Scaryhairy EPO stands for Evening Primrose Oil - sorry, meant to answer earlier but forgot!

Bucky - as you say, it kinda helps to remain positive I guess! My cycle is ridiculously irregular - has been anything from 22 to 56 days since my mc in Jan (always was irregular before that anyway!) so I guess I could still be in with a chance - usually get sore (.)(.) after ov and that hasn't happened yet so maybe this cycle is gonna be a loooong one!

Abby just pleased you're ok!

MTW it will be a very early test at 9dpo but have my fingers firmly crossed for monday for you. Hope the Secret Santa Party goes well tomorrow!

Off to seduce dh now - might as well make the most of this possible long cycle!

Hiya, just being nosy. Has anyone tried Vitex Agnus Castus supplements to help regulate hormones? I took it when I was waiting for my periods to come back after finishing contraceptive injections. You mustn't get pg while on it though so could be worth a try if anyone is ready for a break. Have a Google, HTH.

Just popping in.

Really sorry to hear about your doctors appointment GG, did you say it was a man?. Could just be my opinion but maybe they lack a bit of sensitivity, I really think when a woman wants to be PG it is a NEED and not just a WANT, it comes from a lot deeper IYSWIM, something I feel that is not experienced by all men. Of course if your doc was a lady completely ignore me, either way I think a bit of stroppiness and crying is in order to at least get some tests done and get the ball rolling.

Hope everybody else is feeling better, everybody seems to be a bit down lately. Hopefully with the season of goodwill upon us you will all be too busy planning christmas to worry about TTC and we all know what can happen when we're not thinking so much, those BFP's may creep out of santas stockings

Good luck with the testing tomorrow morning MTW What one of your collection of tests are you gonna use ?

Sorry for monster post, had an afternoon snooze and think my brain may still be there

BuckytheRedNosedReindeer · 09/12/2007 18:08

I have cramps today. Have had them since last night. They are as bad as when I have AF but AF is not here . So not in a good mood. How is everyone doing today. Hi CBCB sorry to hear about your client. I hope things look up, there seems to be quite a bit of financial panic at the moment. Not sure where it came from but it is definitely tricking down.

The meet up was great. Always nice to catch up face to face. Hope more of you can join us next time.

*CBCB8 I'm CD21. 6-7dpo...I still have them but AF is not due till at least CD27 so not sure what is going on . I have never had cramps mid cycle before, so I guess it is possible. I don't want to get my hopes up though. I was only saying yesterday that I never think from one month to the next that it will happen anymore and here I am clinging on to a shred of hope!

BuckytheRedNosedReindeer · 09/12/2007 19:59

I just re-read my post and it makes no sense what I meant to say was....

I have never had cramps mid cycle before, so I guess it is possible that it could be pg cramps if the timing is right (not sure). I don't want to get my hopes up though. BuckytheRedNosedReindeer · 09/12/2007 20:01

DG my mood is ok, but it's quite uncomfortable. If it's for a good cause it would be fine though .

coolkat · 09/12/2007 20:09

Just droping by ladies, sorry to see you have all been down. Bucky jealous at your beautiful dress, I never have the confidence to wear them, I bought a nice one from next the other week and it still hangs in the wardrobe!

All is ok here, bleeding stopped and although they say let your body have a period before you start trying it is DH's birthday tomorrow so may surprise him Surely it can't be a bad thing? Don't have any contraception anyway!!

Will try and catch up with all your news, its always so busy on here, I lose track so fast.

X

Evening all

CBCB I'm exhausted but the secret santa party for the little ones (and adults!) was a great success. DH dressed up as Santa and handed out the presents and only one child cried at him!
I'm so sorry about the uncertainty of your client lets home it sorts itself out or a new bigger better client come along.

Shazza I think I will use one of the First Response tests, I've picked it out ready . It is ridiculously early and I wouldn't even bother if it wasn't for this hospital appointment tomorrow but if I get even the faintest of lines I will have some clue as what to tell the doctors. I don't feel at all PG so I'm hoping not to be too fed up if I get the dreaded BFN.

cbcb Your no knowing may work for you, you never know

I did do a test and no surprises it was a BFN but then I'm only 9 dpo and a week til AF due. So I will just tell the hospital this afternoon that I could be PG but too early to tell. I'm not disappointed but I will be if I get a AF/BFN next week.

GryffinGirl · 10/12/2007 13:38

hello everyone,

back on line again . The meet up with bucky and DG was great once we found somewhere instead of the wine bar I suggested (which was shut ).

Bucky - v promising symptoms. I have my fingers crossed. No symptoms for me as I am only CD6 today, but already plotting this month's seduction techniques to be implimented on DH

Thanks to everyone for the kind words and good advice about my disasterous doctor's appointment. I have decided to go back and say that I haven't been taken seriously and I want to take things forward. Trouble is, I have missed this month's window of testing, so it's all quite academic now anyway what with my cycle, Christmas and going on holiday . I have mused about it quite a lot and I think that the doctor thinks that i am playing the system - that I'm just impatient and "over-educated" about TTC and that I haven't really been trying for 12 months (which I have) and that I only said I'd be trying 12 months to get to the top of the queue because that is the usual NHS rule of thumb.

I have seen on other threads how people have said they were trying for 12 months when they hadn't been. If you do this, perhaps give a thought to how you may prejudice someone else further up the queue.

GryffinGirl · 10/12/2007 13:41

p.s. by that last comment, I meant people like me, who have nothing obviously at fault with their cycle but nothing is happening for. Sorry for sounding preachy

santasmissus · 10/12/2007 14:10

afternoon all!
hope everyone is well and everyone who is blue is better than they were last week i am a bit happier, everything in general a little less stressful so hormones life easier to deal with. on a very sad note, but sad for itself and not just being miserable, iyswim, fil passed away this morning. it was sudden but he has been ill with one thing and another for a long time, so he's in a better place now and not suffering anymore. i am going to be offline for a few days, while we go down to mil's, but no bumpin me of any lists

Excitable · 10/12/2007 14:10

Looks like you might have to have tests a little later GryffinGirl. I really hope all of this is academic and you get a bfp before then - that would be so cool!

I have very little patience with the NHS and their silly rules. I'm convinced that if you cry at the right people, you can probably get moved up the list anyway.

I was out at a friends house last night and they're really keen for us to start ttc. DH really doesn't want to tell anyone so I wasn't able to answer her questions honestly as I'd like to, as he was there with me. She's so excited by the idea, that she doesn't want to leave it alone. I just want to tell everyone, but DH is so embarrassed. He says it's like announcing that we have sex to all our friends. I say that they knew this already, but he is adamant he doesn't want them to know, so I have to keep my mouth shut. I find this really, REALLY hard.

Does anyone else disagree with their partner when it comes to telling other people about ttc?

Excitable · 10/12/2007 14:12

PS Don't have any symptoms but I'm convinced I'm pregnant, and have been convinced since day 12. Don't know why. Must stop being so silly.

digitalgirl · 10/12/2007 14:19

gg I'm sure a fantastic trip away where you're distracted with the wonders of other cities will do the trick, and when you get back you can start the 'test' ball rolling (if you're not pg that is)

Well, I forgot to phone the nurse today to find out why my blood test is wrong. So still have no idea what my progesterone results were, even though I know they'll be low. No AF at CD44...it's all too familiar. Temps are all over the place. I have given up wondering if I'm pg, just wondering if I'll ever ovulate.
