New thread for us to continue our fertility clinic appointment progress...

Some of us are waiting for initial appointments, some are having tests and some are starting treatment!

@Tillybabs had to get a second BFN today just for good measure. I knew what it would be but taking the tests is annoying. Oh well, now I wait for AF and call the clinic up to try again.

@dogmam I’m sorry to hear you are going through this.. I hope the time goes quickly and you can do your next FET soon. Thank you for the info too.

I’ve been very bloated since taking the Cetrotide too… the cramps come and go too.

@Tillybabs I hope you were ok taking your first Cetrotide last night.

@thislittlebird I’m sorry for the bfn- they don’t get any easier but one cycle closer to IVF.

@Tillybabs yes it is a bigger needle and my belly feels more tender too… mentally I do find that one harder that the Gonal F - I’ve had so much ewcm it’s crazy! I have to keep going to the loo! Keep thinking I’m about to ovulate as the cramps are bad too! I know I won’t but feels like I am!

@thislittlebird I hate taking the tests too especially when you know in your heart of hearts but have a little hope.

@Lori23TTC yes I'm the same, so much ewcm! I'm not looking forward to tonight's cetrotide injection lol

@Tillybabs oh me too - I’m taking mine at 7pm. I hate that you have to mix it up too - feels like such a faff - but it will be worth it if this works ❤️ Exciting you will know when EC is after tomorrow!

An update from me - we went to the ivf clinic for a scan and SA and had the follow up with the consultant after. We've been approved for ivf. I'm assuming it's long protocol and they've advised ICSI (nhs, one cycle). So we've got to fill out all the paperwork and can start as soon as we can. Which all seems very real!

@paintfairy that's great news! Things should start to move quickly for you now.

Just had my scan and they think my EC might be Friday eeek. Got another scan on Wednesday

I have a bit if a dilemma... I had my floof scan today (1st cycle of clomid, CD15) and it showed I had a nice thick lining... but I had three large follicles:
R: 21cm, 15.5cm
L: 14.5cm

She said anything over 14cm was a risk for producing and egg during ovulation, which (based on 21cm follicle) Is likely to be within 24 hours. So I could release 3 eggs... and risk triplets.

Obviously I don't want triplets but I also don't want to waste a cycle, and tbh we have DTD twice in the last three days already 😅 she suggested I reign it in a bit on the sex front, but I'm just not do sure.

What would you do?

She did also say that not all follicles produce eggs and not all my follicles will necessarily pop one out... so I might just pop the 21cm egg anyway 🤔

@Kay00 for my iui I had 2 big ones and a smaller one the first time, and 2 decent ones the second time. I had to sign to say I was happy with the risk of twins. But none of it worked! So go for it I would say.
What breed are the puppies?

It's all depending on you risk appetite! I follow a lady on instagram who has triplets exactly due to this situation lol. She said what were the odds of all three releasing, fertilising, implanting and not miscarrying!

Personally I'd risk it as I think the odds are really low...

@Tillybabs eeekkk not long now - I have my appointment tomorrow to find out when EC is! I do think this past week or so has gone quickly tho which is good.

@Kay00 wow that is a dilemma but I would go for it if it was me - I actually want twins so I would risk it to have 3 🙈

I'm not even convinced I ovulated this cycle, who knows if any came out. Who here has been on progesterone and how long did it delay your period after you stopped it? I'm trying to work out when to expect AF.

Hi everyone
I've got a phone appointment with gp on Thurs to discuss day 21 progesterone test. I can only imagine she's going to say it's low or they would have just told me it's fine when I rang for results. She seems a bit clueless (so am I to be fair but she is the trained professional) so I'm just wonder if there's any other tests I should be asking her for prior to fertility clinic appointment (which isn't until Feb)? Still considering private MOT but want to see how much I can get done for free having seen the cost of it all privately. What did everyone else manage to get done by gp? Thanks x

@Eli707 have you had anything else done at all? They're meant to give you a day 3 blood test too to check quite a number of things, plus your OH should be having a semen analysis done. I also had an ultrasound before they referred me to the fertility clinic.

Hi @Eli707, just wanted to echo what Juno said, I had day 3 bloods done (this checks loads of things, and as a result I was put on some super strength vitamin D tablets, and I now take a supplement on top of whats in prenatals as that was only keeping my levels at 40!) and the GP arranged for my husbands SA as well (there was a 6 week wait for us for this). Mine didnt arrange an ultrasound but I had one for some spotting a month before so they sent the results of this to the fertility clinic too just for info (was clear, my body just likes to spot?!).

In hindsight, part of me wishes we'd had the preliminaries done privately because it would have been so much quicker, but I also think having the time (while hard) was helpful to give us space to think and process, plus I'm not sure whether you can have the initial things privately then switch back for treatment on the NHS, or if it would make it much quicker (always worth a thought though!) X

@Lori23TTC I haven't had cramps but the past 2 day my boobs are so sore!

@Tillybabs so I have a few more eggs that are big now so I’m hoping to get around 12. They said there is still time for the smaller ones to catch up. I have to go for a blood test tomorrow and egg Collection is booked for Friday morning. I have my last Gonal F tonight with the Cetrotide then tomorrow it’s Cetrotide and Ovitrelle later in the evening then no injections on Thursday. We could both be there on Friday!!

@Lori23TTC that's great! Sounds like everything is going as planned. I remember you said you had about 10 so fab that more are growing.

I bet you can't wait to stop injecting. I know I can't 😂
