Hi everyone, it’s my first post on mumsnet, I spent a LOT of time reading through these threads when ttc my son and they helped so much.

Now I’m back ttc my second and it is only our second cycle and I am already much more desperate for it to happen than I was the first time around with my son 3 years a go.

I think it’s because it took us 10 cycles to conceive my son and I’m already heartbroken over it potentially taking that long (or longer) this time around.

Anybody else out there ttc their second baby and feeling the same anxiety? I swear I drove myself mad last cycle, it’s no wonder it happened really, I was borderline insane with googling, symptom spotting and even poas as early as 4dpo

Ergh I’m about 8dpo and I feel so not pregnant it’s unreal. I’ve had sore nipples since this morning which usually happens about 4/5 days before AF starts so I’m feeling incredibly out this month 😩

Ahh @L0ts you aren’t out til you’re out. Remember that the symptoms of af and implantation can be so similar x

Excited today is our O day, really impressed with easy @ home tests this month, they’ve been so good to track with.
Trying smep this month, so hopefully we can dtd tonight, tomorrow and Wednesday to cover our bases!

Good evening all. After some confusion at the surgery (it’s always eventful lol) had bloods taken today (next lot are 21 day bloods). I take multivitamins daily anyway but have reminded OH to take them daily too (he’s hit/miss as he forgets). Purchased pre seed and awaiting delivery of COq10 for myself and OH to take. Contemplating acupuncture despite not being a fan of needles. Hope everyone’s ok :)

Thanks @Kiaa - doing ok here. Very tired and experiencing a lot of anxiety which I didn’t get with my first. By my maths my dating scan should be around 20th December which feels ages away!

@Borolass84 How long have you been ttc for now? Is this your first or baby number two you’re trying for? Hope the pre seed helps. I’ve been tempted to give it a try tbh because I know so many swear by it! It’s just the price that puts me off 😂

I’m now anywhere between 8-10dpo. AF is due tomorrow or Thursday but I really think it’ll be pushed back due to late ovulation again like last month. If I go by my temp spike I’m only 8dpo but if I go by my positive OPKs (which I had for two days) I’d say I’m about 10/11dpo, so god knows 😂

I feel a little achy and a little nauseous at times but not too sure if it’s all in my head? I said I had sensitive nipples the other day but they disappear afterwards which is unusual. The tww literally drives me insane!!! 😂😅

Hi all! Not been active on MN since I conceived my first but she's now 2 and we've been trying for a year now to conceive with no success. I just seem to have early pregnancy symptoms followed by a really heavy period every other months.

I've been nauseous, sore gums, fatigued - the whole caboodle this month but 6 days away from my next period so - fingers crossed!

@L0ts first baby and ttc for 8 months. Yeah allot of the things are pricey which is off putting. Hope you’re well.

Yes the symptom are the worst hard to tell them apart from Af ones

I feel really down about it this cycle for some reason, I guess I’m going back to that ‘it’ll take forever’ mindset. I know four months isn’t really that long at all in the grand scheme of things but ergh. I’m thinking about following the SMEP this cycle and maybe trying preseed!

@L0ts so sorry to hear AF and that you're feeling rubbish about it. I think you should try out the SMEP next month, it will give you something to focus on. I don't think you should knock yourself for saying it's only 4 months, every month AF arriving is disappointing especially when you don't have an end date to look forward to! Eat lots of chocolate and have a glass of wine that's what I always do on the day AF arrives haha!

Will definitely be having a glass of wine tonight that’s for sure 😂 Trying to be positive as it’s the first cycle in around 4/5 months I’ve been bang on time and AF has started first thing in the morning. Cycles have been anything from 25-34 days for a few months now, I think back in July AF started a whole 8 days early which was bizarre. So I’m happy a little that things seem to be a bit more normal. Oh well, at least with ttc you can always say you can try again this month!! 🤷🏻‍♀️

Sorry about TMI but I've got yellow discharge, I'm talking like mustard yellow! Doesn't smell, no signs of infection. Any one any ideas haha?? How's everyone doing?

I'm guessing it's not an STI but could be a bacterial infection and you can get tests for that stuff in boots I think (or your GP). Or maybe if you're on new supplements could be that?

Im 10DPO with temps going up still, which has never happened for me before, so I'm feeling probably stupidly hopeful. This is my 9th month trying. AF due Monday but just going to let myself be hopeful until then! How is everyone else going?

@has30 the 2ww this time has been different not many symptoms other then weeing more & temperature higher this cycle only 8dpo tho

That's great news my temperature is higher this cycle as well fingers crossed this is the lucky cycle 🌟 are you going to test Monday?
