It’s been thirteen million years & Minster & the good time crew are still here…its September, autumn in full swing and we haven’t done too bad so far this month compared to previous months but I still think we are owed ladies.

Oh and we don’t just talk TTC, we’ll chat about anything. In fact that’s positively encouraged cos TTC can be bloody boring sometimes!

It costs an embarrassing life (or TTC) story for your ticket please then you can hop on board

Agency bus driver at the wheel.…

All aboard bus number 48

Plugging @minster2012 blog \\\___, we’ve had cancer, travels & ivf so need to get to the fun stuff, more ivf, surrogacy and more! #shamelessplug
minstermusings.co.uk for the blog that’s where the full stuff happens
& minstermusings on insta - some of our ladies have made special anonymous accounts so we can link up via me 🥰 so if Insta gets mentioned it’s there

If you want to sign up & get updates please do, please note your username if you comment shows up to others so maybe make it anonymous I won’t be offended 😂🤣(unless you are mean)

@bez91 thinking of you. Good luck with the appt today 🤍

@Minster2012 hope the physio helps! Do you have daily exercises you need to do? And 🙌🏼 To the big boobs 🔥 you still feeling the ligament pains?

@larrythelizard cor 21:30 start 🥵 what time did you get home?! Sleepy just thinking about it!

@Vil10 5:45 gym sesh is a good effort, especially now when it’s so dark out in the morning! Have you got your progesterone levels back? Don’t think I’ll get mine until next week.

@Franklydear feel like I’ve missed something- when did you start taking progesterone?

@gcat16 I got my progesterone levels checked as part of other fertility/hormone check up - I have a family history of very early menopause (mum started the menopause at 34 and I am 32) so wanted to see where I’m at with everything. I got my AMH/FSH/LH levels back last week, they’re all fairly normal so that’s a good sign I think!

I’m also 7/8DPO today trying to not become a symptom spotting monster (can’t say I’m doing well). I’m meant to go to a birthday party on Saturday (I’ll be 11/12dpo) and it’s gonna be a booooozy night. Trying to decide if I should take a test Saturday morning (af not due until Tuesday next week). Thoughts??

@whatwonder I try but I've been so lazy this last week!! Just got them back literally this minute, 46.2, which I'm really happy with, so they said they don't need to redo my bloods, so it's just waiting for OH to have his rescheduled SA now!
Fingers crossed yours are all okay🤞🏼 also about the boozy night and testing, I'm also out Saturday drinking and af is due around Monday, so I'll still be drinking on Saturday and might test Sunday depending on how I'm feeling!

@Juno231 I find it all so interesting!! I know quite a few ivf babies, I think it's a lovely story to tell

Juno231 · 22/09/2021 11:40

@vil10 that's really good! Just the SA left now!

@whatwonder I'm glad your tests came back alright! I was so relieved to have a (borderline) normal AMH after fearing I'd go into early menopause. As for testing - if you're pregnant you'd should def see a line on Sat at 11/12dpo!

larrythelizard · 22/09/2021 11:43

It really is incredible @Juno231. I found out recently that my friend's eldest is IVF - third round - which she went through amongst a load of other trauma so shows that it's not all in our control and that you can have a successful pregnancy when stuff is stacked against you.

That's good levels are 'normal' @whatwonder. Maybe test Saturday morning? Might be too early but I'm always in to pissing on something. Thankfully wasn't playing too far away but was 22.40 before I was in bed.

Good progesterone score @Vil10. Good to have another thing ticked off as being OK. What did the Dr prescribe for your shacket addiction?!

@Juno231 it's great to hear some success stories! Especially when you're in the waiting/planning phase.

I'm 12dpo and starting to wobble. No symptoms and I don't want to test in case I get a false positive. Also don't want to test in case it's a negative. After the letrozole and trigger shot this month I'll be extra sad if it didn't work out. And my best friend is due her "we only tried once lol" baby in 2 weeks so I feel like it'll hit me harder than usual this time.

I think the toughest thing about TTC is the emotional rollercoaster @Somatronic. Sending you love. Didn't they tell you not to test until 16 DPO? I've had crazy symptoms and not been pregnant so symptoms aren't everything 💕

Thanks @larrythelizard yes they said to wait til Sunday but that seems very far away and I have no patience. This feels like the longest month ever!

If thrush is a symptom I still have that. Yesterday a tube of canesten fell out of my bag in a colleague's office. I think I got away with it but I was still mortified 😅 And am also so sick of the thrush. 😒

@Juno231 it's crazy isn't it!! I said that when we were using the other embryo frozen at the time of making X, when we went to put it back I said to DH "well this one has surely got a better chance as the egg was 2 years younger & it's "twin" made DS!" But not to be. And i always actually enjoy talking to ppl IRL about it

Ooooo @whatwonder I was thinking the other day it's a couple of ppl coming "to the pointy end of TWW" and I think you said it, you and @Somatronic. My approach to testing the other week was not to test until after drinking, but to use the "what if" in my head to make sure I didn't drink too much IYSWIM? Yay way I didn't really feel guilty either way. I don't have many exercises yet, I need to get referred to a physio so another appointment but yes still getting tummy pains 😬

Oooo @Vil10 around then too and OMG over 46!! Bloody hell when I got my other BFP in April my progesterone was 35!

@Somatronic ha ha the canesten would be me I'm sure I'd do similar 🤣

So ladies I've got shit loads of ironing to do & ive set up a room with a view. Outside, and silent witness to watch (and bake off) with a HR call in between. The dogs think it's hard work too 🤣

@bez91 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻❤️

Thanks ladies, they're running late again 🤦🏼‍♀️ bladder fit to burst. Couple of other ladies in EPU waiting room having a laugh with each other - obviously not regulars 🙄

How is the job going @larrythelizard

That's amazing @Juno231 never thought of that about the eggs being the same age 🤯

Oooh good levels @Vil10 hope you're not waiting too long for the SA 🤞🏼

Looks productive @Minster2012 but are you really ironing sitting down?

Ironing sitting down, only way! Why stand up when you don't have to I've never understood that! Always ironed sat down watching tv 🤣

Job is OK @bez91, slowly meeting more people but pretty quiet still, and still haven't been allowed out to head office in London!
What a weird place to be having a laugh and a joke!

Sounds a pretty good day there @Minster2012!

My desk 2022 calendar just arrived, trying to book stuff in so I can get to TTCing again ASAP. Deffo wishing my life away a bit, may need to consider when we're getting back to it!

Have you considered a probiotic or something @Somatronic?

Why iron if you don't have to is my motto btw @Minster2012, standing up or standing down!

Minster2012 · 22/09/2021 15:05

@larrythelizard don't get me wrong I only iron what's necessary, but I've not done it for weeks 🤣

@larrythelizard yeah I might try something like that. Or maybe I'll get a tablet from the doctor once AF arrives.

Went the the loo and there was blood. Spotting I suppose. This would mean a 25 day cycle which would be short for me. They're usually between 28 and 30 days but have been as short as 27 days and up to 35 days in the past.

At least I wasn't hopeful all week I guess Sad

@whatwonder I never have, it's my pseudo scientific explanation to being sick every cycle

@larrythelizard no it seems full blown now. I'm definitely out.

I left work at 5 because I was upset (and because my work was done, I'm allowed leave at 5 if I want to, and I often work until 7 or later) and a new person commented about that, basically saying I was leaving early. She's lucky I didn't slap her.

Report
larrythelizard · 22/09/2021 17:57

Oh @Somatronic I'm sorry. And yes slapping that woman seems entirely reasonable.

@Franklydear ☹️☹️☹️ for you too

bez91 · 22/09/2021 18:02

@Minster2012 how do you iron sitting down without getting a bad back though?

@Somatronic definitely deserved a slap. You put in the hours and people just expect, hence noticing leaving at a reasonable time!

Posted too soon... Sorry for anyone this is really shitty for today 💕

Scan done. She poked about for a long time, looked at us concerned and said she couldn’t see “anything at all” so would need to do an internal one. Then just before she did she found a heartbeat and we both burst into tears 😭 measuring exactly 6 weeks as expected to be. We’ve got to this stage before and nope, but trying to be cautiously optimistic.
