Wow that last one was a quick one! The bus driver nearly missed the bus!🏎🚌

Here is the bus where anything goes, and chat isn’t just TTC it’s anything. Ranting very much encouraged to her things off your (are they sore boobs?!) chest. The last bus had loads of work promotions too & we’ve still got interviews so hopefully it’s a lucky bus in more ways than just making babies.

We are here to help and support each other & anything goes. We’ve had losses, heartache & some super fertile short ride passengers so welcome all.

Good point actually @Manifestingbaby I think if I was early doors pregnant that would be OK. Going to focus on diet and improving the old eggs for the rest of 2021 - going to buy that book 'it starts with the egg'

I think my priority has to be my existing DS and a better life for him which a 120% pay rise can do instead of prioritising a hypothetical sibling @Kirky658. God I sound like a grown up - when did that happen?!

I'm another one @Kirky658 that had a long labour - did 48 hours at home before heading to hospital and even then was another 16 hours before he made an appearance.

Hey everyone, just had my first fertility appointment, doctor was very nice, she just dived straight in and told us our only option was IVF as I'm not ovulating and DH has a low sperm count. So yeah. Don't know quite how I feel really.

@larrythelizard it's hard when making life decisions. But you can't make decisions on what if, so I agree you just need to get on and do what's right for you.

@InkyPaper did you know you weren't ovulating? They can sort that. But not much you can do about poor SA. How bad is it?

It's ovulation day for me I think. Had near positive opks yesterday and this morning but I usually ovulate the day I get a peak. Had what I think is ovulation pain on my good side yesterday too, but Had a temp rise this morning so not sure now. Why can't we just buy another test we can pee on that says yes you ovulated, it would make this much easier.

@InkyPaper super emotional appointment im sorry your having a tough time. Can they not give you clomid or something to help you ovulate on your own. Then they could try iui to get good sperm from your DH. It's not ideal but I imagine a lot less painful than IVF. I've no experience of IVF but I heard the treatments can be harsh on your mental health. Sorry if I'm not being helpful.

@Manifestingbaby not really, we're all graded as we're practically public sector. It may give me some swaying power even if I don't get the job for the massive workload to be re-looked at for me if they think I might jump ship!

@Kirky658 this is probably unhelpful but I just looked at it what will be will be, they're coming out some way, I think just roll with it. If you have a ideal birthing plan just accepting it likely won't go the way you plan.

@InkyPaper oh, I suppose at the least she was open but like @paintfairy says have they not suggested something to help you ovulate to give you a chance at that before jumping in with IVF?

@larrythelizard I listened to the audio version of the book recently. It's a lot to take in but I really liked it, such an eye opener to just how many things could be wrong that would effect fertility. And also depressing that the NHS tests barely scratch the surface of what could be wrong in comparison. The biggest one for me was I always thought as you get older your stuck with your crappy older eggs and not a lot you could do about it, I didnt realise they stop in almost a semi hibernative state and you can actually improve them on their last leg before being released. It definitely gave me hope! I tried coq10 as a result this cycle and may be coincidence but I ovulated a few days earlier than my usual later ovulation so I'm hoping that's a good sign.

@InkyPaper sorry to hear you're feeling down after your appointment. Take a few days to digest the info. Are you up for trying the IVF?

I've been putting up lining paper in the livingroom all day getting it ready for painting, only the place now looks like a tornado has ripped thru it with furniture all over the place and nothing where it should be and it's one of those jobs you really wish you hadn't started 🙄

It'll probably take a bit of time to compute @InkyPaper - on one hand, atleast you know what the score is but in the real world, that's still a lot to take in. Sending a handhold.

@Mumlili9 I agree, we need to share this with the blimmin' scientists - what I'd pay to know (not estimate) if and when I ovulated each month.

@bez91 sounds like this interview could still lead to good things then, especially if you've already got your manager stressing about you going as you might be able to negotiate a workload reduction maybe?

@larrythelizard yay for the formal offer coming through 😄 I can imagine it does feel strange pausing TTC, but the new role does sound super exciting. We're definitely going to go for IVF, DH has some blood tests coming and I've got an ultrasound booked in a fortnight, so things are progressing at least! I think I need to do some serious research on it all though as I know next to nothing!

@paintfairy @Mumlili9 @bez91 I didn't know I wasn't ovulating - I've been getting what I thought was ewcm but the doctor was pretty confident I'm not. She was also really matter of fact that while they could try giving me drugs to make me ovulate, there's almost no chance DH has enough sperm to make it work. Ditto for IUI. She said IVF was our only option at this point.

@DKDK123 we're definitely going ahead with IVF. DH is pretty pleased that things are moving along. I think you're right, I just need to take some time and work out how I feel about it all. We're definitely going ahead with it but it was a lot to process.

Think the bloody (excuse the pun) spotting has started again here, I'm only 7DPO and got excited the first few months that it was implantation but think my body is just a bit messed up. 😖 🙄

Slight stitch pain on and off since 7dpo, bfn this morning 9dpo. Dare I still hope? Love the way there's always something new to string us along each cycle 🙄

So can I ask some questions please, now that we've got the ball rolling with the tests etc, once my bloods come back and OH has his sa, what next? Say if his sa is poor and something is wrong with me, what will they do? Or if it's just one of us, It's 17 months since coming off the pill for me

Not had my bloods yet, need to book them in for 7 days before my next af but because of my last cycle being messed up with covid I have no idea when my next af will be, so I'm stressing about it!! OH has his sa booked in, unfortunately there's a massive back log of apps so it's not until 4 weeks time! I've sent me swab off though so should get that back soon
