The weather has definitely turned chilly, so it’s time to hunker down on that Willy 🍆

Its Halloween time full of ghosts and ghouls 👻🎃but will our f*ck boy bodies make us into the fools?

Come on universe we’ve done our time, we’ve had lots of tricks so give us our treats 🐣.

Whether you are TTC “normally”, IUI/ivf or anything we are a crew that cling together to the bitter end & always ready to help a sister out.

It costs an embarrassing story for your ticket, doesn’t have to be TTC related as we know laughing when TTC is needed.

If you see mention of Instagram I have a public account where a lot of people are linked too:
Minstermusings, and a few people have created new anonymous accounts to record their TTC journey/life stupidities m/general annoyances on…just don’t mention TTC on a personal account please!

@Juno231 is the charts queen @MrsBiddy she might be able to shed some light...? I'm hoping just late implantation 🤞🏼

You're doing really well to be pushing on with getting the help you need @Kirky658, well done!

@paintfairy ha I know what you mean - it's Chesapeake

Oh that's always annoying @Manifestingbaby, bloody germs!

6am gym for me this morning as I have a call at 8am, was awful and I didn't do very well at all. Suppose it's better to have gone than not gone but still a bit grumpy about it all.

I've hit CD29 for the first time in months, unsure why this cycle has decided to do a decent LP, last time it randomly did I got excited and thought my body was fixed - not falling into that trap again!

Juno231 · 08/11/2021 07:36

@Manifestingbaby nooo, do you both have the cold from hell?

@MrsBiddy the dotted crosshairs means FF isn't sure when you ovulated. With no opk and ewcm logged and a slow rise I think it's gotten confused - I'd guess you look around 11dpo though?

@larrythelizard 6am gym would kill me. Yay to a good LP though!

@paintfairy been following all your updates, can't believe you're PUPO! I'm glad you managed to get one spare as well ♥️

12dpo today and temp has dropped massively. I'm hoping for AF to show tomorrow for IVF planning reasons but I'm sure she'll arrive today out of spite.

paintfairy · 08/11/2021 07:37

@Minster2012 I'm going to try to do very little today. I'm already stressing I've done too much. Step away from Google....... But transfer day maybe I should have done nothing. Issue is- i have the horses and there is lifting involved and there's nothing i can do about it. Clearly I have not been cleaning up though. 🤣 Or nothing significant. We had to go to the tip yesterday but I only drove (went in my truck) and DH did all the unloading etc.
And probably because jake is terrified of her. 🤣
@Kirky658 I think you are doing well to still keep dipping in! Many other new mums don't manage at all. And you've had a lot going on in addition. So don't apologise. Its always lovely to see you though.
@larrythelizard I'd be very grumpy about 6am gym. Either way. 🤣
@Manifestingbaby sick? Noooooo.

paintfairy · 08/11/2021 07:38

@Juno231 spite. 🤣 But yes she will..... 🤬

MrsBiddy · 08/11/2021 07:55

Thanks ladies xx

@Juno231 sorry I didn't add OvuSense chart, OvuSense says I'm 11 dpo 😯

Perhaps I have tested abit early 😅😣

I shall twiddle my thumbs for abit longer x

Juno231 · 08/11/2021 08:09

@MrsBiddy ah, 11dpo it is!

@paintfairy I'm sure you're fine - I don't think we're/the embryo is that delicate! And yes - I think she has arrived! Biatch. I'm now predicted AF on the 1st of Jan which is the Saturday of a bank holiday weekend. So looks like I'm not going to be able to start until the end of Jan now.

paintfairy · 08/11/2021 08:16

@Juno231 well that's kind of what I think. But they tell you no lifting at all and I do have to lift some heavy things. Not for 5 hours a day or anything. And it's stuff I'm used to. Odd how the dos and don'ts vary by clinic too. Mine says you can have warm baths and can dtd. 🤷‍♀️ I'll be doing neither. 🤣
That's really annoying. Bit late now but you could have done with some of that stuff from the gp that delays your period for holiday? Maybe it'll come later next time? What an arse though. Talk about sods law.

Kirky658 · 08/11/2021 08:22

@manifestingbaby @minster2012 thanks both. Alice is good, reflux is still challenging and she's screaming hungry literally all the time 😢 but I'm changing her milk this week so we will try that.
@paintfairy ❤️

paintfairy · 08/11/2021 08:26

@juno231 Oh - something else- it says you can drink up to 6 cups of tea a day?! I've been rationing myself to 2! And then decaf.
@Kirky658 I hope the milk change works. You will sort this but its trial and error. Once she's settled and happy you'll feel much better, I'm sure. You've got this. 😊

Minster2012 · 08/11/2021 08:31

@Juno231 does a day make a huge difference to the ivf? How's the new job? Really 🤞🏻for no witch today

@larrythelizard it's def better to have gone than not 💪🏻

@paintfairy I think not chilling out on transfer date is ok, implantation wouldn't be that day so don't worry just try chill as much as possible

OP posts:
Minster2012 · 08/11/2021 08:33

Ahhhh damn it @Juno231 🖕🏻witch

@paintfairy mine said no lifting too but they were more bothered about saying DEF no twisting

@MrsBiddy def still fine then 🤞🏻

@Kirky658 we are here for you, hopefully changing the milk will help and make things easier

OP posts:
paintfairy · 08/11/2021 09:03

@Minster2012 very true! Hopefully my chances aren't ruined yet then. I will certainly try not to twist.
I think the issue with @Juno231 is that the 1st is a Saturday and the next working day is Tuesday. I'm unsure how short protocol works though and at what point you have to ring. But it would obviously already be day 4. Things never bloody time right.

bez91 · 08/11/2021 09:06

@Juno231 ffs you were only asking for 24 damn hours, not even that really! Bitch!

Take it easy as possible @paintfairy saw your IG. Don't bother with the hoovering just embrace it. Once you've got plasterboard on the wall you'll be more satisfied than the end product 😆

Flying home today, meh. Not sure why I committed to work appointments tomorrow when we won't get home until the early hours 🤦🏼‍♀️

larrythelizard · 08/11/2021 09:09

Oh annoying @Juno231, typical!!

@paintfairy oh hadn't thought about that, do they recommend bed rest?! You could just slope off and get comfy and cosy?! I like the idea of bed rest...! Oh just read on. Presumably there's a halfway house between 5 hours hard labour with the horses and bed rest?!

You'll get there @Kirky658, also you're getting closer to being able to wean and I know of refluxy babies that have been so much happier on solids 🤞🏼

Juno231 · 08/11/2021 09:26

@Minster2012 what paintfairy said. If next cycle then was 28 days (which they sometimes are) then I'd definitely be able to start the IVF cycle

@paintfairy wth - that's more than double the recommend 200mg of caffeine 😁. Although I never believed the caffeine rules - all the research backing it seems to show a correlation with miscarriages but not a causality 🤷

larrythelizard · 08/11/2021 09:31

Yes @Juno231 there's a good pregnancy book by an economist called Emily Ostler who talks about the difference between correlation and causation...really interesting!

Minster2012 · 08/11/2021 10:45

So if I'm reading the caffeine thing right (correlation vs causality) it's more an incline in MC with those drinking more caffeine rather than a likely result? Is that what you mean @Juno231 @paintfairy @larrythelizard? (Might go put the kettle on!)

My clinic actually said no bed rest after transfer but the afternoon of transfer def chill out basically not do anything but then carry on as normal without the lifting & twisting. I dog walked, continued running round after DS but made sure we did activities where he was quite independent from me so I'm sure doing your horse tasks are fine just try not to overdo it...but there's no need to do shed loads of hoovering as you might inadvertently twist 😂

@bez91 noooooo to end of holiday, hopefully the appointments will make the day go quickly, I would say sleep on the plane but with DD probs not possible 😂

OP posts:
larrythelizard · 08/11/2021 11:04

Dedicated @bez91 👏🏼

Yes that's what it seemed to suggest @Minster2012. It was a good book actually and may help you read about things that make you anxious? I'm quite fact and data driven so I enjoyed the way she reads all the studies and comes to her own conclusion and tells you why.

It's this one -

Expecting Better: Why the Conventional Pregnancy Wisdom is Wrong and What You Really Need to Know https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1409177920/ref=cmswwrcppapiglttfabc5P7ZBZ6ZMW3X27SASGXF

Vil10 · 08/11/2021 11:24

@Minster2012 the new Fitbit update must've read my mind too, on the new update it has a "stress management" and "track your mindfulness" area, it tracks your stress from your amount of sleep/rhr/exercise etc and the mindfulness bit has little videos in to help you relax and meditate etc!! Cannot wait to use it later!

@larrythelizard I'm trying too, even thought these last 6/8 months I haven't really tracked or anything ive still been feeling really down about it and I just think feeling like that isn't doing me any favours so need to focus on the positive!

@kaylsd love that picture!! Your dress is gorgeous!! Good luck with the hsg today x

@gcat16 lovely news! Congratulations❤️ he definitely put the phone down and felt like a dick head didn't he! Just hoping my appointment comes through quick!

@DKDK123 hahaha it's definitely a possibility!! Your mum sounds lovely, glad she could come and help!!

@paintfairy you just try and relax and rest, leave the dust and the hoovering, thst can wait!x

@Kirky658 how is all the counselling going? And how is Alice?x

@MrsBiddy you aren't out yet!!

@larrythelizard amazing on the 6am gym!! At least you did it, a session is better than none!!

@Juno231 dam stupid bitch af!!

So we had a lovely day yesterday, anyone who has me on insta might've seen my story of OH with our friends baby, omg my ovaries were twitching like mad!!!🥺 feeling good and positive today and cannot wait for the week ahead!

Just a question for those ivf'ers, what did your first fertility appointment involve? I'm waiting on my appointment letter for my first gynae appointment and I'm wondering which will happen/will be said

Juno231 · 08/11/2021 11:35

@Minster2012 yeah as in people that drink more caffeine are more likely to have MCs - but it's not BECAUSE of the caffeine - the link is that nauseous people drink less coffee and women with nausea/morning sickness are less likely to MC.

Juno231 · 08/11/2021 11:39

@vil10 the first one basically goes through your tests to date, checks lifestyle questions (this is where a few of us were told for the men to not drink protein shakes). Usually they then make you do a repeat SA plus some extra blood tests for things like rubella immunity, and to check your AMH. They also usually recommend scheduling in a hycosy or HSG, plus another ultrasound.

Once all tests are done you have another meeting to go through the results, if nothing was wrong then they refer you to IVF if it's already been two years of ttc. Otherwise you might just have to wait until the two year mark before the referral.

Minster2012 · 08/11/2021 11:52

I see thank you @Juno231 @larrythelizard I might look into that at the end of the week. My head is doing the disaster theories on not getting stuff atm like I'm running out of my proceive trimester 1 vitamins but is there any point ordering trimester 2 ones?! And buying any more non alcoholic drinks (having drunk my last one last night) I might as well wait cos if not needed I'll be hitting the alcohol. Stuff like that. Stupid brain.

@Vil10 so all aligning your help you out with your health & mindfulness kick, excellent

OP posts:
paintfairy · 08/11/2021 11:55

@Vil10 yes the nhs checked about protein shakes. So did the ivf clinic. Interestingly my clinic also checked several times we weren't taking any Chinese herbal medicine. Apparently there's research that appears to indicate this has negative impacts on ivf. But at my first nhs appointment (by phone) it really just went over any test results we had already, what they planned to do etc. And booking anything in.
@Minster2012 @Juno231 who knows about the caffeine. I just thought safer to avoid. There's also some stuff around that it has negative impacts on ttc so I made DH cut down also.
@bez91 boo to end of holiday.
@larrythelizard yes somewhere in between! I'm trying to have rest time.

God I'm so bloated. You know when you can't bear any extra pressure so therefore you feel like you'll wet yourself if anything is in your bladder? I'm there. Which is why transfer stressed me. But it's still not bloody improving.

bez91 · 08/11/2021 12:07

@Minster2012 damn brain! Not long to wait now. I thought I was tempting fate and got the tri 2 proceive, it was on offer though so felt justified. I get it 💕

Vil10 · 08/11/2021 12:10

@Juno231 so will OH be with me at the first one? Because it said it would be a gynaecology appointment but we haven't yet had a phone call appointment or anything together! I was vaccinated against rubella so should be okay, remind me again what AMH is tested for? I feel like it's so much to take in!! I think they'll flag up OH's low morphology as something wrong so hopefully it'll just continue instead of us having to wait!

@Minster2012 I'm getting back into loving the gym too, I feel like a new woman😂

@paintfairy OH stopped with the protein shakes about a month ago, he just has extra eggs now for the protein instead, the nhs didn't mention anything to him but I told him from the info you lot gave me! So it's basically just a recap of everything and to give them chance to look at everything? I thought it would be that, it jusr confused me when they said it would be a gynaecology appointment! Urghh sorry for the bloating, it's awful isn't it!
