Breaking banjos, poking boobs & getting promoted πŸ™ŒπŸ»it’s TTC bus 44

Wow that last one was a quick one! The bus driver nearly missed the bus!🏎🚌

Here is the bus where anything goes, and chat isn’t just TTC it’s anything. Ranting very much encouraged to her things off your (are they sore boobs?!) chest. The last bus had loads of work promotions too & we’ve still got interviews so hopefully it’s a lucky bus in more ways than just making babies.

We are here to help and support each other & anything goes. We’ve had losses, heartache & some super fertile short ride passengers so welcome all.

The price of your bus pass is an embarrassing story please, doesn’t have to go be TTC related but can you beat breaking a guy’s banjo in a BJ or whilst DTD?! πŸ€žπŸ»πŸ™ŒπŸ»

And if you see mention of my blog then blame these guys, but I need to carry on with it it, I’ve been lazy! #shamelessplug

Oh I hate the carrot dangling @bez91 - is there scope for some sort of pay rise/promotion where you are? Don't worry about preggers, it doesn't preclude you from being the boss!!

Start date is mid September. Sort of doing hangovers this week although still not better so taking it very easy....then I'll be on sort of unofficial gardening leave πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

Vil10 · 15/07/2021 09:44

@becarefuloutthere Thankyou!! Is it always a case of having to wait until you've been trying for 2 years before getting any kinda help?

@Franklydear definitely sounds like the perfect school! So glad you like it!

@bez91 me and OH had a chat last night and just said we'll try and not get caught up on waiting times and just take it as it comes and hope in the mean time it happens for us! Oooo she's definitely enticing you there!! I'd maybe weigh up your options and pro's/cons and decide if you'd like to be the boss where you are now, you'll come to the right decision for you lovely x

So, when we decided to move we originally wanted to rent out the house we're in now (it's OH's first house he bought on his own 7 years ago so means a lot to him, and I love it too) but because of the high house prices now we are considering selling it, anyway we said we'd get it valued and then go from there and decide what we want to do, rang up the local estate agents who we've dealt with when we've gone to look at houses, turns out I know the guy who does the house valuations in our area....does anyone remember my story about the guy who went down on me and had a nose bleed....IT'S HIM!!!! Honestly I was howling, told OH it was that guy and he found it hilarious

becarefuloutthere · 15/07/2021 09:50

@Vil10 nope, if there's something noticeably wrong then you don't have to wait 2 years. 2 years is only when it's unexplained.

Minster2012 · 15/07/2021 10:05

Morning ladies!

@Vil10 that's so funny! Are you getting him out to value it?!

@bez91 would you consider saying to them "I think the other job seems the same challenge without as much stress?" Take TTC out of your mind as we've said no bloke would consider that

@larrythelizard read what you've put..."doing hangovers" πŸ˜‚πŸ€£and yeyyyy for them chilling!

@feliznavidad2 time goes slower in TWW. Fact. 🀞🏻

So at our lovely glamping pod & after some hot sex before eating last night we actually both fell asleep early, rock n roll! Breakfast outside this morning & it's fab

After my short cycle last month CB told me to start POAS this morning on CD7! So this month no doubt I'll be peeing away a lot of money & seeing joker flashing smiles for ages. There was still a smear of spotting after sex last night & today I've got a weird pain in my side. Ooooo the fun of "what the hell is my body doing?"

@vil10 omg. That's hilarious, what are the chances?!!!

So. Update on doggo - vet rang me ten mins after I'd dropped him in, they don't want him to be castrated as he is very nervous around new people and they think castrating him will make him 1000000x worse. So they want to leave him and see how it goes. I don't particularly mind, saves me Β£200!

bez91 · 15/07/2021 10:16

@larrythelizard not really at the moment until someone retires, a lot of dinosaurs. If I was to wait it out for someone to retire and go for their job it wouldn't be for the money, as much as it would be nice to earn more we're not desperate for it although I want to progress. Though saying that one child is obviously cheaper than two! Wahooo, that's fab - how did you wangle the gardening leave? Go you!

@Vil10 that's hilarious, whose going to be present for the valuation πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

@Minster2012 you are right about the TTC out the equation but in the same sense that's why I want less stress πŸ˜† sounds good πŸ† what's your joker smiley record? Think you can beat it this month? I think my record is 8 which you smashed which coincided with me not actually ovulating so I'm not a big fan of CB anymore as I seem to have multiple peaks πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

GuessHowMuch · 15/07/2021 10:20

@larrythelizard I had exactly the same thoughts yesterday - Oooh sore boobs! Perhaps this is it. Promptly checked my FF app and had all the same symptoms last cycle πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ FFS.

@feliznavidad2 I’m the same DPO as you; cheering you on and hoping the spotting starts behaving itself.

larrythelizard · 15/07/2021 10:54

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ possibly a similar state of productivity to be fair @Minster2012!! No I reckon this cycle will be more normal for you. I got 14 smiler jokers the cycle before I stopped tracking (one of the reasons I stopped, all too much for me!)

@feliznavidad2 definitely slower in the TWW. Like the opposite of time going super fast when you snooze your alarm in the morning.

Oh bless your little dog @Kirky658 sounds like the vet really has your best interests at heart.

Ooh cycle buddies @feliznavidad2 and @GuessHowMuch πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ

You should get your OH to make a few subtle references @Vil10!

Ah yeah dead man's shoes @bez91 annoying. It's not official gardening leave but I do sales and I'm going to a competitor so πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Minster2012 · 15/07/2021 10:58

@bez91 just keep casually saying you want a new challenge then πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ I've had a cycle with 11 flashing smiles and I gave up (non ovulationary) so I guess that was right & then after miscarriage i stuck with it to 17 flashing smiles but during that one I did get a peak on the cheap ICs so I know what you mean, albeit a low peak. The only cycle where I've got a static was the one I got pregnant on so I'm gonna keep using them & hope.

OP posts:
Minster2012 · 15/07/2021 11:00

@larrythelizard πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚you can be that productive before you move on, it's earned right? Yeah the jokers are annoyingly frustrating but cos my cycles are all screwed I'm desperately clinging on to the hope they might show me stuff

OP posts:
Kirky658 · 15/07/2021 11:08

@larrythelizard absolutely and I'm very grateful to them for it. He lives to be a man another day πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Somatronic · 15/07/2021 12:19

Hi All. Finally got my first vaccine. Pfizer. Can I expect my period to be delayed? I'm kind of on a watch cos I need to get a Hycosy done before my appointment with the fertility clinic on 10th August and I have to schedule that for after arrival of my period so was just wondering.

I remember it being mentioned in this thread several times that the jab can delay your period.

paintfairy · 15/07/2021 12:40

@Vil10 that's hilarious. Of all the people you hope to never see again!
And no. IVF wait is 2 years for unexplained. But if there's a reason you can have IVF earlier. And they'll also do other things earlier. I'm not at 2 years yet and I've had the IUI. Agree though to have no expectations, then you won't be disappointed. 🀣

I'm currently sat at the very busy hospital waiting to have my day 21 blood test done. So much for nipping in my lunch break! πŸ™„

Vil10 · 15/07/2021 12:47

@becarefuloutthere ohh okay! I always thought you had to wait 2 years, you know when you just have a feeling that something will be wrong

@Minster2012 how funny!! Well he's the only guy from there who does it!! So I think soπŸ˜‚ your glamping weekend sounds lovely, I'm jealous!!

@Kirky658 I know!! I had no idea he even worked thereπŸ˜‚ aw your little doggy, bless him!!

@bez91 well the plan was for both of us to be but I'm not sure I want to be around for itπŸ˜‚

@larrythelizard he said he was going to!! Said he'd say "listen if you add an extra 10k onto the valuation I won't take the piss out of you or tell anyone about you having a nose bleed" πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

@Somatronic I haven't had it so can't say from personal experience but I have a few friends who have had theirs delayed, one friend hasn't had her period since having the jab😩

@paintfairy when I get the message ".... can come round and do it for you", my face just droppedπŸ˜‚ ohhh that's good, I always thought it was a 2 year wait no matter what!! How long has it been for you sorry?

paintfairy · 15/07/2021 13:04

@Vil10 mortifying! 🀣
I went after a year. Referral took ages but only because gp was useless. I first saw a gp coming up to 2 years in September. But my first fertility appointment was February. First IUI was April, after my HSG etc in March.

paintfairy · 15/07/2021 13:34

@Vil10 that makes no sense. 🀣 Saw the gp last September is what I meant. So this one will be my 2 year mark.

kaylsd · 15/07/2021 18:08

been abit of a silent passenger as I'm still wearing my long cycle cyster t shirt πŸ‘š I feel like I've been lurking under the seats of the bus on this thread.. cycle day 72 and no signs of my ovaries serving any purpose other than for decorative use at the moment πŸ€”πŸ€£ thank goodness that my first ever fertility appointment is just at the end of the month to get the show back on the road with my TTC journey πŸ₯° hope your all okay lovely ladies xx

InkyPaper · 15/07/2021 19:25

@Vil10 yeah, like the others said it's not always a 2 year wait. I went to my GP after a year, got the referral and now we're going straight for IVF

@becarefuloutthere we are hopefully getting it funded, yeah. We meet the criteria at least, but I don't wanna assume it's happening until it happens!

@bez91 carrot dangling is the worst. A few years ago now I had a company do that to me, spent a whole year working my arse off then got told I was never getting it anyway. Can't do anything with a carrot you can never reach.

@kaylsd hurray for your first appointment! Boo for the long cycle. Hope you're otherwise OK

InkyPaper · 15/07/2021 19:28

I'm feeling better about IVF. It's not exactly what I wanted but if it gets us a baby at the end then it's all worth it, right?

Mumlili9 · 15/07/2021 20:01

@larrythelizard you use them around 7dpo to check for progesterone so confirming ovulation. The difference is a positive is one line and a negative is two.

kaylsd · 15/07/2021 20:33

@InkyPaper plodding like I do sweet! Just had a little scroll back, I hope your feeling okay in terms of the suggestion of IVF being the best route? Can I ask when you went to your first appointment did your OH have more than one SA for them to be so focused on their decision for IVF being the best route for you guys?
I'm just worried because my hubs SA was borderline with motility at 32 and slightly low morphology at 3% but he wasn't aware of the best test is between 3-5 days abstinence only as his was longer as I was bleeding lots πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆand he's been taking proxceed everyday since and I really would like to see if his numbers has gotten better from taking that before they make any firm decisions on our treatment route

InkyPaper · 15/07/2021 21:18

@kaylsd I am feeling better about it all, thanks. It was a bit of a shock at first but it's good that things are progressing 😊 so my DH had two done as the first came back with a lower than expected result so they called and asked him to do another one, which we found out the results of (top line, no details) at our fertility appointment. I thought we'd end up repeating tests but the doctor was happy with what has already been done, so we've just got new ones to come soon. Apparently we'll be getting a load of info through the post soon! If your OH has only done one, they should ask for a repeat to confirm the results

kaylsd · 15/07/2021 21:57

@InkyPaper thank you for the little insight hunny has reassured me a little bit that we may have another go at a new SA! Hopefully once your paperwork has been sent off and approved by the CCG it'll be a quick process to start on your IVF journey, I know depending on your area it can be a matter of weeks starting rather than months so hopefully it's a similar case for you guys :)

paintfairy · 15/07/2021 23:03

@InkyPaper I was watching virgin river (terrible netflix series 🀣) the other day and there was a really good quote. It isn't much about babies tbh but one lady asked the other if she'd consider having a baby again one day (previously miscarried late) and she said she hadn't really thought about it but wasn't sure if she could anyway. And her reply was (something along the lines of) we all have options. They may not be the ones we would choose for ourself, or how we envisaged it being when we were younger, but we do have options, it just depends how bad you want something.

Which is really pretty accurate? I mean there's never any guarantee and we know that. But for most people there are options if we are brave enough to take them? Its just getting your head around that it wasn't how you planned it in your head.

feliznavidad2 · 15/07/2021 23:04

Good luck with your first appointment @kaylsd

Thanks @GuessHowMuch
how are you feeling? I'm not holding out much hope for a BFP, although the spotting started a bit later than last months at 4 days post ovulation which I guess is a bit of a win. Ain't nothing gonna stick if I keep spotting my cycle away. 😠 πŸ˜”

Ahh your dogs been able to stay intact! What a very thoughtful vet. @Kirky658 and bonus on saving the money too!

Glamping (sex) pod sounds amazing @Minster2012 - enjoy! How long are you there for?

So ladies of more knowledge than myself, it's only been three months TTC (four months off pill) here and I know that's very early days
but this post ovulation spotting is really bothering me as there's no way (I wouldn't think) that anything can implant if I start shedding my lining straight away.

I know I've got stage 4 endo (or atleast I did in 2013 when I had a laproscopy and a huge ovarian cyst removed). I don't know whether I need to seek GP advice sooner rather than later as if my endo is back again then TTC might be futile until that's under control again?! Any thoughts?
