Hi girls,

I am so frustrated. I’ve been trying to conceive my fourth since feb. All 28-35 day cycles and no joy: this last cycle has been 45 days so far with me ovulating on cd32. Pregnancy test is negative today 😭 the doctor is not interested but has said he will test to see if I’m peri menopausal. I conceived first month with my other three. This is a new partner but he has a child so I don’t get what the problem is. Sorry I just needed to rant to someone who may understand x

@Sunnytimes21 I’m so sorry af came. What a massive pain: I have tested at 13dpo each month thinking maybe there is a slim chance but when it shows negative I think you do lose hope by that point. Here’s to next month hey. I’m hoping I get my bfp in 2 weeks and you follow two weeks behind me. That would be amazing. X

@Hopetobeamumof4 yes, that would be amazing wouldn't it!
@Moominmiss do you mind if I ask which ubiquinol you took? I've read so much about absorption and doses that I think I may well have gone mad x

Moominmiss · 28/06/2021 09:41

@Sunnytimes21 of course I don’t mind.

I did tons of research into it too before deciding which to buy.

I used these
www.naturesbest.co.uk/co-q10/co-q10/ubiquinol-100mg/?src=GONATOE1C&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIhZKW8va58QIVgu7tCh0xsAoWEAAYASAAEgKKGPD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

I also realised I put that I took 300mg a day. I didn’t. I took 2 capsules a day so 200mg!

Hopetobeamumof4 · 28/06/2021 09:53

Thank you @Moominmiss I’m going to start on these. I already take coq10 but this sounds better x

Sunnytimes21 · 28/06/2021 10:15

@Moominmiss thank you, that's really useful 😊. I've ordered the 120 tablets and will take 2 a day. I've apologised to my bank balance x

Moominmiss · 28/06/2021 16:26

@Hopetobeamumof4 and @Sunnytimes21 they aren’t the cheapest ones around, but I’d read an awful lot about the absorption of coq10 in comparison to ubiquinol in its natural form etc and just decided it was worth the extra cost.

I did find after ordering from them once they sent me every month or so a booklet with all their offers in it, and a money off voucher that I could use on my online order. Wasn’t loads off or anything, but as they say, every little helps!

Xx

Hopetobeamumof4 · 01/07/2021 23:46

How are we all doing? I’m 6dpo tomorrow and really want to test which I know is silly as it will be negative regardless! Think I’m addicted x

@Hopetobeamumof4 I should be ovulating next Friday, so concentrating on other things for now. Like applying for a new job, I figure life goes on between the trying! I'd have tested by now if I was you, I'm awful for it Grin. Good luck!!!

Monicatatie · 02/07/2021 09:32

Hi guys, hope you dont mind me joining this thread. I'm about to start ttc 4th baby, I'm 38. I had my last baby last September, so if it happens it will be a short gap. I'm a bit scared though as I dont feel 100 % ready but my DH is up for it and we dont want to leave it too late. We DTD this week without protection and I kind of freaked out after, wondering if that's what I really wanted 🤷‍♀️ but I felt okay the next day.
How old are your other children?

Sunnytimes21 · 02/07/2021 11:20

@Monicatatie welcome to the thread Smile. Tbh, if my dp and I are successful once then I probably won't use protection afterwards. I like the thought of two tiny ones. But if you're freaking out then it may be best to hold back? Are you financially comfortable and have the energy?
My 3 are nearly 11, nearly 18 and 20 so been a fair while. I'm revved up for starting all over again Grin. How old are yours?

Monicatatie · 02/07/2021 16:54

Thank you @Sunnytimes21
It would work out financially but I dont think I could work as childcare costs are too high and I have no family around to help out. So I'd have to be a housewife for a few years, but I'm okay with that. As to the energy, I think I would cope. My 9 months old is such an easy going baby. But who knows if the next one would be as easy. I think I was freaking out because she's still so little and I feel guilty for making her share me with a newborn if you know what I mean. My other two are 5 and 7.

Monicatatie · 03/07/2021 14:19

How many bedrooms do you guys have? Do your kids have to share a room?

Sunnytimes21 · 03/07/2021 17:56

@Monicatatie in my experience, older children can be much more demanding of undivided attention than little ones. It's all swings and roundabouts really so please don't worry your dd sharing you. She could adore her new sibling and it be the best thing ever, just as much as it could go the other way.
We have 3 beds here and a separate dining room. Using the box room as an office for dp at the moment, I work from the dining room (GDPR and all that). But he'd need to move to the dining room if we have a baby and I'd be able to work from the living room part time when the time came.

Sunnytimes21 · 03/07/2021 18:00

Forgot to say, my eldest dd is at uni and the younger dd has a flat, so just me, dp and ds here.
@Hopetobeamumof4 when are you testing? Excited for you!

Hopetobeamumof4 · 03/07/2021 18:23

I’m on hols right now so tomorrow when I get home 💃🏻I’ll be 8dpo so probably won’t show anyway x

Hi. I’m also ttc a baby with a new partner. I have 2 children already 11 and 8. Had a miscarriage in March at 7 weeks and haven’t had a bfp since :( I’m 34 and conceived quickly with my 2.

Monicatatie · 03/07/2021 19:19

@Hopetobeamumof4 🤞 for tomorrow

@Sunnytimes21 my two eldest have been so good with their new baby sister, I'm quite lucky there hasn't been any jealousy at all. Hopefully it will be the same again.
How your 11 year old feel about a new sibling?

@Lucy8721 so sorry for your loss. I also conceived my first 2 very quickly, wasnt too bad with the 3rd one but I did have to start using opks after a couple of months of no results, which I didnt need to do with my first two babies.

Lucy8721 · 03/07/2021 19:30

How long did it take for the 3rd? I started with the opks last month and just got af today but don’t only managed to dtd before I had the positive opk not the day of or after so maybe that’s why. Will try again this month xx

Monicatatie · 03/07/2021 22:48

@Lucy8721 about 3 cycles of serious tracking and dtd as often as possible. I kind of followed the sperm meets egg plan. We conceived the month my DH gave up vaping, dont know if it's linked though

Hopetobeamumof4 · 04/07/2021 19:35

Thanks @Sunnytimes21 I tested today and negative of course! 😂 how are you getting on?

Welcome to the group @Monicatatie, sounds like you’re a little undecided what to do but having kids with closer age gaps is always nice. But so is a decent gap too. It’s hard to know when the right time is isn’t it?

So sorry for your loss @Lucy8721 that’s heartbreaking. So frustrating you haven’t conceived again since, I’m sure it will happen. It just seems to be a waiting game. This is cycle 4 for me and I conceived first time with all of my three. 😓

Lots of luck and love to us all x

Lucy8721 · 04/07/2021 20:12

Thank you. We weren’t even ttc when I actually didn’t conceive so it is frustrating now it’s not happening. It’s been 3 months since, hoping this month will be the lucky month. Sending baby dust to everyone xx

Lucy8721 · 04/07/2021 20:13

Meant to say we weren’t ttc when I did conceive

Sunnytimes21 · 04/07/2021 21:35

@Lucy8721 welcome 👋, sorry to hear of your loss. It must have been very sad.

@Moominmiss my son is very happy about potentially having a baby brother/sister. He's more or less been an only child because his sisters were much older and would enjoy the company.

@Hopetobeamumof4 oh my goodness, 9dpo tomorrow! I'm all good, should be ovulating on Thursday...same day as my job interview. Feeling a little 'should I be applying for a new job' but also trying to be level headed. It could take months/years to get pregnant. I stand a good chance at getting the job and it'd be a 4.5k rise pa. Which would be very handy, even if it only ends up being for a few months. Good luck for tomorrow, I'm sure you'll be testing 😁

Hopetobeamumof4 · 04/07/2021 23:37

@Sunnytimes21 I will be indeed! I so want those two lines. Have absolutely no symptoms of anything at all this month 😂 good luck for your job interview on Thursday. Hope you smash it and ovulate the same day and you get your bfp soon after. This has to happen soon. Law of averages says it will x
