Hi everyone, it’s my first post on mumsnet, I spent a LOT of time reading through these threads when ttc my son and they helped so much.

Now I’m back ttc my second and it is only our second cycle and I am already much more desperate for it to happen than I was the first time around with my son 3 years a go.

I think it’s because it took us 10 cycles to conceive my son and I’m already heartbroken over it potentially taking that long (or longer) this time around.

Anybody else out there ttc their second baby and feeling the same anxiety? I swear I drove myself mad last cycle, it’s no wonder it happened really, I was borderline insane with googling, symptom spotting and even poas as early as 4dpo

Thank you @L0ts. Not sure what’s going on as feel back to normal but no af which was due this weekend. Preferring tea as plop posed to regular coffees. Hope you get over your cold soon and good luck this month too

Yes @has30 hope it was implantation rather than a small af last Tuesday fingers crossed 🤞🏻

@Borolass84 Fingers crossed for you still! Maybe still use OPKS in case it was a small AF and that way you won’t miss ovulation if you’re in a new cycle? I think that would be my plan 😊

Yes @L0ts that’s the plan! In the meantime trying to lose more weight; have lost a stone and a half so far so another stone to go

I’m 14DPO and feeling sick.
Natural cycles says I’m due on on Friday but it also thought I’d ovulate 4-5 days after my clearblue sticks detected LH surge.

Do I test or wait.
I wanna know. But also I don’t want the bfn.

Why is the mental rollercoaster so crazy!!

I tested.
It’s positive.

I’m in complete shock. I’d managed my expectations so hard I convinced myself it was AF.

I’m so happy but so scared too.

Congratulations @WingingIt101 if you don’t mind me asking, how many days is it til your af due or how many days after did you test. Only asking as I had what I thought was implantation last Tuesday but finished Wednesday evening and had nothing since (AF was due last Saturday). So please to see someone have some success:)

@Borolass84 I started doing ovulation tests on day 11, detected the surge on day 17 although my natural cycles app was suggesting I’d ovulate around day 21 so way out!

Today is 14DPO and I tested positive. My app said period was due Friday so I’m a few days early for that.

I figured 14 dpi was going to be close enough if it was positive and I’ve been feeling sick all day with a metal taste in my mouth

I’m so pleased for you. How long have you been ttc? I’m currently using the OVIA app to calculate my ovulation dates. The apps now saying 2 days til fertile window. That’s the thing with these apps; I jotted down on it that I thought I had implantation bleeding but doesn’t seem to have recorded it as that.

@WingingIt101 is this your first time using ovulation sticks? Did you DTD on your surge day? It will be my first month this month using them and I'll be so interested to see how different it is to the apps!

I used natural cycles to conceive my daughter but with disrupted sleep I think it becomes less accurate, combined with my cycles being longer since having her I was never sure it was accurate.

This was my first month using ovulation testing and I used clearblue digital.
We dtd on the Wednesday with negative LH test that morning, then tested Thursday morning and got a static smiley face to indicate it was my Lh surge so did it again that night, then negative Lh test on the Friday.

Apparently you usually get a flashing smiley face first to indicate the hormones are rising but I missed that so can only assume it started at some point in the day after I tested!

How's everyone getting on? Anyone close to testing? I'm a few days off my fertile window excited to start another month off after what feels like forever since AF started!

TTC for 14 months with a MC in between. I'm so fed up, I'm due today, i was hoping it was a no show but I've just wiped and their was slightly brown and stingy discharge so i guess I'm out now. Sending luck to everyone else xx

@has30 looks like we have a similar cycle 😀 I'm about 4 days off fertile window started opk testing with clearblue this time and normal ones . This time feel like it's going so slow

@whymewhyme so sorry to hear about the MC. And fingers crossed that it isn't AF. This stuff is hard isn't it? I'm on month 8 now (well cycle 8, month 9) and feel like just giving up but can't. I feel so conscious of the ever growing age gap between my daughter and a potential sibling.

@has30 I'm approaching fertile window too, although after a crazy long cycle last month I've no idea what to expect, really hope it's not another super long one. I'm using pre-seed this cycle so we'll see if that makes any difference. Fingers crossed! I'm 35 in two weeks and GOD I would do anything for a BFP birthday present!

@Kiaa and @kmbegs let's hope this is our month!! I'm holding off my clearblue sticks for the moment as I'm pretty sure I ovulate quite late in the cycle (considering dates for my first) so will start them on Monday! Ive heard a lot of good things about pre seed. Will be interesting to see how your month goes! Good luck both!!
