So, story wise, we've been trying since March of this year. I've got endometriosis so was conscious it may be difficult to conceive (although we were v fortunate when I got preggo with DS who's nearly five as was on 2nd cycle).

I've had spotting throughout LP pretty much every month and no hint of a BFP, ultrasound showed an endo cyst on my right ovary so had recently had a consultation with a private fertility and endo consultant about what to do about it. (I had a previous endo cyst removed that was 10cm before we had DS and was really ill with it, needed four blood transfusions so was v keen to leave well alone if possible but didn't want to leave it if meant not being able to conceive).

And the repeat scan was booked for this week 😬 to check on this pesky cyst and check my AFC incase of needing egg collection pre-cyst surgery. So will need to decide what to do about it as it's £150 and not sure if it's necessarily necessary now...

@feliznavidad2 that 2nd pics def not an evap line, it's so hard to see lines on the phone sometimes but can see pink on that 2nd one. Keeping everything crossed it gets darker over the next few days 🤞 Can you phone your clinic the day before and tell them you've got a cough so need to book a PCR test to buy you an extra few days before having to make a decision on the scan to wait see if there's line progression on your tests?

@larrythelizard I know it makes me want to cry when I think of her in pain! I had a bit of a cry about it all the other night but at least now we know where we stand and we can just focus on getting this referral now and hopefully we get our BFP before needing any help🤞🏼 glad the Botox looks good!! So we're both a little bit hungover today and the plan was to go to nandos and watch the new bond film but it's over near where my mum lives which is only 20 mins away but we're at hers tomorrow for a roast so we said we may as well go to the cinema tomorrow then go to my mums from there, so we've decided on a film day considering the weather is so miserable!! OH really wants a bonk but I don't know if I can risk it with only being CD3, I'm not usually bothered on like day 4 and 5 because it's so light but don't know about day 3😂

I booked in for my smear when I was at the doctors yesterday, my first one! They said I have to ring up on Monday morning to get a phone app with the doctor to discuss our referral, so hopefully I lll get one soon!

@Vil10 oh good on the smear! I've had six so far I think and thought they've always been a breeze so I hope yours is too.

Ooh lazy film day sounds nice, especially where the weather is so rubbish. Although I agree, CD3 sex sounds a bit mucky, maybe try and delay until tomorrow?! 🤔

@Vil10 smears seem easy once you've had all the other shit done. 🤣 @Juno231 @Justanothercyster I used to find them terrifying. These days it seems like such an easy thing to do. 🤪 But great practice, as things will only get much worse if you go through a fertility referral. Its more embarrassing than anything else, and again, that begins to fade! I don't even worry about leg shaving or anything any more. 🤣
@larrythelizard gets pulled over by the police. Why were you using your phone whilst driving? Because I needed to take a rainbow photo for my MN friends. 🤣 That would be hilarious.

@paintfairy aww haha, yes the first one is always awkward. I've had so many hands up my fanny in the last few weeks I feel like I can conquer the world now 🤣

Pah that's NOTHING to us 😂😋**@Vil10* that's a mere tickle isn't it @Justanothercyster* mind you my smear is now of our days cos I was meant to have it in June but then you can't have one within 3 cycles of a miscarriage (may) so was due sep and couldn't get an appointment til I got my BFP so had to scrap it

@feliznavidad2 that's def not an evap line 😊you could always see if you could postpone with a view to then cancelling the scan whilst you are sure?

@clolo I am literally the same with my thoughts, I get a fair few little sharp twinges and those I find reassuring. I would keep chasing that referral can you phone your community midwives?

Trigger 10pm tonight. EC 9am Monday morning! Got to be there at 8am. I didn't really realise (luckily I'm early) that people will having to be staying awake to trigger at like 1am. But over and done with first thing seems good to me.

The first one she couldn't reach, the second one could but cervix was still closed, so it's all moving in the right direction (down and softening), just taking its time. Who knows, they might actually be able to do it on Monday, but I'm not too fussed with induction on Friday anyway now 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Vil10 how have you managed to wangle a smear ?? I think it's so mad that I'm 24 and had 2 children and I still haven't had one single smear 🥴

@Juno231 I feel like I'll be fine with the smear after having an internal scan and I've had something similar to a smear before, I had to have some skin taken from a little tear in my bits😂

@feliznavidad2 hahaha yeah a bit mucky, I managed to persuade OH to wait, I mean I should feel happy that he still fancies me so much when im a hungover greasy mess🤣

@Minster2012 you're only as old as you feel young Minster! We stayed away from the bonkfest, I'm not actually heavy today but still don't think it would be pretty!

@lucyrp when are you 25?? I got my letter about 3 weeks ago and I'm 25 in march, I thought I had to wait until I'd turned 25 but apparently not! It is bad, it should be done at a much younger age I think!

@Vil10 they used to do smears from age 20 in scotland, so I had my first at 20. I was puzzled for a moment there when reading you were just getting your first! It does look like they have upped the age here now to 25 too. I suspect it's because they started to give out HPV vaccinations to a lot of young girls they felt it was less necessary. I think they should really allow it for free as soon as you become sexually active. It's definitely nothing to worry about it takes a minute or 2 and doesn't hurt. If you've had sex you've had bigger in there anyway 😆 so except for having to expose yourself briefly to a nurse, it's all fine.

@Juno231 good plan with the book 👍 I got my husband the pregnancy for men book. I got it as soon as we got our first BFP but then it turned out to be a chemical so he actually read it about a year before this pregnancy. He forgot almost all of it as it was so long before. Definitely best not to read when just TTC as it's really frustrating!

We've had a quiet evening with friends and their DC 'celebrating' Halloween with v excitable four year olds. Told said friend of early BFP news as usually we polish off a bottle of fizz and I think she'd have known... seeing as I can be a wee bit of a booze hound at times. Ready for bed now.
