Oh no @LS2020 well I entirely feel your pain when it comes to the throwing up fiasco. Strange isn’t it, so many people said the same to me re it being a good sign… it doesn’t help much at the time tho 😂 take it easy, first trimester exhaustion is real.
I’m doing good thank you. Getting quite big now, 33 weeks this weekend, and starting to waddle just very slightly which I’m trying to stop myself doing 😂 . Started getting my hospital bag together, trying to be organised, which feels a bit surreal! Just can’t wait to meet him/her now!

LS2020 · 17/09/2021 20:24

@Ughmaybenot haha no it does not!! Yeah I’m so tired, it’s not helped works needed me to work 3 Saturdays every other week, tomorrow’s one is number 2. I can’t wait to have a break and proper weekend off next week.
Oh how cute! I would embrace the waddle, not going to change in next 7 weeks 😂😂
Fab! What have you got packed? The expert midwife spritz for bits is supposed to be a game changer!

Ughmaybenot · 17/09/2021 20:50

@LS2020 not ideal timing for that!! Hope you have a good day tomorrow tho.
Haha no, I expect it’ll just become more pronounced! My back has just started to play me up a bit but honestly I can’t get over how enjoyable this whole pregnancy has been… bar the throwing up every day for months and months 😂 but even that was bearable.
Ah I have heard that but I’m having a section so 🤷🏼‍♀️ currently just a wash bag, my jammies, a few little outfits for baby, nappies and wipes and maternity pads. It just feels utterly surreal tbh. The midwife said at my last appointment that realistically in the next few weeks, we ought to think about fitting the car seat (which has been in our spare room since I got it discounted with my blue light card months ago!) so we’re ready to go if needed. Crazy!

LS2020 · 18/09/2021 21:02

@Ughmaybenot thanks, strained my voice worse trying to speak but was good to see the full team in. That’s giving me some hope, I’m tired of this first trimester already! Though IVF nurse said it’s harder first trimester via IVF because I’ve already done 6 weeks of hormones whereas most women don’t start feeling hormonal til week 6 of pregnancy so 6 weeks after that, the first trimester is basically over and they get to move on!
Oh my gosh that’s insane, have you got a car seat picked?
My friends a midwife and said reusable straws are the best thing at the moment as nice to be able to sip drinks when holding baby and they don’t do them anymore with covid/saving the turtles 🐢

LS2020 · 18/09/2021 21:03

@Ughmaybenot haha don’t know how I didn’t pick up that you said you’d got a car seat 😂😂 baby brain!!
That’s a good idea with the blue light card actually - need to start thinking about using stuff like that

OP posts:
Ughmaybenot · 20/09/2021 09:36

@LS2020 I’d never even thought of that, but it does make sense!! Everyone says the second trimester is where it’s at but I’m loving the third too (despite all the sickness 😂) so fingers crossed you get a decent run of it after the first little rollercoaster!
Haha I use baby brain as an excuse so often now!! Yea honestly it’s definitely worth a look, the seat we had (a joie spinny one) should’ve been £280 and got it for £218 or something. Online4baby special discounts, search them on the app 👍🏻
Good tip re reusable straws!!

LS2020 · 30/09/2021 06:35

@Ughmaybenot sorry totally missed this! Sickness still isn’t great, doctors have given me some tablets but don’t feel the relief from anymore, but can’t tell if it’d be worse if I wasn’t on them!!

Only one more full week of work after this week and then a two week holiday yay!

Ooh thank you, need to start thinking about all these things - Amazon prime day is probably ideal but not sure I’ll be sorted enough by then 🙈

Had an 8 week scan yesterday and little one is happy and doing all the right things, heard the heartbeat for the first time too ❤️

@LS2020 oh you poor thing, I fully sympathise, it can feel a bit miserable!! I never took any medication because, essentially, I’m a stubborn bastard and thought I could win in a battle of the wills with my own health 🤔
Oh enjoy your time off, just what you need 😊
I’m so happy for you, how wonderful to see your little person growing away!
We have our c section booked for 5 weeks tomorrow which blows my mind tbh! It’s absolutely flown by, I just can’t believe we’re actually going to meet our baby in just over a month 😍

LS2020 · 30/09/2021 12:40

@Ughmaybenot well I’m only throwing up in the morning before my tablet anyway so feeing like I may as well stop? Though did throw up the tablet this morning 🙈
Ahh I was wondering how soon it was when I sent the message yesterday! Can’t believe your little one is nearly here ❤️

Hi ladies, just seeing how you’re both doing! My bad maths has you at about 37 weeks and 10 weeks?
I’m 6 weeks on from the last miscarriage and no sign of AF. My body has kind of fallen apart in the last week and given me horrendous hay fever (with a cough, but definitely not covid!), cold sores, restless legs and BV, which can’t help at all!

LS2020 · 12/10/2021 05:53

Hi @Sunbird24! Yes I’m 10 weeks this week ☺️ Doing well, first trimester is hitting hard but hopefully a positive sign. Have had my first midwife booking in appointment and then just waiting for 12 week scan to be booked.
Sorry to hear you’re not feeling well - I had a horrid non covid cold last week and it knocked me over so hope you’re resting up for a few days? Hopefully once your immune system is better, you’ll start seeing an improvement ☺️ X

Hey lovely, sorry you’re having a shit time of it, that’s quite a list!! When it rains, it pours… hopefully it’s all come at once and then you’ll get a break afterwards, not that that helps much right now!! Feel better soon 😘 Yes, currently 36w+2 so I’m impressed at your ‘bad’ maths! Feeling good, just so keen to meet them now (as much as I have loved being pregnant, despite all the puking 😂)
Sunbird24 · 14/10/2021 10:17

AF has finally arrived, 6.5 weeks post-miscarriage. It’s a rough one but so many of my team are away right now I’m the only one in the office! Not alone, there’s other teams/people around.

LS2020 · 18/10/2021 06:28

@Ughmaybenot not long now ❤️

@Sunbird24 hope you’re taking care of yourself. Might be the best of both worlds, no one too close to ask too detailed a question but people to speak to if you need 😌

You must be counting down the days now @Ughmaybenot?
My second due date is coming up this weekend, but we’re doing a surprise party for my mum’s birthday and if the third attempt had worked out (due 23 March 22) I’d have been telling her if they were girls or boys at that as I’d be passed 20 weeks. Could be an emotional one…

Ughmaybenot · 01/11/2021 11:38

I am indeed @Sunbird24 my c-section is on Friday Smile

I’m sorry it’s looking like it may well be tough weekend for you, the combination of dates is a kicker. Sending loads of love and strength 💐

Sunbird24 · 04/11/2021 12:00

Good luck for tomorrow @Ughmaybenot, hope everything goes smoothly for you!

Turns out there was a chromosome abnormality with my last pregnancy so baby was always going to go at some point Sad

LS2020 · 04/11/2021 20:29

@Ughmaybenot good luck for tomorrow - will be thinking of you 💕

@Sunbird24 sorry to hear you’re having such a tough time. Take lots of care of yourself. Are you going to check any of your last embryos?

OP posts:
Sunbird24 · 04/11/2021 20:31

@LS2020 I don’t know. I know that would make sense, but I honestly think right now I’d prefer to try again and miscarry again (and again and again) than do the testing and be told none of my embryos are viable. It sounds daft I know!

LS2020 · 04/11/2021 20:53

@Sunbird24 that sounds awfully traumatic though each time 😔 I do see your point a bit but make sure you do with the right mental headspace and make sure you have lots of love and support around you ❤️

OP posts:
Ughmaybenot · 04/11/2021 21:44

Thank you so much @Sunbird24 & @LS2020. I will check in on the other side!

I’m so sorry Sunbird, my heart hurts for you. Wishing you all the love and strength in the world, I can’t imagine how tough this must feel x

LS2020 · 07/11/2021 07:44

@Ughmaybenot been thinking of you all weekend - wishing you the most blessed time with your little one and hope you are recovering well ❤️

Hey @LS2020 I meant to check in sooner!! Our son was born Friday at 12:32pm, a whopper at 9lb 8.5oz. He’s had some issues with latching on for feeds and so we have had to stay in hospital two nights but DH is currently en route to collect us so we can go home 😊 thank you for checking in, that’s so kind of you.

Sunbird24 · 07/11/2021 09:18

@Ughmaybenot massive congratulations! Well done mama! Flowers

LS2020 · 07/11/2021 09:38

@Ughmaybenot congratulations!!! Flowers so pleased for you both.
Wow how many weeks were you? Probably for the best you had the caesarean 😂
Very glad to hear all is well, have a wonderful time as a new bubble of 3 and enjoy all the precious moments. Check back in anytime you need a bit of sanity! ❤️
