@feliznavidad2 yes they just count them via dildo wand scan and they should roughly align to your AMH.
@paintfairy yeah I had a 22mm follicle about to pop so they suspected I had more hiding behind it they couldn't see. As for short - it's apparently because my AMH is good and I'm young.

Forgot to say that I'll be having a trial embryo transfer in Nov as well. This is because I've had LLETZ done so they don't want to risk getting to actual egg collection day only for the path to be obstructed. So they do a pretend one now to make sure everything is okay.

@Juno231 what's LLETZ? That's good that they are checking! I had the iui so I guess that reassures me that it's OK in that sense. But it's amazing how many different things can go wrong!
Maybe they are assuming my AMH is shite. But then why not check? But a friend i knew who had it done at my clinic by my dr (and was old) had short, so I've honestly no idea. When I get to talk to him next I'm going to ask.....

@paintfairy Large Loop Excision of Transformation Zone. Aka they used a metal wire and sent electric currents through it to burn off cancer cells on my cervix. Aaand then they did a colposcopy too. So my cervix could be too scarred for easy egg transfer I guess. Plus then when I get pregnant they'll have to monitor my cervix in case it'll need a stitch to prevent a premature birth. The joys of being a woman!

Entering the fertile week, I'm not really having it this month. We have a friend from abroad staying with us for a couple of weeks as he's going to have a surgery soon that can not be done where he lives, or at least the surgeons here are much more used to that type of surgery. Anyways I'm happy for the distraction but also I don't really see when or where we're supposed to DTD - but we'll see I guess :)

Just wanted a little rant and a little sanity check. I'm 6dpo and I am trying to not lose it. I want to test so badly, but know that nothing will show up at this point. I have no symptoms (and I know I can be brutally honest with you ladies), I don't even know if you can have symptoms this early. It's only cycle 4 of TTC for our first, but I feel like I know nothing at all. It's a bit overwhelming. But, this thread is keeping me chuckling and I'm glad I found it

Oh...and I forgot to say I'm almost 36, so as my DH (the D in DH is said with sarcasm at this point) reminds me....time is running out. I wanted to punt him across the living room when he said that

Idiotic DH/P's feature quite heavily in this bus @Lucylulu1! Someone told me on here not to pay attention to symptoms until 10dpo so a while still to go. I'm 35.5 so feel you on the age thing. Just got to keep trying, i think it's something like only 20% chance each cycle so a wonder so many people actually successfully get pregnant!

Tell him his swimmers might not be able to read a map @Lucylulu1 I'm 37.5 and did it (and I'm very faulty) so there's hope for a while yet 🤪

@Juno231 so what's the next step then? And take it the smoking was ok?!

@Minster2012 ah I'm thinking it'll be a boring Xmas as I'll try and stay healthy in the run up! Next step is the trial embryo transfer next month, then both of us get blood tests in Dec and I can order my meds from Boots in Dec too so I'm ready to go in Jan. We'll see what happens - depending on how my next couple of cycles pan out I might have to wait until end of Jan for IVF to start as potentially my earlier cycle will start over the NYE weekend so I won't be able to get in quickly enough with a bank holiday Monday in the way.

I am 36 and ttc. This month is my first month using clear blue ovulation strips (the advanced ones) that apparently tell you your 4 fertile days. Well people I have so far had 4 high days and no peak. My poor husbands willie is tired.

@Minster2012 oh yes I'm definitely a hormonal mess 😂 I'm angry at the slightly thing, for example my brother is coming over later with his bit of fluff and her child. It's not the kids fault but she's a disrespectful little sh*t which we un-affectionately call "the honey-monster" and I just am working myself up into a rage that they're coming over 😆

@Juno231 that's good news and sometimes good that you are told when it will be. It's sometimes nice not to have big decisions under your control and someone to make them for you 😊 that sounds like a plan!

@Juno231 I have to write down what I've taken. Taking 3 things a day, one which varies, is a recipe for disaster. 🤣 I'm not sure what the rationale is for the fluctuating dose? Mostly it doesn't seem standard. We are special. 🤪

@paintfairy ha so she told me she's giving me a higher dose because of my endo and one smaller ovary. Do they just exist in those two doses maybe? So have to alternate to get to a middle ground? I have no idea what meds I'll be taking btw, I just assumed that one is the same as yours due to the amounts mentioned.

@Juno231 no, the one I'm alternating is ovaleap. Its a pen and you just wind the end to the correct dose. The cartridges slot in the pen and come in different sizes. But you just keep putting new cartridges in as you go, so dose size is irrelevant. I'm on 225 and 187.5 of that. Plus 0.75 menopur alongside. Again, no idea why. Maybe I should ask. But then I've just decided knowing things wont change anything and so anything they haven't told me, I don't know. 🤣

@SCG that was prob also me that referred to the dildo wand, though many of us have had the pleasure of being well acquainted with such an implement, we pass it around the group, have you?! 😋How long have you been TTC for? Keep going on the tests though you can have a day off during the high days, every other day is still good! Do you have an embarrassing story for us?

@Juno231 bugger no drinking at Xmas. To be fair in not sure we really stopped drinking. Having said that we don't drink much. Clearly I haven't on drugs but before that I had an odd one.

Dildo wand is hilarious 😂 I had 4 of them in a week last month. All carried out by a trainee nurse practitioner who was like something out of fucking Star Wars aggressively waving that thing around up there. Between the dildo and the sex schedule they have me on I've been really sore down there after the FW since I started on this letrozole/follicle tracking regime. Vagisil has saved my life! Pray for me that the follicles grow faster this month so I'll have fewer scans 😂 I'm so sick of it!

I totally stopped off for fries on my way home from my last embryo transfer! They both implanted if that’s any help? we just won’t mention what they did after that, maybe I should have had daily fries instead of aspirin
