Morning guys!!
Been quiet this week as we got married in secret on Sunday on the beach. It was lovely.
Now just about at the end of our holiday in Campervan.
I'm now 8dpo - no signs or symptoms at all tho xx

Lollipop25 · 20/05/2021 08:04

Welcome @subbysammiexoxo 🤗
Big congrats @elsimo sounds fab 👰‍♀️

Marvellouslymadmum · 20/05/2021 09:17

@subbysammiexoxo welcome and so sorry for your losses, I can't imagine the pain of still birth and you've had to go through it twice, have the doctors given you any reasons for it at all? Anything they can do to help?

@elsimo ooh congratulations! That's amazing 🎉🥳

davidrosejumper · 20/05/2021 09:44

@Lollipop25, I am so feeling you. Our two children (both baby losses) would have been the first grandchildren in our family. The day after our baby's cremation, my DB announced SIL is expecting. (Luckily, they told us a little later, but they told our parents then, as it was my father's birthday).

When we were told, I of course congratulated them and kept my cool. As soon as we were alone, I spent the weekend in bed with chocolate and Netflix, contemplating the unfairness of life. I had been very 'reasonable' after the losses, and their announcement allowed me to actually properly grieve and get angry at the world for a bit (not at my poor B and SIL of course - they are just living their lives). Now, after a week or three, I have gotten used to the idea, and am able to genuinely join in with the pregnancy chat. I was so happy, when I was expecting, they deserve the same experience.

@susiebluebell ask away and I'll see what I can answer! Xx

davidrosejumper · 20/05/2021 10:24

@subbysammiexoxo, sorry for your losses Flowers. Have you had any investigations on why it might have happened?

@elsimo, congratulations on your wedding! A small beach wedding is very much the dream. :)

Lollipop25 · 20/05/2021 10:36

@davidrosejumper & @subbysammiexoxo I'm so sorry for your losses, I can only imagine the pain both of you have gone through. 🤞for rainbow babies for all of us💓

Capricorn8990 · 20/05/2021 11:49

Capricorn8990 · 20/05/2021 11:50

@elsimo congrats on your wedding!!

@davidrosejumper I am so sorry. Baby dust to you xx

gizmo167 · 20/05/2021 11:54

@elsimo oh wow hun, big congrats xx

@davidrosejumper and @subbysammiexoxo welcome and so very sorry for your losses xx

@Lollipop25 yea I totally understand you hun, seemed to be everyone announces and seem to be in this little perfect fantasyland, makes no sense after loss!

@Canadadarlingg I had an IB on CD26 and got my v faint BFP CD28, keeping all crossed for you hun xx

Canadadarlingg · 20/05/2021 12:04

@gizmo167 thank you that helps!

I'm trying not to get too negative but I just went to the loo and had a bit more bleeding, not like a flow but more heavy spotting. Looks like AF may be coming soon and my body's just reacting differently this time which is weird cause I never spot and I haven't had any period cramps just light ones yesterday morning 🤷🏼‍♀️ oh well trying to convince myself it's a good thing as I can start with a fresh cycle 😌

Twinkles18 · 20/05/2021 18:50

@Canadadarlingg hopefully its not AF coming early!! Had a bit of very light spotting earlier today too, nerves are away. But that's a good spirit to have, on to the next cycle if it is early AF💕

Canadadarlingg · 20/05/2021 19:09

@Twinkles18 I have a feeling I'm out this month but my fingers are crossed that it's just spotting for you🤞🏻✨Each cycle is 1 month closer to getting our BFPs 🙂
And hey at least I can binge eat Chinese without feeling guilty! Lol

bez91 · 20/05/2021 19:11

@elsimo yayy congratulations 👰🏼🍾🥂 hope you had a fab day

@Canadadarlingg sorry about the spotting, could be AF but yes starting with a fresh cycle isn't a bad thing 😊

Either 2 or 4dpo here, had repeat bloods today and I think I ovulated this month so we will see 😬

Twinkles18 · 20/05/2021 19:11

@Canadadarlingg you're right if we are out then so be and we're 1 closer 💕 few wines this weekend aswell as a guilt free Chinese 💫 yum!

Twinkles18 · 20/05/2021 22:21

@Canadadarlingg think that's me out now too, it's getting heavier! Oh well...getting the prosecco in the fridge for the weekend lol

Canadadarlingg · 21/05/2021 10:18

@Twinkles18 sorry to hear that it really sucks doesn't it, I took a pg test just incase and still negative so looks like I'm out too. Expecting AF any minute

Twinkles18 · 21/05/2021 10:33

@Canadadarlingg I know but onwards and upwards..you'd just rather get AF sooner so you can get onto the next cycle! Dont know if I'm even going to bother wasting a test yet as feel mine coming too! This next month will be cycle 3 for us so hopefully 3rd time lucky 🙈

Canadadarlingg · 21/05/2021 10:39

@Twinkles18 exactly a new cycle is a new chance, and if AF is going to show up I wish it would come already! Next will only be my 2nd cycle trying so I feel silly complaining but hoping next month will be it for us both ☺️

Does anyone have any reviews on preseed? Im wondering if it's worth trying as I often use normal lube and I've heard that can actually make conception harder. So has anyone used it / know someone who has and would you recommend? Or does it not really help much

davidrosejumper · 21/05/2021 12:51

I finally got the test outcomes of our last loss back this week. It turns out I have tested positive for clotting, which in turn affected the placenta and the blood that reached the baby. It is good to know what caused the losses, but also horrendous that it was something, that, had I been aware of it, could have possibly been prevented.

Apparently I had around a 20% chance of having a successful pregnancy without diagnosis, and with diagnosis and treatment it rises to around 75-80%. It is good to have an 'answer' to why things happened as they did, and hopefully prevent it in a future pregnancy, but I did not exactly expect to walk out of that meeting with a new health condition.

Marvellouslymadmum · 21/05/2021 13:28

@Canadadarlingg I know quite a few people who have used it and had a bfp I have a Tesco version too which I use when I remember 🙄

@davidrosejumper horrible that something could've been done, I've seen a few people who have had a similar issue and makes me wonder why they don't do standard tests for pregnant women! Have they given you medication to help or is that something they'll do once you get your next bfp?

davidrosejumper · 21/05/2021 15:22

@Marvellouslymadmum. Yes, I wish they would test more for it, too! Tommy's has a great campaign asking for testing after one MC, instead of three. I am sorry you have suffered multiple losses yourself Flowers. If you think this may play a role in your losses, I would most definitely ask for a test for thrombophilia. The results took only a week to come in. I had none of the other symptoms associated with it, and recurring babyloss was the only clue.

For now, I have not been put on anything. I simply need to contact them as soon as I have a BFP, and come in at 6 weeks. As soon as they see a heart beat, they will put me on aspirin and heparin. I am not TTC'ing this cycle, but will start TTC again next cycle (want to get my second jab first). But relieved that there is a plan!

Canadadarlingg · 21/05/2021 15:25

@Marvellouslymadmum that's good, it might be worth a try then! And I didn't realise that tesco have their own one I bet that's a lot cheaper too

@davidrosejumper I'm sorry that you're going through this, I agree that it should be looked into before having to suffer those losses :( Hoping that now they've actually given you a diagnosis you will have a better chance of a healthy pregnancy next time and maybe they'll give you more support x

bez91 · 21/05/2021 18:42

@Canadadarlingg heard it helps some people I think if you have to use lubricant anyway pressed is better to use

@davidrosejumper that's tough to hear but good that you now know so something can be done in future. Yes I'm a big advocate of the Tommy's campaign current ongoing. Search the petition to sign ladies if you haven't already 🙌🏼

OP posts:
Canadadarlingg · 21/05/2021 18:54

@bez91 that's very true, I read that normal lubricant actually makes it harder for sperm, but I don't know how much it really affects it. Better to be on the safe side and give myself the best chances :)
