Hey ladies,
Sorry I have been remiss recently.
@Hopetobeamumof4 - I think that looks like a positive! Congrats! Are you going to go for it straight away?
@jellybean55 - my Son also turns 7 but in 3 weeks - I totally get the "how the hell do they grow up so fast"! I look at him sometimes and have to do a double take as he is so tall now! I mean he can open our front door!! Gasp!
Please try to keep a positive mindset - 42 is not too old - i've read about plenty of people who have been successful. I have come to think of it as "it only matters what is right for your family". As in, for us, the whole point of having a 4th is so that the kids are close together in age (my elder two only have 14 months between them, and we would like our potential 4th to have 16 months or 18 months at a max). This is important for us, as logistically they will only be one school year apart, so it makes that much easier, and it doubles up that they have a built in playmate with their sibling. Now if that doesn't bother you and you are a healthy fit woman - 42 is not old! I think society tells us we are old - but I still feel and think young! I mean, I have bad days of exhaustion and mood swings, but overall, I am a happy fit mum (albeit one who struggles to run 2k sometimes haha - but I will get there)!
@Sunnytimes21 you should totally book a holiday for next year. There is no point going anywhere this year with all the plethora of covid tests and restrictions - but next year, WE ARE going somewhere! hahaha - just picturing myself in a bikini at 7 months pregnant - haha. But in all seriousness, i've always booked holidays a year in advance, this ensures we get the best deals and it also gives something to look forward to. I love BA holidays as you only have to pay the deposit and then can save towards the final amount and pay 30 days before you travel :)
@Monicatatie - funny you should say about alcohol drinking. My GP did a blood test on me as I've had some upper abdo pain and wants me to repeat the test in 3 weeks lol. Apparently, my liver enzyme count is too high and he asked me how many units of alcohol i drink every week! OMG! I was mortified! I don't think I drink excessively (ok, I drank one bottle of wine over 5 days by myself) and I am BF but seriously?! I think everything in moderation is fine - if you want a drink - then drink it - just don't get wasted! The book is really good, a bit full on, but very informative. I also have the "impatient woman's guide to getting pregnant" which is much easier to read and debunks a lot of myths put out there by the media (like age for example). I read the latter last summer whilst I was pregnant with our DC3.
This weekend we are going to up the ante and go for it! I think we need to start dtd for at least the next 7 days lol. Hopefully we are up to it, but we are going to have a full house next week as my in laws, sister in law and cousin are all coming over to stay for DC3's baptism which is next Saturday! Got so much planning to do still!
Have a lovely weekend ladies xoxo
