So exciting for you @Aries491 ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฅฐ
My booking Appt was week 7/8, had blood tests one week and then the phone Appt week after. Going to keep the gender a surprise!

Welcome @Dr04 everyone is really supportive!

How's everyone getting on!!?! Xx

MrsBiddy · 23/09/2021 19:11

Welcome @Dr04 ๐Ÿ™‚

9 DPO for me, doubtful that Iโ€™m pregnant as we didnโ€™t dtd enough, unsure if sperm canโ€™t survive 6days till ovulation?

Going to wait and test next week just so I can be certain ๐Ÿ˜‘

My SIL is due in December and just bought x2 outfits for the baby ๐Ÿ˜ž hopefully one day we can buy clothes for our own baby ๐Ÿ˜”

Wishing you all baby dust xxx

Sparklingwine1 · 23/09/2021 20:51

Hi @Dr04 I haven't tried it but have read a few threads on MN about self insemination and it seems like it's a really successful way to get pregnant so don't lost hope. There has been a few ladies on here whose other halves have had slight performance anxiety. I think it's quite common. May sound a silly question but do you think if you take a more relaxed approach it might help?

@MrsBiddy I think they say sperm can survive up to five days but if you ovulated early on O day and/or DTD late in the day when you did it, it may be five days from DTD to ovulation? Maybe focus on the next cycle so you don't get your hopes too high. Will you stick with the Ovusense?

Thank you @KayL1988 โค๏ธ we had a lovely time at the seaside - it was just what I needed! Although shattered this week because it was such a non stop weekend.

@Aries491 so lovely to hear you're getting excited. Apparently ginger biscuits are good for nausea? Worth a try maybe โ˜บ๏ธ

I'm doing ok, we have my in laws staying this weekend so will miss the first two nights of my fertile window (I just can't bring myself to DTD with them in the next room - I don't even like the thought of my dog hearing anything ๐Ÿ˜‚) but then we will give it a good bish bash bosh from Sunday onwards. I'm temping and going to do OPKs this month but I'm feeling pretty relaxed about it x

Dr04 · 23/09/2021 21:11

Congratulations @KayL1988
@MrsBiddy hopefully we all get there soon!
@Sparklingwine1 Hi!Smile OH has been having the problem since we met really, and he's happy with BD once a month, but that's not very practical to conceive. So we took it lightly all along. He wants kids too and jumped at the idea of SI.. says he prefers this. I just started tracking with opks this cycle. Had no idea I would become a poas addict so soon!Grin

MrsBiddy · 23/09/2021 21:50

Yes still using OvuSense @Sparklingwine1 as seems to be accurate and along with ff app

I have bought some opks so hopefully it will help narrow down the window x

Sparklingwine1 · 24/09/2021 08:00

@Dr04 ah ok that makes sense! Hopefully the SI route works for you then - it definitely sounds like it will take some pressure off and give you a better chance.

@MrsBiddy let us know how u get on trying OPKs. Did u get the ones that link with the Premom app? They are the ones I use.

Aries491 · 24/09/2021 10:55

@KayL1988 ah great stuff, I've had an email basically saying I've been signed up to an online notes service so got to wait for them to call/write now i think.
Oh exciting!!! A surprise is nice ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks @Sparklingwine1 I heard that too but it's actually gotten better over the last few days just been having small cramps on and off which according to Internet is everything stretching and moving! Off out this weekend first outing since finding out so will be on the mocktails or lime and soda haha :) trying to keep it a secret isn't easy tho.

How are you all doing? Welcome to the newbies this is the best supportive thread :)

Sparklingwine1 · 26/09/2021 09:05

Had in-laws stay this weekend and they kept saying they want me and DH to have a family, they want grandchildren etc. They obviously don't know we have been trying for 6 months ๐Ÿ˜• trying to let it go over my head but it's hard and feels like extra pressure.

Lanternbright · 26/09/2021 11:07

Hi guys, Iโ€™m new to this app and excited to find this thread, 34, endometriosis, been trying with dh for almost a year and hoping to pick up some tips and baby dust! Am 6 dpo and trying to keep calm but always find this bit the hardest when almost time to test but not quite. Lovely to meet you all x

MrsBiddy · 26/09/2021 11:35

@Sparklingwine1
My dad sometimes makes comments about โ€™your be nextโ€™ ๐Ÿ™„ but everyone else doesnโ€™t say anything which is good, but I canโ€™t help thinking about what they think.
Maybe your husband could talk to his parents to explain? As itโ€™s not helping and is putting extra pressure on you both x

Welcome @Lanternbright, Iโ€™m currently 12 DPO and it is a hard wait xx

Lanternbright · 26/09/2021 11:43

Thank you @MrsBiddy how are you feeling? Will you be testing or wait until af is due?

Sparklingwine1 · 26/09/2021 12:56

@MrsBiddy normally it doesn't bother me too much but now we are actively trying for a baby it feels more of a sensitive topic and i get a little defensive about it. I agree I think DH may have to have words if it keeps happening ๐Ÿ˜•

@Lanternbright welcome! I think you'll find this thread really supportive. There is no such thing as a silly question (or a 'too much information' question') on here โ˜บ๏ธ what sort of approach have u been taking so far? I'm using OPKs and temping - little bit obsessed with seeing my temperature charts. Also using pre-seed, although that hasn't worked for us yet.

Currently CD 10 ๐Ÿ˜Š

@MrsBiddy are u going to test early x

MrsBiddy · 26/09/2021 16:46

@Lanternbright @Sparklingwine1

I think I will test on Tuesday which will be 2weeks as I have an appointment for gynaecologist on Friday, as for 6months I was bleeding and unsure if itโ€™s a polyp or cyst etc however for two months Iโ€™ve had nothing, so duno whatโ€™s going on there lol I just want to make sure before I go as I have to fill in a form which asks if I could be pregnant.

Also my periods are never regular due to pcos so canโ€™t rely on that not turning up on time ๐Ÿ˜‚

X

Lanternbright · 26/09/2021 17:25

@Sparklingwine1 thank you so much! I really appreciate the welcome. Iโ€™ve been doing temping and then was paranoid I wasnโ€™t actually ovulating (even though my temp was going up) so I started OPK too last month and then tracking EWCM etc. Overall Iโ€™ve been doing well, though because I have endo I always have this underlying paranoia that Iโ€™m infertile so I definitely have anxious periods. I have a meeting with the consultant next week to see if they think I need anymore surgery so thatโ€™s good as Iโ€™ve been waiting a while, will just be good to hear their thoughts. How about you?

@MrsBiddy how annoying about irregular periods. Iโ€™m seeing the gynaecologist on Friday too! Fingers crossed for both of us x

Lanternbright · 26/09/2021 17:26

@Sparklingwine1 Iโ€™m so sorry youโ€™ve literally just told me youโ€™re temping and using opks so please ignore my question! Thatโ€™ll teach me to try and do two things at once!

Eli707 · 28/09/2021 06:47

Ahhhh!! CD12 and no sign of ovulation. CB opk still showing empty circle when normally have flashing smiley from CD8. What is my body doing??
Phone appointment with gp on Thursday to discuss day 21 progesterone which I think can only mean there's a problem as they would have told me when I rang for results if all fine - especially now I don't even seem to be ovulating.
Feel like I've been utterly useless at work recently because this is all I'm thinking about.

Hope every else is doing a bit better x

Sparklingwine1 · 28/09/2021 08:02

@Eli707 that sounds stressful but try not to panic โค๏ธ
I was reading about anovulatory cycles yesterday and didn't realise that most women get the occasional cycle where ovulation just doesn't happen.
If this is an issue for you, I think there are medications that can increase likelihood of ovulation happening? So even if it is the worst case scenario and you're not ovulating at least the Drs have picked it up and can give you the right medication/support to make it happen. I'm really keeping everything crossed for you though that the Dr tells u everything is fine ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿผ

@MrsBiddy and @Lanternbright I really hope both your appointments go well on Friday. Xxx

MrsBiddy · 28/09/2021 12:22

@Sparklingwine1. Thank you,

AF has arrived ๐Ÿ™„
Was wondering if they would do an internal scan if Iโ€™m on my period?
I was thinking on the weekend that it would be my luck it started before an appointment! So annoying ๐Ÿ˜–๐Ÿ™„

Wishing you all baby dust this October xx

Lanternbright · 28/09/2021 13:07

Thank you so much @Sparklingwine1 Iโ€™ll update after.

@MrsBiddy I think they will do it even if youโ€™re on your period (after a quick google!)

Am on 8 dpo getting bad headaches last couple of days and suspect Iโ€™m going to see af soonโ€ฆ

Eli707 · 01/10/2021 08:01

So blood test showed no ovulation again. Told I'm allowed one more blood test and that's all they can do before fertility clinic appointment in Feb. Hardly slept at all last night - my mind was just swirling with it all. If I'm not ovulating, my body is really good at faking it with temp changes and positive opks. I just don't get it.

Sparklingwine1 · 02/10/2021 16:48

So sorry @Eli707 โ˜น๏ธ sending u a big virtual hug.
I think it is possible to get a LH rise without ovulation happening but I don't know about the temperature.
I know it's hard but I think there are some medications that can prompt you to ovulate so don't lose hope xx

Sparklingwine1 · 02/10/2021 16:49

@Lanternbright @MrsBiddy how did your appointments go?

MrsBiddy · 02/10/2021 17:15

@Sparklingwine1
Appointment went ok, it was via nhs at a private hospital.
I didn't have an internal scan as since taking a 3rd Metformin tablet the irregular bleeding has stopped and I've had two normal periods.
We have a plan of action as he wants me to have a blood test on 18th to check hormone levels and see if I'm ovulating.
And will have another appointment in 3months if I'm not pregnant by then to discuss options.
I'm happy that things are being looked into properly and feel that with it being private i wasn't rushed and could have a proper chat.

Got opks to use this month aswell as OvuSense, period is nearly finished and trying to keep positive for our second cycle ๐Ÿ˜Œ

Hope you and everyone else is doing ok? Xxx
