It’s been twelve million years & Minster & the good time crew are still here…it’s almost September and we basically missed out August for BFPs so we are owed.

Lots of people have got new jobs, had time off, gone on holiday, moved house, but what we haven’t had is the BFP to go with it- what’s with that??

So we’re owed a bumper bus ride right? That’s how it goes surely? If you are looking for a community of lovely ladies who know how frustrating it is when your doctor tells you “all women ovulate on day 14” errrr nope, we know a bus load of women who don’t thanks very much 🙋🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️😆🤔then here’s the bus for you. Well, the shop won’t exchange because it has a spot they are calling a food stain so they claim it’s been worn, so complaint to head office coming up, unfortunately it’s one of those exclusive shops so I can’t ge5 the uniform anywhere else, well the pieces with logo

@paintfairy not just that but I feel like everywhere I look, if you start with a boy odds are the next one will be as well. Whereas if I get a girl out the way first I'd be happy if the next one's a boy. If that makes any sense at all.

@Juno231 @paintfairy I think its natural to have a preference even tho you'd still be happy with either. All my life I was adamant I wanted a girl or boy and girl if I had 2. But when I found out DS was a boy I was still head over heels for him but still secretly wanted my next to be a girl so that I had one of each sex. Until he turned about 2 then I realised I didnt actually long for a girl anymore, I actually love just being a boy mum and wanted another boy. I definitely would never in a million years have anticipated my mind would change like that as it was always a girl I thought I wanted! But like everyone even tho I have a preference I'd still be over the moon with whatever sex I was blessed with boy or girl......or a puppy if that doesn't work out 😂

@DKDK123 I’ve been promised a kitten if baby doesn’t materialised, on the preference I really didn’t care on first, now I still don’t, but is easier for me to picture a boy, I guess it’s all I know

@whatwonder the first time you use the clear blue ones it's often a bit of a strange cycle on the circles/flashing/static a lot of Ppl find it's not textbook how they think and usually it's because you needed to have started earlier as it's "learning your baseline LH", it will prob be better next month but showing any static is still good right? It shows peak for 48 hours and it's the same as the other OPKs in that most ppl (but not all) ovulate the day after. We worked out the month I got a static on mine I conceived 2 days later but I guess that's actually the sorry meeting the egg not ovulation date 🤔

@Juno231 I think end of October is a good time for the appointment, it might mean a transfer in the new year anyway possibly?? Oooo will read that thread en route I think

@whatwonder lots of people swear by the CB. I had multiple surges so it never really worked for me. Might just be a bit off as it's first month using them

I try not to think too much about actually having a baby because I worry that I never will, but thinking about it just now I always assumed I would have a boy first. Probably because DH chose a name for a boy years ago (a name I like but it's not my favourite) so having a name makes it more real. His father died last year and it's his name so I guess I have no choice now if I ever have a boy. And the middle name would be my Dad's name presumably. I like using family names so I'm happy enough.

oh and on a separate note, I've secured the goods (golden grapefruit aka ass juice, lol) and...it's not that bad? Mind you I love kombucha and voluntarily drink spirulina smoothies most days so maybe I'm not the best judge of flavour 😂

and thank you @Somatronic @Minster2012 and @bez91good to get your insight on the OPKs. It seems like I didn't start them early enough so if I do use them again next month they'll probs be more accurate. Not sure if I can justify the cost though, they're pretty expensive!

@whatwonder they are expensive and to be honest I find all that tracking to be quite annoying so I haven't used them in a good while. I reckon having a fair bit of sex at roughly the right time should do the trick. Obviously that isn't possible for everyone though (probably not even a good approach for me as I have PCOS but I'm sick of obsessing and tracking!)

@whatwonder I just use the femomemeter OPKs - you get 40 for £10. Oh and I love grapefruit juice! It's my go to holiday juice at hotel breakfast buffets

What is kombucha @whatwonder???? Wait til you try pomegranate juice 🤣😂soil juice. The clear blue are good, try for a few cycles & see how you get on, if you are irregular it's really frustrating. I haven't used them this cycle as I'm waiting til my period maybe calms after my, I used last month & got to 17 flashing smiles before giving up but then to be fair I then worked out I ovulated on CD26 so maybe it would have picked it up but surely it couldn't have been high for so long & we missed OV as we were so knackered from DTD regularly over the flashing smiles 🤣. This cycle I think i ovulated on CD17 so it kinda snuck up on me

Right we are on our way to the seaside for weekend with all the in laws (including many other kids) where DH will likely try slope off constantly with his brothers to go fishing, drinking, anything except looking after children & being with us & there might be a bit of teeth grinding for me with the SILs.

I've packed the kitchen sink, tampons a la @Lexber as my temp has taken a nose dive today & alllll the snacks in the world

Kombucha is fermented tea, it's good for your gut health but can taste pretty funky depending on the flavour of it!
