After a chilled garden soiree, it's time to shake things up and head to the cocktail club. Let's get into the spirit(s) - it's a whiskey business TTC so if you're feeling pretty fly grab a Mai Tai and have yourself some Sex on the Beach. Fingers crossed we get some BFP's and keep the Bloody Mary's away. Let the celebrations be-Gin!! Time flys when your having Rum!

Welcome to the 11th (!) post pill party thread for women who have recently come off the pill. Where we can all come and discuss the highs and lows of TTC.

@Gracie2021 @Juno231 I think an after party for those who have had thier BFPs would be great, although I am utterly useless at stuff like that and don't think I would be able to set it up 🤣🤣

Kay00 · 17/05/2021 10:18

@TheDaydreamBelievers Nooooo Sad so sorry hun!! What a blooming nightmare! You certainly need some intervention. I'm sure there are things they can give you to induce a period and then encourage ovulation xx

Thank you all for your lovely kind words re-yesterday. Procedure went well and no cancer was identified... in fact there was nothing untoward, so I am thrilled. Its one more thing I don't have to worry about in my TTC journey.

I had a cousin who found out she had cancer just after she fell pregnant with her 2nd baby, she was just 24. She had to decide to keep the baby and keep the cancer or loose the baby and fight the cancer. Unfortunately she chose the former Sad, she gave birth but died a couple of months later. It was utterly tragic. Ripped our family apart tragic. So I am really pleased to know I won't be making a similar decision. I hope that's a decision none of is ever have to make xx

I'm 13DPO, have been spotting the last few days and had cramps on and off. AF due today or tomorrow. So just waiting now.

ChinChilly · 17/05/2021 10:21

@TheDaydreamBelievers so sorry, I do get how frustrating it may be and I must admit I did find the TTC boards abit triggering at times

@Kay00 gosh that is terrible, you're results must be such a relief

AllyCat31 · 17/05/2021 10:33

Yea @Gracie2021 seems like there’s a few of us at almost the exact same point. It really does help knowing there’s people I can talk to or a place to vent. Not telling any family or friends your trying can be very isolating.

I’m counting today as CD1 as flow much heavier today. Gonna do my soy iso 3-7 again as that really helped bring ovulation forward and it was so strong on my BBT chart too. Think I’m gonna ditch all my apps except Femometer this cycle cause that one seems to be the closest one for estimating dates and also BBT and LH charting is so much easier. I was also using Flo but it was way out and I tried FF for a week but it wasn’t better than Femometer.

Lovebug06 · 17/05/2021 11:12

@Gracie2021 no I will wait I find the testing really hard! I stopped a long time ago but I have one there if AF doesn't come. I've just had the vaccine I had Pfizer. I'm a bit worried it's gonna make AF late and confuse me but nothing much I can do!
Glad it's done. Where are you? 30s being called in my area now.
@Kay00 I'm glad it all went well!
The story of your cousin is terrible. Life can be so cruel. Love xx
I'm 11dpo so just behind you. I hate this last bit of waiting takes forever!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 17/05/2021 11:18

@AllyCat31 wondering if I should try this soy!

AllyCat31 · 17/05/2021 11:30

What’s holding you back @TheDaydreamBelievers ? Happy to answer any questions although most of my info is from here/online. Only had one cycle on it but I ovulated 10 days earlier than any other cycle and no side effects at all.

Gracie2021 · 17/05/2021 12:31

@TheDaydreamBelievers I completely understand where you’re coming from. The saying “comparison is the thief of joy” is so true. While this board is a great source of comfort I think there’s a lot of us who need to take a step back from time to time to reset. Everyone has different challenges and issues and sometimes seeing other people and comparing journeys does more harm that good. But here if you need us and definitely do keep pushing for support medically. Maybe you’ll get approval for a medicated cycle to help bring ovulation on. Fingers crossed for you and sending hugs xx

@Kay00 so so relieved for you. What a weight especially when you have that tragic family situation on your mind. My heart goes out to that poor woman. What an impossible choice to make and can’t even imagine the heartache. Sometimes life is just so unfair!

@Lovebug06 I’m in Republic of Ireland and supply of vaccines has just been much slower here so we’re not moving as fast as you guys at all. Now our health services IT is under attack and all offline so things are going to be very challenging until they get it sorted.

Robyn101 · 17/05/2021 12:32

I’d definitely be up for a graduates thread, I think most have just joined whichever month they’re due threads but I’d love to have one with this little community.

I’m rubbish at setting up threads though what do you think @MintGreenLife @LauraT94 @pineapple2021 anyone want to set one up in the pregnancy board?

Lovebug06 · 17/05/2021 15:02

@Gracie2021 ah I see well fingers crossed it won't be too long for you x
@TheDaydreamBelievers I understand. Not the same, but sometimes I take breaks from these boards. Sometimes you can't help but compare and then you feel worse. Do whatever you need to do. You can always have a little break and see. We will still be here if you changed your mind or pop in the odd time ❤️
Whatever helps you on this journey is best. X

Juno231 · 17/05/2021 16:27

@TheDaydreamBelievers It totally makes sense that you'd want to take a step back - you do what's best for you and know we're all here for when you're ready to rejoin. One demand though is that you let us know of your future BFP regardless Grin

@kay00 phew what a relief! and what a terrible ending for your cousin, I can't even imagine it!

@FlyingGiraffe CD12 yday so CD13 today. I reckon OD is today as I didn't have a temp rise this morning! OH has promised another round of BD tonight lol.

One of my friends is coming over tonight for a pub meal and to drop off her dog that I'll dog sit for her until Friday. I'm so flipping excited! Just wish she'd leave the dog with me for longer.

Kay00 · 17/05/2021 16:37

Awww, enjoy the doggo sitting Grin

Lovebug06 · 17/05/2021 16:49

@Juno231 enjoy dogsitting! Love my boy, trying to remember the hard puppy days at the moment to put me off having another as I'm getting tempted again 😁

Juno231 · 17/05/2021 17:01

@Lovebug06 ha yes OH keeps suggesting we get a dog as he knows how much I love them and the whole TTC thing is obv bringing me down. I'm sort of hoping dogsitting will remind me of how much easier it is without one though!

FlyingGiraffe · 17/05/2021 17:17

@Juno231 Ah that's good! I was promised tonight but I've just been told that he's watching football at a friend's house so wont be home til 10.30pm. I'm usually asleep by then! 😂 I got my peak smiley today so will have to stay up! 😅 jealous of you dog sitting! And the pub meal saying that! I did eat out today though (inside) and it was SO good!

@Gracie2021 Thanks! I got my peak static smiley this morning. DH was saying we'll have to do it before he goes out but that would be so awkward! Pretty sure we cant just sneak upstairs without anyone noticing! 😂 just got to try to dtd tonight and tomorrow and I'll be happy with our coverage this month! 🤞

@TheDaydreamBelievers hope you stick around but understand why it's hard at the moment. I take breaks now and then. Usually when my ridiculously early spotting starts and I feel rubbish! Maybe the soy group thread would be worth having a read of. Seems like its helped a few of the girls on here now. Sending hugs x

@Kay00 so glad everything was all clear. Awful to hear about your cousin. So sad 😔 hope you enjoyed your dinner last night after fasting for so long!

Sunshinedaisybuttermellow · 17/05/2021 18:47

Officially cd1 today now, so I'm joining you guys @Gracie2021 @tillybabs @allycat31

@thedaydreambelievers that must be awful. Hopefully you ovulate soon and you can get this cycle over and done (ideally with a bfp at the end)

@kay00 that's amazing news about your appointment, and absolutely awful about your cousin. I can't imagine what your family went through.

Tillybabs · 17/05/2021 19:06

@TheDaydreamBelievers I’m so sorry and completely understand. It’s sometimes good for us all to have a break from the forums, I definitely do myself. I do hope you get some answers soon and get some help to bring on ovulation xx

@Kay00 I’m glad your procedure went well. That’s so terribly sad about your cousin. You must have been worried at the back of your mind about it. So glad all is well.

AF is still here and I must say my AF symptoms have levelled off a bit. Less pain but still heavy the first couple days. Sorry TMI

Lovebug06 · 17/05/2021 19:33

@Juno231 they are great after the puppy stage 😂 my dog is usually the one giving me a cuddle when AF comes bless him he can tell I'm sad and sits with me x

So has anyone here had the vaccine and had their cycles messed up? Ive read others now saying their cycles have gone totally weird since so I'm freaking a bit 😭

nellieee · 17/05/2021 20:03

Hi ladies. First off, congratulations to @ChinChilly and @TheHotelCalifornia!! I hope I haven't missed anyone else off?

Also, loving the opening of the thread, @MissC07!! And the recap DayDreamBelievers

I can see some of you are in various stages with your journeys, with various struggles @TheDaydreamBelievers @Moocher90 @Kay00. I totally understand where you are all coming from. It is a tough, and sometimes lonely, place TTC. Especially in the pandemic when it seems to be the only thing to focus on. @Juno231 how is everything going for you?

@LauraT94 great to hear everything is going well! Really pleased for you.

I went off grid for a while, mainly because I got a BFP, and I appreciate it can be hard seeing others with good news when you are having a hard time. Sadly that ended in a miscarriage at around 6 weeks recently. I didn't update you in this group as I didn't really want to admit it, which sounds silly now. My cycle returned straight away and I O'd (albeit a little late). 10dpo now and, much to my surprise, have got another BFP. I had bright red spotting on Saturday night, and google (🙄) suggested to test two days later as it could be IB. It's all very surreal but I thought I would share. Just hoping this one stays around for the long haul!

Moocher90 · 17/05/2021 20:23

@nellieee sorry for your early loss but so happy to hear that you have just got another positive pregnancy test! I really hope this one is a sticky bean x

ChinChilly · 17/05/2021 20:37

@nellieee I'm really sorry about the lose, great that you got another BFP so soon after, finger crossed for a sticky one 🤞

MissC07 · 17/05/2021 21:28

@nellieee so sorry to hear about the early loss. Keeping everything crossed for as sticky bean this time 🤞

@TheDaydreamBelievers so sorry you're really going through it at the moment. Completely understand you wanting to step back. Just know that we're all here when you need us 🤍

@Juno231 enjoy the dog sitting!!! I'm sure it'll keep you on your toes, the cuddles are so worth it though.

@Kay00 so pleased your appointment went ok. The story about your cousin sounds so tragic 😞

Had my second acupuncture appointment today and basically fell asleep on the bed 😂 She looked at all of my FF charts too and has recommended some dietary stuff. She's asked me to start the day with a cup of warm water and to try and keep my meals throughout the day warm if possible, instead of sandwiches and crisps 🤣 Could all be a load of tosh but I feel so much better coming out, like a therapy session! She's also using Moxa on me too which basically just feels like a really warm soothing feeling - perfect in this winter like weather we are having!!

Congratulations @nellieee what lovely news. Sorry to hear about your earlier loss. X
@missc07 sounds good! I have seen a few good things about acupuncture I am getting tempted!

nellieee · 18/05/2021 09:01

Thanks ladies. @MissC07 that acupuncture sounds like a dream! I've heard good things about it, and read lots about staying warm lately. Fingers crossed!!

Kay00 · 18/05/2021 09:32

@nellieee, oh wow, what a roller coaster! Congratulations and I really hope this is your sticky little bean xx

I went to my GP this morning to give bloods for Prolactin and Clamidia antibodies. and then to the hospital to give blood for AMH (ovarian reserve). Fingers crossed!

I think i'm going to count yesterday as a light bleed so that makes me CD2. So i'm also joining @Sunshinedaisybuttermellow @AllyCat31 @Tillybabs @Gracie2021 haha! Grin come on ladies! Lets make this out lucky cycle!
