Breaking banjos, poking boobs & getting promoted πŸ™ŒπŸ»it’s TTC bus 44

Wow that last one was a quick one! The bus driver nearly missed the bus!🏎🚌

Here is the bus where anything goes, and chat isn’t just TTC it’s anything. Ranting very much encouraged to her things off your (are they sore boobs?!) chest. The last bus had loads of work promotions too & we’ve still got interviews so hopefully it’s a lucky bus in more ways than just making babies.

We are here to help and support each other & anything goes. We’ve had losses, heartache & some super fertile short ride passengers so welcome all.

The price of your bus pass is an embarrassing story please, doesn’t have to go be TTC related but can you beat breaking a guy’s banjo in a BJ or whilst DTD?! πŸ€žπŸ»πŸ™ŒπŸ»

And if you see mention of my blog then blame these guys, but I need to carry on with it it, I’ve been lazy! #shamelessplug

Well this is fun. Not. No internet at old house, they're it to new house but GUESS WHAT! Doesn't work there. It should do, oh yes talking to Plusnet it should do no reason why it doesn't. Except it doesn't.

Of course

Ffs

In the mean time AF outta the building ready for glamping πŸ™ŒπŸ»

Sorry I'm gonna be shit

@Vil10 Do you track ovulation? 7 days after that (assuming you have a 14 day lp) will be when you need the blood test. But it can take a couple of months to get that one right to be honest. Mine took forever because they were useless on top of that.
As to what they'll do- seems to vary with the weather. Both @Juno231 and I have unexplained infertility and the route taken has been different. So πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

Vil10 · 14/07/2021 11:03

@paintfairy I used to but haven't for the last few months but got opks again to start this cycle, going to start them tomorrow! My LP seemed to vary but my last 3 have been 14/15 days! So would you say I wait until I get my peak and ovulate then book my bloods for 7 days later? I just want to get it right😩 I guess I'll just need to wait and see what happens with the results first and not get ahead of myself! Thanks lovely x

2020mission · 14/07/2021 11:06

@Vil10 I'd expect the doctor will refer you to your nearest assisted conception unit and you'll get an appointment through, unless there's anything the GP themselves think they can give you to help first. The GPs don't seem to know much about fertility from my experience though so I'd assume it would be more likely a referral. My appointment came through for about 3 months after the referral was made. Can't share much on what the appointment was like but from reading others experiences on here it sounds like they go back to the beginning and get you to redo tests the GP did again. Thankfully never needed it in the end!

2020mission · 14/07/2021 11:08

@Vil10 how easy is it to book a specific day at your GP? You might be better to make an educated guess based on your average cycles and book the bloods in now and then watch for ovulation and call and move it slightly if needed later? I booked mines before I knew I ovulated. It was off and I ended up with the bloods a bit early at 5 DPO but it still showed I ovulated so all was fine.

paintfairy · 14/07/2021 11:15

@Vil10 yeah if they are approx 14 days then make an educated guess at 7 days. Its all a guess really and they are used to having to repeat it if it's wrong. It doesn't really matter if it's a day or so out either way. So just hope for the best! You kind of end up doing that every time really, because you only know if it was the right time once AF turns up.

DKDK123 · 14/07/2021 11:28

@feliznavidad2 we're going with dulux sapphire salute on one wall then can't decide between white or grey on the others. Just feel like a complete change as it's currently cookie dough and rustic feel so decided to flip it to a more modern scheme but scared I'm going to hate it once it's done.....can always change it back! A day of glossing and roof painting today then get the walls painted on Monday when DS is back at nursery as trying to do any decorating with him around just ends in twice the mess πŸ™ˆ If you've fallen in love with the wallpaper go for it as you'll never be happy with whatever else you put up as you'll always be comparing it to the one you loved.

@Manifestingbaby of course there's still hope! There's still hope till AF arrives, I definitely wouldn't read anything into a bfn at 9dpo, by around 11/12dpo if its still a bfn then I start to prepare myself for AF (but still cling onto the teeny slither of hope), but 9dpo nope def not worth losing any hope for that early!

@vil10 it really seems to vary by health board what they'll do if they find anything with your results, you'll be referred to a fertility clinic of some sorts who are more specialised than the GP and they'll take it from there. 4 weeks wait for SA consider good, I think DH was around 5/6months from referral to actually getting his! πŸ˜‚ Like everything ttc wise it's best just lower your expectations, expect everything to happen excruciatingly slowly even tho you want it to happen yesterday and you won't be too frustrated at the system. Then if you're lucky enough to be with an authority who are on the ball, get things done quickly and are very thorough then it's a welcome bonus 😊 I've given up with 'help' from 'professionals' mine have been anything but helpful, even with yours telling you to book your bloods for certain dates mine just booked me in 21 days after my period end of, didn't even care about my cycle length or when I actually ovulate, it says a lot really! πŸ™„ So yea I might just be rather cynical about help given my experiences but I'd say as it seems so varied around the country just go into it with low expectations and anything from there can only be a positive!

InkyPaper · 14/07/2021 12:18

@Manifestingbaby I say always hold on to hope!

@Mumlili9 thanks lovely

@Vil10 echoing what the others have said really, it seems to vary hugely depending on what area you're in. For me, after our tests were done and the SA came back we were sent straight to the Fertility Unit at the hospital. We had our first appointment yesterday, where the doctor reviewed everything and then started the ball rolling for IVF, so it can happen quite quickly, I guess? We were waiting about 2 months for our appointment.

@larrythelizard I'm not 100% on timelines. I've got my scan booked in in a fortnight but then DH has blood tests to do and we were warned one of them might take 3 months to come back so... really not sure.

Manifestingbaby · 14/07/2021 12:59

Thanks girls. In my head I know 9dpo is neither here nor there but I'm afraid to care or hope at this stage! This niggling little pain is pulling at my heartstrings and I'm afraid I'm in for a fall.

@Vil10 I'm afraid I'm echoing @DKDK123's cynical tone πŸ˜‚ I'm a full year since the first bloods with gp and none the f**cking wiser! I've had nothing but postponed and lost appointments so only been seen once at fertility clinic , all questions no answers yet! Hope you are luckier but ya reading on here it seems to vary vastly.

@InkyPaper you seem to have hit some sort of fertility highway! Full speed ahead. Great they are not hanging about but I can imagine it is a lot to absorb.

InkyPaper · 14/07/2021 13:31

@Manifestingbaby I know! I'm very suspicious πŸ˜‚ I suspect it'll all grind to a halt soon enough πŸ™ˆ

Vil10 · 14/07/2021 14:22

@2020mission @paintfairy @DKDK123 @InkyPaper @Manifestingbaby Thankyou so much ladies! I think it seems like it just completely depends on my gp and how they are with everything and also what the outcome of the bloods and SA are, hopefully we'll get them done pretty quickly but I'm just not going to expect much so that way I'm not disappointed!x

Mumlili9 · 14/07/2021 17:06

Ladies I've received my pdg tests and I'm impressed there's an app that reads them for you and everything.

How are you all today? I think I ovulated yesterday but going to bd tonight anyway just in case. Will know in 7 days for sure thanks to new tests, im actually thinking it will make the tww go quicker as I only have to wait 7 days before I can test for something lol

becarefuloutthere · 14/07/2021 17:30

@InkyPaper thank you 😊
Will you get funded for ivf? Hope so!

@Vil10 glad you're getting underway with tests! Very much depends on what's wrong (if anything), you'll likely get referred to fertility if there's anything notably wrong and they'll then test your amh and afc (egg reserves). If OH has bad sperm they may refer him to a urologist. Then once those tests are done they'll present you your options which is usually ivf especially if it's male factor.

Franklydear · 14/07/2021 18:34

@Mumlili9 you’ll have to do a review for us

We’ve visited the school with the head of year 7, this time we could go everywhere, the labs are great, the staff is so friendly, all the right answers, and the big question, what can we do to help him?, we're definitely in the right place, farther afield but worth it, and love the greeting, this is your home for the next five years, we also got a brilliant end of year report, so, such a great day.

larrythelizard · 14/07/2021 18:44

Oh that sounds wonderful @Franklydear worth the extra travel if it's the right place for him! How did he find it?

Franklydear · 14/07/2021 18:51

@larrythelizard he loved it, particularly the science labs, in plural, and they have a metal work lab, to built the robots you see?, they don’t seem short of resources, and the head of year is so friendly and approachable, he warned him I like to fiddle, his response: me too!, won’t be made to feel a weirdo in this school, and I asked about communication, I can email anybody I want any time, no limits and no gatekeepers, we don’t have β€˜that parents’ in here, we want you to talk to us all the time, I really can’t find any faults, now I just need to get my wrap around care sorted but it’s all good

paintfairy · 14/07/2021 21:21

@Franklydear definitely sounds like the right thing happened in the end. What a relief.

Manifestingbaby · 14/07/2021 22:15

@mumlili9 very interested to hear about those tests. I have look at yhem before but to be honest with the price of them and a poas habit, I daren't πŸ˜‚

bez91 · 14/07/2021 22:23

@DKDK123 we have sapphire salute, I love it I just think we went for the wrong finish as it seeks mark everytime you brush past it πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ we have it with a very light grey

@Vil10 I was going to say 4 weeks for SA is pretty good. @DKDK123 is right to say lower your expectations on waiting for appointments. Hopefully you will be more in the picture this time next month 😊

The school sounds fantastic @Franklydear glad you're all happy with it and it's put your mind at ease

feliznavidad2 · 14/07/2021 22:55

@DKDK123 lovely colour and sounds like a grand plan. We're going sort of pale sage green... I think. πŸ€”

@bez91 good taste it would seem! I also need something hardwearing as DS is forever bashing around in the kitchen. πŸ™ˆ

@Minster2012 have a fab time glamping πŸ•β˜€οΈπŸ₯‚

School sounds fab @Franklydear - glad you had an all in all, great day! How many children do you have? (Sorry if too nosey.)

Ooh do let us know how you get on @Mumlili9 - I may buy some if they're good.

Gotta keep the hope @Manifestingbaby - you never know. 🀞🏻 Fingers tightly crossed for you.

Not sure if I'm clutching at straws, spotting hasn't really become spotting, was v v light pink CM this am and now just more pink - usually my CM is brown and v dark when this post ovulation frustrating spotting starts. 🧐 We shall see. Knicker checking agogo here. 🚨 8dpo tomorrow, longest week ever.

Franklydear · 15/07/2021 06:40

@feliznavidad2 the one and only child, not for lack of trying to give him his long awaited brother, too nosey? we’re access all areas here, hope that not spotting doesn’t develop into anything stronger, we’ll try to keep you amused for a week

Kirky658 · 15/07/2021 06:48

@franklydear new school sounds great! Nice one.

My little pupper is going to have his bits chopped off this morning, I feel so emotional about it 😭

larrythelizard · 15/07/2021 07:37

Late to the party but interested to hear about those strips @Mumlili9 - do you use them instead of OPKs?

Hoping your straws are right @feliznavidad2 🀞🏼🀞🏼🀞🏼

Robots you say @Franklydear?! No wonder he likes it!

Poor doggo @Kirky658

I have super sensitive nipples and was a bit like, oh, maybe it's happened this time...and then I remember all sex was pre lurgy, pre FW so I'm not...cheers brain!

feliznavidad2 · 15/07/2021 08:07

Think I'm clutching, brown discharge more now. 😩 We shall see.

At least it's nearly the weekend. Have a good day all. x

bez91 · 15/07/2021 08:29

Actually didn't even know they were a thing @Mumlili9 @feliznavidad2 I had to Google πŸ˜† interesting though I may look when I get back to tracking

@feliznavidad2 argggh damn the spotting, how many dpo are you?

@larrythelizard pre lurgy πŸ˜† how are you feeling now any better? Do you have a new start date for the job?

Still in turmoil about going for the interview Monday, the director accosted me yesterday and basically said I'm perfect for the job I'm doing now doesn't want me to move even though still in same department, she sees me the most skilled in the department. All lovey dovey even gave me a hug 🦠 that she appreciates all that I'm doing now and that my responsibilities are way more than my equivalents because of my property profile being so dynamic and then went on to say my manager is 67 and will probably be retiring soon (I had no idea he was that old 😳) so she's basically dangling a carrot although obviously they know nothing about my intention to get pregnant which would scupper things anyway. DH not been around to talk through it with him and I'm still undecided πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ sorry for the rant!
