It’s been twelve million years & Minster & the good time crew are still here…it’s almost September and we basically missed out August for BFPs so we are owed.

Lots of people have got new jobs, had time off, gone on holiday, moved house, but what we haven’t had is the BFP to go with it- what’s with that??

So we’re owed a bumper bus ride right? That’s how it goes surely? If you are looking for a community of lovely ladies who know how frustrating it is when your doctor tells you “all women ovulate on day 14” errrr nope, we know a bus load of women who don’t thanks very much 🙋🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️😆🤔then here’s the bus for you. Oh and we don’t just talk TTC, we’ll chat about anything. In fact that’s positively encouraged cos TTC can be bloody boring sometimes!

@Sausage1990 so good to hear from you! Glad you've been taking time for yourself - I loved seeing all your makes on insta! They're brilliant and super cute! Nothing much happening with me, just waiting for our first appointment at the IVF clinic, but I don't think that's going to happen until DHs blood test results come back and we've got at least another 6 weeks to wait for those.

@Tornado2Inc I was also put on bed rest and no sex during my pregnancy in may after I started bleeding and they found a sub chorionic haematoma, though they could see mine easily on a scan so I'd def say you make sure you rest up lovely, I know 3 ppl who had big bleeds (like the SCH I had) and went on to have healthy babies but you lol after you two 😘

@DKDK123 you reckon? Even though the next was negative again 🤨I mean we will DTD anyway!! Of course! In a bed. I'm not an animal. But I have hung some nicely positioned mirrors in our new room 🤔😆😜

@Minster2012 for some people the peak can come on quickly that's why they say to start testing multiple times a day after you begin to get highs to make sure you don't miss the peak. It could be its peaks I'm which case dtd tonight and tomorrow just to make sure or it could be your pee was just too dilute 2nd time round. If in doubt just keep shagging. Pity you don't temp as that would tell you for sure.

@DKDK123 I am temping but missed out yesterday morning as crap sleep. Can't DTD tonight though, DH just not feeling it so we'll have a rest tonight & see what tomorrow's sticks show 😂

So it appears now that I am nocturnal I can catch up overnight, haha! Just been feeding our little madam. Health visitor is due today, planning to chat to her about me getting some counselling as I genuinely feel traumatised about everything that happened surrounding the birth and the abrupt start to motherhood. DH is being an absolute star and getting up to do his share of feeds, nappies etc, he's really stepped up to the plate and worships Alice which tbh surprised me as I didn't think he'd be that fussed 😅

Glad to hear Alice is doing well @Kirky658 if it's something you feel strongly about definitely push it with the health visitor and keep on pushing it too and banging the drum. Sounds like she's putting weight on nicely too 😊 glad DH surprised you.

I have a rare day off alone today. Lots on the to do list apart from into day 3 of feeling sick and really crampy. You know when your mouth is constantly full of saliva 🤢 I'll do well not to sack off the list and lie on the sofa all day I think 🙈

@bez91 oh that's awful!! I'd have been crying too!! Not that long ago OH had some friends round and when they got out the car they saw a child about 18 months old walking down the road bare foot in a nappy and dummy, on their own!! About to walk onto the main road, they picked her up and tried asking where she lived etc, they said she just looked so scared, eventually found her house, 3 streets away!' And the mum was unbothered!! Was just like "oh my husband must've left the gate open" !!!

Well OH was supposed to be going to a festival this weekend but loads of his mates dropped out so he's trying to sell his ticket, but we ended up booking a weekend camping Friday-Sunday instead before I go back to work on Monday, and I can't wait!

Pleased Alice is doing well and DH has stepped up @Kirky658. DEFINITELY ask for help and get talking to people if you need it, very good idea. Alice has saved you quite a lot of money by coming early though, it's pretty much a year less childcare before school (can you tell I've just paid our first 5 days a week full month!!)

@bez91 jobs are jobs but I bet you rarely have time chilling on your own...embrace it, your body is telling you something (even if that's lie on the sofa and watch all those excellent mid-2000s films like mean girls on Netflix!!)

You are living the dream @Vil10, will you sleep in the van or an actual tent? Whitening thing is one I saw on insta, it's a Hi Smile one, so far I like it, seems to be working and not made my teeth sensitive. I'm not sure how often I should be using it but once a week seems OK for me!

Omg @larrythelizard I never realised what you would have meant on the childcare til just now, I got my first preschool bill through the other day since going from nursery to preschool with the 30 hours funding and bloody hell now paying £97.50 instead of £400 and getting an extra 2 mornings per month! What?! Feel rich 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️

On the cost of childcare, I know! My childcare bill for the summer was £300 for 2 1/2 weeks, subsidised by the council too

@bez91 awww hun that incident in the park I would have been exactly the same I hate seeing little ones upset especially when they can’t find their parents or people looking after them, I can always remember those panic days when I was younger if I couldn’t see my mum in supermarket 🤣🙈

@minster2012 I would say looking at that OPK you’ve got a either positive or near enough positive, enjoy gal 🍆 you might have had your peak with the looks of the second one as sometimes people say they can have short LH surges for the egg to come out to play :)

Just a little checking lady whilst DH is at hospital doing his repeat SA, last time he was in and out after 10 mins, we are 13 mins in and no sign wonder if he’s got bad signal on his phone 🤣🤣🤣👀 hoping for good things this time round as he’s been on supplements and cut down with the booze front and we’ve done it properly by the abstain lengths, I'll be stalking for his results next week and get one of the work girls to review them for me before the doctors as it'll take 1200 phonecalls at 8 o clock to be told there's no appointments and ring back 3 weeks on a Thursday for same thing again 🤣🤞🏻🎉

@Minster2012 I've still never had a smear because of my age! I think it's shocking, it should be 18, or even 16 because that's the age of consent isn't it!!

@kaylsd Thankyou!! Hope your DH's SA comes back positive!! Can I ask what he's been taking? It's my OH's SA on the 9th and I jusr want a list of stuff just in case it's not a good result! He's really healthy and active, drinks loads of water, eats plenty of veg, lots of vitamin C, but he does have a lot of protein powder which I've been told on this thread isn't good, he doesn't smoke, he doesn't drink every weekend, he's really healthy to be honest, so I'm hoping his SA is good because there isn't really much he could do to make his lifestyle better to improve results!

@bez91 I know!! Apparently when my OH and his friend asked the mum "is this your child" she just went "yeah?" Like not arsed that two random men had her on the street, and when they said she was wandering round near the main road on her own she didn't seem bothered, no Thankyou or anything!!

Jesus. I don't think I can afford a child if childcare costs that much! 🙈

@kaylsd how many minutes was it in total then?! That's the kind of thing I would do! DH had no signal on his phone when he went in and was in an awful room and he was like "I nearly couldn't do it!" And that was for our actual ivf 🤣🤪🤦🏼‍♀️he managed it though!

@paintfairy yup children are very expensive. There's a lot to be said for summer babies, going straight into the school year too, sod this "youngest in the year not clever business"

So I'm sat waiting for my knee appointment & it says wait time is 50 mins. Got an opk & shot glass in my bag ready to go to the loo before I leave to see what today brings! I've booked an eye test too. Come on productivity! And I cleaned my washing machine filters this morning AFTER washing hair before DS up (then dried it when he was in shower & watching iPad) BOOM I feel very productive That's about all I can do so gonna bod about on MN now need a rest surely??

@Minster2012 I actually said this to dh. I was hoping for September onwards so happy to delay ivf this next couple of months. But actually an August baby would be cheaper. 🤣

I got a second day peak on my monitor - which was to be expected, as it always shows two days peak, I don't even got why it wants me to keep on testing. Maybe because I stupidyl re-set the monitor because I forgot to change batteries.
So we DTD yesterday evening. I need a break. I think DTD all three days leading up to peak, and on the day of the peak has to be enough.
I've got three nights out planned, starting tomorrow. First an office get together, followed by a big (work related) party with open bar and music and lots of food stalls, and on Friday dinner with a good friend. This kinda feels like a "big bang" before I can't do stuff like that anymore. But I don't want to jinx it. It just feels... right. I don't know.

@Bundaberg84 I've only ever got a static smile once on the CB and Didn't test past it so don't know what it did other than stay on screen for 48 hours, but it's really good you've got some things to take your mind off TWW for a bit at least!

So I'm feeling sorry for myself. @bez91 my knee appointment was the first time I've seen a doctor about it since the actual fall the first time was a telephone call & it was feeling ok until eh hem I was on all fours in doggy position this morning and it hurt a bit since this morning but still ok. But when the doctor was full on WAGGLING it around it hurt like hell & I was shouting "oh yeah shooting pains there" so he said it's got more lateral movement than a knee should but without seeing inside with an mri they do f know if that's just how it is since my 2 other knee operations of if I've bust it again. so I'm in lots of pain and now LOOK I'm in a frighin massive brace which means I can barely walk, until I get an mri (mid oct?) and then results (2 weeks later)

And I was in there for 3 hours. So since then I've been feeling like a weepy terminator who wants to do a happy dance that my body might just be ovulating since miscarriage in may but I can't dance & prob shouldn't drive
