It’s been twelve million years & Minster & the good time crew are still here…it’s almost September and we basically missed out August for BFPs so we are owed.

Lots of people have got new jobs, had time off, gone on holiday, moved house, but what we haven’t had is the BFP to go with it- what’s with that??

So we’re owed a bumper bus ride right? That’s how it goes surely? If you are looking for a community of lovely ladies who know how frustrating it is when your doctor tells you “all women ovulate on day 14” errrr nope, we know a bus load of women who don’t thanks very much 🙋🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️😆🤔then here’s the bus for you. @Minster2012 hey my lovely, hope all is good. Just read about SIL's announcement; knowing someone who is pregnant at a similar time to you and then you having a loss cuts particularly deep, I remember a girl that I knew only from our SlimmingWorld group announcing her pregnancy at the time I had my MMC and our due dates would have been similar and the first time I saw her out with her baby I nearly cried-fortunately I was driving past her as opposed to seeing her face to face. I think all pregnancy announcements sting a little when you're TTC but when you would have been at the same stage it just hurts that bit more 😢.
Loving the house pics on insta through, love your taste in furniture, I have no vision/skill for interior design but I know what I like when I see it in someone else's house lol and I like the vibe of yours.

@Sausage1990 nice to see your name back, sounds like you're in a good place after a tough time 😘 have you found the reflexology helpful-I tried it for a bit when TTC and although that didn't help I found it so relaxing.
I was an OG btw who stayed on board as a stalker with a bump and I'm now a less frequent stalker because what was said bump is now a time consuming almost 5 week old.

@Kirky658 glad to hear you and Alice are doing well and getting into a wee routine. Definitely say to the health visitor about getting some help about the birth if you feel you need it, I'm sure she'll point you in the right direction of where to get it.

@Minster2012 great drop in childcare price you must have been feeling rich when that happened 😂 I've dropped to £250 a month that's with my free hours, before the free hours I may as well have gotten my salary sent directly to the nursery, he's only in 3 days a week too! 🙈 @paintfairy dont worry you make it work even tho it seems impossible at the time. Plus you'll save lots of money with the lack of social life the first few years 😂

We got a bit carried away last night after play fighting and well there's definitely swimmers in there after me resisting the other night too 🙈 surprisingly OK with it as I'm not thinking 'ooh maybe this time' and it wasnt sex to try for a baby so I don't think I'll be disappointed or even symptom spotting, the rest of the month can just run its course as normal (at least that's the plan, as AF approaches I'm sure it'll cross my mind a few times). Of course if it happened we'd be overjoyed but my mindsets in such a different place of acceptance than before that I'm actually OK if it doesn't as we weren't aiming for it. Definitely couldn't go back to actively trying and hoping each month tho as I know I would 100% go back into a horrible place and don't want to waste another 2years of my life not fully living!

@Vil10 I feel your pain with those knees I fell on a night out a while back and managed to skin my knees despite having an extra layer of protection from the skinny jeans I was wearing 😅 my husband was home sober at the time so he offered to help and clean my knees for me when I got back. The next morning I woke to find them still with bits of dirt in the cuts though 🙄 it's the thought that counts I guess haha. He said attempting to get skinny jeans off me with the cuts was a challenge in itself. I actually considered keeping them since the cut out knees was a trend with jeans but they are long gone.

@DKDK123 I know right on the childcare DS was in 2 days a week now doing 2 days plus 2 extra mornings per month but we are lucky cos he goes long days too like first in last out 7.30-6 so I get a fulllll day. I think the point of just having sex when you feel like it (play fighting sounds so much fun!) is the best idea, if something happens it will be for the best

@InkyPaper apparently so, until the mri results so that's like weeks and weeks (where the results might show it's fine). It's to just stop any twisting, but honestly it keeps falling down which the nurse said ppl find them really hard to wear. I've taken it off already to sit down 😉but will wear it when walking etc

@Minster2012 nooo, not help him out, helping assistant left in charge, in a way I wouldn’t help him, and getting info on things to throw to his face when needed, while pointing out to said assistant all the ways he’s undervalued, I actually haven’t seen him in ages, and a few more weeks yet,
if any consolation, dh would laught too but help so you can’t get too mad at him

@Minster2012 Sneak peak! Love that term! So annoying when the OPKs do not follow the pattern you are hoping for. I LOVE the fact that you carry an OPK and shot glass in your bag. That is commitment - can't miss that peak! So worth it when you get it though, that is a cracking peak! Hope the knee is ok. What a nightmare.

@Vil10 I didnt realise they'd raised the age for smear tests, I'm sure I was 20 when I had my first and was wondering why you hadn't been offered one yet but just read about it being 25 now 😲 you'd think they'd be wanting to keep the age low even if it only catches a few extra women that have pre cancerous cells its still a few extra lives that could be saved surely that's well worth the money of giving the tests from 20? Actually in disbelief at that decision 🙄

@bez91 perks of being a nurse I guess having friends in places ;) we have all been partial to looking at results on the system with consent of course 👀 hehe last time it took 10 days to be reported on system but today they told him it should be 5-7 days and made small talk about football with him as it was a man behind a desk and DH said it was abit strange handing his sperm over to him but hey ho 🤣 I’ve just read that thread with the women predicting her pregnancy and wow I wish I was spit on like that! I’m going to see a psychic on Monday and I’m hoping she can see some little ones in the near distant 👀

@Vil10 DH has been taking proxceed twice a day for 3 month, it’s abit pricey for a supplement but I’ve heard really good reviews online and on Mumsnet for people’s partners who have had morphology and motility issues to improve with? Also hubs sample was inaccurate last time as he was never given a information leaflet as he was unaware you had to abstain so many days before but no longer than 7 days and hub went a month 🥺 as I was bleeding non stop, quite surprisingly after a month he still had 32 percent swimming at that 🤣🙈 but of course went down on records as a issue with the sample but got everything crossed this time as we’ve done it by the book!

@minster2012 19 minutes this time as he had a issue with the signal connection hahahah 🤣🤣🤣 also was commenting on the fact TMI that it was more gloopy this time than usual but apparently that’s a good sign as last time it was watery and it was a poor sample so 🤣🤞🏻 absolute love the fact you did your OPK at hospital something id do like how I brought my wee sample in a Tupperware box to my first appointment 🙃 sorry to hear about your knee brace being in place until October :( can you put some cobwebs around it to be festive for Halloween? Hopefully your MRI is sooner than that for you

My manager has been so lovely this evening helped me with some interview prep and she said to me if I answer the way I have today the job should be in the bag for me on Thursday! Spent the afternoon chasing the hospital for my repeat ultrasound scan to see how my ovaries are doing on metformin and they had my request from the consultant on the 28/7 just never actioned it 🙃 so now that’s booked in for Tuesday so just in time for a new cycle too otherwise I would have imagined my lining would have been like 100cm 🤣🤣 DH is currently asleep after being in the pub with his dad all afternoon celebrating he can have a drink as he’s spent quite a lot of the last 3 month sober to try help his swimmers 🙈 I’m hoping for good things, good news comes in 3s so I’m hoping my first good news was my period came, maybe second good news a good SA from DH and third new job? Wishful thinking but you never know 😘 hope you lovely ladies are all okay! Back at work for 3 so I may be abit quiet these next few days but will check in when I can xx

Well girls I've bit the bullet and asked for help, the health visitor had me fill in a questionnaire. She was lovely and has referred me to the mental health mum and baby team so I should get some help pretty sharpish. Feel a wuss for asking but I know it will be worse when DH goes back to work.

I am on holiday and so don't have enough alone time with my phone to read all the way through but I did catch that @Minster2012 has enough privacy in her garden for sex! That is amazing. I'm looking to move and I think I'm gonna put that on my priority list of things to look out for.

The holiday is doing me wonders in moving past my MC last month. Every now and then I think about it, and it's hard to believe sometimes, something so sad and so painful can feel like a lifetime ago already and also feel in a way like it is still with me, and feels quite lonely, not something I want to talk about with those around me. But I feel a lot better. Unable to TTC though because we're staying with others... Didn't think about that. I haven't had my AF yet anyway. How long did it take for others?

@Kirky658 you are NOT a wuss at all, post parting depression and anxiety is very real. You've done the best thing for both of you by seeking support, the bravest thing you can do! You need to talk everything through with someone as what happened to you was very traumatic! Well done 💪🏼💕

Sorry I've been quiet and sorry for not responding to everyone. I do read it all but struggle to make myself participate at times.

Been pretty sad this week about mine and OHs mismatched sex drives - last week was FW (I think I ovulated yday) so I've been bouncing off the walls all week but he's just got zero interest now that he doesn't have to do scheduled BD 😂. Literally had me crying yesterday but that won't help so oh well.

@paintfairy I'm annoyed at how long they're taking to get back to you with the IVF clinic - I'd have hoped you'd be able to get the ball rolling this cycle in preparation for the next one.

@hellointhere oh yes a private garden it's fab! Only 2 windows we could vaguely be seen from inside too and neither of those are out bedroom so it's very liberating to get up in the morning and "throw the curtains wide open" naked 🤪glad to hear the break is doing you good in getting over things. I had literal spotting for a day after 4.5 weeks after my mc, we then worked out that was actually an AF so that caught me off guard but I didn't ovulate for a while. Well maybe not til last cycle actually

@Bundaberg84 I wouldn't have thought so cos I thought you weren't meant to test after a peak on monitor or CB sticks? Did you do it on the day of peak and day after? She says thinking we probably aren't gonna be able to today (day after peak)

@Juno231 oh darling it must be really hard, we actually had a convo not last night the night before (when I got 0.77 on the sticks) & he was like "but we've done 3 days in a row isn't that enough" & I had to say but that was actually for fun darling & now it's bitten us in the ass that actually that weekend sex has meant we are all shagged out for the peak so I think it would be really tough with then mismatch on top. How was it before when you weren't TTC you know honeymoon phase or when you got together after he came out of forces?

@DKDK123 agree about the smear. I was 20 for my first one @Vil10. I think I put the second one off until I was about 25 though. 🤣 Now days everyone has peered up there and a smear is nothing! And scheduled sex is definitely not something that's good long term.
@Juno231 maybe at a push i might have if my paperwork was sent when I got it and not after the iui failed. But I know the ivf clinic has a 4 week wait time (its on their website) for all patients. So I knew nothing would happen. I'm not bothered as I needed a break but I'm hoping it isn't months. Its a bad month spotting wise though so that's made me angry. Why can't anyone fix it?!
As for DH - does he not show any interest if you initiate? I know what you mean. I feel a bit detached if we have no intimate side. With my terrible spotting we often only do it fertile week! And I definitely find myself feeling a bit lost at the other times. I funny need it often but never means I feel not really wanted? Men likely don't get that side of it at all though, its not emotional for them. Have you mentioned this to him?

@Minster2012 my cb monitor wanted me to continue testing, but I think it's because it took more than 10 sticks this month, and then it wants you to finish the second 10 sticks, I used the last one today, not gonna waist more of them precious things :)
No, we DTD in the three days before peak, and on the day of peak, but not on the day after. Too tired! And sore haha

@Bundaberg84 whereabouts do you live?? We've actually spoke about a holiday in October time too, I was supposed to be going to turkey for my friends 30th but it's on the red list and don't think there's any sign of it coming off before then, bloody annoying!!

@Minster2012 hahahaha, I feel like you'd love a shacket, I can picture you in it now, so it's basically an over shirt that's too thick to be a shirt but not quite a jacket, hence the merge of the words shacket, I wore the same 3 all winter last year, either with a hoodie or chunky knit underneath , black jeans or leathers and a chunky black boot (picturing you with one and your docs) I'll attach a pic for you of one that I've seen that's lovely but more pricey, all of mine are from topshop/h&m/Zara and under like £40
