bez91 · 28/08/2021 10:03

It’s been twelve million years & Minster & the good time crew are still here…it’s almost September and we basically missed out August for BFPs so we are owed.

Lots of people have got new jobs, had time off, gone on holiday, moved house, but what we haven’t had is the BFP to go with it- what’s with that??

So we’re owed a bumper bus ride right? That’s how it goes surely? If you are looking for a community of lovely ladies who know how frustrating it is when your doctor tells you “all women ovulate on day 14” errrr nope, we know a bus load of women who don’t thanks very much 🙋🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️😆🤔then here’s the bus for you. Oh and we don’t just talk TTC, we’ll chat about anything. In fact that’s positively encouraged cos TTC can be bloody boring sometimes!

It costs an embarrassing life (or TTC) story for your ticket please then you can hop on board

Roll on September ladies, it’s time for tunics, leggings & pulling those tunics up for hot quickie action right??

All aboard bus number 47

I think I was under the influence when I agreed to take on this agency bus driver role 🍻 I endeavour to not drink drive…

Plugging @minster2012 blog \\\___, we’ve had cancer, travels & ivf so need to get to the fun stuff, more ivf, surrogacy and more! #shamelessplug
minstermusings.co.uk for the blog that’s where the full stuff happens
& minstermusings on insta - some of our ladies have made special anonymous accounts so we can link up via me 🥰 so if Insta gets mentioned it’s there

If you want to sign up & get updates please do, please note your username if you comment shows up to others so maybe make it anonymous I won’t be offended 😂🤣(unless you are mean)

@bez91 so so hopeful for your 🤞

@paintfairy yay for being in the system! Did I tell you about the lady with unexplained on my rhr thread? With their first ivf round they realised that the reason it hadn't been working was because her eggs don't form a barrier once a swimmer gets in - so multiple get in and the mess of multiple nuclei makes the embryo non viable. Out of 5 eggs only didn't do it and it made it to a 5 day blast and she got her bfp! In a way she's relieved she finally knows why it wasn't working and if she wants to do IVF again they know to use icsi to bypass that problem. I'm just amazed at all the bits that can go wrong!

@Franklydear yay for ds not having covid!

@Amy00 hello again! What ended up happening to the wall/ceiling height of the extension in the end?

Clairey844 · 05/09/2021 18:33

@bez91 totally understand your reluctance to get ahead of yourself so just an understated litte cheer over here 🤞🏻🤞🏻

@Minster2012 love how you're just casually in the process of a house sale, mum to a toddler, renovating a massive project house, working, keeping up with this bus, shagging like a porn star even in your dreams and then you decide you're not busy enough so organise two village fetes 😂😂 all with a knee brace on 😬😬

@Lexber sounds so positive 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Lexber · 05/09/2021 18:33

@Franklydear 🤣🤣🤣 I'm terrible for them!! 🤣🤣🤣

paintfairy · 05/09/2021 19:15

@Franklydear no covid is good!
@Juno231 no you didn't! That's really interesting. I suppose there are a lot of things to go wrong and the basic tests that do really are not showing much at all? I would think my eggs would be more likely to let no one in though, than everyone. If they are anything like me. 🤔🤣
But this is why 1 round is not really great, if you have an issue like that? Because you've blown it before you have started.

Amy00 · 05/09/2021 19:52

Thanks @Sunbird24 - I hope so too!

@paintfairy thanks, he is mega cute which helps 😊 that's great you are registered! One step at a time!

@larrythelizard that is one way to look at it! Things can only get better...

@Juno231 hello! Sooo they have re-done it properly but it was a really stressful battle. They were demanding an apology from us at one point 😲😡 the roof is back on now anyway and we are back on track. Just need it all to be done now, we are 3 months into the project with another 2 to go! How are things with you?

bez91 · 05/09/2021 20:59

Thanks ladies @Sunbird24 @Haiyaa @Bundaberg84 @Juno231 @Clairey844

@larrythelizard it's been gorgeous here today too, totally unexpected. Did you see the pony? Ah were the Ava reviews not good?

@Amy00 thankyou! ahhh it's the most stressful isn't it. It will all be worth it when it's done which is easier said when you're in the thick of it but very true! Awww your puppy, he's gorgeous 😍

@paintfairy thankyou, yessss a positive step forward for you 👏🏼

@Lexber your poor dad 😅 hope it's Amazon prime 😉

@2020mission thankyou 💕 July was my 3rd loss and also earliest. The odds don't seem to get any better but just trying to remain neutral minded!

Good news on DS @Franklydear 😅 hope he feels better soon and remains fever free

Fingers are tightly crossed for you @bez91

8dpo and no spotting here (longest amount of time post ovulation with no spotting since starting TTC in March). Trying not to get my hopes up as now my brain has made a silly assumption that no spotting (as yet) must mean BFP 🙄 setting my self up for disappointment me thinks!

Ultrasound tomorrow, doubt I'll hear anything during the examination so will have to wait for a week or two after. Will keep you lovely lot updated - got nobody else to tell except poor ole OH.

Franklydear · 05/09/2021 21:42

@feliznavidad2 he’s a lot better, no fever today, and will go to school tomorrow, hopefully, still coughing but....
Good luck in your scan, I wish they tell you as they’re doing it, please tell us, all rooting for you

Bundaberg84 · 05/09/2021 21:58

@feliznavidad2 good luck! It's so funny that we're both kinda cycle buddies again, I'm 6 or 7dpo today 🤞

feliznavidad2 · 05/09/2021 22:03

Thanks @Bundaberg84 👋🏻 x

Minster2012 · 06/09/2021 07:14

Morning ladies!

Everything everything crossed and sticky vibes @bez91 🤞🏻🤞🏻

@Clairey844 I may have taken the brace off my knee as it was making me worse! But a small amount of dancing yesterday won't have helped!

Busy weekend fete'ing done, and it seems everyone had a good time which was fab

@Bundaberg84 @feliznavidad2 I'm a couple of days dpo behind you in think but I'm so glad for the no spotting @feliznavidad2 🤞🏻and it's impossible to stop your mind from thinking things

@Franklydear did you get the all clear email?

@Amy00 OMG look at him!! Did I miss the name??

Will have a read through now, on a Misty dewy sep morning!

Franklydear · 06/09/2021 07:32

@Minster2012 yes we got the all clear, unfortunately not well enough for school today, hopefully tomorrow, dh was working today anyway so, hopefully he can go to school tomorrow and us on a day date

Kirky658 · 06/09/2021 07:42

@bez91 omg congrats. Got everything crossed for a sticky line
@amy00 what a cute doggo 😍

Sorry ladies struggling to stay on board, I might need to get a season ticket to catch up 😂 a certain little lady takes all my time up...

Lexber · 06/09/2021 07:43

@Franklydear hope DS gets well soon, and is back at school tomorrow fit you guys!

@bez91 🤣🤣 it's his team, he's been a life long fan and let's be honest someone has to... yes Amazon prime... twin pack of tests arrive today... 🤦🏽‍♀️
Still nothing 16dpo, per my dates 2 days late, per my Premom app 2 days late... for some reason my genera date app has pushed me to a 29day cycle saying I'm due today? 🤷🏽‍♀️ but even my last month (28 day cycle) I'm now late...
Maybe I can justify a test if no AF today?

Maybe if I carry a tampon in my pocket for the next 9 months I will have a baby by the end of it 🤣🤣🤣 because obviously that makes the difference... 🤦🏽‍♀️🤣🤣

Minster2012 · 06/09/2021 08:31

@Franklydear that's good on the all clear, hopefully he feels better soon 🤞🏻

@Lexber being late should def warrant a test. You ordered some "for your friend" right? Or just keep that tampon on you 😉

@Kirky658 im sure a season ticket is allowed

Franklydear · 06/09/2021 08:57

@Minster2012 it’s so unlike him, it’s driving him mad, he’s on the sofa, won’t stay in bed, not even in my bed, he’s hardly eaten anything and not been running around, downstairs neighbour is gonna think we’ve moved out

paintfairy · 06/09/2021 09:13

@feliznavidad2 @Bundaberg84 I'm 7dpo over here! Although I've been spotting since last Monday. 🙄 Bad month for me.
@Lexber AF comes right after you test. So don't test and keep the tampon in your pocket for a win! 🤣

Somatronic · 06/09/2021 09:52

Morning all. I've taken a few days off work and we're promised good weather for those days so I'm delighted with myself.

I finished my 5 days of letrozole on Saturday and I'm having a scan tomorrow.
I didn't get any major side effects! A little bit hot and a couple of headaches but that was all. I was expecting it to be the same as clomid (migraines for over a week each month, hot flushes, insomnia etc) so I'm so happy it wasn't. I am a bit superstitious so I couldn't say any of this until now in case I jinxed myself haha.

@Lexber fingers crossed for you.
@Franklydear I hope he feels better soon.
@Minster2012 fair play to you. I only vaguely know about village fetes from reading children's books by English authors but it sounds like a lot of work to organise.

bez91 · 06/09/2021 10:14

Morning ladies

@Juno231 Is it this month you start your new job?

@Becarefuloutthere is it this week your gender scan?

@Lexber that might make the difference! DHs idea a few months ago was to "just not test". Until when I asked. "Well ever" 🤦🏼‍♀️🙄

Ahh poor DS @Franklydear hope he's back to his normal self before the end of the day!

@Somatronic great timing on the days off! It's nice here today too and I'm off 😊

Spent all morning ringing round EPU/women's health/gynaecology at local hospital trying to get progesterone after @blackcurrantqueen validated my thinking yesterday and gave me some super reassurance and advice, just waiting a call back

OP posts:
Juno231 · 06/09/2021 10:34

@bez91 good shout on the progesterone - I really hope they listen to you! I start my new job on the 4th so still another month to go :(

Which reminds me - no word about my funding which I'm quite happy about for now!

@Somatronic I'm glad your side effects were minimal! I think that's one of the main reasons letrozole is meant to be better than clomid - it's just weird how the NHS has been so slow to move away from clomid still.

Somatronic · 06/09/2021 10:42

@Juno231 I know it seems bizarre that they don't start with letrozole. I'm in Ireland so it's a different health system but seems to be the same approach. She told me she's only trying letrozole because I already tried Clomid and didn't conceive, so Clomid must be their first choice. She seemed to think the side effects would be the same so I'll tell her tomorrow that they weren't and for the love of God try letrozole first and save women from months of misery (some women, obviously, I'm sure others have no side-effects) when there's no need for it.

Silver31 · 06/09/2021 11:26

@bez91 that's fabulous!! Keeping all fingers and toes crossed for you.
@Lexber I think you can justify a test. Although in full agreement maybe said tampon is the lucky charm so keep it on you!
@Minster2012 I don't know where you find the energy but pleased the fetes were a success. Have you found a worthy successor in your last home to take over the fetes for future?
@Franklydear not great that little one is unwell. Sounds like he's moving through the illness phase pretty quick so bug should be out of his system soon 🤞
For those DPO counting - sending positive vibes.

Loving this weather - glorious for the next 3 days. @Somatronic hopefully you have some lovely time off.
I'll also be on my jollies although slightly apprehensive about hot to keep schtum with the family about early doors pregnancy (still not trying to jinx it) particularly with sauna / soft cheese boards planned....excuse suggestions welcome.
Finding that anxiety is becoming a familiar friend (never really suffered with this so all new experience), worrying about things going wrong etc. Never have I googled symptoms or statistics so much in my life. Hopeful that busy plans this week will help to stop me overthinking too much 🙏

Crazydoglady123 · 06/09/2021 11:42

@Juno231 that party looks amazing! And loads of guys there!

@kaylsd levels can change so much between samples. I hope they get to the route if your oh symptoms though

@Minster2012 your cakes and baked looked amazing at the weekend!

@Amy00 that sounds very stressful but your puppy omg 😍 so cute!

@feliznavidad2 good luck today

@Franklydear hope your little boy feels better soon

@bez91 keeping everything crossed for you this time lovely 🤞 Deffo try and get some progesterone.

@Somatronic letrozole is a breeze compared to clomid. I only had a couple of headaches on it however it unfortunately didn't make me ovulate but I've heard a lot of success from it. Good luck for your scan tomorrow! @Juno231 it still annoys me after what happened to me with clomid when I see consultants prescribe but not monitor the cycles. Like here your tablets, off you go and just come back if it doesn't work. I did have a consultant call me up after my letrozole course to ask questions about the side effects and outcome for a study.

@Lexber how you haven't POAS yet I don't know 🙈

Not a lot going on my end. I started baby shopping last week and now can't stop 😬 I ordered a load of cute stuff from Australia too 🙄

Juno231 · 06/09/2021 11:43

@Silver31 As a Swede I'm just gonna pitch in and say that Scandinavians sauna all throughout their pregnancies and there are no recommendations not to. In fact they'd prefer you to sauna over hot tub as you can more easily regulate your body temp in a sauna than in a warm bath. Even then, they've removed the hot bath warning as a myth!

As for soft cheese... any chance you could check if they're pasteurised? Or maybe say you got ill from some recently so it still turns your stomach to even think about having some now?

feliznavidad2 · 06/09/2021 13:28

Thanks @paintfairy @Minster2012 @Franklydear

So, nothing horrific found at ultrasound, apparently I've got a 5cm cyst on my right ovary (which is where my last one was pre-DS except it was 15cm. 😬) It appears to be an endometrioma (caused by endometriosis, like the last one too). The sonographer couldn't really tell me a lot else, said to get in touch with GP next week when the results should be with them. 🤷‍♀️

Still no spotting and now getting sore boobs. This is not helping my wandering mind. Groan.
