Wow that last one was a quick one! The bus driver nearly missed the bus!🏎🚌

Here is the bus where anything goes, and chat isn’t just TTC it’s anything. Ranting very much encouraged to her things off your (are they sore boobs?!) chest. The last bus had loads of work promotions too & we’ve still got interviews so hopefully it’s a lucky bus in more ways than just making babies.

We are here to help and support each other & anything goes. We’ve had losses, heartache & some super fertile short ride passengers so welcome all.

Newbie here 🙋‍♀️
Had my contraceptive implant removed on 2/7/21, was told to wait until after first visit from AF… That was the plan however we may have slipped up a few times already 🤦‍♀️
It’s been 11 years with no AF while implants were in but beforehand AF only visited once every 2/3 months.
I get lost when reading posts about ovulation tests etc, will probably give it a few months before looking into those.
Me and OH both on ttc vitamins, any dos/donts we should be aware of while ttc?

@dmb91 hello welcome! My advice for starting out would be to enjoy it and not track obsessively in the beginning. Just know your fertile window and concentrate your efforts there! Good luck 🤞🏾

@Tornado2Inc I was exactly the same!! Hated the thought of it, only ever stayed in a tent at festivals, but OH bought a van and we have a bed for the back, so we just attached an awning to the side of the van for everything and to get changed in etc, and I loved it! Definitely planning more trips soon x

5dpo here. No spotting still. 🙏🏻 Lower abdomen cramps and a bit of an achey back earlier but not sure if it's all in my head

@paintfairy apparently a squarer head is more boy and rounder is a girl? Plus nub theory but I can't see the nubs unless they're super obvious. Yeah I'm so happy for no more scans for a while. Me and the oh had a bit of a row as he hates that me getting upset puts a downer on what should be a happy day. I get it, I do and wish it wasn't the case and I'm trying my hardest to be strong but I'm just can't help getting upset. He's apologised now and we're all good...men!

Hello everyone hope its OK to join you. I've a very long story that I will not bore you with. Short version is 8 miscarriages and 1 ectopic with tubal loss. Last pregnancy was ectopic in Feb 2020 , no pregnancy since. Im 39 , 40 in September. I've had so many tests but nothing ever found, I suspect I'm entering peri menopause but I cant get the NHS fertility consultant to actually keep an appointment, he makes one but then cancels it or moves it to a later date. Been trying to get through NHS appointments since October 2020. Been trying for a baby since 2018 but lady luck hasn't been on my side.

Embarrassing story from me - when I went for my last internal ultrasound ( fertility testing) I had my first ever male sonographer and my very first ever ( please excuse the term) extremely loud fanny fart. Which inturn produced a fit of giggles from me, which then increased the embarrassment by making me do a real fart. Needless to say there wasn't much small talk during the half hour scan.

Found out the job I'm applying for it's quite political so things aren't really on my side 🙄 another lady covering a secondment for maternity leave (actually quite pally with her) can't go back to her substantive post because they "accidentally" gave the person doing her job a permanent contact 😂 so basically this role created gets them out the shit by giving it to her. It's all same grade stuff, maybe she'd like to do my job 🤦🏼‍♀️

@Minster2012 I will get some pics for sure! Hmm I don't know...yesterday I thought maybe boy off the scan photo but I may be wrong and I have really thought twin girls but maybe it was a boy and a girl and I lost the girl as my nausea hasn't been the same since the loss. We find out 29th August but my son and OH are desperate for a boy and of course I'll love it regardless.

@Manifestingbaby thank you. It's just so hard as I'm tainting my OH's first experience of having a baby and it's so hard as I don't want to be upset but I just can't help it. I've actually asked my midwife to refer me to the bereavement midwife this morning. The offered it to me last week but I feel now maybe I do need to speak to someone

@Kirky658 deffo something I'm looking forward to this week! Re the birth I felt like that with DS. I actually didn't do any antenatal classes or research. I just went into the birth a bit blind because I knew too much info would make me anxious but I was absolutely fine. Try not to over think it too much. In the grand scheme of things everything happens so quick and your body takes over plus the midwifes are amazing and so supportive

@crazydoglady123 tbh we've done the classes last weekend so not too worried about the birth per se... I'm scared about the unlocking on the 19th and subsequent potential changes to the maternity ward rules etc. I'm also worrying as DH works 45 mins away and has to get home and drive me to the hospital and not sure when I'd need to phone him. Just being a massive worry arse basically!

@Kirky658 I wouldn't worry too much about getting to hospital on time with a first birth I think it takes at least a day from the start of labour to actually delivering for first timers 😅 not looking forward to that

@Minster2012 glad your birthday remains only your birthday 😆 although I am sorry England lost I can imagine any of you who are football fans (or have husbands that are) didn't enjoy that! It's expected for Scottish folk to support England's opponent as England are Scotland's rivals. The racism and booing from a minority of England football fans too makes it easier to not support

@Crazydoglady123 lovely scan picture! I'm sorry about the twin it must be tough knowing baby is still in there and the sonographers are having to try and hide it from you making scans even more upsetting. Don't feel guilty about being upset for your husband. I'm sure it will get a little easier with time but it's perfectly normal for you to grieve and feel this way right now. Take your time

@crazydoglady123 just seen your announcement, beautiful ❤️ can't imagine how difficult that scan must have been for you. I also have an anterior placenta, didn't start feeling movement till around 19 weeks and proper kicks about 24 weeks. She's currently got hiccups as I type. 🤣

So still hoping that my holiday to Greece with my sister and mum is going to go ahead, eas supposed to be this month but we moved it to 9th august, currently it's on the amber list so I need it to move to green!! We go to the same town every year us 3 and have done for the last 4 years, parents are looking at a house over there which would make perfect sense the amount of time they spend over there, so as you can imagine I'm dying to be there right now!! Also the aim is to lose 11lbs ish before I go, mission huge deficit is a go!!

@Crazydoglady123 difficult! Although I can see where he's coming from, as its your first baby together, and you want it to be some magical time, you can't change what happened either and just choose not to be upset about it. I think talking to someone is a good idea. It might help you work through it in your own mind. Men never quite grasp stuff anyway. 🙄
@becarefuloutthere yeah it's OK. Just frustrating. And painful when you turn it on a way it doesn't go. 🤣 I bet no pessaries is a relief? Bloody things!
@Minster2012 DH actually asked last night when I would know (in a strange manner that I had no idea what he was on about 🤣). But we aren't even half way through yet quite. I'm keeping busy though and its going OK. Boobs starting to hurt now. I just don't enjoy any of the symptoms you get. Not looking forward to a 3rd go and god knows how people cope with ivf drugs. 🙈 It really upsets my stomach.

@Minster2012 the pods sound ace, I love North Yorkshire! Yes like the sound of the new job, no stress. My manager basically rang me and said wtf is going on, aren't you happy, do you need more support blah blah blah. I'm not giving anything away. He said don't you think it's a bit beneath you and you're selling yourself short. I said no not really when it's on the same grade as I'm on now.
Basically loads less stress which I think I need right now, yes much less technical but I get paid the same so that's not my problem 🤷‍♀️

@Crazydoglady123 that sounds sensible seeing the bereavement midwife. It must be even harder to process your grief because I suppose you feel under pressure to be in a good way for your baby 💕 very brave of you though, I keep pondering over counselling offered to me for the 3 MCs

Yeah @bez91 there's a 6 month probationary period that I wouldn't want to give them an excuse for. Takes a bit longer than that for maternity benefits to kick in but less worried about that. It's shit but life right? I

wailed to DH to last night was I putting a job before a baby and he gently pointed out there was no baby...!

But anyway no going back, have formally handed in my notice/accepted the new job today. 😬

And I'm super EWCMy and clearly FW is in full swing. Feels such a waste of an egg!!

@Manifestingbaby I had a couple of internal and external ultrasounds but they didn’t seem too bothered, put me on the pill to try to regulate periods. As a 16yo at the time I was terrible at remembering to take it hence the implants for so many years 😂

@Kirky658 I'm sure you will get plenty of warning. First babies are usually slow. How far are you from the hospital? Maybe have a plan b in place of meeting there.

@bez91 can you get anything useful out of your manager now he knows you aren't content 🤔

@larrythelizard 😂there is no baby! Omg I'm sorry but makes me laugh how black and white men are. Like yes love I know, thanks for that 🙄 do you have to wait 6 months or maybe 3-4 so you cobe pregnant but not publicly so by the end of probation?

@dmb91 could be worth looking into again if you don't fall pregnant quickly. Maybe you will be more regular now though.

@vil10 just checking you're not fully vaccinated because if you are you can go to Greece without quarantining now?

@manifestingbaby yeah, we live a good 20-25 mins from the hospital so that adds more travel time lol. DH said well she could come overnight or at a weekend as well so that would be fine! I have severe anxiety and OCD so this is just my way of coping with a big change by being anxious!

@larrythelizard that's a really difficult one. I would say go with your gut on that. If you feel like the job would be better prospects then go for it, otherwise ttc comes first? I stopped applying for jobs when I found out I was pregnant and tbh wish I hadn't as I missed so many cool opportunities.

@Kirky658 ah I know, I was the same with my first. OH was working nearly an hour away and the hospital was an hour in the opposite direction. Lets just say I need not have worried, there was no rush on LO! I get it though I'm an anxious person. I overthink everything. Have you done your birth plan and packed your bag? Might help with the anxiety if you are tackling the practical stuff and have a to do list to be getting through.
