@Aims1991 @CShandy01 @hoola23 @MrsRosaline @plantbasedlondoner @LittleDoveLove thought I'd best start a new thread before it stops letting us post given we're almost at 1k! 🥰 x

Have I forgotten anyone!? X

Looking to next cycle now, do you think I could take pregnacare, EPO and folic acid together??

hoola23 · 05/11/2021 20:42

@Aims1991 I think the pregnacare has folic acid in it already?

MrsRosaline · 05/11/2021 20:49

Aw @CShandy01 gutted to read this. But you're not alone. @hoola23 and I have been there too. It sounds very similar to my experience. It's so tough but it gets easier. I also had thoughts about pregnacare, and I'm not sure I'll take it again. However I don't think there can be literally anything wrong with it or hundreds of women would be reporting problems and miscarriages!

@Aims1991 pregnacare already has folic acid in so no need to take an additional one!

I have had a really tough week. DD seems to be going through a phase of being super naughty, and just basically refusing to do anything she's told. It is so draining!!

CShandy01 · 05/11/2021 21:06

@MrsRosaline @hoola23 @plantbasedlondoner you're all absolutely right about the pregnacare - if there were any issues with it then millions of women would be in uproar! I was more thinking down the line that clearly it's done something positive this month, but like, was my body ready for it, if that makes sense? I'm like, do I do exactly what I did last month again? (Pregnacare and no tests). Or so I ditch the pregnacare and take up the OPK's again? 😩😩😩

MrsRosaline · 05/11/2021 21:14

@CShandy01

Haha, I have the same thoughts. I know exactly what you mean. I drank orange every day in august, and part of me wonders if maybe that was just enough to support conception, but not enough for a viable pregnancy. Like, it helped, but not enough. But you have to remember that these things are extremely unlikely to have anything to do with a miscarriage, as most miscarriages are due to genetic faults!

hoola23 · 05/11/2021 21:43

@CShandy01 I hope you're ok hun ❤️ we will ALL get there in the end I'm sure. Sadly I can't tell you when BUT our bodies are doing what they need to!

Personally I would use opk this month as ovulation can be totally off after a miscarriage but I also love an opk so I'm prob not the best person to ask🤣 esp after @MrsRosaline experience the other month! Kept us waiting that one!!

@MrsRosaline when is fertile week for you hun? Are you ready to try again? Xx

Aims1991 · 06/11/2021 07:08

Morning ladies, I had a good chat with my doctor yesterday. I've to get my bloods done from day 1-5 of AF disappearing. And to my surprise my OH called his GP to get the ball rolling on his side to which I was shocked about. Thought it would be a load of discussions about asking him to go.
@CShandy01 hope you ok x
@hoola23 how are you? Are you testing soon??

hoola23 · 06/11/2021 08:02

@Aims1991 that's so good!! You're completely on the right track! Hopefully this will give you either reassurance or the answers you need.
Oh I'm certainly not bothering to test! I know AF is about to arrive. Due tomo or Monday x

CShandy01 · 06/11/2021 12:45

Morning everyone! How are we all doing today? I got some of boots pregnacare today 🙂 decided to take it again as it clearly can't do any harm. So CD2 here. Apologies for TMI but I definitely passed whatever it was that was growing this morning, so that was a bit of a shock. Forget how amazing the human body is to grow something! Xx

Hann91 · 06/11/2021 13:41

Afternoon ladies, I’ve been following this thread and I’m hoping you have some words of wisdom or advice. After coming off the pill in May we have been ttc and using the clear blue ovulation tests since June. I have ovulated every month and my cycles are pretty regular… 30-34 day cycles and my luteal phase is 11-12 days. We haven’t conceived yet despite ovulating every month and doing the deed every 2-3 days during my fertile window. My worry is that this may be due to having short and light periods (tmi sorry). My period are 1 day with a light/medium flow and I spot the day before and for 2-3 days after. I’ve driven myself crazy googling but there isn’t much info. Does anyone else have short periods? Does anyone know if this could impact conception and if I should see my GP or am I thinking too much into it? Xx

FlyOnTheWall89 · 06/11/2021 14:03

Hi @Hann91 - I don’t have any words of wisdom but I am in a very similar position and have the same query.

I think your luteal phase is of a ‘normal’ length. I know that when it is too short, it can cause implantation problems. There are supplements you can take to lengthen if but do some Googling yourself on that as I am not an expert, it’s just come up when I’ve looked into it.

I too have very light periods. Never really much pain / cramping. I need to wear a cup on 1 day and then I can go without pretty much. They are never longer than 3 days and 2 of those days are very very light. I don’t wear anything at night.

I am 32, and this will be cycle 7 for us but I have only been tracking for 2 cycles - having said that, I have a very regular 30- 32 day cycle with ovulation around day 17 and we have sex every other day at least when I’m in that fertile window so we have covered that period of time every month and still no BFP. It is quite disconcerting as it just feels like it should have worked by now. Average length for conception is 8 months, but I’ve decided to get my bloods done and my partner is having his sperm tested so we can just be reassured that everything is okay.

CShandy01 · 06/11/2021 16:32

Hi @Hann91 and welcome! Have you had any blood tests just to take a quick look at hormone levels? Or just to see if there's anything underlying like an iron deficiency perhaps? My friend had this and she was suggested to take supplements as she was quite low on the iron front (also had to take some magnesium but that was because she found she was exhausted around her menstruation). That's the only thing I can think of chick 🙂🙂

Currently having possibly the worst period EVER. Feel like my front butt has been punched repeatedly 😩😩 may need to sit on an ice pack at this rate!!!

LittleDoveLove · 06/11/2021 19:02

@CShandy01 I am good thank you! Definitely have changes in my cycle since being vaccinated! How are you? X

newtolineofduty · 06/11/2021 20:53

Hey ladies, just catching up. @Aims1991 I'm so sorry to hear about AF but glad you and DH have been able to speak to the docs and come up with a plan.

@CShandy01 I'm SO sorry to read this hun. How are you feeling? The pregnacare don't do any harm at all it will only help, but I honestly don't think they'll have been the reason you conceived either. I think I've come to realise it's just a case of the right egg meeting the right sperm at the right time and obviously each month there's afew things that might not be 'right' in that combo, which is why it can take aggggges in perfectly fertile people. Your little bubba that didn't quite stick just wasn't quite right-either the sperm or egg had some faulty DNA or they didn't quite go together well enough-it doesn't mean there's anything 'wrong'. I hope that doesn't sound harsh-I'm hoping to be comforting as that's how I've wrapped my head around the potential of miscarriage whilst I've been bleeding etc. I know it doesn't make it any easier though hun. I'd stick with pregnacare and stay off OPKs as that helped you de-stress! How are you feeling today?

@MrsRosaline feel your pain with the naughty DD! Mine told me to go away at bedtime! Little diva! 😂 x

hoola23 · 06/11/2021 22:13

@CShandy01 hope your pain eases up soon hun. It's so horrible going through this, hope you're being taken care of and getting some rest. Do you think you'll wait or try again this cycle?

@Hann91 welcome! I wouldn't worry, as you get older, periods tend to get lighter and shorter but this is normal. I also have one day with a medium flow then 3 days of light bleeding/spotting where as in my teens and twenties it was like day 1 for 6 days! As you've only been trying since May, I think you're right on track. Can take healthy couples a year to fall pregnant! It's a massive waiting game I'm afraid but you're in good company here 😀

StillJustWaiting · 07/11/2021 08:47

I have had indent lines on FRER everyday since Wednesday... i got to be honest at first I thought it was very faint positives but now i realise they're indent lines as they have not progressed at all in 5 days!!
I'm CD39 now, this is my longest cycle yet 😵
Xxx

@Hann91 Welcome! your period includes the days of spotting too, so technically your period is 3-4 days long. A 2 day period is considered completely normal and it is good that they are light - it has no bearing on anything according to my OBGYN sister :) You are unlikely to have iron deficiency anaemia due to your periods UNLESS they are heavy and you pass clots etc or have a poor diet. I know this waiting game is so rubbish but there is a reason they say it can take a year so hang in there :) Hopefully the blood tests reassure you a bit too.

@Aims1991 that's great re your bloods, I'm going to wait until February before checking mine. I need to make an effort to DTD every few days as my periods are slightly irregular so can't be exactly certain when I am ovulating!

I definitely think I'm a couple of days away from AF, I have that moody feeling like I could explode at any moment!

Hann91 · 07/11/2021 13:22

@FlyOnTheWall89 @CShandy01 @plantbasedlondoner @hoola23 Thank you for the warm welcome, you're knowledge and advice is really helpful. I'll arrange to get my bloods done...I'll keep you all updated x

CShandy01 · 07/11/2021 14:22

Hi everyone! So the bleeding is definitely getting a lot less now thankfully and the pain isn't there anymore. So I feel back to square one 🙂🙂 first time in 3 weeks I haven't had any weird stabbing pain or shooting pain down my right hand side, so I definitely think something was up for sure. Hoping ovulation kicks in at its usual time (or as near to it as I can possibly get!) how are we all doing at the moment? When are people due AF or is anyone testing??? @newtolineofduty how are you chick?

@hoola23 we've basically just said we will carry in as usual and see what happens. I'm going to use an OPK this month along with tracking my CM again just in case my body takes a while to heal and I can see what I'm basically dealing with. Going to focus on me and get my fitness back up, those 5lbs I gained back off, and try to get my acne under control. If I manage to get pregnant in the meanwhile, huzzah!

plantbasedlondoner · 07/11/2021 17:27

@CShandy01 glad the bleeding is a bit better hun, hope you had a bit of a chance to rest this weekend although I can't imagine it is easy with a little one. Sounds like a good plan to use OPKs, I plan to do that with the next cycle too. I have no idea where I am in my cycle, I think I'm 3 days away from seeing AF but if no sign by the end of the week, I guess I will test. I have never tested before though so prefer to just wait it out and see, really didn't DTD enough this month but next cycle going to really try! I would love to have good news by Christmas but pinning hopes on set dates usually sets me up for disappointment I've found

Hope everyone else is doing ok xx

newtolineofduty · 07/11/2021 19:45

So glad to hear you're not in pain any more @CShandy01. How strange that it's been going on three weeks-no wonder you were worried about it being ectopic-thank goodness it wasn't hun xx

@CShandy01 glad you're feeling a bit better hun, we're synced up now as CD1 for me. AF roughly on time for me! Hope you're ovulation comes around at the right time this month

plantbasedlondoner · 08/11/2021 14:12

I think AF is starting for me tonight or tomorrow morning, feeling all crampy already!

Nice to be synced up with you both @hoola23 @CShandy01

How is everyone doing today?

hoola23 · 08/11/2021 17:20
