I started opks ladies, gp call tomorrow, promise, day off so I have no excuse, last hurrah kind of thing, let's throw everything at it, for the little time we have left, didn't have the chat about when to draw a line with DH yet, only this week ds said again how much he wants a sibling, even an annoying one....it might be a case of careful what you wish for

@paintfairy I bet it was fun (and stressful) doing it all though, I'd love to build my own house and OH has been toying with the idea but I just don't know if I'm patient enough and if I could cope with the stress!! On the requirements for referral for my gp I actually don't know I haven't asked, I'm going to once OH gets his SA results! I had the rubella vaccination when I was younger so should be fine for that and I got in for my lh and fsh bloods for Friday morning, winning! I mean I'm not that clued up on all this yet, even though I feel like I should be, but thst all sounds pretty good to me?? Lovely news to come on to!

@Minster2012 definitely, I just want that "I love it, I want it, I can see myself here" kinda feeling! Ohh wow thst would piss me off royally too, I hate when you're trying to get things done and everything seems against you!!

@kaylsd so glad things are moving forward for you!! There's definitely a light at the end of the tunnel!

So I was convinced af was going to arrive this morning but still spotting which is annoying, i mean I should've known really because my cycles are like 28-32 days and I'm on CD31 now, but I have a feeling I'll start tomorrow, so I rang my gp this morning asking for my day 2 bloods, got a phone app with a nurse just to confirm I could get a blood form, then I had to ring reception back to book the tests, before I could say it was for fertility testing so had to be on a certain cycle day, she told me I'd be looking at mid November before an appointment, I then told her what it was for and was hoping they'd have an appointment free on Friday when I'd be CD2, and suddenly an appointment appeared on Friday morning, I mean I'm definitely not complaining, so I have that booked in for Friday morning so hopefully have the results by mid week next week and then we have OH's SA results phone app tomorrow night so by next week we should know where we stand and what to do next!!

Just thought, is CD2 okay for those bloods or should it be CD3? I read it can be between CD2-6...

@Vil10 I always thought it was 2-5. But yeah any day is fine. Its just basically asc long as its before you body starts doing anything again.
And the house still isn't finished after nearly 4 years. Fun it is not. 🤣

Currently it's looking like my Jan cycle would start on the first of Jan which is a bank holiday weekend so I wouldn't be able to start IVF then. Next one would be riiiight at the end. I don't feel like waiting that long 😜. There's still time for things to change though, hopefully I ovulate late next cycle too.

@Juno231 thank you for the welcome to this side of the bus, hopefully it comes with a good newbies leaflet to understand what to expect from now onwards because I haven't the foggiest :')

@clolo thank you hunny! It was the same travel distance of 40-45 mins between them both, I'm glad your treatment has been good with them, boo to the communication being poor though :(

@Vil10 I had my hormone blood work done on day 2 so don't worry about that one I second the stance of if it's between day 2-5 should be okay :) it's amazing how appointments are suddenly found in thin air, my GPS is the same but the receiption team can be abit sassy on the phone when I usually challenge it 🤣

@Juno231 it's official I live in the triangle, our internet is "meant to be" 22, usually comes out at 18, our last barn was 55 so it's a bit of a shock. We have a posh booster system we had at the last place to boost it around the house & it doesn't help much. I'm trying to watch something now & it's buffering, I mean who gets that now?? DTD every other day is great he's finally getting on it!! Come on let's have a BFP before the ivf!!

I might try get my Covid booster tomorrow at a drop in as I figure I have a busy weekend to try keep me busy (or DH if I feel bad)

Sorry I've been really crap this bus the tiredness is kicking my ass, I've literally been coming home from work making dinner putting DS to bed then heading straight to bed myself. And yet despite the excessive tiredness symptom I've still not got that woo hoo I'm pregnant feeling. I remember feeling so positive the first 2 weeks and feeling like there was genuinely something there that was going to last the distance but since then I've been feeling nothing towards it at all, still 100% convinced I'm just waiting to go to a scan and hear that it's stopped growing. Weirdly it doesn't even feel like an anxiety about it more just an acceptance that that's what's going to happen 🤷‍♀️. Have another private scan booked for next weekend at 11 weeks as annoyingly my nhs one isn't until 13 weeks (because you know making the lady with a history multiple losses wait longer is a great idea 🙄). Who knows maybe after the 13 week one if all is still well it might feel more real, DH rarely talks about it think he's just waiting for something to go wrong too, DS is still a firm believer in his 'little sister' tho so he can have faith for us all at the minute. 😂

@Juno231 I'm intrigued how does a trial transfer work, what would they put in there to trial? 🤔 I hope you don't run into any complications but it's good that they do think of things like that tho so you're not wasting an embryo. As for your late ovulation maybe its your body finally throwing things your way for a change so that your January dates align better with what you wanted.

@Lucylulu1 that's what the cheap tests are for, get the strips that are like £3 for 20 on amazon for those times you have an urge to POAS but know it'll be pointless. It saves wasting a FR.

@Minster2012 argggh it's so frustrating, we had that when we first moved in. We seem to be in a signal black hole. We ended up buying boosters. We got the special plug sockets that double up as boosters and it's ok now if we're on WiFi, anyone who visits can't get a signal normally though 🙈

@Franklydear @Minster2012 @DKDK123 they really pull on your heart strings, a few weeks ago DD got really upset crying at nursery and told her teacher she doesn't have any friends to play with at home 😭 hopefully we can all give them their wish!

@paintfairy I know that feeling, we're 4 years in and finally today we're having the last carpet laid and it's done 😬 all good things take time right?

@Juno231 yesss to the temp rise, I really hope you get your BFP before that'd be amazing! I thought that too, what's involved in a trial transfer?

@Minster2012 we haven’t actually been trying that long this time round. This is only cycle 3. Our first took 18months though so we’re expecting to be in for the long haul! I only really started using opk’s towards the end of trying for DD so I’m thinking it’s a good thing to start early this time.

I got my static smiley so dtd last night.

Has anyone ever done smep? It says after a +ve opk you should dtd every day for 3 days. Seems a lot to me!!

@bez91 oh god the little loves 😭😭if you tell all your visitors to turn on WiFi calling on their phones they should get signal, I've just had to reset all my settings & turn my WiFi calling off as that was messing up my signal 😳ahhh the joys of country life!!

Sorry didn't see your post @SGChome20 did you DTD before the static much? I basically did SMEP but I was more focused on the run up, the first month we did it as it said plus another session on the peak day & got a BFP then after that we didn't really do the 3 days after. This cycle I got pregnant on I got an earlier peak than expected & it just so happened we'd had lots of sex before hand as had a child free weekend 😂so by OV day we were exhausted & didn't actually do it then 😂I've attached my chart but I'm a firm believer the run up is important

@Minster2012 yes we dtd every other day in the run up even before I’d gotten high fertility 🤞 that helps. Looking at your chart looks like you got more nookie. Twice on day of O, that’s dedication 😂😂

Congratulations on your bfp! Im sure after what you’d been through it almost felt impossible.

@Minster2012 Secret sex is fine, but not as frequent :) well we'll see what that will lead up to right? I just booked a long weekend in Dublin in December with my SIL and MIL (very lucky at that front, they are the best) so at least if AF shows up that month I can hit the bars with them.
And re: SMEP, last time we were so exhausted we didn't manage OV either hahaha

@SGChome20 Yay for static smilies! Happy DTD :) Yes, we're doing SMEP or a version of SMEP and found it to be very good actually, well at least it worked twice so there's that! We're not starting too early though as minster said it can be a bit exhausting I think. Starting as soon as I have a high reading.

Random note, you know some people will faint when they see blood right? I am the same when I am at the gyn. It's very unpleasant and I have no idea why this happens, but I have to be very focused to not faint when I'm at the gyn and having internal scans.

Thank you @SGChome20 I'm actually lucky I guess to have got pregnant a couple of times relatively quickly but hoping I can hold onto this one...the twice DTD was the day before OV! None on day of OV 😂😂nookie love that word! God I'm pleased I'm ok with needles & foof scanning or I'd have been screwed 😂what do you do to focus on not fainting?!

@Bundaberg84 yeah I guess less DTD but least you e got great plans if it doesn't work, sounds fab

Radio silence over here, currently at home with a hot, coughing DD awaiting another bloody covid swab result - thoroughly traumatised by the whole thing and spent most of last night crying at how shit it is for them, totally irrational and hormonal but just feeling horribly guilty.
To top it off - I am therefore not at work and so have left them short and I finish to wfh tomorrow (nurse so have to go off from 28 weeks..)
AND I have a new job, as of last week, which I will return to - so not only is it leaving for mat leave but if all goes to plan it is leaving forever!!

I've still been reading like a stalker every evening and rooting for you all, it's a very weird situation to be in when I've been so so lucky to get my sticky baby, but the fear of something going wrong is still massively overwhelming.

My SIL has her 2nd baby in December and I'm happy for them but still I find it hard when you see bump photoshoots on Facebook/Instagram 😑 and everyone is gushing their guts out, I can't help but feel abit jealous

@MrsBiddy your chart looks like how mine used to be when I had regular anovulatory cycles :( I used to give up chart in as I was getting frustrated with it and had a little time out from it whilst I was under investigation as to why my cycles went wonky!
@Blackcurrantqueen I hope me & @juno231 can be one of those miracles before IVF it’s a lovely thought 🥺🥰 I’m currently 7 DPO trying not to symptom spot the best I can! It’s awful covid swabs they are so invasive even for adults never mind little ones :( hoping she’s better soon xxx
@SGChome20 I’ve done smep before and was absolutely knackered I won’t lie 🤣 we aim for every other day :) I remember on the 3rd day of doing it everyday DH was complaining he feels like he’s got cramp in his legs 🤣

So ladies I’ve already had care Sheffield fertility ring me today which I was not expecting at all 👀 basically they haven’t received my paper referral yet as it was only sent yesterday but are aware of myself and they said soon as they receive the referral in post they will contact me, she’s going to ring me tomorrow to see if it’s arrived so then she can set me up on the portal but basically said she told me not to worry about anything, it’s all in good hands, she’s going to keep chasing it up for me to feel like we’re not left waiting and from the day they get it to treatment egg collection and transfer they have a liability to ensure it happens all before 18 weeks time if not earlier! Didn’t expect it as I was expecting to wait a few week before I hear anything and I thought it’ll be middle of next year maybe from the majority of MN before 🙈

@Franklydear I think sometimes a male GP can work in your favour. GPS aren't fertility specialists but equally as a male they have no idea what it's like being a women 🙌🏼

Meant to say @Minster2012 on the covid booster, does it have to be 6 months since your last dose? My midwife said they'll arrange me a booster but it's only been 3 months!

Scan day tomorrow, argggh. Heart palpitations and heart rate increase and tapping, fidgeting etc has begun

@Franklydear I've missed this frankly - what are you going to the GP for?

Ladies I've had a crazy day - going home at lunch I had a man opposite me on the tube go into a massive seizure and had to step in to take care of him. Made sure he didn't hurt himself too much, pulled the emergency alarm, got him off the tube with the help of a hot hot hot raf guy and then we sat with him until the ambulance arrived (as we managed to establish it was his first seizure and not standard). Gosh it was madness, him screaming in pain, frothing at the mouth, completely rigid and shaking. Poor guy! He bit himself as well so was bleeding from the mouth.

@bez91 I'll be thinking of you during the scan! This gotta be it!
