I have been trying to conceive my first child for the last two years.
I've suffered two miscarriages both at the 5/6 week mark. The first was Christmas day 2019 and the second was in July this year.
I've just finished ovulating, must be no more than 2dpo.
I know this is madness but I swear i'm pregnant. I just know.

Oh my, I've just seen this thread and got a bit teary!
Congrats, op! You just knew your little one was with you!

HarebrightCedarmoon · 31/08/2021 14:49

Fantastic news, OP, you must be thrilled.

I always say I knew from conception that it had "worked" each time and knew I was pregnant straight away, I just felt different and had loads of little pains, blood pressure dropping, tenderness and fluttering feelings, slightly queasy etc from the word go.

Rupertpenrysmistress · 31/08/2021 14:52

What a lovely thread. Congratulations OP. Look after yourself.

golddustwomen · 31/08/2021 14:53

How fantastic!! Congratulations to you and wishing you a healthy pregnancy 😊😊😊.

GotLittup · 31/08/2021 15:11

Congratulations! I knew with mine - I'd had a miscarriage previously followed by a year of ttc with no joy, and I'd forced myself to stop testing - had promised myself I'd wait until AF was several days late - which never happened, and so I hadn't tested in months and months. And then one month I just woke up really early, the day before AF was due and thought "I need to test" - and it was positive! He's now a gorgeous 5 year old!

Thefaceofboe · 31/08/2021 15:11

Fabulous news! Congratulations Grin

PeachScone · 31/08/2021 15:20

Congrats!!!
I remember brushing my teeth before bed and feeling a strong pang in my lower abdomen that made me jump. I turned to my husband and said 'I think our baby just implanted.' We weren't actually TTC but I just knew, and based on the dates it looks like I was right!

ReggaetonLente · 31/08/2021 15:30

@SecondCityShark

Huge congrats OP! Star

And @ReggaetonLente - how did you know? I knew because a few hours after having sexy time, I suddenly felt really odd. It only lasted five minutes but I felt sick, dizzy and shaky out of nowhere.

When I worked out my dates of conception, those weird five minutes made sense, despite the whole thing having no basis in scientific fact.

Very similar to you! I felt lightheaded and - in a non gross way - 'full'. I can't really explain it. Just like something had happened in my body that hadn't happened before!

With DD1 at my booking appointment they gave me a due date based on my cycle which I wasn't sure was quite right, then at the 12 week scan it was adjusted and conception was exactly when I thought it was.

With DD2 we only did it once that month - second child and all that - so there was no doubt about my 'feeling!'!

LouLou198 · 31/08/2021 15:41

Aw what a lovely thread! I'm a bit late to the party but I "knew" I was pregnant the day after conception... twice. I was also convinced both times I was having girls, and I did. Good luck, really hope everything goes well for you. Thanks

zaffa · 31/08/2021 15:42

I'll never forget it. I was just sat having a chat with DH outside and all of a sudden, had this weird feeling of 'something'. Just felt dizzy and wasn't sure whether I needed the loo or needed to be sick. Hit me like a train out of nowhere and then five minutes later was gone! Never had it before or since.

I'm convinced that was sperm meeting egg and the shock waves of that rippling out. Couldn't have been more than three hours after we'd had sex. Crazy!

Sisisimone · 31/08/2021 15:47

Absolutely love this thread. So happy for you OP!

Disclaimer... I am the least superstitious person in the entire world. We tried for 2.5 years and not even a whiff of a pregnancy. I cracked an egg one morning and it was a double yolker and I instantly had this overwhelming feeling that I was pregnant. Far too early to test but I just knew. With DS2 I got pregnant quickly but literally the day after we started trying DS (about 2 yo) crossed his first two fingers continuously like the national lottery sign. I was a bit worried about it so googled it and its a native American tradition that when a child does thst someone close to them is having a baby. And sure enough I was!

Massssssive congrats to you, pray the next few weeks go smoothly and you can see that perfect baby kicking away inside soon Flowers

Mama1980 · 31/08/2021 17:05

Congratulations op - such wonderful news!
I am not at all woo, but never underestimate a mother's intuition. When my ds1 was in NICU (26 weeker) one day I just knew something was wrong with my boy, something new and scary even though he looked fine. I always remember the consultant saying firmly (when I started babbling lol) that if I felt there was something wrong then that was good enough for him. He had been a dr long enough to know never to dismiss a mothers intuition. They ran a load of tests and I was right - and they caught it really early.
Sometimes you just know.

LuluF91 · 31/08/2021 17:30

Omg I've been lurking in this thread hoping and praying it would be true and it is! So happy for you!
