It costs an embarrassing story for your ticket, doesn’t have to be TTC related as we know laughing when TTC is needed.

@Minster2012 what vaccine did you have? I've been trying to get my gp to give me my second Oxford one and he won't until I'm 36 weeks because he said they don't know enough about the Oxford in pregnancy, and I can't switch and have Pfizer or Moderna 😫 and then guess what... the only test I never wanted to see 2 lines on was a covid test....and yesterday I've felt breathless all day, even when talking... so done one last night! And it's positive. 😩 rung the MAU and they said to stay home and rest and stay hydrated and cancel my growth scan next week :( which I was really looking forward to because this wee one is very small :(

Also means due to covid poor DD can't go trick or treating...any ideas so she doesn't miss out??

I thought my smears started at 20 as well so I think I'm with @paintfairy, I'm shocked they've increased it @2020mission i thought there was a big push for lowering the age? Jade goody and all? It's crazy you've not had one @lucyrp

Sorry didn't answer @Hopeful110 I had the pfizer they only have that round here, I had AZ before (but prob shouldn't as I have a clotting condition) I'm so sorry it's come too late. Last night at the birthday party I went too the kids wanted to go trick or treating but the village isn't doing it tonight so I asked the kids to stay in a room whilst I hid sweets they'd already been given around the house & we then went treat hunting where I put some out that were easy then hid some & said things like "what do you have after tea before bed?" (A bath) and they ran off to find them. We then had to sit down & count so they all got equal but it worked as an inpromptu thing. Depending how old DD is you could actually do a treasure hunt of clues

@Vil10 after I wrote that I looked online and you can actually get invited from up to 6 months before you turn 25 so I guess that's why you're able to! I'm an august baby so I'm the youngest in my school year 🙈 I won't be invited until maybe February or later I'm guessing !

@Hopeful110 that's odd they're not letting you have the different one maybe because its your second but when I went for my first the other day there was someone having their booster and they'd had Astra zeneca for both their first and second but we're have Pfizer for their booster dose ?

@Minster2012 mad isn't it! And I think once you're sexually axtive like @2020mission said or once you've had children you should definitely be able to have them!

@Minster2012 ahh that's a good idea! Shes 4 and a half so she should be able to grasp the game! Il try that with her lol! Thanks for the idea! Yeah I just wanted any of them to protect baby but can't for love nor money get one! Which is just typical. It isn't too bad atm, just a head cold and breathless so aslong as it doesn't get any worse I can manage :)

@lucyrp ohhh really?? No one seems to be working from the same page...some areas are allowing you to mix them and some aren't I think must be the case then :( my OH said to just go and get the second dose of Pfizer at a walk in clinic but I was worried to do that incase anything went wrong. What you's upto for Halloween tonight? Take it none of us got an extra hours sleep then 🤣 xx

@Hopeful110 that’s horrid! Will they move the scan for you? Last year we did all evening Halloween movies in costume and lots of different sweeties in Halloween bowls, this year we are out looking at decorations, not trick or treat, we are not afraid but we are talking our friends child, very vulnerable parents, and they don’t want her accepting candy, I can’t do with the argument so we are going with that, I got sweets to give them and so do their parents
@lucyrp I thought the booster could be mixed, I’ll be due it in a couple of weeks, the smear it should be as soon as sexually active or wanted, it’s not a costly complicated procedure
I finally got the opks to work properly! Don’t laugh it’s daunting

@lucyrp @Hopeful110 its actually laughable that they are mixing them. You can't 'boost' what you never had. Pfizer and AZ work on completely different technologies- Pfizer is RNA and AZ isn't. Mixing 2 that are the same technologies might work (and there are others out there obviously) but those 2 won't. The only way to get full coverage would be to start Pfizer from scratch. The fact people are shoving anything into anyone is somewhat worrying.
As for having covid whilst pregnant- yes that's obviously completely not what you want. But the vaccine won't have stopped it and you've already had something. So fingers crossed won't get too ill. Hopefully you can entertain DD another way. Its hard when they were excited!

@Minster2012 I don't feel any different. 🤣 The dog coming in and knocking the needle out before I'd finished was less than ideal though. Clearly he couldn't wait 4 more seconds to be stroked. 🙄 DH proper stressed me out yesterday. He was taking out the old fitted wardrobes. Nothing is ever done without a saga. I nearly murdered him. So much for me not getting stressed.

Poor you @Hopeful110 - hope you aren't too unwell with it. Take care and hope you feel better asap, just have a low threshold for seeking help if you're feeling poorly. x

I'm due my booster vaccine this week, as a HCP. The RCOG guidance that was updated recently says it's still advisable if pregnant so will go ahead with it.

Got a 1-2 weeks on a clear blue digital this am so starting to believe it's really real. 😊

@paintfairy I agree with you re. The mixing of them, I had AZ for my first two and I believe the booster is Pfizer. Not sure what else to do though.

It's pissing it down here, we're meant to be going on a village spooky scarecrow trail. DS can't wait, have a feeling it's gonna be a waterproofs and wellies job. Or a small boat... 🛥 ☔️ 😫

The saga continues. All we are doing is arguing. The issue is- after doing things we never put the kitchen door back on. Its easier without. But because we are needing to knock plaster off in the hall I did to put it on to stop the dust going into the kitchen. Even though nothing has changed - for some reason the door isn't fitting. DH is hardly a diy type either. The hinges were left on the door so it's just a case of screwing them back where they went. You'd think. But the door seems too big. 🤦‍♀️ So the argument now is- it's taking up time. And I want everything perfect and therefore I am the problem. And we'll just have to manage with it.
I mean- if wanting a door to close is me striving for perfection then? 🤷‍♀️ In my mind the purpose of the pissing door is to bloody close or why else would you bother having one? 🤣 Honestly, I'm going to kill him.

@paintfairy that is our style of diy, so our solution is just one of us do it, that way we don’t kill each other, genius!
We are having a mini tropical storm, not sure any walking about will happen this evening

Yeah is it worth pushing for starting from scratch with the Pfizer or do you think now I've got covid I should be alright for the 5/6 months? It's so confusing how the advice varies :( I feel okay though, so hoping in a couple of days it'll ride itself out and leave me alone xx

@paintfairy yayyy to the trigger. Meh to arguing though! We bought a couple of "dust guard" things from screwfix. We had doors on but they were great for dust whilst we did a knock through.

God - we've had trick or treaters round, I was in the middle of hoovering and thought the dog was just being a knob. 😆 We've got zero sweets because I didn't acknowledge it was today. In my head we are nowhere near November. Awkward.

We've had easily over 100 trick or treaters tonight - they cleared us out of sweets in just under two hours!

Saw family yesterday on DH's side - my SIL, who knows we're doing IVF, told me she's really grateful for being so fertile and that they're going to have another baby next year once her current birth control is done with. So that conversation was...fun. Despite that, it was still nice to see them all, she wasn't being intentionally mean, just thoughtless. I doubt we'll be doing anything for IVF before next year now though, unless the clinic really moves super fast with appointments, but we'll see. Genuinely knackered now though, keep feeling like AF is gonna show any minute and then nothing. So that's fun.

I had a grand weekend but got my latest thyroid results last night which show it's gone underactive again which means I basically can't get pregnant right now. I'll ask the nurse about it at my follicle tracking scan on Tuesday to see if there's any point proceeding and I have my next appointment with the endocrinologist on the 18th November but I'm quite frustrated. My thyroid was fine for 2 whole years up until the month before I started TTC and now it's acting the maggot again. I'd nearly get it removed if they let me.

@InkyPaper I can't work out what they are faffing at? They called me 2 or 3 days after I was added to the portal. They wanted to give me an appointment for the following week, but I had to do 2 weeks, purely because I was away. And the wait time on their site says 1 week only now (did say 4). One thing I will say is that you never see or speak to the same person more than once. And I'm pretty sure whoever is doing my EC isn't my consultant, from what she said on the phone. 🙄 As for the SIL, yeah that's shit. People! How do you even have 100 trick or treaters? 😱
@Somatronic oh, that's really frustrating. Great timing. Are you on medication for it?
