the end of FW.

@Minster2012 the announcement went down really well, loads of really supportive messages from friends and family. And lots of really heartfelt ones beyond the big standard congratulations, and I think its because they knew what it took for us to get here that they genuinely were really really happy for us. Sent quite a similar message to my work colleagues in the group chat too and when I went in today they were all so unbelievably supportive. Some more came forward privately to tell me of their past losses and others got on at me for not telling them sooner so they could have helped more as they twigged some of the losses would have been at work given I'm there so much. All in all it was such a positive but emotional day. I did have one slight wobble where I thought shit now everyone knows what if something still goes wrong then I need to tell everyone the bad news. But I gave my head a shake, read thru that post I sent you on the other bus and tried to stay positive again, I know it'll come in waves for the whole pregnancy as it will for you too. We've just got to get you over this next scan hurdle first then hopefully you can ride the positive wave for a while and the negative ones will get increasingly shorter and smaller for both of us. Just read on further down about what someone said to you. Utter BS, dont you go taking in a word of what they said, too many bad people have unwanted pregnancies for my liking, karma definitely doesn't keep track of the ttc journeys or every single person on this bus would have a sticky bean first go. This is your little jellybean, you deserve it, this is your time and its here to stay.

@larrythelizard 6am gym is dedication, go you! 💪

@juno231 how rude of the witch to arrive a day early to spoil your plans 😣 maybe she'll change her mind next month and adjust for better January timing, probably not as we all know she's an inconsiderate bitch, but we can all hope for you.......or that she doesn't appear at all next cycle for good reasons!

@paintfairy try not to stress I'm sure it'll be fine, if you're used to lifting things and it's not continuously it won't put too much strain on your body. Just use it as a good excuse to rest up and take it easy now have your OH run about after you.

@Franklydear so glad your blood tests are arranged. Hopefully they shed some light and it's just a tiny little thing that needs changing, a few pills to pop and bang you get a bfp.

@kaylsd hot chocolate and brownie sounds just the treat after the hsg. Glad to hear all's clear, hopefully the wee rummage around they've had in there helps make an extra easy path for those swimmers this cycle and leads the way to a bfp.

becarefuloutthere · 08/11/2021 20:43

@Minster2012 oh I think I know who it might be, what a shame! 😣
@clolo good luck for Saturday! 🤞🏾
@kaylsd I've seen the travis Scott stuff too, scary stuff! Not sure I believe the Satanic element of it but it's defo sad and puts you off gigs/festivals. Those poor ppl and their families, very sad 😔
@InkyPaper bless you, prob the anticipation of knowing it's coming soon! Hope all goes well when the time comes🤞🏾

Manifestingbaby · 08/11/2021 23:33

Thanks all. I've checked my app and actually not as far into this cycle as i thought so hopefully still time 🤞 might do a few opks to see what sort of lines i get over the next couple of days.

@Juno231no stomach bug 🤢 hope af plays ball. Or is she here already?

@Minster2012 seriously? What a cruel thing to say. Sorry you are still feeling bit pessimistic, hopefully it eases in time.

@Kirky658 oh hope the milk change helps. So hard when you have to keep trying things. The crying is so hard too, breaks your heart. Hope this change does the trick x

@kaylsd glad the hsg went ok and all looked clear.

@Vil10 think you've already got good answers on tbe appointment but just to say good luck.

@Franklydear good that's hapand soon too.

bez91 · 09/11/2021 07:06

Mini catch up...

Nice to hear you enjoyed @paintfairy 😂

@Minster2012 you are doing well missus, you've got this. 2 more sleeps! Hope you're feeling more on an even keel this morning!

@Franklydear wow that's quick your GP sound like they might be ok!

Back from holiday with a bang, £100 fine at the airport I suspect, waiting for it to come through. DH picked up me and DD from a bus stop with red double lines. It was 9pm so not busy and couldn't walk much further with a child asleep on my back, CCTV car pulled in behind us in the bus stop as I was loading her in the car 🤦🏼‍♀️ l
