I am CD16 at the mo, ovulation was Saturday or Sunday I suspect going off some cramps I had so made sure I DTD across the weekend and aiming for tonight/ maybe tomorrow just to cover bases. I am indeed trying to haha how are you getting on with opks and temping? What CD are you currently? Xx

My scan went well today! 😊 It wasn’t as clear as my one at 10 weeks as they did an internal one then and this was abdominal, but she said baby looked all good and we could see his/her little heart beating. They also dated me 13 weeks (I thought I was 12 weeks and 3 days) so I’m suddenly in my second trimester haha 😊
I’m torn between wanting to text everyone I know now and wanting to tell everyone in person 😂

I don’t think I’ll get another kitten HRP1990 for quite a while as just feel so heartbroken, but maybe one day as I do love having a cat to cuddle!
That’s exciting you still have to tell your parents! Have you any idea how you might tell them?

Also keeping my fingers too crossed September is a lucky month for you all!!!

Hey all, new to mumsnet . I’m cycle day 27, was due AF yesterday. Is it true that opks can show early pregnancy? I use CB digital sticks but it’s showing no fertility so I’m guessing I’m out this month and AF is imminent xx

Hi @Lavender90 - they can, but not always. Use a FRER and safe your opk sticks :)

@Mrsspoon3 I'm so sorry to hear about your cat. Our cat is 13 and I don't know what I'll do when she leaves us - she's a very cuddly cat too. I cried for weeks when we lost our other cat a few years ago. It's like losing a family member xx
Glad to hear your scan went well tho and thank you for your advice too - I think I'll go for Friday as I'm pretty sure I ovulated CD12.

How's everyone else doing today? I am chilling on CD17 now so still going to DTD on and off until AF due. Going back to the office part time next week so that should be a welcome distraction :)

All good here thanks @Aries491 I am 7DPO today. No symptoms or anything. AF due next week between Wednesday and Friday (likely Wednesday).

I'm already forward planning and looking at September's expected fertile window and I'm so annoyed because next month will be the third month in a row where we are either staying away or have guests staying with us. Next month we have my in laws staying and neither me or DH want to DTD with them in the next room. It's only for two nights but it's starting to frustrate me that our FW keeps being restricted on what days we DTD based on our social plans! It's only because since lockdown eased we are catching up with so many family/friends. I've told DH though that after next month we are NOT BOOKING any stays away or visitors on the fertile window. Sorry this is a bit of a morning rant 🤣

How do you feel about going back to the office @Aries491? I am permanently home based in my contract now which I do prefer but doesn't make the TWW any easier x

Haha rant away i know what you mean it's so awkward I wouldn't want to DTD with guests in the house either tbh. Fingers crossed this is the cycle though and then you don't need to worry about it :)

I'm looking forward to it, its only 3 days a week then 2 at home which I prefer as I have enjoyed having the time at home :) I understand it can be easy to be thinking about the TWW at home and test earlier etc so hopefully it'll be a welcome distraction from ttc. Xx

@Sparklingwine1 Were away with my parents and my brother and his partner next weekend and we e both said how relieved we are it's not in the FW so totally get how you feel.

I'm 9DPO (I think) - I've been back at the office since last weeks and is not making the TWW go any faster. Have had really sore nipples for a couple of days and itching to test but AF not due until 19th. Keeping everything crossed as this should be my longest LP but it is driving me crazy.

Very new to BBT and using OvuSense atm
Also have every fertility app known to man on my phone 😆
Currently on CD21 no I dear if I have ovulated this month 🙄

I'm 8dpo @Eli707 so we are quite similar! Today is the first day I've felt the need to test but I've held out as I think it's still too early. AF for me is due probably next Wednesday. I was debating doing a test on Sunday but I'm scared as this is month 6 for us and I think seeing a BFN this month will break me a bit. I think that's why I'm trying to focus and plan when we will DTD next cycle, so I don't get my hopes up for this cycle.

Welcome @MrsBiddy ! one of the ladies on here (@CTMcG ) got a BFP not long ago and she has PCOS. We are a supportive bunch and u are always welcome here. How have u found things so far?

It’s good hearing it is possible for a bfp 🙂 finding it hard as trying to lose weight aswell to help out chances.
It’s my first cycle that I am tracking and trying to understand it all, my OvuSense sensor said I ovulated CD13 but then disappeared and still says I’m waiting to confirm ovulation as my temperature dipped
I don’t know if any of you could look and see if ovulation occurred?

Welcome @MrsBiddy as sparkling said we are a supportive group so should hopefully help you out with anything :-) some of the other girls are good at reading those graphs as I haven't been tracking temperature/opks (trying the relaxed approach...ha!) Xx

@MrsBiddy I know that with PCOS what can happen is the body can gear up to ovulate but then it doesn't - and it can try multiple times in a single cycle before it gets there. That's why people refer to charts of those with PCOS as it having lots of 'mountains' - because it goes up and down a few times whereas somebody who doesn't have PCOS will usually only have it go up once.

I find this helpful:
Your body temperature dips a bit just before your ovary releases an egg. Then, 24 hours after the egg's release, your temperature rises and stays up for several days. Before ovulation, a woman's BBT averages between 97°F (36.1°C) and 97.5°F (36.4°C). After ovulation, it rises to 97.6°F (36.4°C) to 98.6°F (37°C).

I use it as a loose guide as everyone is different but I would say that if your temp hasn't gone up above about 36.45/36.5 and stayed up in that range for a few days then you may not have ovulated yet. It does look like it's climbing at the minute though. I would keep a close eye on it every time it dips quite low as that could mean the egg is due to be released.

Are you using OPK tests too? They are useful but can be a bit stressful. I really recommend Fertility Friend app if you don't use it already as you can look at other charts of people who have similar cycles.

Hello new here! We aren’t officially “trying” yet (starting this cycle) but haven’t really been fastidious with the condoms (putting them on at the end). Question for you all though - AF was due on Monday (cycles pretty clockwork since coming off the pill a year ago), but nothing to be seen. Did a cheap test last night which was negative. Any ideas?? Boobs are a little sore, no cramping to speak off, mega PMS mood not to be seen either. Do I just wait it out for AF to arrive??

No plans apart from doing the BD 😆😂 maybe going for a roast 😋 got to keep the energy up 😂

My AF finally arrived (just happy at this point after it being a week late and several BFNs later). I think it was still being messed up from second Covid jab in July. Onwards and upwards for the next cycle.

Something is definitely not right here either. CD24, had spotting for a few days now and temp has been kind of middlely (not high not low - around 36.6) for a couple of days too. I'm thinking AF is coming but that makes it such a short cycle, usually get to CD27. I do think I ovulated CD12 tho which is earlier than normal. Had sore nipples pretty much since then but finally started easing last night.

Should get 2nd blood test result tomorrow so at least I'll know for sure if I ovulated then see where we go from there. Going to have to break the news to OH about going for SA.

Not holding out much hope for next cycle if AF comes in next few days OH will be away at end of FW if same as this cycle.

Sorry to hear that @Eli707. What are your temps normally before ovulation? Anything over 36.4 has normally signalled ovulation for me and 36.6 is quite high for me, but obviously everyone is different!! Actually you will have got blood test results now so probably don’t need to speculate about temperatures! Did your blood test show you had ovulated? Are you going to do a test if so or wait until when AF should be due? Hope you’re doing ok.
