It’s been twelve million years & Minster & the good time crew are still here…it’s almost September and we basically missed out August for BFPs so we are owed.

Lots of people have got new jobs, had time off, gone on holiday, moved house, but what we haven’t had is the BFP to go with it- what’s with that??

So we’re owed a bumper bus ride right? That’s how it goes surely? If you are looking for a community of lovely ladies who know how frustrating it is when your doctor tells you “all women ovulate on day 14” errrr nope, we know a bus load of women who don’t thanks very much 🙋🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️😆🤔then here’s the bus for you. Oh and we don’t just talk TTC, we’ll chat about anything. In fact that’s positively encouraged cos TTC can be bloody boring sometimes!

The school is fab, you’re always gonna have the oldest kids picking on the new ones, but the school approach makes all the difference, he’s got a meeting with his head of year to fix it, he knows who the kid is, he’s dead, pick on the wrong kid mate, so far they are dealing with it correctly if no progress by next week, I’ll go into school and then, they’ll be sorry...

Still warm here and I need some rain! I was promised some overnight, but nope.

I have to say I am not a tapas fan. I don't really know how much to order either. The bitting and bobbing stresses me out. I don't know how much I've eaten. Just give me a plate of food. 🤣 Having said that- on honeymoon we did go to a set meal night at one of the hotel restaurants (all inclusive so it was buffet or book one of the others). It was a bit posh for me but they did a tapas thing and because it was kind of sorted for you (you just gave choices) they bought you what you needed and so you didn't really have to think about it. That was ok. Not what I'd usually eat either, but luckily not too weird that I wouldn't eat it. I'm fussy. 🤣 Usually though I'd avoid.

Sorry ladies I am being a shit passenger at the mine, life is rushing past, DH back at work on Monday, not sure how I'm going to cope 😢

Good for you @larrythelizard 💪🏼 what's a week off the diet wagon, sure you'll get back on it. Plus as you mentioned before gardening leave is for coffee and cake!

@Bea14 thanks lovely, glad you're feeling better 😊 apparently the reason behind the blood test taking so long is delays caused by covid creating a big backlog. Or at least that's what I was told at the hospital

Welcome to the newbies! I quite liked @blackcurrantqueen's little intro, so here's mine as I tend to drop in and out 😂🙈: been on the bus since last...July/August? I think. TTC 1st child for 18 months, testing showed issues on both sides so now we're waiting to start IVF with ICSI.

Been on this bus since Feb last year although it officially became THE bus in May I think? TTC since Jan 2020 (NTNP since Sep 2019 when I came off the pill). Unexplained infertility - currently waiting for IVF funding approval. In the midst of changing jobs so hoping I can start IVF in Jan.

Soooo. I now have that metallic taste in my mouth I had with both early pregnancies. I'm 10 or 11dpo. I don't want to test though. Spa weekend starts Saturday and I don't want to know yet. I want to think of something else for as long as possible. Is that... stupid?

I'm TTC for no 2 - tried for 10 months but then got a new job over the summer which starts next week and it has a probationary period so won't be properly trying again until jan/Feb time. Enjoy hanging about on here though!

I'm 37, 1 DS, no full pregnancies, see below

I've also been around since feb/March 2020 when we had a MMC after our first ivf attempt transferring to me. Our ACTUAL first ivf was in 2017 where our embryo was transferred to my best friend as a surrogate & resulted in DS now 3 as I was on chemo for 5 years for malignant melanoma which I stopped may 2019 so we started TTC then. We did our first ivf feb 2020 as we had 3 frozen embryos left. MMC March lockdown. 2nd frozen transfer ivf 31st sep 2020 - BFN, 3rd & last embryo was meant to be feb 2021 but it was cancelled after it didn't survive the thaw. Told my egg reserves had magically bounced back to "low end of normal but still very unlikely to conceive" so was gearing up to do a full new ivf but put off due to second Covid jab. Natural BFP April ended in MC mid may.

So here we are, think I've just started ovulating again never had normal cycles 🙌🏻🤞🏻

Yes RMC called me this morning. The woman sounded like newsreader Moira Stuart apart from a very monotone voice so I thought I was onto a looser before I'd begun as she hadn't read my notes either 🤦🏼‍♀️ but...
she's sorting me progesterone, high folic acid dose and recommended aspirin from 7 weeks. She said she didn't buy into progesterone being too helpful for natural conceptions but more for IVF but prescribed it me anyway and is sorting me a scan out at EPU and blood test for coeliac disease which is a random one on me and I have no correlating symptoms but hey I'm just grateful I'm on someone's radar so feeling like my thoughts aren't running away with me as much as I know I'm doing everything's I can 🤞🏼

Intro! I am 32, no kids yet, TTC since May 2020, have had 2 early miscarriages and a chemical in this time, and I had another two when I was younger, so have had all the NHS tests which came back all clear so we have booked private tests at a clinic next week 🥳

Guys the builders have cocked up the extension again, they have put a support beam about 50cm in the wrong place so it will now be in the middle of the room 🙈 they are going to re-do it. Bloody useless!

I am officially cycle day 2 today 💃 and hopefully will be a full blown passenger this month trying again officially after a couple months hiatus - will see how the appointment goes next week.

I think I've missed a couple of babies being born on the bus - fab news. Also crazy and a bit miserable really to think how many babies are now here since the start of the bus last May - obviously so so happy for these ladies as we are all in the same boat but it really should be our turn soon!

Two of my besties irl are currently preggo and I've naturally withdrawn from them slightly as feel like I can't share as much with them and vice versa, it's really sad 🙁 just the way life is at the moment! I'm actually feeling a lot more positive since AF arrived, think the hormones were messing with my emotions the last couple of weeks.

Ladies thanks for all of your encouragement for the 🍆 you are hilarious and giving me a good laugh as I face into a million emails after 3 days off work. You'll be glad to hear that today is my rest day after a session at 10pm last night as per schedule and then again tomorrow at 6am and again tomorrow night (this is when I expect to hit the wall).

Re intros - I'm 34, TTC since summer 2020 and have basically been on treatment of some type or another since day 1 of TTC due to PCOS. I've been on the bus since April 2021.

I have Hashimotos and Graves disease which complicate matters - my thyroid has only been stable since January so my endocrinologist says my 2020 attempts to conceive were basically pointless. Am currently on metformin to help ovulation, I also take inositol (though I tend to forget to take it every single weekend) for ovulation, had 3 rounds of Clomid earlier this year which induced ovulation (on the one month I did day 21 bloods at least) but we didn't conceive, currently on first cycle of letrozole and t(r)igger shot and all going well so far. Have never had a BFP.

@Amy00 I can relate to the issue with your pregnant friends. I'm best friends with 2 women and one of them is currently pregnant. They are the only friends who know I'm TTC but they have never once checked in with me or asked how I am or how it's going. Instead it's all talk of scans and how horrible pregnancy is for my friend. I've stopped responding to their messages in the group chat this week because I'm a bit hurt by it all at this stage.

DS better than first thing with no more calpol. PCR was horrible and probably pointless as getting a cotton bud up two nostrils on a flailing child is pretty tricky, he's too young to understand why but too old to properly pin down!

Ah crap - my IVF funding came through today and my first appointment is already on Tuesday!

It says to let them know asap before the appointment if I plan on delaying the IVF... I think my brain says definitely delay until Jan but my heart doesn't want to admit it :(

@Minster2012 yeah I figured if it would be negative I'd still be like - could also potentially turn into a positive and will symptom spot. And if it's positive I think I would behave weirdly. I'm with a good friend, I'd probably tell her straight away, but ideally I would wait for at least a week or two. And if not, she would figure it out.

@Juno231 I never had that before unless I was pregnant or I ate cheap pine nuts. And I haven't had pesto in the last couple of days, so I can rule that out. But of course, it doesn't mean I'm pregnant. I only have one tube left and it's my first month TTC again, so I'd say it's rather unlikely.

I'm 38. TTC no.1 since Dec 2019. Been on the bus since feb 2020 but I ducked out for most of the summer, as it just got too much. Reappeared on buses later in the year and here I still am. We were referred to the fertility unit in Feb 2021 and have had 3 failed rounds of IUI, with this still being pet much unexplained. About to embark on IVF but we only get one round on the NHS.

@Juno231 I didn't think it would be long, since you sent it off around when I did! They originally offered me next Tuesday but I can't do it. I'm sure we are living some parallel life? 🤣 Is there an actual reason work wise you can't do it? In that you can't have time off etc for it, or the maternity leave? Or is it that you are just being sensible and polite?

@Juno231 why don't you go to the appointment and ask them about timelines and discuss your cycles? Seeing as you have the time atm to do the appointment? Or just say you can't do the appointment?? Like @paintfairy (then you can stay in parallel!)
Or have appointment Then can delay based on that? I know they say tell them before but they can't enforce it. We have wysteria, in fact it's everywhere, growing in the windows 🤣the previous owners loved honeysuckle, roses & hydrangea they are climbing all over the windows & into the roof so I've been chopping them down gradually trying to find the windows 🤔🤦🏼‍♀️(which are in a poor state) the wysteria is all leaves no flowers this year

And I'd need drink too get through. One SIL is due 2 weeks before we would have been from the mc with her 3rd under 3, & whilst she's been lovely with it (she knows) it still hurts & she continues to drink etc & eat all the things you "shouldn't" yet have no issues so its a bit annoying how it's always fine. I "drink til it's pink" but then stop but hey Ho 😩

@paintfairy It's mostly that I don't know when mat leave pay would kick in, and I'm not super keen on getting pregnant literally the same month I start just in case... and yes to the parallel lives!

@Minster2012 I rang them to check what they thought I should do. The nurse said if I went to the appointment and then didn't start treatment per their timeline they'd get very twitchy and uncomfortable and she recommended I move it to end of Oct instead. I know this will bite me in the bum lol but oh well - 26th of October it is now!
