Post Pill Party - Cocktail Club

After a chilled garden soiree, it's time to shake things up and head to the cocktail club. Let's get into the spirit(s) - it's a whiskey business TTC so if you're feeling pretty fly grab a Mai Tai and have yourself some Sex on the Beach. Fingers crossed we get some BFP's and keep the Bloody Mary's away. Let the celebrations be-Gin!! Time flys when your having Rum!

Welcome to the 11th (!) post pill party thread for women who have recently come off the pill. Where we can all come and discuss the highs and lows of TTC.

Ladies already at the soiree:

ChinChilly · 29/06/2021 18:41

@Kay00 @pineapple2021 @Kat668 thanks everyone, feels like I've been dealt a really bad hand over the last 6 months. I just want to get Monday out of the way and start moving on.

Juno231 · 29/06/2021 19:52

@ChinChilly oh I have no words, that's heartbreaking 😔 promise we'll be here for you when you're ready ❤️

Moocher90 · 29/06/2021 20:35

@ChinChilly I’m so sorry for your loss :( so devastating big hugs to you xx we are all here for you if and when you want to talk about anything xx

ChinChilly · 29/06/2021 21:08

@Juno231 @Moocher90 thank both, means alot.

I've got this overwhelming feeling of letting people down, both of our parents knew, I felt fairly safe after the first private scan and seeing the heartbeat so we told them and now I feel horrible for them. I know its silly 🙁 sorry for being a downer guys, kinda just needed somewhere to vent.

Moocher90 · 29/06/2021 21:13

@ChinChilly don’t be sorry! This is a safe space to vent xx I can’t imagine what you are going through :( xx

FlyingGiraffe · 29/06/2021 21:19

I've been lurking for ages, but I just wanted to say how sorry I am @ChinChilly 😔❤ Sending you loads of love and strength. I can only imagine the overwhelming emotions you're going through right now but take it easy on yourself. Vent away anytime you need to xxxx

ChinChilly · 29/06/2021 21:50

@Moocher90 thanks, i do feel like this is a safe place. You read these horror stories and don't expect it to ever happen to you 🙁

@FlyingGiraffe thank you ❤

MissM94 · 29/06/2021 22:02

@ChinChilly I'm so very sorry ♥️ you don't deserve any of this but hopefully you get some answers down the line x

Moocher90 · 29/06/2021 22:12

@ChinChilly I really hope you get the answers you need to be able to come to terms with what has happened and also so it doesn’t happen again :( xx

Sunshinedaisybuttermellow · 29/06/2021 22:51

@ChinChilly I'm so sorry xx
Sending you love xx

TheDaydreamBelievers · 29/06/2021 23:27

I remember feeling the same @ChinChilly - like it was their grandchild so made them sad too. To be honest though, I think my parents were largely just sad for me, not really about the baby as wasnt real to them yet

WhirlingD · 30/06/2021 00:31

@ChinChilly sending you love and hugs. I can't imagine what you are going through. I hope you can find some time to rest and be kind to yourself. This is absolutely not your fault.

As an update from me, I am starting to process things a bit now. I'm booked to see a specialist on 26th of July who specialises in premature ovarian insufficiency and I've found some great support groups to join (I'm a sharer!). At least I feel a bit more in control now. Not exactly what I imagined when I came off the pill but life is unexpected sometimes. X

mrsmacmc · 30/06/2021 01:12

@ChinChilly sending you hugs ❤️ and 💐 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

MissC07 · 30/06/2021 07:09

@ChinChilly I'm so sorry. Sending you a huge virtual hug. Take the time you need and never feel silly for any of your feelings, we'll all be here when you need us xx

@ChinChilly I'm so sorry for your loss, sounds like an awful shock. Thinking of you xx

Juno231 · 30/06/2021 08:21

@WhirlingD that's brilliant! Is the specialist local to you or are you having to travel? And how did you find the support group?

Kay00 · 30/06/2021 08:55

@ChinChilly you have been in my thoughts frequently over the past 24 hours, sending you all my love xxx

@WhirlingD that's very proactive of you, well done m'dear! I listened to a really interesting Podcast on the Guardian a couple of days ago about a journalist who stared going through the menopause aged 30(!). She talked about her experience, and lack of empathy from medical professionals, and her journey to having a baby: www.theguardian.com/news/audio/2021/jun/28/young-hot-and-bothered-going-through-menopause-in-my-30s It was an interesting story at the least Smile

Juno231 · 30/06/2021 09:02

@kay00 ooh that's interesting! I totally expected that to be me you know. My mum went into early menopause age 31 so I kept fearing the worst. Luckily she'd had her babies already :/

Moocher90 · 30/06/2021 10:00

Spoke to the GP today and he is referring me to gynaecology as my last two progesterone blood tests from last two cycles show I haven’t been ovulating :( I’m not sure if if it’s because of my thyroid or not.

@Kay00 just listening to the link you sent now. Heartbreaking the thought of menopause so young

Elsie2021 · 30/06/2021 10:43

@ChinChilly I am a regular lurker of this thread but rarely post but just wanted to send you all my love and hugs.

I too was told at my 12 week scan our baby had no heartbeat. We opted for medical management but I think you made the right decision with the surgical option as I was left with retained product. I am more than happy to chat about anything also x

This was about 3 months ago now, and we are now our first cycle TTC again. (Had peak OPKs for 2 days now so hoping I will ovulate soon 🤞)

We will get there 🌈

TheDaydreamBelievers · 30/06/2021 10:46

@Moocher90 you and I seem to be on the same path - hope that gynaecology referrals for both of us hurry the f- up. I was referred in march and have heard absolutely zero

Moocher90 · 30/06/2021 10:56

@TheDaydreamBelievers once you spoke to your go who referred you have you had any correspondence from gynaecology yet? I believe it can take up to 18 weeks :/. I should be moving in a few weeks but didn’t want to start the process once I have moved as it adds extra weeks onto it :/
