2WW anyone? Af due Friday

I am new to mums net. I am currently in my tww and losing hope again for this month. My af is due Friday the 24th. I have no symptoms really! Slight bruised feeling in sides of my boobs, and yesterday and sharp stabbing pains in my pelvic area. That's about it really. Just feel like af will show again and it's not happened again. Omg @rita83 you were so sure it wasn’t your month! Thrilled for you! That is a really strong line and to get a 2-3 on a digital! Wow wow wow! You have a regular cycle no so you roughly know when you must have ovulated! Ekkk so exciting xx

Thank you ladies for your kind words means sooo much!!! Obviously I am worried cos of previous times that I have been through but I never got to 2-3 weeks last two times when I had conceived. By this I am not sure if I was actually already pregnant and never conceived on my last ovulation as I would be nearly 6 weeks because you normally double a clear blue. I know with my girls I had a period and tested a week later and was pregnant so not sure if the same has happened and I haven't realised xx

It does seem very early for you to get 2-3 @rita83! Maybe you conceived around the time your period ended after your chemical? It'll be interesting to see how they date you when you go for a scan!! How are you feeling? Xx

Hello @cruz yes this is very odd as I had a bleed last cycle and was a very long bleed as well. Maybe I ovulated straight away after this. I am feeling ok don't even feel pregnant at all. Nipples keep itching on and off but apart from that I am ok. How are you xx

I tested and got a BFN - I think I’m about 12DPO. I needed to manage expectations so I’m not so witchy when AF does arrive and my partner is away most of the week on business. I’m so sad guys. I feel like it’s just not going to happen for us. I can’t see through this fog of constant disappointment - it is relentless. On to cycle number 8.

Hello @FlyOnTheWall89 please don't feel disheartened I know it's easy to say this and I have been through heartache with this whole thing as well. It will happen for you, just needs everything to be right. With me i actually thought I af was coming and for my test to say what it did I don't think I actually conceived when I thought I did. I have been pregnant for 3 weeks I think and didn't even know. I want to book an early scan if I can but won't do this til I have had my first midwife appointment. I am still so scared as well cos of what's happened previous xx

I don't think it'll be long before you have your midwife appointment @rita83 because it's normally around 8 weeks!

Oh I'm sorry @FlyOnTheWall89 😞 You do still have time though! A lot of people have negatives at 12/13dpo and then go on to get a positive. Are you planning to visit your gp? I can imagine how disheartening it must be ❤️

@FlyOnTheWall89 I’m so sorry for your BFN I feel the same I’m so down when AF arrives I feel like ttc is taking over my life!

Hello @Mama500 I am really not sure as my last bleed was the 22nd of October and lasted around 9 days. This would make me 4 weeks and I tested yesterday as this would have been one day late for af but my line was so dark and the clear blue was saying 2-3 and before when I tested near my expected af it always said 1-2 weeks and line wasn't as dark as this either. I am really baffled with this x

Thanks guys. Yes it is all consuming for sure. We just don’t get it. The doc will run a general blood test but I may pay for a fertility MOT at this point. Now I’m Covid free I’ll try to book something this week. I’m pretty sure I would have a squinter if I was not out. I may not have ovulated because I was ill. I got EWCM, but didn’t feel any ovulation pain this month. Keep me up to date guys - have a good week xxx

I don’t really get much EWCM so I think that’s part of the reason I struggle

My new approach is, no more OPK, wine, coffee and DTD when I fancy and vitamins when I remember.

Can’t let this take over my life anymore just have to hope it happens when the time is right

What have you been doing to track ovulation @FlyOnTheWall89? I know that seems like a silly question but have you done any temping or anything like that to confirm that ovulation is happening? My ewcm was always all over the place and never a great indication for me that ovulation was happening or about to happen! There are places online where you can pay for blood tests etc like medichecks. Maybe that's a place to start if you're just feeling low every month with negatives? How are you doing today? X

I bet you'll fall as soon as you start to relax @Mama500! Have you tried something like conceive plus or preseed if you don't get much ewcm? Hope you're okay too x

@Cruz86 yeah I have and I used it with my ds too. I think I’m going to give it all a break and just relax and enjoy my son!

How are you feeling about your scan x

@Mama500 EPO really helped my EWCM last month. Would recommend. I took 500mg in the morning and then the same in the evening in the build up to ovulation.

@Cruz86 I use the clear blue 2 hormone tester thing with the faces. I usually get a quite predictable CD17 static. I didn't do it this month as its so consistent, it felt like a waste of money tbh. Plus I though the old 'lets not try as hard and just have fun sex' might work. I use natural cycles and have done temping for prevention and used to get the temp rises and dips but I haven't done it whilst trying to conceive. It is a good idea... I will start doing it this cycle. CD 30 and no AF but last two cycles it has been on CD32 so I think that will be that. So many people get a faint line on day 9/10... with no symptoms and a negative on day 12, I believe I am out. I have contacted CRGH today and this was what their package consists of....

The Female Fertility Assessment is £350.00 and includes;
Lifestyle questionnaire to assess factors that may impact your fertility
AMH blood test
Ultrasound scan (antra-follicle count, endometrial assessment)
Follow up consultation with Doctor via video to discuss results

It is best done between CD1 and 4 so I think I will book that.

Have you tried your GP. They should send you for bloods

@Mama500 Evening primrose oil. It works for sure and could help protect and move the sperm in the right direction. I think my idea was try to increase my own EWCM rather than mimic it with preseed etc.

My GP said they will run general blood work which I presume will not be specific at all to fertility. she said it is a tick in the box and has to be done that way. They didn't say it had to be done on a specific day or anything like that, so they clearly cant be testing for the things which I know you need bloods for on CD 1-4.

I think if you want to have tests done quicker, going private is definitely your best bet @FlyOnTheWall89. I didn't think the NHS do any fertility tests until you've been trying for around 12 months? How are you doing today? Still hoping you have a positive month xx

I'm petrified for Thursday @Mama500! Nothing has happened naturally so I'm taking that as a hopeful sign. If baby stopped growing at around the 5 week mark, I'd be nearly 9 weeks (according to my dates) now and I'd like to think something would've happened if it was going to. Just really hoping and praying it's all okay xx

Hi @Cruz86 I am having a fertility screening set of bloods done tomorrow. Then I think we will go from there. Please let us know how you get on tomorrow. AF came today so it is indeed onto cycle 8 for me sadly. xx
