So I had the dildo wand this morning. 1 follicle is over 21mm already and I'm only on day 10 of the cycle! So I have to trigger today and of course I don't carry the injection around with me so DH will have to come into the city centre to meet me which will mess up his day. Last cycle I didn't ovulate til day 23 so I was expecting there to be nothing happening today. No consistency whatsoever here.

Anyway I'm glad it's happening faster this month but very pissed off that the thyroid might mean that I don't actually ovulate at the moment.

Also I met 2 colleagues who live near the hospital at the bus stop right outside the women's hospital so they probably think I'm pregnant. Hopefully no rumours emerge!

So I rang up this morning again trying to get a phone app to discuss OH's results with my gp and to get the referral, they're ringing me back after 1 this afternoon, and they said my recent blood tests were normal so I'm going to go in later on and pick them up so I know exactly what they were! AF has left the building and I'm ready for some 🍆 ! Hope everyone has a happy Tuesday

Also quick question, OH is at a different gp to me, so they don't have access to his SA results, will I just need to email them over after speaking to them?

Not great news this morning. I thought I'd be ok about it but I'm not.
Only 8 eggs were mature and 5 fertilised. We won't get any update now until Saturday morning, the day of transfer.

I wanted to DTD yesterday on the off chance that things moved faster than usual this month (which I now know they did obviously) but he had relieved himself already. So now we haven't even had sex cos I was away at the weekend and ovulation is happening any time now. Boo!

@Somatronic yeah, I can't say it was a fun conversation, but I don't think she meant it maliciously. Just thoughtless 😔 that sucks about your thyroid! Hope they can get it straightened out for you asap

@paintfairy I would say don't lose hope, 5 were still fertilised so there's still a chance. Big hugs ❤️❤️❤️ I think we got screwed waiting for those test results. They put us on the portal ages and ages ago, but now it just seems to be constant chasing, and I hate the "why are you ringing and bothering us" tone you get. Haha, people literally bus their kids to our street and they go around in groups together. Essentially for 2 hours there wasn't a lot of sitting down, just opening and closing the door!

@Justanothercyster yeah, I think she was being thoughtless rather than malicious, but it still stung.

@InkyPaper afraid to say the waiting never stops cos even if you get pregnant it's waiting fir scans for reassurance I'm afraid. I always got that "stop chasing/leave us alone time" but I don't care! Keep going

@Somatronic there's still time to DTD today isn't there? Even if it's trigger day? Or is that not allowed? It really seems like a weird uncontrolled approach. The ppl waiting at the bus stop prob won't even think about it

@paintfairy don't be disheartened they could all make it or 3 and so have a good one for sat transfer then a couple to freeze? Remind me again what your ccg's status on how many attempts/frozen attempts you are eligible for?

@Minster2012 unfortunately we only get 1 round but we do get all frozen transfers, there's no limit. Other than what you've got in the first place. Which is why I was hoping we would have some to freeze as a back up.
And I didn't watch mafs last night but there's some mental things happening. I also read a spoiler on fb and it really did shock me. I was not happy. Georgia reminds me of an American. Screechy. 🤣

@Minster2012 yes we will do it tonight, twice on Thurs and at the weekend if possible. I just always worry when I haven't gotten in ahead of ovulation, if you get me.

@paintfairy it's disheartening when the numbers seem to plummet but hopefully a good number of the 5 fertilised ones make it. Everything crossed for you.

@paintfairy 5 is still a strong number to hopefully get those additional ones (if they are needed) so I'm channelling grow cells grow for you! Yesss she is so American urgh I couldn't stand that much pink 😂😂

@Somatronic but if trigger is today then it's usually OV 36 hours later so you will have covered before OV too 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Yeah I guess I should be happy with 5. Realistically with the average drop off rates (they said 80% will be mature, 70% of those will fertilise) then we would have probably only had 5 from the original 10 i thought I had. I was just more hopeful because we got 12. I've had my cry and I've moved on. 🤣

@Minster2012 I'll print OH's off at home and if they ask for them I can always drop them off tomorrow!

So went to my gp to get my results printed, an elderly woman, I'd say about late 60's has just started working behind reception and can't grt the hang of it, I was waiting 10 mins for her to print them out, anyway I walked out, noticed she'd just printed off what they were testing and the ranges, not the actual results ffs, so had to go back in and went to another woman, LH is 5.6 and FSH is 5.7

I can see that you would expect/hope for more @paintfairy but 5 is still a decent number. Well done for having a cry and keeping moving.

@Vil10 honestly the saga of you getting your tests and your results could fill a thread with it all!

I'd give them until Thursday lunchtime @InkyPaper then get back on the phone - make you their priority!

Thanks everyone. I suppose when the embryo transfer rate success is only 26% for my age, I was just working on the lines of you ideally need 3 or 4 eggs getting to blast stage to give it a good shot. And its unlikely we'll get that, so it's disappointing. However- it could be worse so maybe i should be grateful. DH pointing out it was pointless bothering, probably didn't help. 🙄🤣

So got a phone app to speak to the doctor about OH's SA results and to get our referral, they said they'd ring me between 1-4 this afternoon, I asked them nicely if they could make sure it is between those hours because of work, kept my phone on at work, got to 4:40 they hadn't rang, I left to do a few bits, came back 10 mins later, they'd rang, I rang back, on hold for 25 mins, only to be told "the doctor has left now, you'll need to ring back tomorrow morning at 8 to try and get another appointment", fair to say I lost my shit, so I've come home in a right mood, gone completely off plan and off my diet, fed up to fuck, the end.

The clinic emailed back!! I have a date with dildo-cam and DH has a SA on 23rd and we have an appointment the week after 😁 I'm so relieved - there's finally movement!!

@paintfairy I had a specific person to email because of the mix-up with my phone number, I reckon that's the only reason I got a response 😂 I'm keeping everything crossed that your 5 beat the odds!

@InkyPaper I did too, she just never replied. 🤣 Its annoying your appointment is the week after? Is that by phone? Mine was the following morning. Grrr. At least something is happening though. Once you get in then everything seems efficient. I can't decide if we picked the right clinic or not. They've not been forthcoming with tissues or info. 🤣 But everyone has been nice, when I've been it's been on time, they've called when they say they will etc. So 🤷‍♀️

I think it's just impossible to tell with these things until after the fact, but it's good that they've been on time and contact you when they say they will. That's something at least. I was actually quite pleased the consultation was only a week later 😂 I think we had to wait for 3 weeks at the hospital to hear anything, if not longer actually, now I think about it.

@Vil10 totally missed your post earlier - wtf is wrong with your doctors?! I'm not surprised you lost it with them, I think I would've too!
