It’s been twelve million years & Minster & the good time crew are still here…it’s almost September and we basically missed out August for BFPs so we are owed.

Lots of people have got new jobs, had time off, gone on holiday, moved house, but what we haven’t had is the BFP to go with it- what’s with that??

So we’re owed a bumper bus ride right? That’s how it goes surely? If you are looking for a community of lovely ladies who know how frustrating it is when your doctor tells you “all women ovulate on day 14” errrr nope, we know a bus load of women who don’t thanks very much 🙋🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️😆🤔then here’s the bus for you. Oh and we don’t just talk TTC, we’ll chat about anything. In fact that’s positively encouraged cos TTC can be bloody boring sometimes!

It costs an embarrassing life (or TTC) story for your ticket please then you can hop on board

Roll on September ladies, it’s time for tunics, leggings & pulling those tunics up for hot quickie action right??

All aboard bus number 47

I think I was under the influence when I agreed to take on this agency bus driver role 🍻 I endeavour to not drink drive…

Plugging @minster2012 blog \\\___, we’ve had cancer, travels & ivf so need to get to the fun stuff, more ivf, surrogacy and more! #shamelessplug
minstermusings.co.uk for the blog that’s where the full stuff happens
& minstermusings on insta - some of our ladies have made special anonymous accounts so we can link up via me 🥰 so if Insta gets mentioned it’s there

If you want to sign up & get updates please do, please note your username if you comment shows up to others so maybe make it anonymous I won’t be offended 😂🤣(unless you are mean)

@Sausage1990 good to see you back! I wasn't very active here, but was reading every single post and have been wondering where you were! Sounds so hard what you've been through. Good to hear therapy/meds are helping.

Sausage1990 · 30/08/2021 17:38

@tornado2inc I'm glad you're doing better. A friend of mine had heavy bleeding on and off from about 10weeks to 20weeks which was scary but baby is doing great still and she's now 30weeks. It's terrifying tho.
Yeah it had been really hard. Tbh the hardest thing I've had to go through but I'm getting there. Baby steps to navigate the good & bad days.

@becarefuloutthere I'm glad you're doing good too & that baby is cooking nicely 🥰

bez91 · 30/08/2021 17:40

Late check in, been out all day for DHs birthday...

Ouch @Vil10 🥺 they look sore!

@kaylsd your SIL sounds a legend, how lovely of her

Oh @Tornado2Inc sounds like you've been through it these past 24 hours, super scary for you. Great news bub is still bouncing away. Hopefully they determine the cause of the bleeding

@Sausage1990 glad you're back and on top of things, good for you! I loved reflexology, need to get back into it! Hope the results provide you with some clarity.

Having hormonal issues today, I never cry. Like ever 🥺. At the country park thing we were at it was mega busy and this little boy was lost and sobbing. He was no older than 18 months old 😭. The staff were rallying round for ages trying to find parents and they couldn't and I and a few others were walking round trying to locate them to, looking for someone you know who looked panicked. I was so so sad for him 😔 about 45 mins later who was I presume his grandad was located, completely unbothered and unpanicked 😠

@bez91 ffs. Childcare at its best?
@Tornado2Inc oh no. That sounds stressful. I've honestly no clue but I'm really glad everything is OK!
@Sausage1990 hello! I'm glad you have popped by. 🤣 Its nice to see you. Nothing to report here. 🙄

Franklydear · 30/08/2021 17:45

@Sausage1990 hello back sister, nothing to report, cd 1 again....

becarefuloutthere · 30/08/2021 17:45

@Tornado2Inc glad you're ok, sounds like a really big fright! Glad you're coping ok ❤️
@Sausage1990 thank you 😊 going for a private scan next week to find out the sex!
@bez91 how was his bday? Oh that sounds like a horrible thing to watch unfold. How bloody irresponsible of the grandparent! 😳

Sausage1990 · 30/08/2021 17:53

@Franklydear @paintfairy oh girls why is this such hard work 😂🙈 im sorry we're all still here but know we're in it together 💕

@bez91 yeah defo get back into it. I've really enjoyed reflexology, and find it so relaxing. I've not been for a month as my lady took the summer off with her kiddos and I've really missed it. Hope you had a nice day for DHs birthday 🎉

DKDK123 · 30/08/2021 19:13

How did your first shift go today @dollybird89?

Ouch @vil10 those look like sore ones! Did you guys make up today or did you give him the silent treatment all day?

@kaylsd how sweet is your SIL. Hope you're not suffering too much now.

@Minster2012 hooray for darkening opks, hopefully they don't leave you hanging too long before hitting that peak.....now go get banging, bit chilly for the garden right now but I'm sure you'll find somewhere 😉

@Tornado2Inc what a fright you must have got, so glad bubs is still dancing away in there. I had low lying placenta with DS and bled heavily every few days (passing clots the size of my palm) from 24 weeks right thru till he was born. Every time they scanned he was happy as Larry in there unaware of all the worry and chaos he was causing. Hope that's the case for yours too and it's unaware of the worry it's causing you will it's happy and snug dancing away.

@sausage1990 glad to hear you're in a better space and hope the results from the mc clinic shed some light on some positive next steps to prevent any more losses. Keep taking care of yourself in the meantime.

@bez91 poor tot must have been terrified! I can't imagine anyone losing a child for any length of time and not being in a right state when they find them. I lost DS in a playpark once for about 3 mins tho it felt like 30 (wee bugger was hiding inside a climbing frame) and I thought I was going to throw up with panic I was so distraught. That grandad doesn't know how lucky he was! 😡 Hope the rest of your OHs birthday went well.

Dollybird89 · 30/08/2021 19:16

@dkd123 it went great thanks! Tired now and my feet are killing but I loved it and feels great to be working again ☺️☺️

Thanks to everyone that wished me well 😊

Haiyaa · 30/08/2021 19:21

@Tornado2Inc that sounds absolutely terrifying but glad everything is ok, hope they find out what the problem is soon.

@Sausage1990 so great to hear from you, I often think of you especially as our pregnancies were so close together. Do you have any plans for TTC or are you still having investigations? Feel free not to answer that if you don’t want to discuss it ❤️

Well @vil10 all I can say is ouch! Hope you are feeling better!

Tornado2Inc · 30/08/2021 19:27

@Haiyaa @DKDK123 a low lying placenta causing it would be amazing (it's all relative now!) @DKDK123 Did they refer you somewhere, or you just called them every time you bled? But I'm also thinking, wouldn't a low lying placenta be fairly easy to see on a scan? My gyno seemed to be unsure as to what is causing it.

Minster2012 · 30/08/2021 19:33

@Tornado2Inc god that seems very scary, but glad it's good news. Are they doing any kind of further testing with you/more scans later to try and find out why for the bleeding and check it's still ok??

@Sausage1990 heyyyyyy gorgeous lady so good to hear from you and that you are in prep mode that's really good. A better headspace? How's DH? Been watching your beautiful baby items you've been making they are so gorgeous. Can't wait to get some off you in the future. Have you set up an actual Etsy shop yet? Not a lot to report with me either! Cycle 4 now post MC and at least 3 anovulationary, totally messed up irregular cycles but I've got darker OPKs today and some ewcm 🤪🥳

@becarefuloutthere ooooo another gender scan how exciting!!

@bez91 OMG if I found out that I'd be fuming. Poor boy. Though yesterday I was in a co-op shop and expectedly got caught in an argument where toddlers had walked in on their own and taken some sweets and then the parents came in & said the kids said a strange man had given them to them & the staff were like "we can show you the cctv, they were unattended" so the kids had gone from who knows where, gone into the shop, taken sweets then got back to parents before they realised. Like literally OMG 😣😖😮

@DKDK123 look at this?!! Maybe my body is trying!! So we've done the past 3 days anyway (cos child free evenings/afternoons/gardens!) so do we leave it today & go tomorrow or what?!!

Ladies any help welcome! I've never got a full on "darker than control line" but maybe I could idk! (But of course now sat down I want to wee) Tried to explain it to DH and he was like, no idea what's best love. Er thanks 🤪

@Dollybird89 yeyyyy that's so good glad you enjoyed it!

TTC bus 🚌 47 for all them odd b*tches who DON’T ovulate on CD14 🍳
Tornado2Inc · 30/08/2021 19:44

@bez91 oh no, that poor baby! That must've been so traumatic! I go mental when I can't see my DD behind a slide at the playground let alone 3, LET ALONE 45 mins!!!

@Minster2012 no, no updates as of yet. Don't think I'll be having any other scans this time, unless they refer me to have it done elsewhere once discharged. As far as they are concerned, MC is ruled out and they are keeping me to see if I bleed more and if I need transfusion. And nice sticks, lady!

Minster2012 · 30/08/2021 20:12

@Tornado2Inc when do you think you can go home then? I felt a new woman after I had a transfusion (a couple of bags not for a MC!) I was like PING!! 🤪😜

& I forgot to say @Ltay2 how bloody scrummy is he?! Gorgeous gorgeous boy. Had the reflux got any better? Hope so

CAN'T STOP THINKING ABOUT NEEDING A WEE NOW 😩

Tornado2Inc · 30/08/2021 20:14

@Minster2012 hopefully tomorrow, if no more heavy bleeding. Yes, I hear good stuff about transfusion from my mom! Never had it myself though.

bez91 · 30/08/2021 20:20

How exciting for the scan @becarefuloutthere how many weeks will you be? He had a great day thanks, lots of food, now a Chinese and beer 🍻

@DKDK123 wow that sounds super scary when you had your son with that size clots 😳! I know I went from being distraught for the "parent" to angry in a split second. I was just thinking how I would feel if I couldn't find my child but no, not one ounce of fu*ks appeared to be given

@Tornado2Inc I know right 😡 yeah I'd have thought it would have been easy to see on a scan, have you asked if they looked for that? I had an issue in labour with a super short umbilical cord. The consultant said it was the shortest he'd seen and was lucky my placenta didn't rupture - apparently they don't routinely look at the cord on scans 🤦🏼‍♀️ sometimes I think you need to push with suggestions! Hopefully with a little more observation it'll become clearer.

@Minster2012 I don't understand it either at that age! Ooooh great OPK I'd say go again if you're able 🍆

Bea14 · 30/08/2021 20:32

@Vil10 Thanks for the welcome! Your knees!!! Alcohol is a great painkiller at the time, but not so fun the next day.

@Bundaberg84 Woohoo for peak!

@kaylsd That isn't too bad at all. I had to phone and say the dates that I was unavailable and the lady told me it was a 12 - 16 week waiting list. Hopefully once I am there it will all go quite quick. I am in Scotland so I don't know if I can get the app? Up here everything is NHS Scotland. I can't even get the app to show I have been vaccinated as it is for England only apparently. I would love the insight it gives you though! Until then I will have to wait patiently I suppose. Your SIL sounds like an absolute STAR!

@Tornado2Inc That sounds like a very traumatic experience. So glad to hear the baby is ok!

@Sausage1990 I am so sorry to hear what a rough ride you have had. They don't teach us how to manage any of this at school do they?!

@Minster2012 That looks good! I would do another one before you go to bed tonight and see. Sometimes I get absolute line stealers on my OPK and other times my peak is just the same or slightly lighter. I think it maybe depends when you catch it? But sounds like you have been covering it anyway. Woohoo!

In other news I also got a peak today - out of absolutely nowhere. I am so glad though. So I need to keep on DTD too!

Franklydear · 30/08/2021 20:33

I need theories, please, I felt like crap today, so DH took over, childcare, lunch, housework, I ate in bed and nap 3 hours, feel much better and currently waiting for dinner, why am I annoyed? He's also replanning all the chores that I couldn't do, ...

Haiyaa · 30/08/2021 20:33

Wow @Minster2012 that opk has snuck up on you, they’re usually such a tease! Are you temping too? I’d say treat it as ov imminent and get that 🍆.

Glad you have had a good first day @Dollybird89, hopefully the sign of more good things to come!

Tornado2Inc · 30/08/2021 20:33

@bez91 hm, i do feel a lot of pulling around my belly button 🤔 But no, I didn't suggest anything. When we went in this morning, it was to confirm an MC, so I was very surprised to see baby was doing ok. I did ask how it was possible with so much blood, the dr said he could only hypothesise 🤷🏼‍♀️ will definitely ask if that's a possibility. I'm not in maternity ward, so I'm assuming they do stuff to help me, and not focus on EPU investigations too much. Again, just my guess.

Ltay2 · 30/08/2021 20:50

@Minster2012 Yes he is SO much better. Hardly sick at all now, just usual baby amounts really. Goes to show it was definitely all CMPA related!

becarefuloutthere · 30/08/2021 21:03

@Minster2012 I know eek, can't wait! I'm thinking boy.
That looks like a good opk to me! Maybe leave it tonight n dtd tomorrow. Give the swimmers some recuperation time 😅
@Tornado2Inc hope you get answers soon, must be stressful x
@bez91 so 15 weeks tomorrow and 16+1 on scan day. Ah glad he enjoyed! Sounds like my Dh's ideal bday too. We'd go into China town every year, he was gutted when we couldn't go this year!
@Ltay2 glad he's doing well! He's gorgeous 🥰

larrythelizard · 30/08/2021 21:11

Evening all, not done a lot this weekend but have seemingly been busy...not sure how?!

Bless you @Somatronic that sounds tough yesterday 💕

WHOOOOOP for Flo in the house @kaylsd!! How nice is your SIL?! Nice to hear of a good one...!

I'm also not a massive fan of fate @DKDK123 more about taking the opportunities open to you...but only you know what feels right. Even if it's the Lion king song!

Oooh child free holiday @Franklydear - sounds delightful!!!!

I saw your insta @Vil10 looks sore, exactly the sort of thing I do!! Hoping DP woke up being apologetic. Dh used to get like that when he drank vodka...! Jeeez I just scrolled and sore them today!!!

Does 25 days get you to IVF quicker @paintfairy??

Got to keep the faith @Minster2012...and I scrolled and that's a really good one!!! I'm not sure I've ever got a test line darker than the control line either...has the headache gone enough to 🍆?

Oh god that's some scary shit @Tornado2Inc not in the least bit medical so no idea on what it might be but so pleased it's 'robust'...I feel like it's called Robbie now! Have you got a follow up appt...read and and saw you haven't - hopefully no more bleeds and you're home tomorrow and this can just be chalked up to a weird thing that happened once?!

Hi lovely @Sausage1990 pleased to hear self care has been big up on the agenda and that you're keeping Ok. I got a new job with a probationary period so also back to preventing pregnancy which is a weird step back. Will try again properly jan/Feb time. Going to start tracking again once new job starts so I know where I am. Tempted to have a dabble with reflexology!

Oh god @bez91 that would have upset me too, the stories of the afghan's handing their 2 year olds over to the US army absolutely ended me.

Really pleased it went well @Dollybird89!

I quite like a surprise peak @Bea14...keeps life interesting

@Franklydear im very irritable when ill, maybe it's just a touch of that?!

Minster2012 · 30/08/2021 21:26

Well fingers crossed for going home tomorrow @Tornado2Inc 🤞🏻🤞🏻

@Bea14 a sneak peak lol! Get on that dick!! But mine has disappeared 😬🙄
@larrythelizard headache has gone but so has line @Haiyaa look it's bloody gone to nothing (I HAD to wee so about 3 hours hold?) and urgh what the hell maybe it's a false peak gearing up 🙄ffs why is it so frustrating! Probs just DTD again just in case then see what tomorrow brings 🤣better for sperm to meet egg right??

@Franklydear my theory is he's a great DH. Def LTB 🤪

@Ltay2 it's crazy isn't it?! I'm pleased he's so much better. I've just had X's latest allergy consultant call & he's gone from allergic to fish, oats, egg & dust & now he's pleased he's now eating egg (cooked egg as an ingredient, not an actual egg yet), tuna, and we can't do much about dust when he climbs into a dog crate 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️so now onto oats! I thought I was being such a good mummy making him homemade porridge with various fruits in when weaning but turns out that was the worst thing 😖😣

TTC bus 🚌 47 for all them odd b*tches who DON’T ovulate on CD14 🍳
DKDK123 · 30/08/2021 21:31

@tornado2Inc they didn't do any tests or referrals to work out the cause (and each diff doc I saw any time I went in had their own theory for the bleeding low lying placenta/fibroid/early placental abruption) it was just a case of every time I bled I had to go straight in to hospital (they started asking me to catch what I could in cups as soon as I felt blood and take that in so they could monitor the amount lost and size of clots so I kept a stash of plastic pint cups in the loo), would be kept in a min 24 but usually 48hrs incase of hemorrhaging which they said could occur 24hours after a bleed then sent home after that as long as no further bad bleeding. Later in the pregnancy they put on my notes that they weren't allowed to touch my stomach to feel for baby as they didn't want anything that could disturb the area and cause bleeding. I was also told no sex and no orgasms for the rest of the pregnancy so fingers crossed your bleed is just a one off episode and you don't need to suffer the no sex or fun part 🙈 Due to the size of clots and amount of blood lost I was also told after the first few times that I had to have someone with me 24/7 incase I haemorrhaged, I was bad though and lied to them as my partner was in the RAF working away and I was on my own but didn't want to be kept in hospital for weeks so said I had someone at home all the time...stupid now thinking back but I didn't appreciate how serious it could be! By 30 weeks the bleeding was happening too often so they called the shots and kept me in hospital regardless. Despite all the bleeding DS was fit and healthy throughout and no official cause was ever given for why I kept bleeding so much. Hope it gives you some reassurance that despite all that DS was born fit and healthy and your little wriggler sounds like it's doing great too in there despite causing you so much worry.

Ooh @Minster2012 I'd say your body is more than trying, it may actually be playing ball this month! that's a nice looking line I'd say peak is most likely in the next 24hrs so get on it 🍆
