Overthinking today is end of cycle, pms, and possibilities, also dispair as I know I am kidding myself and it's nearly two years ttcing, also thinking is it for the best, as I am 44 already

@bez91 it was so good, I think it was so upsetting because everything she was describing was how I felt and it made you realise that you’re not alone (of course I already knew that because of the support from you lovely ladies), but also it did bring it all back even though I’m generally ok now apart from the constant worry over this pregnancy and the odd melancholy thought.

Highly recommend just make sure you have plenty of tissues! And maybe a tub of ice cream for afterwards as it is an emotional rollercoaster!

@Haiyaa I've just watched it. On my own. I found it upsetting and it's not even happened to me. I think it's a good thing to address though, and really it should be on a main TV channel?
Its funny because all this ivf business is bad enough in its own right. With only a 1 in 4 chance of it working. Which seems bloody slim. But then you add in there's a 1 in 4 chance of a miscarriage if you get pregnant then 1 in 4 suddenly sounds too high! Not to mention realising that you are extremely likely to be setting yourself up for heartache. I don't think I could do it 4 times like she did either, even if I could get pregnant myself. You can see she's no way over it at all.
@Somatronic God I hate people like that. I have friends that do it. Why do you want to plaster your life over fb? Just tell each other. 🤮

@larrythelizard afraid not been out for work visits now sat waiting for IT to reconnect me after the 4 day outage. To add insult to injury on the organisation being hacked they may also have stolen employees and customers bank details 😭 ffs seriously!

@Franklydear and so you should be! We're having a pretty rough time with DS in school at the moment, his behaviour is all over the place and I'm unsure if he possibly has ADHD which I need to look into. The school are focusing on all the bad things he does and he even has a book ( no one else does) thag they write all of the bad things in that he does. It seems that it causes a domino effect also as once he's been naughty or even thinks he has he will continue to be naughty no matter what is said or done 😰

@lucyrp don’t tolerate that, good question to ask the teachers is what is the cause of the behaviour? they can’t say the kid is evil, so anxiety, insecurity, boredom, unhappiness? and how they are going to address it?, I know sometimes you just want to gauge the bloody teachers eyes out, but trust me this is more effective, I’ve been in that rodeo, I can draw you a map

@Franklydear this bloody book is bright yellow and A4 size ... couldn't theh have picked a smaller book and less obvious colour! Poor boy hides it in his bag but all the children know he has it now. It's so frustrating. I've had 2 meetings with them so far to no avail. I've requested the book is stopped but they've insisted it's continued but I don't think it can be. Its a small school with 2 fresh out of university teachers with no permanent head teacher based on sight so I think a lot of stuff is over looked due to inexperience. Sad really as its a lovely school which is fighting a closure notice at the moment and I'm actually not that upset by it as I feel he may be better suited to a different school now even without his friends

@lucyrp does he have an educational plan? What is the purpose of the book? If only parent teacher communication, insist it is changed to emails, and for the love of god, next time it comes home, lose the book, no idea where it went, cat must eaten it, put it through the washing machine, every single fucking time!

@Franklydear you should see the kind of things they write in there. Sometimes I do wonder. I've wanted to throw it out of the car window on the way home many times😂 "... was fussy at dinner time today" fussy ? What does fussy mean? How ? With what? Nothing has any context 🙄 emails are a very good idea I will suggest that! X

@lucyrp make it happen, and challenge every comment that doesn't make sense, also don't be afraid to call them bullies to their faces, and insist they use appropriate language, he is not a baby to be fuzzy, and they are educated teachers, surely they can express themselves more concisely, and call Ofsted, find a neurodiverse association to support you too, this battles are bloody hard to be doing it alone, in any case you have me

@Franklydear it's annoying because I'm not entirely sure there is anything "wrong" as such but that's what it seems like they're trying to get at but they won't actually say that of course. Seems like they're trying to gather "evidence" for something. They tried to get me to let him go to play therapy but wouldn't give me a reason why they wanted him to go and I didn't see any reason for it but since then his behaviour has gotten worse which I think has been because of them...🤷🏼‍♀️

Whether there is a condition or not, is irrelevant really, the only reason they would need to build evidence is for an exclusion, anything else does not need documenting, have they called the educational psychologist? Ds had never gone to any kind of groups without me knowing exactly what for, and they were never called therapy, they are not doctors. If you think we could have ADHD, find an assessment unit near you, there is a lot of help, and he can thrive if it is provided

@lucyrp as a teacher, I agree with @Franklydear never heard of a book being kept like that against parental disapproval, or at all really! Unless they're going through investigations, but that should have been agreed with you first. Sounds dodgy to me...
