It’s been twelve million years & Minster & the good time crew are still here…it’s almost September and we basically missed out August for BFPs so we are owed.

Lots of people have got new jobs, had time off, gone on holiday, moved house, but what we haven’t had is the BFP to go with it- what’s with that??

So we’re owed a bumper bus ride right? That’s how it goes surely? If you are looking for a community of lovely ladies who know how frustrating it is when your doctor tells you “all women ovulate on day 14” errrr nope, we know a bus load of women who don’t thanks very much 🙋🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️😆🤔then here’s the bus for you. Oh and we don’t just talk TTC, we’ll chat about anything. In fact that’s positively encouraged cos TTC can be bloody boring sometimes!

It costs an embarrassing life (or TTC) story for your ticket please then you can hop on board

Roll on September ladies, it’s time for tunics, leggings & pulling those tunics up for hot quickie action right??

All aboard bus number 47

I think I was under the influence when I agreed to take on this agency bus driver role 🍻 I endeavour to not drink drive…

Plugging @minster2012 blog \\\___, we’ve had cancer, travels & ivf so need to get to the fun stuff, more ivf, surrogacy and more! #shamelessplug
minstermusings.co.uk for the blog that’s where the full stuff happens
& minstermusings on insta - some of our ladies have made special anonymous accounts so we can link up via me 🥰 so if Insta gets mentioned it’s there

If you want to sign up & get updates please do, please note your username if you comment shows up to others so maybe make it anonymous I won’t be offended 😂🤣(unless you are mean)

Taking up their seats & buckling up...

Been abit quiet ladies as work is absolutely horrendous cannot wait for my DBS check to come back so I can finally work my notice to leave for my new job!

I'm loving the intros on everyone as I've been chatting for a little while but not being around that long to know everyone's backgrounds!
Here's my little background - TTC number 1 August 20, PCOS diagnosis in March 21 after many anvolatory cycles, sent for investigation and fertility referal July, may have MFI as two poor SAs from DH, follow up in October 🥺❤️

Hope everything's okay for everybody metformin has come back to bite me in the bottom today but I think it may be because I'm run down from work 🥺 sending hugs to you all xx

paintfairy · 09/09/2021 15:45

@Juno231 I thought that might be the case. You can delay it, but once you actually go they'll be keen to get you done. Also (assuming it's like mine) they don't just speak to you, they do tests which only last so long. Which cost money at the end of the day. So delaying the initial appointment makes sense. Its only just over a month really, so not delayed by that much? They did say to me if I can't go for when I moved mine to, don't worry and they can change it. I think at this point they are the most flexible.

Juno231 · 09/09/2021 15:53

@paintfairy yeah although now I'm kicking myself for not asking more questions.. cause this initial appointment is still with the ACU - not the IVF clinic. So I still don't get how it works but it looks like I won't get a choice after all, I'm just doing it with them? A brief look of their stats seem alright - 48% success rate per embryo transfer?

paintfairy · 09/09/2021 16:05

@Juno231 you could ring back and ask? Seems odd you get no choice at all.

Franklydear · 09/09/2021 17:04

@Minster2012 cleaning properly with uncooperative velcro child is impossible, plus we are not feeling this fw, dtd a couple of times but very meh, back to the early 5.30 starts with a poorly child that won't sleep is killing us, glad we took the week of, plus we slept until 11.30 after coming back home from taking ds to the bus stop, lol, he's been picked up by childcare this afternoon and texted to say when he was in the car safely, will get him back in a bit, were just having cake without him

Franklydear · 09/09/2021 17:06

@Juno231 end of October is a good time to start, it'll be quick once you get going, but do ask questions about the process

InkyPaper · 09/09/2021 18:03

@Juno231 that's always the way though - never any questions at the time but as soon as you hang up the phone you think of a million you should've asked!

@kaylsd aww bless ya, hope you feel better soon

Juno231 · 09/09/2021 18:13

@paintfairy honestly I'm not bothered enough to call again! Maybe OH will find it weird too and call to ask? MWAHAHAHAHAHA AND THEN PIGS WILL FLY

@becarefuloutthere I know you were at Guy's but looks like my clinic uses a transport IVF system to King's - made me think of you as I always confused your clinic with King's lol.

@InkyPaper I know right?! brains suck!

@Franklydear agreed and I can't wait. I'm glad you had cake this afternoon, less pleased you're not getting much sleep atm. Have I told you my new SIL (I think she might be permanent!) is Spanish? Love her already :)

Franklydear · 09/09/2021 18:26

@Juno231 you might have, I seem to remember something, where from? Our concept of family is very extensive, hope she stays and you'll be sisters, we don't really use the in law bit

Ds had a good day today and they are making a quiet lunch club for the kids that find the cafeteria too busy and loud, he's loving the lessons too, he's feeling better, so hoping he'll start sleeping soon, he wants to but the coughing keeps him awake, my mil was asking yesterday if he'll nap, ha! He hasn't nap since he was 2! I, on the other hand, ....

Juno231 · 09/09/2021 18:29

@Franklydear hahaha nothing like a napping youngster, your MIL has forgotten what kids do clearly! Love the quiet cafeteria idea, makes me wanna hug someone. SIL is from Extremadura. Very level headed, good with money and caring of my favourite BIL so it's a nice change from the crazy and slightly abusive Italian he had before... He definitely has a mediterranean type though!

Franklydear · 09/09/2021 18:41

Ah, Extremadura is cool, we are raised to take control of the household, more of a matriarchal society, mostly due to generations of men going far away for work, and having to manage, hope she's a keeper then
Some of my nephews napped until school, and one of them was more asleep than awake at nearly two😲 at that age mine was up at sunrise until at least 11, I discovered black blockers early on, saved us from 4 am starts in summer, he now says sleep is a waste of time....

paintfairy · 09/09/2021 18:45

@Juno231 not if he's anything like mine. 🤣 As long as where you are going looks ok and it's not the worst they could have sent you, then that's OK? I never remember to ask anything. Ever.

Juno231 · 09/09/2021 18:45

@Franklydear omw the only kid I knew that slept that much actually ended up having some chromosomal deviation they only spotted years later! Spanish as well actually! You had to actually wake him up to eat at ages 1-2 or he'd starve to death... such an easy baby though!

blackcurrantqueen · 09/09/2021 19:48

Hey ladies

Thought I'd pop on to let you know the scan was all good, and little lady is definitely a girl!
It was a very stressful experience as initially they said she didn't look to have enough fluid around her; but after a couple of litres of water and a walk around it seemed to sort itself out. I am now a little anxious but trying to be reassured.

And breathe!

Loving everybody's intros too! 🥰

Dollybird89 · 09/09/2021 20:07

Hi ladies how are you all? Sorry I've been absent .... Getting used to being back at work 😂 congrats on the bfps!! Think TTC is being put on the back burner for a while now I'm back at work, which I'm suprisingly ok with, next steps for us is saving for a mortgage and holiday next year.. I'll still keep following but probably not input as much x

becarefuloutthere · 09/09/2021 20:10

@blackcurrantqueen good news lovely! I'm sure it'll all go fine, hard to not be anxious tho isn't it!
@Juno231 haha yeah I think they're quite similar style clinics tbf. I missed your decision on what you're gonna do with the appointment, go ahead or postpone it?

Quick intro from me...been on the bus since June 20, was ttc for 20 months with various investigations which led to MFI, endo and low amh so it was ivf for us and it was successful first time! Currently 16+2 with a healthy baby girl 💖 had a private scan last night!

Welcome all newbies, this is a lovely, supportive thread to be apart of 🥰

Vil10 · 09/09/2021 20:35

Hey ladies!! Okay so I want to thank you all again for all the messages and support, you're all absolutely amazing!! OH said he "gave his head a little wobble" earlier and isn't going to let this get him down, he's always looking for the positive in things which I love about him, police seem to be being really thorough so I will update you all when we know more!!

@blackcurrantqueen try not to worry lovely, if they say everything is fine then everything is fine! Congratulations again💗

@becarefuloutthere another baby girl!! So happy for you💗 it's going to be a bus of girls!

Intro from me; TTC since feb 2020, periods regulated may 2020 after coming off the pill in January, 24 years old, OH 31, TTC for both our 1st child, been 19 months now, I've been for tests and all seem okay apart from progesterone was slightly low but don't know if that was because of the timing, got another progesterone test on the 20th, OH's SA was supposed to be today but due to his injuries and not being able to drive/wanting to be seen, they've rearranged for the 18th october so not too long away!

Welcome all newbies❤️

Vil10 · 09/09/2021 20:36

Oh forgot to add, I've been part of this amazing bus of ladies since may 2020❤️

Franklydear · 09/09/2021 20:37

@Dollybird89 that’s good! time to focus on you a bit
@Juno231 many of my nieces/ nephews nap a lot but then they’re not in bed until after midnight,
A practical question to those with teenagers, am I ok to chuck the blazer on the washing machine at the beginning of every school holiday so it can dry naturally? Or what did you do?

becarefuloutthere · 09/09/2021 20:57

@Vil10 ah nice to hear the update. You sound like such a sweet couple 🥰
Aw thank you 😊 so pleased n surprised! Was convinced it was a boy!
Glad you have a new SA date, I can't imagine it was something he wanted to do feeling the way he does. Glad you've got your test sorted too, hopefully they'll be answers soon! 🙏🏾

feliznavidad2 · 09/09/2021 21:20

I'm gonna do my intro and then try and catch up on everyone's posts.

32, joined the bus in March/April '21, TTC no 2 since then. No BFP thus far, have one DS aged 4.5 who we conceived on 2nd cycle in 2016 - how lucky we were.

I've got extensive endometriosis and spotting problems 🙄 just been diagnosed with a new endometrioma on my ovary and awaiting some sort of plan for it. Debating whether to see someone specialist privately.

Franklydear · 09/09/2021 21:23

Cd 11 and having incredible cramps, this better be ovulation, no 14 day for me, it’ll suit me fine

feliznavidad2 · 09/09/2021 21:29

@Franklydear I'm sure my Mum used to do mine like once a week (but I was a sweaty young thing) - it always dried within a weekend?!

Glad to hear your DH is beginning to feel a bit more his usual self, what a blimmin' time you've both had. Hope you're being gentle with you too @Vil10

Lovely news @becarefuloutthere 😃

Also glad everything looked good for you too @blackcurrantqueen !

Fingers crossed for you @Bundaberg84 🤞🏻and that it's not cheap pine nuts! X

bez91 · 09/09/2021 21:33

Thanks lovely ladies 😊

Wow @Juno231 that was super quick to get the appointment though. If you feel it's moving too quick and need an excuse so they don't boot you can you say your going to Sweden for 3 months or something?

@Vil10 oh glad DH is feeling more positive, hope the police get somewhere with the little twatbag.

Redoing intros... 30, TTC #2 for 16 months. 3 MCs in that time at varying stages both natural and SMM. Ovulation a bit sporadic but nothing else found. Was about to start
