@Aims1991 @CShandy01 @hoola23 @MrsRosaline @plantbasedlondoner @LittleDoveLove thought I'd best start a new thread before it stops letting us post given we're almost at 1k! 🥰 x

@hoola23 nah I'm not even 5 weeks chick. I'll be 5 weeks on either Sunday or Monday. So it's still super early. I'm wondering if it's too early do to a scan. I'm just concerned about the prospect of it being ectopic with the type of pain I've been having.

hoola23 · 05/11/2021 09:14

@CShandy01 oh! God time goes so slowly doesn't it! I was sure you were over 5 weeks!! Urgh that's so stressful if they can't scan you because then all you can do is wait, it's so horrible! Please just rest and try not to worry too much hun. I know it's hard though. Sending you a massive hug xx

CShandy01 · 05/11/2021 09:17

@hoola23 wish I could tell DD that mummy needs to rest 😂😂 and DH is being bloody useless, as usual when it comes to things like this 😩 ah well. This is the longest wait for a phone call EVER!

Aims1991 · 05/11/2021 09:19

@hoola23 yeah Ano, life's so cruel at times. I'm gutted this morning

CShandy01 · 05/11/2021 09:40

Taken a test and it's 100% negative, so I've definitely lost it. Just now need to make sure it's not an ectopic pregnancy.

hoola23 · 05/11/2021 09:44

@CShandy01 oh so sorry lovely, that's so unfair! I hope you're being looked after and get loads of cuddles from DH and Dd. Please try and put your feet up, cry if you need to, rant if you need to or whatever makes you feel better! ❤️❤️

hoola23 · 05/11/2021 09:45

@Aims1991 I bet, try and look after yourself hun. We can look forward to next month and trying again. There has to be some positive vibes next month!!

Aims1991 · 05/11/2021 09:49

@hoola23 I called my doctor back. Because I was to call them if AF arrived so I'm being sent for bloods to get done to see why it's been a year 🥺

hoola23 · 05/11/2021 09:51

@Aims1991 that's good! At least they're taken you seriously! Mine literally doesn't care! It will be good to find out if there is anything you can do to to help or just get the reassurance that everything is fine and it's just the waiting game!!

Aims1991 · 05/11/2021 09:58

@hoola23 Ano I'm waiting a call back today. We have totally cut of caffeine and hardly drink, we both take vitamins and supplements. My periods are as regular as clockwork and I ovulate same time every month. So who knows what they'll do

CShandy01 · 05/11/2021 10:30

@Aims1991 I wonder if you could ask for a scan perhaps? You may have some cysts that could be blocking implantation? It's very common and can be an easy fix 🙂🙂 might be worth asking once they've checked bloods etc xx

hoola23 · 05/11/2021 11:45

@Aims1991 I agree with @CShandy01 a scan would also be really helpful but also sometimes some people just take longer for it to work. No reason either! Maybe start with bloods and then go from there x

CShandy01 · 05/11/2021 12:19

@Aims1991 deffo worthwhile asking for bloods and then maybe an internal scan. I've just literally had one (TMI) and I am relieved to find out there are no abnormalities or things that could get in the way. Ovaries and tubes look fine. So now I know that literally this little nugget didn't stick because something clearly was wrong with how it was made. Oddly enough, that makes it easier to deal with 🙂🙂 I know I've deffo lost it because my pad is now soaked.

hoola23 · 05/11/2021 12:34

@CShandy01 did they give you a scan today?

Aims1991 · 05/11/2021 13:06

@hoola23 @CShandy01 Thank you, I will defo be asking. Just feel so gutted today. Struggling with work and everything

CShandy01 · 05/11/2021 13:18

@hoola23 yes had a scan, internal and external. Plus another internal and external examination. No sign of ectopic. No sign of pregnancy either, but it's so early and I'm totally bleeding so understandable. Just waiting on blood work tests now xx

hoola23 · 05/11/2021 13:23

@CShandy01 oh babe, I'm so so sorry. It's shocking how common this is though, I really had no idea this was another massive hurdle to get through for us all! I'm sending you lots of love, have some wine, chocolate whatever you want and watch some nice things on tv and try and rest. Hope DH is there to support you. Like you said, there are still positives, your body is working perfectly and doing exactly as it should be so it will happen but I know how heartbreaking it is. We will ALL get there! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

hoola23 · 05/11/2021 13:24

@Aims1991 were all going through it today! I know how you feel, esp when you put so much effort in right! So unfair!!!! You're doing all you can though and getting your bloods done will also add some reassurance I'm sure x

plantbasedlondoner · 05/11/2021 13:46

@CShandy01 I'm so sorry hun, I know it was early but it is still so tough... we are all thinking of you and I hope you are doing something nice for yourself this weekend... as @hoola23 says, please rest up and pamper yourself a bit if possible. Glad they did a scan too. Thank you so much for sharing. Just being on this group has made me realise how common it is to experience losses and I am really grateful that I will be more aware and also more sensitive to those around me.

@Aims1991 sorry about your period hun, it honestly is so unfair that we have to find out we aren't pregnant that way - with pain and cramps :( double whammy. I wish it were different.

@hoola23 your GP sounds very insensitive, sadly that's not uncommon :( it's true there has been a vials shortage but definitely push for a scan and bloods if you feel up to it... my best friend was trying for a year and found out after a scan it was an issue with her tubes and it was such a relief. I am going to ask for a scan and bloods in Feb if it hasn't happened for me by then. My sister is a gynae doctor which helps a lot as it is hard to get GPs to listen in the 10 minute slots.

Sarainwonderland · 05/11/2021 13:48

Hello!
I'm new to this forum, can I join?

I am ttcing for bubba no. 3 and still bfeeding my DD who is now 14 months. Af is supposed to be arriving on Monday but tested yday and got a bfn. I checked my cervix position earlier and it is high and soft..but one thing I don't get is how high is high iykwim....any advice? Baby dust to you all xx

Aims1991 · 05/11/2021 14:46

@CShandy01 aw I'm so sorry. Life is so unfair at times. X

CShandy01 · 05/11/2021 16:34

Had a from them hospital and my HCG levels have dropped to 2 so it's definitely a chemical pregnancy and nothing more sinister going on.

Had a quick chat with DH. He thinks that because I got my BFP with pregnacare I should keep taking it, but then part of me is wondering whether that may have been the issue. Did pregnacare maybe give my body something extra and actually it was going against nature? Does that make sense? What do you guys think? Xx

CShandy01 · 05/11/2021 16:34

That meant to say "had a CALL FROM THE" bloody hell I can't type 😂

plantbasedlondoner · 05/11/2021 17:28

@CShandy01 I think it's very unlikely to have had anything to do with the pregnacare and if anything, taking a good prenatal and ensuring you have the right amounts of folic acid and Vitamin D especially (as well as some of the other key nutrients) will only support your body. It's so awful hun but pregnancy is full of unknowns and all you can do is look after yourself and try and follow the main advice to eat a diet rich in fruit and veg, get rest etc etc. I see a supplement as a bit of an insurance policy providing everything else is in place (not that that guarantees anything of course) xxx

hoola23 · 05/11/2021 17:51

@CShandy01 I agree with @plantbasedlondoner I think vitamins are just a bonus and support baby development once conceived. Believe me working in social care the amount of pregnancies that happen when people have significant health and drug issues I can assure you that sadly they are not getting the vits they need!
