It’s been twelve million years & Minster & the good time crew are still here…it’s almost September and we basically missed out August for BFPs so we are owed.

Lots of people have got new jobs, had time off, gone on holiday, moved house, but what we haven’t had is the BFP to go with it- what’s with that??

So we’re owed a bumper bus ride right? That’s how it goes surely? If you are looking for a community of lovely ladies who know how frustrating it is when your doctor tells you “all women ovulate on day 14” errrr nope, we know a bus load of women who don’t thanks very much 🙋🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️😆🤔then here’s the bus for you. @vil10 oooh I just learnt something new today, thank you! There's no way I could pull it off though lol

@Minster2012 @paintfairy @vil10 well I've brought it up with OH on numerous occasions, he just isn't bothered. His reaction is more like well what do you expect me to do, if I'm not in the mood I'm not in the mood. And tbf if the roles were reversed we'd always say it's the woman's lower drive that dictates how often it happens?

If I try and ask for reasons why, he alternates between there not being any or eg making up some crappy excuse that I said something not nice the week before - like who the eff has their mood ruined a week at a time by a minor spat or comment or whatever? I've told him how it makes me feel really unwanted and sad that I fancy him so much yet clearly he's just not into me :/ @paintfairy to answer your question if I initiate he just looks at me like I'm an alien with two heads so I stopped a long time ago as the rejection felt even worse.

@minster2012 when he was in the army it was more 3 times a week when he was home but tbf he wasn't home often... When we first got together I think it was more like twice a day on average for the whole first year lol. We had days where we'd go five times back then! It's been 12 years but I still wouldn't have expected it to drop this low...

Just venting gals! I don't expect anyone to have any sage words of advice, I'm just being a debbie downer atm. My weight loss has stalled as well so that's affecting my confidence right now too.

@Juno231 it's 22 years for us, and we've been everywhere from several times a day to months without, the spat a week ago is not a nice excuse, but the not in the mood has to be accepted I think, I hope you find a middle ground

@Vil10 I live in Switzerland. We have had one of the worst summers ever, hands down. and travelling at the moment is just not fun is it! You'll never know which country is going to be on the red list next. If I'll go somewhere I will book very spontaneously. I will fly to London though in two weeks as a family friend died a couple of months ago and he left his motorcycles to my husband and he will have to sort it out. But I'm just planning on shopping and dining and - BFP or BFN - having fancy drinks.

@Minster2012 I think so to, I don't know why I suddenly had that feeling. I'm pretty confident normally, but this TTC is playing tricks on me. This week I'm having lots of things planned in the evening, keep thinking that it might be the last times I can have a glass of wine or two for a while.

@Juno231 I definitely think you could!! I get the not in the mood because sometimes I just purely can't be arsed or I'm in a bad mood or tired, but making you excuses like old arguments and disagreements would annoy me! I think as well it's only natural as a female to sometimes feel like you aren't at your best or prettiest, but it's then the time for OH's to step in and remind and reassure! How often do you DTD now?

@Bundaberg84 wow Switzerland, I've always wanted to visit there!! Yeah it's just not worth the stress is it! Ohhh you'll have a lovely time in London, definitely spend your time shopping and eating/drinking, you won't regret it!!

@vil10 usually two days in a row every 2 weeks atm. And the last 2 were him hungover and just wanting a quickie - so I'm inclined to not even count those!

@Bundaberg84 ha if it helps our summer has been rubbish too! Do you get to spend much time in the countryside? That's what really appeals to me about Switzerland

@Vil10 Yeah I'm really looking forwards to it! But first I will have to find somebody who will look after my dog, as my usual "dog sitters" (friends and family) can't look after her in that week.

@Juno231 We visited friends and family in France, it was bad there as well. I have high hopes for autumn now! :) Well I live in the biggest city but even where we live it's mostly green, next to a river. We love spending time in the countryside but after the whole not-being-able-to-travel phase and only travelling around Switzerland I've seen enough of it for the moment :)

@Juno231 every 2 weeks isn't that bad. Not ideal but I've had worse. My ex was like 6 months. I think he hated me mind. 🤣
I know people sometimes aren't in the mood- I have that. Having said that, unless he's really pissing me off (he would know not to try then) I still just do it if he wants to. I wouldn't ever reject him unless I was really tired or whatever. I suppose its not that easy for men though. We do go through phrases where it'll be 2 weeks sometimes. The other month we literally did it fertile week and then not after. The next month I was like- you do know its been a whole month? 🤣

@paintfairy ah I think I can just about live with it outside of FW. In FW week though I could easily go every day as hormones drive me mad and that's the most frustrating time. He also without fail tries to initiate on my first day of AF every cycle as if he KNOWS I can't. Makes me want to strangle him.

@paintfairy and lol your ex sounds charming! I'm glad he's an ex. Also I'm the same where I very rarely reject OH even if I'm not in the mood, because I know I'll get in the mood once we start and to me it's a bit hurtful he can't do the same for me even if only once a week lol.

During FW nothing stops my horneyness. Nothing. Could do it 10 times a day and it'll still be there. I enjoy it after being on the pill all my life. Could never see the appeal of dtd back then! 🙄🤣

@Vil10 the age for smears is ridiculous I agree. A girl in my class at school battled cervical cancer age 20 found in the latter stages which could have been picked up much sooner. Actually also had no clue that was called a shacket 😆

@Juno231 that's tough, life's pressures don't help and if it's been there before for him it can come back. Maybe whilst not actively trying night be a good time to get everything out in the open about it?
