@Somatronic @Minster2012 @paintfairy I'm seriously excited about the fries! That's my main concern about OH not being there for egg transfer - he needs to drive me to mcds ideally 😂

@paintfairy thinking of your OH going back into the office actually - we've been told to self isolate from CD8 until egg collection day!

@Juno231 see we have been told nothing. But I was actually reading earlier on FB post different criteria. Some clinics insist on testing. Some say isolate. Realistically cd8 is quite late to isolate? Because I'm only 7 today and panicking about us being ill. I have told him this. But I talk to myself. He isn't going to the office this week now I don't think but he is going out tomorrow night (I say out, not the pub or anything). I'm just hoping EC is the first half of next week and he can go to the office after that! If transfer can't happen that's not actually the end of the world but they need to bloody get the eggs out.

@paintfairy ah yes but it works as that's when they make us do a PCR test as well. They did say that by the time Jan rolls around it might not be a requirement anymore.

@paintfairy I couldn't get through today, they said ring back up tomorrow🙄 I started spotting today so will be CD1 tomorrow, so I'm going to try and book for either Thursday or Friday if I can get through🤞🏼so I've had my day 21 and I had a scan and an internal not that long ago for the aches and pains I was getting so when I had my initial phone consultation before my blood tests the doctor said I wouldn't need those re doing because they were pretty recent! As soon as we get OH's SA results on Thursday I'm going to ring my gp and let them know, they told me to ring them as soon as we know!

You just never know do you unless you actually see it, how bad it would be, but it was bad, and they had a multi fuel log burner that was used for the water too so if you wanted a hot shower you'd need to start the fire, half the radiators in the house were by burner and half were by oil, it was all very old fashioned and too much going on, lots of random flat roofs that needed re doing, huge garden but wayyy too over grown, couldn't really see it, noticed lots of problems basically and it just really put me off! Sounds like you had your problems with yours but glad it's all sorted now!x

@Juno231 I couldn't get through today so going to try again tomorrow! I haven't had the rubella but had the scans and the bloods! Hahaha honestly how I just can't be arsed with it, it's a straight block and delete

@Juno231 that's interesting how different it is but obviously very sensible! Me and DH both need to do a LFT before our scan Friday but we've been upstairs about 5metres away to EPU 5 times and they don't require a bean 🤷‍♀️ I get being sensible over Christmas but I'm sure a few drinks won't hurt, something as an expensive treat so you don't go mad? 😉

@Vil10 ah yeah ours wasn't that bad. But I'm already wondering how we put alternative heating in if the gas thing kicks off, so you might already be half way there with the fire! 🤣 Ours was terrible but not as obvious as that. We looked at ones that were obviously more work though and you do get that feel of dead walking around them. There was no way we'd have taken some of them on.
Does your GP actually have requirements for the fertility referral? Everywhere is different. The rubella status is important as that's a 3 month delay if you turn out not to be immune. The day 2 i would think is pretty important too. Mine was done day 4 I think.
@Juno231 I don't think we have to test. Their policy doesn't say that. However obviously you don't want to be ill. Covid aside- you don't want anything being a problem! I feel better today (I'm blocked up with that thick horrible crap you get after a cold mind) and it's definitely on the out, so I should be ok by next week. But clearly I don't want anything else! They have to be able to access your airway in emergency and obviously you can't be there with tonsillitis or something. 🤣
Apparently DH was going to with today (his day choice) but didn't. However he's not actually told them he's not going this week. 🙄 So then I said what about next week? He then moaned saying how could he plan when I don't even know what I'm doing? (Like I am being difficult and just not saying). He pisses me off- he just doesn't take control and deal with anything. I wish said- plus you are going out tomorrow night and he was like, well what an i meant to do? (There is no life or death situation that he goes). 🤷‍♀️ I've already pointed out it's like he's trying to sabotage it on purpose. Clearly he denies that. But there's no thought there either. I have pointed out that he's given me an illness, which is bad enough on top of drugs that make you feel ill (headaches, hot, tired) and I can't even take flu tablets now either! I mean, don't mind me. 🙄

@paintfairy @Juno231 we never had to test all over last year, didn't even have to isolate, DH still went in work every day they just took my temperature every time I went in.

Oh @paintfairy it's so hard, I'm sure it's just cos he's not thinking, and my DH said the same about the not being able to plan stuff but that's not either of your fault. I'm sure he didn't infect you on purpose, but it's crap. However he'll prob buck up when it's the time & when needed I think it's all just a bit "up in the air" in his mind atm and it's hard to focus on it IYSWIM

@Minster2012 Spotting has started and now red so think AF is definitely on her way, and there was I thinking the stars had aligned and I wouldn't need to go to the fertility clinic place next week. 😫 On holiday so trying to ignore it.

Happy midway half term day to all the others with small ones. DS is being a star, makes me sad how quickly he is growing up - or maybe this is just a reflection on the above and feeling a wee bit wobbly.

@paintfairy oh I know what you mean, mine was like thick fudge -- I don't know how it even managed to get out at times, it should have been stuck to my brain! Sinusitis I believe 😬. And I think your DH (much like mine) just has no clue about how important some of these things are and just think we're exaggerating... If it helps - we're doing IVF in Jan but DH is also planning a ski trip with work? Right over my birthday weekend at that!

@Somatronic I find dildo wand depends on who is on the end of it. I've had 3 in the last week. 2 were OK. 1 was not. She was pushing hard and I was thinking- that hurts! I found the same at the hospital actually. OK they need to angle it to see but they don't actually need to press! Fuck off! 🤣

So- scan update. I'm not sure if it's good or not to be honest. You sit hoping there won't be too many follicles as you don't want to go to a freeze all (and lots doesn't mean good quality) or get OHSS but at the same time not enough is also worrying. What even is not enough? Let's just worry anyway! 🙄
But she showed me the chart thing. I should have taken a photo but felt ridiculous asking. And after realised that since DH isn't there I can say it's for him, so actually isn't that ridiculous. I'll get one next time. But I quickly (how accurate i am is possibly questionable) counted. I look to have 10 between 10mm and 14mm (this is the only bit I'm sure about). Then about 4 more at 8mm. And then some more smaller than that. Which doesn't really feel enough? The scan lady seemed happy with it all and cheerful and said everything was going nicely and on track. And if they progress at their current rate she'd expect them to be here (pointed) by Friday. She guessed they would scan Friday and likely EC Monday. But she said don't hold her to that as it might be an extra day. So look what meds I've got left on Friday before going, so they can check I've got enough. I'll get a call later though once the dr has reviewed it.

Let's hope I feel less bunged up by Monday. I definitely feel better though.

@paintfairy that sounds like a really good number I think! In my head it would be great to get 10 (and it sounds like you'll have more of others catch up) and end up with 4 day 5 embryos? Btw yes to moving in 😂 I promise I'm easy to live with. Me and my gf's often fantasise about having an all women's commune when we retire...

My dildo wand experience yesterday was quite sore tbh and she had to press on my stomach to get a good visual of my small left ovary lol. Was aching all afternoon but I think after all the other things they've done to me this is still my preferred foof procedure 😂.

@paintfairy that's a great number!! It's "usual" to collect 8-15 eggs so having 10 good sized ones now plus another few behind which should catch up his fab!! Then the drop off in fertilisation /growth onto embryos they usually say around half so you could end up with a great number like @Juno231 says I think you sound like you are responding really well to the drugs (your body NOT you liking them 🤪) the ideal is obviously to have good embryo/s to transfer then have a few to freeze in reserve. Sounds like you are in with a fab shot 🥰🙌🏻🤞🏻 still can't believe you have to take your own tissues ffs

@Juno231 yeah maybe it is ok. Someone just said to me that its more ideal they are closer in size than a range as it means they should all be about right. Where as if you get a massive variation you might have loads but actually some will be past it and some not good enough? Who knows. And my AFC was 15 so really I was never going to get 30?
I'm not sure I'm easy to live with. 🤔🤣 Its certainly questionable. Hermit cave on my own i think! 🏝
And yeah, I mean as far as foof procedures go, I think the wand is the best. Years ago I wouldn't have believed you if you said I'd be merrily going in for it, like I was just washing my hands or something really normal. But here we are..... 🤪

Still no temp rise and I'm CD18. Checking my data I've never ovulated this late in the two years I've tracked - CD17 was my previous record!

Secret lurker post, as I had nothing to update which makes me feel a little bit sad some days I finally have the bus moving with my TTC journey!

Long story cut short, my PCOS is now under control as we knew with my periods coming back, showing ive ovulated on metformin and my scan shows that the ovarian volume has now decreased into normal to the point the consultant said that my USS is considered as normal But as you guys previously knew my DH a rubbish second SA and diagnosed with a varicocele which he's under urology for and first appointment in November for that we had our fertility follow up today! We have been officially diagnosed with mild PCOS & male factor infertility and been referred to ACU unit at Care Sheffield for IVF so I guess I move the bus seat into a IVF candidate section, I've been given a leaflet for care Sheffield and got to ring them in 10 days for an appointment if I've not heard anything with them as their consultation time is only 20 days wait which I'm presuming it'll be going for the route of ICSI but it means that we are one step forward with the hopes of a little one... 🤞🏻🥺🌈
I have to go for a HSG when AF comes next week not really for tubes purposes but they want to see the lining incase there's any fluid purposes as it can affect implantation but yeah that's where we are at!

Sorry for being so quiet ladies I just got my self into a little cave of thinking I was never going to move forward in the NHS with waiting since April this year just to get to this point.. but least there's light at the end maybe :)

@Juno231 maybe it's a shift in your body ripening eggs. I've always been about 31 day cycles since coming off contraception. I ovulated CD23 this time I conceived which was completely random

@kaylsd ahh we used them for some private investigations and found them very good. Definitely light at the end of the tunnel for you now things seems to be moving 😊

I've had the MOST frustrating day. Our internet at home is shit, keeps dropping off, not great for doing my main but tedious task today of comparing all of our business rates (electricity, broadband, water) and add to that my phone is playing up to the point where I make a call from inside the house & the person can't hear me. I can hear them clear but they keep saying "you must have bad signal I'm catching every 3rd word". Outside the house is fine. But like I had a call from my antenatal endocrine consultant yesterday & I had to try scream my home land line at her & today the architect had to call on my house phone couldn't do zoom or phone. RIDICULOUS

After the excitement of hearing from the clinic, they've now gone silent on me so I'll be calling them tomorrow 🙄 literally been glued to my phone the past two days. Currently on cd43 experiencing what can only be described as endless ewcm. Literally been two weeks straight and I am confused and also worrying about what new way I'm broken. Thank God science is taking over soon because nature has clearly given up here 😂

@InkyPaper current waiting time according to their website is only 1 week. Definitely ring them!

@bez91 that’s always good to hear! They offered us a couple of clinics and it was a tie between seacroft at Leeds or care Sheffield and it went on the reviews for us which made us choose 🙈 it feels strange to actually feel like we’ve got a plan going forward as we’ve been in limbo for so long, thank you ❤️
@Minster2012 thank you lovely lady! Hope you and your rainbow is blossoming well, I have been keeping a vague tag on the thread but I’ve had a little time out too as I felt like I had not a lot to contribute but it’s nice to know I can check in with the virtual sisterhood and I’ll deffo need help with things when I’m in the swing of IVF it’s all a little bit overwhelming at the thought at the moment but exciting too🙈 modern technology is the worst, shall we bring back carrier pigeons if we can? Hope it resolves itself soon xx
@InkyPaper oh hunn im with you there with those limbo land vibes? Been waiting for today’s kind of outcome since April this year, can you ask your GP to have AF to be induced if it’s being a pain in the arse not complying to come on time? You never know you could be in the title race of the longest cycle of you can beat my 117 days 🤣

@Minster2012 we've been DTD every other day since last Wednesday. Way longer than my normal FW! And lol I didn't realise your house was in the Bermuda triangle. Can anything even be done to improve the signal??
