It’s been twelve million years & Minster & the good time crew are still here…it’s almost September and we basically missed out August for BFPs so we are owed.

Lots of people have got new jobs, had time off, gone on holiday, moved house, but what we haven’t had is the BFP to go with it- what’s with that??

So we’re owed a bumper bus ride right? That’s how it goes surely? If you are looking for a community of lovely ladies who know how frustrating it is when your doctor tells you “all women ovulate on day 14” errrr nope, we know a bus load of women who don’t thanks very much 🙋🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️😆🤔then here’s the bus for you. Temp back up this morning which is hood I guess. Bloody sky box didn't record MAFSUK last night so I need to catch it up today on 4od as it looked like a good one! And lunch on the river after hiding from poo 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

Also, not working today, just answering messages, apparently there’s an emergency, as still in probation for a couple of months more, doesn’t want to leave unanswered, I have threatened to go to the tapas alone if necessary...🙄

@bez91 I thought you meant flew into the window as I first read it, and thought you were being dramatic. 🤣 Actually in the kitchen is slightly more of an ordeal. I would probably laugh but I'm not scared of birds. A spider on the other hand and I'm running for the hills...... probably shrieking as I go. Shudder.

Tapas happened, mixed reviews really, tapas in uk are not for us, so, croquetas were good and proper, they did not have octopus, hmm ok, peppers were not right at all, patatas bravas neither, but dh pointed out the kind of potato was different so that could be it, for some estrange reason they put saffron in calamari, never seem it before, weird, so everything ok but not quite right, dessert, we ask for the tabla, bit of everything, cheesecake, good and cooked not creamy one, almond tart good but they put a toffee sauce all over it, why?, chocolate con churros, weird, orange flavour hot chocolate, nobody could have predicted that, and ice cream, vanilla and sherry wine, again why? I’ll give up on tapas restaurants in uk, haven’t been in years, ok meal but not quite right, oh and the staff are south americans, different culture, mate....

Other than that, ds has a problem with an older boy at lunch times, but head of year involved to sort it, they also suggested he takes his fidget toys to school, which he is very happy about

Oooh @Franklydear it's to be expected that it's not up to your authentic though. We have a few tapas places round here but all South American influence. I can't remember where in Spain you're from but the best tapas place I've been to in Spain is Granada, beautiful city too I love it, we went for San Cecilio. Glad head of year is looking into that for you for DS, hope they continue to impress you 😊

@Franklydear British tapas are never going to be as good I guess! I go to a lovely place in Dublin which is run by a couple, an Irishwoman and her Spanish wife. The food is amazing but I'm always intimidated by the whole tapas thing - I never know how much to order and I always feel stupid.

So I took my trigger injection just now. DH went full Vincent Vega in Pulp Fiction on me but I think we managed it OK haha.

@Somatronic oooo DH & I went through a stage of watching classic films again recently & watched pulp fiction again, sooooo good! Yeyyyy for tigger so it's now on for 36 hours later yeah??? Ooo so sexy 🤪😆 I just go it with arias, better to have more food than less we always say!! But I agree that @Franklydear will always be disappointed I guess 😬 but there's some weird dessert options there!!

Talking of which we had our lovely date lunch this late lunch at a gorgeous place by York river Ouse, been meaning to go for ages. Sweltering. I had beef tartare then pork chop with ginger pineapple thing & sweet potato then an ice cream from an ice cream boat walking back to the car. Oh and wine & a cocktail. Yum yum yum.

@bez91 I think the main problem is things get adapted to suit British taste, some seem random to make it look authentic as it’s so out there.... I am from the north west, very different tapas culture, in fact we don’t pay for our tapas, they are served with your drinks, for free, from whatever they are doing that day, so you go to a few pubs for your dinner, and end up very drunk in the process ... @Somatronic the trick is easy order a couple and then some more, and some more until you are finished, I always have to insist to keep the menu here, I don’t want to order all at once, even if there’s a few of us, tell them it’s how the Spanish do it, for starters you don’t know how big the portions are, today we had 4 tapas and a share dessert for two, dh eats a lot so for 3 really

@Minster2012 your shitty story is horrific. I could not cope with that! You are a brave women taking all of this on, with a toddler too. Also impressed with your DH trying to sort it all himself. I am working my way through MAFSUK. I have got as far as Monday's ep so just last night and this night to catch up on. I have heard some interesting chat online about a contestant so will be interesting to see how that pans out on the show.

Thanks @InkyPaper I am definitely beginning to feel better. Worst cold I have had in ages! Glad to be out on the other side now though. 10 weeks wait for a blood test is a long time but it sounds like they are doing very a thorough analysis. I hope you get the results you are hoping for.

@Vil10 That sounds horrific. Your poor OH. What does a contained bleed on the brain even mean? Will it just heal itself? Sounds very intense for him whilst he is waiting for everything to heal. I hope his appointment on Friday goes ok. You must be exhausted too. I am glad his step dad and mum will be around to provide some respite as it sounds like a very difficult situation. Who can believe this all happened from having fun at a festival and meeting a total dickhead! I hope things get easier soon for you both, you are due some good luck.

I have the worst PMT today, I actually shouted at one of my pupils which is totally not like me I'm usually calm with them no matter what. I did apologise afterwards but still felt so guilty. What I'm not guilty of tho is the ear bashing DH is getting when he gets in from work as he said he had a job to go to tonight when technically he was but it was laying his sisters flooring. We already had it out a few weeks ago because he's forever off fixing or building for family and friends while our house is falling apart and I told him no more helping others until he does the jobs I need done first .......but no his sisters flooring is more important than my jobs 😡 Can't decide if its PMT or just emotions as its my grandas funeral tomorrow, either way DH is on the recieving end! Plus he phoned to say he was on his way home and can I iron his trousers for tomorrow.......he was not so politely told to do them himself. Men! Rant over 😂

@Bea14 well he tried, he even got drain rods today and tried that, but having found some random iron bits down the drain he had to admit defeat & call an expert who is coming first thing tomorrow 🤦🏼‍♀️(we are really worried that a Tamsin bit of iron in the drain means the drain gas collapsed under the house but heyyyyyy Ho!!!!) we aren't known for doing anything by halves 🙄but I'm so interested in your MAFS tit bit 🤔🤔🤔it's just taken me about 4 hours to watch last nights in bits around toddler 🤣

@Minster2012 clearly not unique then, great to get an expert so quick, perfectly aware it won’t feel it, on the anglicism, I guess the worst are kebabs, we sometimes go to the Persian restaurant, serve with saffron rice (normal use there) no salad, no tortilla or pita bread, my Iranian friends won’t go to the kebab shop, if we are having kebabs will be a sit down meal, I can have both but prefer the real ones

Sorry the tapas was disappointing @Franklydear I do love how sensitive your taste buds are and that you can tell the difference between potatoes! There's a new tapas place opened up which is meant to be good but no clue on authenticity.
