It’s been twelve million years & Minster & the good time crew are still here…it’s almost September and we basically missed out August for BFPs so we are owed.

Lots of people have got new jobs, had time off, gone on holiday, moved house, but what we haven’t had is the BFP to go with it- what’s with that??

So we’re owed a bumper bus ride right? That’s how it goes surely? If you are looking for a community of lovely ladies who know how frustrating it is when your doctor tells you “all women ovulate on day 14” errrr nope, we know a bus load of women who don’t thanks very much 🙋🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️😆🤔then here’s the bus for you. Oh and we don’t just talk TTC, we’ll chat about anything. In fact that’s positively encouraged cos TTC can be bloody boring sometimes!

It costs an embarrassing life (or TTC) story for your ticket please then you can hop on board

Roll on September ladies, it’s time for tunics, leggings & pulling those tunics up for hot quickie action right??

All aboard bus number 47

I think I was under the influence when I agreed to take on this agency bus driver role 🍻 I endeavour to not drink drive…

Plugging @minster2012 blog \\\___, we’ve had cancer, travels & ivf so need to get to the fun stuff, more ivf, surrogacy and more! #shamelessplug
minstermusings.co.uk for the blog that’s where the full stuff happens
& minstermusings on insta - some of our ladies have made special anonymous accounts so we can link up via me 🥰 so if Insta gets mentioned it’s there

If you want to sign up & get updates please do, please note your username if you comment shows up to others so maybe make it anonymous I won’t be offended 😂🤣(unless you are mean)

Taking up their seats & buckling up...

@larrythelizard our policy is 2 years and I think I miss out by 5 weeks... 🤦🏽‍♀️ gutted!

@paintfairy balls!

larrythelizard · 14/09/2021 22:22

Ok good thanks @Minster2012 @Juno231. I need to do maths and work out what it would look like on SMP - we pay pretty much the same for mortgage and nursery! But it's earlier than I thought!

@Lexber 2 years is a long time but 5 weeks argh annoying!

@Minster2012 our heating is on a smart thermostat thing and came on all by itself so it must have also been chilly down here, I obviously didn't rush to switch it off!

Since the start of the summer I have watched Silent Witness from the very beginning, I think in on series 17 now. Have actual work to do tomorrow 😱

larrythelizard · 14/09/2021 22:23

Oh and @Vil10 I don't think they do it like you have to look at them all in a row behind a two way mirror anymore - I'm sure I saw it on tv somewhere and they just looked at a computer screen - way less scary x

larrythelizard · 14/09/2021 22:24

5.30 starts @Franklydear? That's bloody tough to do that consistently!

@Minster2012 it was unexpected, I didn’t even ask, he started doing it and then said does this help you? Hmm yes
@Vil10 of course they’ll take it seriously and work to find him, quite rightly, he can’t go around doing that, defo a chilled one this weekend, it’s my birthday too, so lots of cake and movies
@larrythelizard did it for years, and then managed to change my work hours to start later so it was 7, but now secondary starts earlier so on again, you can ask an autistic boy to be up and ready in half an hour, unfortunately so up early, the hours I am changing are the work ones back to early starts, so I can finish earlier too

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/4349518-Surrogacy-makes-me-very-uncomfortable My eyes! My eyes! What have I read! The bigotry goes farther than just surrogacy, don’t read if you need to be calm
Found a note on ds bag for the lunch club, no wonder lunches are going well, the lgbtq+ community has adopted him

kaylsd · 15/09/2021 07:08

@minster2012 I’m already married darling :) we got married in the middle of the pandemic last year as we didn’t want to wait much longer so we had a covid wedding with 15 people and our dog as a bridesmaid at our local church, but we postponed our Receiption for times when the numbers should be more safer for our guests to attend so it’s like two celebrations for us :’) I have a second dress too I showed it to you guys on here a little earlier what I got off the internet 😘 I’ve chased up my manager she said she’s gonna keep her eyes out for it, DBS has been sent yesterday so it feels like the ball is now rolling again!
@ somatronic here here girl I’ve never felt so confused with a condition before in my life 🤣🤣🤣 your so right in saying how can a scan be clear yet symptoms still here! My main symptoms are hair thinning & iregular cycles I litterally don’t understand it at all 🙈🙈🙈
@Vil10 thank you sweet, it’s still awful to think what happened to you guys recently I hope the investigation process isn’t too lengthy so you guys can heal from it and get closure at some point ❤️

I’m dreading work today & I keep having nightmares these last few nights, last night I was shot in the leg 4 times for stealing someone’s exercise regime (WTF I know 🤣🤣🤣) have a lovely day ladies 😘😘😘

Minster2012 · 15/09/2021 07:17

Ahhhh @Franklydear what a great thread to wake up to 🤣😂the Neanderthals were out in force weren't they! Let's see what a slating I get. I got coffee this morning!!

@clolo your lining will be great! How you feeling on the meds?

@Vil10 it's just us thinking the name! Yeah I guess it will take a while

@bez91 what times the scan? Allllllllll the good luck we are routing for you 🤞🏻🌈🌈

@kaylsd of course yes the beautiful bum dress! Love it, sorry hard to remember everything but that sounds great, just don't go stealing anyone's exercise regime eh?!!!

Woken up with a banging headache after a shit nights sleep & have that all too familiar "progesterone leaking out of my foof" feeling

Urgh

Kirky658 · 15/09/2021 07:37

@minster2012 @franklydear there must be something in the water as DH made me coffee and toast this morning too! And he walked the dog this morning, waheyyy

@bez91 good luck with the scan today hun 👍

@kaylsd gotta love weird dreams haha

@vil10 glad you and DH can joke about what happened even though it was so awful! Hopefully the perp will be punished appropriately!

Today is Alice's original due date so a bittersweet day today, she is currently zzzzzing on my knee 😊 it is also really cold here this morning and foggy too so the heating has gone on, proper September weather!

larrythelizard · 15/09/2021 07:43

Oh good @Kirky658 he pulled his socks up without you having to point it out!

@Franklydear @Minster2012 always easier to judge when you're sat up on your high horse right?!

@Minster2012 oh good has someone given you some progesterone? That's good 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

@Somatronic ive started taking magnesium and really helps with my sleep, I actually sleep all the way through the night when I remember to take it (not last night!) - not sure how it fits with TTC but maybe worth a look?

Ok early finish sounds a little better with that horrendous start @Franklydear

Definitely autumn today @Kirky658 - I channelled @Vil10 yesterday and ordered a shacket!

Franklydear · 15/09/2021 08:03

@Minster2012 how generous, I would say cro-magnon at most, had to look it up from Spanish cromañon, it boiled my blood, can’t imagine yours, don’t go over there, nothing good can come out of it, and yei! for coffee
@Kirky658 ooh, look at them men growing up... have a little celebratory tea with Alice, she’s here she’s well, worth a party
@bez91 another good luck here
@larrythelizard yes I always finished late to accommodate late starts to take ds to school without breakfast club, but now he gets on the bus at 7.15, it’s not needed I could set off in the next bus myself, I just need bossboy to pull his socks up now, but half the team has left in the last month so things are challenging, flaky people apparently....🙄
@Minster2012 so you’ve been to the epu? Let me know when you’re confident I can start knitting...

Franklydear · 15/09/2021 08:06

Little news rant, stoping the hospitals being overwhelmed, what in winter? Flu season? Unlike the last 20 years? Give us some funding mate

feliznavidad2 · 15/09/2021 08:07

Good luck for today @bez91 x

bez91 · 15/09/2021 08:12

@Minster2012 @Franklydear @feliznavidad2 thank you 😊 it's 14:20 snap on the foof too! I have a full morning of visits to 'try' and distract me

@kaylsd what a random dream 😂 perhaps it was a subscription one and you passed it off as your own so a copyright issue

Thankyou and Happy due date @Kirky658 glad you got fed and watered this morning, DH points!

@larrythelizard ive actually seen the word Shacket everywhere now @Vil10 mentioned it 😆

Ha I'm gonna be slated @Franklydear but I agree with most of the surrogacy sentiments! I think it's beautiful when it can be done the @Minster2012 way but super hard to regulate it takes place like that. It just opens up a huge can of worms for buying women's bodies otherwise.

feliznavidad2 · 15/09/2021 08:19

Don't get me started on the underfunding @Franklydear I'll be hard to get off my soap box...

Lexber · 15/09/2021 08:33

Morning ladies, a bit quiet my end as reading regular but then not much to say or forget what I was going to say or generally too bloody tired!

Woke feeling so sick this morning I'm feeling so sorry for myself but going to try and get eat some toast.
Good luck today @bez91 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🌈🌈🌈

Franklydear · 15/09/2021 09:08

@Juno231 my only knowledge of surrogacy is minster, but definitely there shouldn't be any profit involved

Minster2012 · 15/09/2021 09:46

It's a difficult one on the surrogacy, and really hard to understand and explain unless you've been through it but i do think people like @Juno231 have a valid point that it can lead to exploitation in some countries. And of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I mean we read that article about the 100 babies previously right? It's a just our surrogacy laws need tweaking in the uk that's all. There are bits on the thread that are right about the recent bbc programmes I said the same, we would never have "told" my friend how to give birth, where or how. It was her labour & she knew best, she decided everything about the birth, and I think the programme glamorised it which doesn't help.

Maybe I need to get to write the surrogacy bit on my blog 🤣but we don't need to worry about it here

@Lexber if you use the MN app you can dip into a "reply" to read comments then go back into it, we don't remember alllll these things off the top of our heads 🤣😱

@larrythelizard bit of black market MN progesterone dealing! I sent the last of my ivf progesterone from feb to someone else in a similar position a while ago before they could get prescribed some and the favour was returned. We are so fortunate with our lovely community here helping each other, @Franklydear I've not been to the epu, my epu still doesn't prescribe progesterone til you've had a successful 6 week scan which they confirmed on Monday so it's off my own back, but I have phoned them & got a 6 week scan for 28th. DEF no knitting yet 😬

And @larrythelizard we need a picture of this shacket when it arrives!! I've not seen a shacket IRL yet 😝

@Kirky658 coffee AND toast! You win! Happy due date Alice

I told my parents yesterday as they will be away over the scan & I know I'm only pushing them further away emotionally if I don't. They were better than last time & wished us well & told me not to lift things so it's a positive emotional step with them. (We are distant emotionally & they said they didn't agree with us TTC another due to my health risks, the pandemic blah blah blah)

@Minster2012 aha I like your style!! Also pleased your parents haven't been negative. I have a bit of a difficult relationship with mine so understand it's not all happy family meals etc!

My skin has gone to SHIT and I wondered what was going on, went for a wee and turns out AF is here! 26 day cycle this time then! Deffo need to get back temping so I know what's going on, told myself I'd do it after sept AF.

midnight90 · 15/09/2021 10:14

Is it just me or is it agonisingly a long wait between conceiving and then waiting to do a test. These days seem like that are dragging to see if my period is due or not so I can do a test 😬😬

Haiyaa · 15/09/2021 10:49

Lots of emotions on that thread @Franklydear. I think on the whole I agree with @Juno231. When it can be done a la @Minster2012 it can be really lovely and such a gift between friends and family, baby is so lucky born not just from the love of their parents but someone willing to do this great service to create a family. And of course it was for a genuine medical reason, not like celebs who do it because they don’t want to “ruin their body”.

But on the other side of the coin there is a real opportunity to exploit women who are desperate and in low income countries who put their lives on the line essentially for a pittance. That is the part I don’t agree with.

And the people saying that women buying sperm is the same thing clearly have no clue. 30 seconds into a cup is not the same as preparation for insemination and gestating a baby!

Great news on your parents reaction @Minster2012, when is your scan? Will you get an early one?

@larrythelizard, are you back on the TTC train?!

Vil10 · 15/09/2021 11:19

@larrythelizard oh that would be so much better!! Thankyou x

@Franklydear been looking and he'll be looking at gbh, I just hope they can recover cctv🤞🏼 ohh that's perfect!! Nice chilled birthday weekend with lots of cake, ideal!!

@kaylsd Thankyou so much❤️ also what a strange dream😂

@Minster2012 loving the line progression pic on insta!!❤️

@Kirky658 I really hope he does get what's coming to him!! How is going with Alice during the days on your own?

@larrythelizard @bez91 hahaha yes love the shacket ordering!!

So I don't know if I ovulated yesterday or today or what but I was fast asleep last night at like 10 and OH came to bed and tried DTD but I was so tired and I jusr feel like I'm not arsed I'm ovulating, I just feel like if the previous 19 months haven't worked what would make this month so different? We DTD twice, in the morning and then at night on Sunday but that's been it since before what I'd guess was fw, and I don't even feel bothered, think this month with everything we've had going on was a write off and I feel fine about it, think it's good sometimes to feel like that, have my progesterone bloods again on Monday but think they'll be too easy but going by the rules of "everyone ovulates cd14" doctor, would love for them to be wrong and prove her wrong😂
