TTC 4th baby at 39

Hi girls,

I am so frustrated. I’ve been trying to conceive my fourth since feb. All 28-35 day cycles and no joy: this last cycle has been 45 days so far with me ovulating on cd32. Pregnancy test is negative today 😭 the doctor is not interested but has said he will test to see if I’m peri menopausal. I conceived first month with my other three. This is a new partner but he has a child so I don’t get what the problem is. Sorry I just needed to rant to someone who may understand x

I took another opk this afternoon after a wee hold and the line was even fainter than this morning! Dont know what to think. Did I miss the surge? I'm usually positive for at least a couple of days. This is so weird 😯🤔 maybe I'm going through an anovulatory cycle 🤦‍♀️

@msanne did you have a go at temping this month?

@Hopetobeamumof4 I know what you mean about TTC consuming you. I’ve felt like that this past couple of weeks, it’s getting me down & I really need to snap out of it.

@Monicatatie It could be possible you just missed your peak on the tests? I can’t remember if you have had tests to check your hormone levels? Maybe see what happens next month with the tests.

I’m definitely not in with a chance this month, so I’m just trying to snap out of feeling down about it & get ready for the next cycle.

@YukoandHiro I’ve just downloaded the sperm meets egg plan on my phone. I have tried it before but only half heartedly.

@jellybean55 i havent had any tests done. I'll see how it goes and might see gp after 6 months. Or just give up if it gets tricky

I didnt know there was an app for the smep, i need to get it too 😊

You never know, sometimes woman get pregnant when they least expect it 🤞

@msanne I will be getting them next month if nothing this month. Pricey business this ttc. I have no symptoms, not a sausage. X

@Monicatatie I reckon you missed your surge, maybe it’s not very long so easy to miss out on? So frustrating though I know x

@Hopetobeamumof4 Oh god, We’ve all been there testing so early 🙈 I’d probably test but I honestly have no hope this month.
Been getting sore boobs & fluttery tummy which I get every month before period & also the hunger…I want to eat everything. So my period is definitely on around the corner xx

On a positive note I’m still getting periods 😂

Husband has also finally got another date through to squirt his load in the correct pot!! 🤣🤣

Ha ah I hope he gets the right pot this time. Don’t men have it hard hey. Pardon the pun 😂😂 x

@Hopetobeamumof4 when I was ttc with my son, so we’re talking 9 years ago as it took 2 years. I was on a forum like this & made friends with some lovely girls, we are still friends now. We even ended up booking an apartment in Leeds & having a boozy day & night out 😂😂

On another note, I’m getting period pains now so feel really shitty.

@Hopetobeamumof4 I'm getting on alright, have seen 2 newborns on work visits this week, which was great . I'm not sure what to think of this ttc malarkey now. I've a horrible feeling it won't happen, but then secretly thinking it's bound to. I was secretly convinced last month was going to be a bfp after getting loads of twinges. But also thought it definitely wouldn't happen 🤣. Basically, I've gone mad lol. Anyway, on day 3 of AF and preparing for the ttc fun next weekend. Fingers and toes crossed for you on Monday. I'm up for a WhatsApp group, I only log onto mumsnet for this chat. Will message my number to you to start it off x
