Bit late to the party but ttc number 1, first cycle...1DPO (afik) any tips appreciated and I wish you all lots of luck!

Aries491 · 16/09/2021 07:53

Hey all! Not checked in in a while so thought I'd see how everyone is getting on :)

Lovely to hear @HRP1990 ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

@Eli707 hope you get some clarity from the blood test results lovely and i do hope you're doing okay, ttc can be hard on us so look after yourself ๐Ÿ’œ

Welcome @JonSnowsCloak hope the tww isn't too bad for you and you can distract yourself :)

I am currently cd26 and AF is due between Sunday and Tuesday so going to see if she arrives if not will test next week ๐Ÿ™ƒ hope everyone else is okay? Xx

KayL1988 · 16/09/2021 07:59

Quick check in again... still watching the chat in here from the sidelines!

Ahhh so happy for you @HRP1990 bet you feel so relieved!

Hope you enjoyed your roast @MrsBiddy and maybe had some dessert for bd energy!

@AppleTree16 hopefully it was just one strange cycle and next month will be much more normal. How interesting the covid jab messed up your cycle!

@Eli707 let us know how blood test goes. Any update to your temp or AF watch today?

Welcome @JonSnowsCloak! The only wait is awful now, have you been ovulation testing or anything?

Eli707 · 16/09/2021 20:13

@Mrsspoon3 my temp varies a lot 36.1-36.8 usually. Still going down - 36.3 today - still spotting but no AF yet. At least I've now made it to end of CD25.

Rang two days in a row to get blood results but told both time to ring back tomorrow as the gp hadn't made any notes about the result to pass on. Today I get a message to make an phone appointment - earliest was the 30th!! So who knows what she wants to say to me ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ - just another torturous TWW!

Sparklingwine1 · 17/09/2021 06:51

Hi ladies,

Eurgh I've had a bit of a stressful TWW this cycle - probably the most up and down one I've had since TTC. AF was one day late and I had spotting a few days before AF was due so got my hopes up this month thinking I may have had implantation bleeding. However AF arrived this morning. I have horrendous cramps and serious PMS which is making me cry on and off for no real reason other than period hormones!

We found out the other day that DH's friend is in intensive care with COVID and they are not sure he will make it (he has two young children and a wife โ˜น๏ธ). Somehow knowing this has really changed my perspective these past few days and just made me so grateful for what I do have - a wonderful DH, gorgeous doggy, our health and a roof over our heads. So instead of feeling disappointed I do just feel incredibly grateful this month. I think it can be so easy when TTC to lose sight of what's in front of us โค๏ธ Onwards and upwards for the next cycle! I think I'm still going to track this next cycle as I am really quite enjoying building up a good picture of my cycle - especially as this was my second month temping the whole month.

How is everyone else doing? Anybody got any nice weekend plans? We are away this weekend at a seaside resort so I'm looking forward to getting some fresh air and reading my book.

X

Eli707 · 17/09/2021 07:52

That's so awful about your friend in hospital @Sparklingwine1 I hope he does recover. We've lost both my husband's parents in the last few years and it really does give you a different perspective on life x

AF arrived for me this morning too which means FW is going to be smack in the middle of OH's work trip so not holding out much hope this cycle. We're away for the weekend too so fingers crossed for some sunshine.

Happy Friday everyone x

AppleTree16 · 17/09/2021 17:52

Thank you! No news yet. AF is still making her presence known..!

MrsBiddy · 18/09/2021 08:35

4 DPO! Finally OvuSense has said I ovulated on CD26 but we only managed to dtd on CD20 โ˜น๏ธ Donโ€™t think it will be this month but itโ€™s on my first cycle I have been tracking so happy that I can understand it next month

When is the earliest you can test? Xxx

Wishing you all baby dust xx ๐Ÿ˜˜

๐Ÿง™please, fellas impregnate, Iโ€™m here to ovulate ๐Ÿฆฅ

Sparklingwine1 · 18/09/2021 08:57

That's great news @MrsBiddy and even better news is that you had watery CM and EWCM before ovulation so next time that will make it easier to know when to DTD as it's a sign ovulation is round the corner! You can test from about 8DPO but chances of a positive showing that early are small. I think most people normally test around 11 or 12 DPO.

Thanks @Eli707 and sorry to hear about your DH's parents. That's annoying that your FW clashes with you DH worktrip. I've had a few cycles now where it's been hard to DTD on the right days due to us staying away or having family over. Even this next cycle we have 3 days where DH's parents are staying with us so can't DTD.

Mrsspoon3 · 18/09/2021 09:49

Lovely to hear from you @KayL1988! How are you getting on??

I canโ€™t believe theyโ€™re making you wait so long @Eli707! I think GPs have been pretty awful since Covid. I hope it goes quickly for you and you have things to distract you until then, and hope you get some helpful answers when you go for your appointment.

@Sparklingwine1 So sorry to hear about your DHโ€™s friend. I hope that he does recover. Hope youโ€™re doing OK.

Hope you all have lovely weekends x

Eli707 · 19/09/2021 07:27

Unfortunately @Mrsspoon3 waiting two weeks for a non-urgent appointment was pretty standard at our gp even before covid!! Trying not to stress about it but is making me worry why they didn't just give me the result over the phone.

Aries491 · 19/09/2021 08:28

Hi everyone!

@Sparklingwine1 I am so sorry to hear you've had a tough time and hope DHs friend pulls through. Sending lots of love ๐Ÿ’˜

@Eli707 so annoying you have to wait so long lovely. I hope you have had a nice weekend away and got some sunshine.

Well I have some news ladies...got my BFP yesterday so bought another test for this morning lol! I can't quite believe it I was shaking when showing the test to my OH! Dates would put me about 5 weeks today give or take :) annoyingly got to go try on bridesmaid dresses today but don't feel comfortable telling anyone (apart from family) this early, let's pray alterations can be done!!

Mrsspoon3 · 19/09/2021 08:29

@Eli707 I know itโ€™s easy for someone else to say and probably doesnโ€™t bring much comfort, but even if there were any issues with the levels of hormones on those tests they are all things that can most likely be sorted very easily and non-invasively. I know people who have had low progesterone where this has been treated and they have gone on to have successful pregnancies, and several people where tests have shown they werenโ€™t ovulating so they had treatment (Clomid) and are now mums. I know itโ€™s worrying and not what you would want, but hopefully itโ€™s something that can be sorted very, very quickly if there are any issues. Hope you have some fun things planned to help the time go fast in the meantime.

Mrsspoon3 · 19/09/2021 08:30

Congratulations @Aries491!!! So happy for you! Amazing news!! ๐Ÿ˜Š

HRP1990 · 19/09/2021 11:11

Congratulations @Aries491!! โค๏ธ Thatโ€™s great news!

Aries491 · 19/09/2021 15:12

Thanks so much @Mrsspoon3 and @HRP1990 how are you both doing? ๐Ÿ˜Š

Sparklingwine1 · 20/09/2021 08:10

@Aries491 yay! sending you massive congrats! ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰ I didn't check MN yesterday as I was away for the weekend and this was wonderful news to catch up on this morning!
How are you feeling about it? Has it sunk in?
Xx

HRP1990 · 20/09/2021 08:29

Oo when is the wedding @Aries491? Fingers crossed itโ€™s something stretchy! ๐Ÿ˜‚ joking.

Iโ€™m good thanks! Happy to be past the 12 week mark and can start enjoying things now.

How was your weekend away @Sparklingwine1?

Aries491 · 20/09/2021 09:26

Thanks so much @Sparklingwine1 :) it kinda has and hasn't haha my parents were over the moon and telling the OHs parents tonight over tea. I've just self referred myself to the NHS Trust here so all feeling real!! I'm all a bit emotional and working from home by myself today as well!!

Haha @HRP1990 it's in April so I'd be 8 months give or take maybe. She's wanting very floaty maxi dresses which go in under the bust then float down. I'm planning on telling her once I've had Dr's app etc and a bit further along and will give options of either stepping down if she doesn't want a preggers bridesmaid or ill fund all alterations etc :)

Glad to hear you're doing okay and enjoying it more now :) I can't wait to tell more people haha xx

KayL1988 · 20/09/2021 10:21

So sorry to hear about your friend @Sparklingwine1, must be a very stressful time! How was your trip to the seaside?

Urgh so sorry your having to wait @Eli707 - its so frustrating particularly when you know it's a couple of weeks out of another cycle.

@Mrsspoon3 lovely to see you too! I'm doing okay, have my 20 week scan in a few weeks which is exciting!!!

Congrats @Aries491 great news ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฅฐ I'm sure you'll figure something out for Bridesmaid dress if she's happy for a pregnant bridesmaid. I think it looks beautiful ๐Ÿ˜

@MrsBiddy congrats on ovulation! I had my first positive at 9DPO (when I was really dehydrated), but I think 10/11 DPO is a safer time to start testing. Fingers crossed ๐Ÿคž

KayL1988 · 20/09/2021 10:22

@Mrsspoon3 sorry for some reason my message cut off! How you getting on?? Xxx

Aries491 · 20/09/2021 14:35

Thanks so much @KayL1988 :) can't believe it's your 20 week scan in a few weeks. How are you finding pregnancy?

I'm sure she will be fine she's a close friend so I Will tell her soon but yesterday there was friends family extended family etc all round to see dress try on so I was just thinking it wasn't a good time lol xxx

KayL1988 · 21/09/2021 11:27

Completely understandable @Aries491 - how you feeling??

I know it's going really quickly!! I'm feeling okay thanks, I've started decluttering the house but holding off buying baby stuff until after 20 weeks (though i did buy a cute sleep suit to make it feel more real!).

Still checking in on this thread a lot! Xx

Aries491 · 21/09/2021 14:22

@KayL1988 I'm feeling good, definitely more tired than usual and still got like stretchy cramps type thing on and off and nauseous in mornings now I barely touch brekkie but other than that pretty good, happy and excited!

So quickly! I bet once I have my booking in app things will start to move. When was yours out of interest? I self referred to the team here so just waiting on them now :)

Awww bet it's hard to resist buying all the cute stuff. My OH is off to old Trafford this weekend for the match and has already said he's getting a man u babygrow ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Are you finding out the sex or having a surprise? Xxx

Dr04 · 22/09/2021 17:35

Hi ladies, new here and this seemed like a very supportive group. Just wondering if anyone has attempted SI here, and any success stories. DH has performance anxiety and we re trying SI but somehow feel very low that it's not going to happen for us
