@SLCxxx my AF showed up this evening so I'm ready to go for next cycle! I was kind of expecting it after the spotting during the week so it's OK, on to the next cycle now..feeling positive 🤍
Fingers crossed your AF doesn't show and you get a BFP!!

MammaJ21 · 23/05/2021 21:24
@MammaJ21 They are very similar times to me, I had dtd on CD16, and got the peak overnight on CD17-18, from experience I ovulate about 12 hours after the LH surge, so only DTD the once before I ovulated. I conceived, but had a chemical pregnancy so keep your fingers crossed! I had read somewhere that lower LH surges can mean you took less of a hormone surge to ovulate that time, so not always a bad thing. That was on some deep obsessive TTC googling though so not sure how accurate it is.
Ah that is interesting! maybe if I had tested a few hours later it would have been as dark and I just missed seeing the peak or something.
Previous cycles I've seen the peak and then the next morn it's been there too...but could just be the times this time! It's all so hard isn't it. Lots of overthinking going on!

How are you doing this cycle? I should be due af end of the week if my cycles are back to normal. The last AF (after MC) was around the 'normal' time, so guessing this one will be too.

bez91 · 23/05/2021 21:34

@Capricorn8990 I'm similar, 5 or 7 dpo. Not sure as my chart is weird on FF 🤦🏼‍♀️ I've been off the pill about 16 months and still can't tell PMS symptoms from pregnancy despite being pregnant twice, so you're not alone 😂

I've done well not to symptom spot so far, real itchy nipples though which is really distracting but I've had those with BFNs too 😆

OP posts:
Capricorn8990 · 23/05/2021 21:54

@SLCxxx it's sooo hard not to isn't it! I guess that's why we're all on here though, to share our symptoms whether BFP and BFN. Xx

@bez91 itchy nipples oh my gosh they are so annoying aren't they haha! Wish our bodies just told us when we're releasing an egg blatantly! Rather than having to test on OPKs, CM or temping! Xx

MammaJ21 · 24/05/2021 16:47

@Twinkles18 sorry AF has shown for you.On to the next cycle!

@bez91 bless you with the symptom spotting. Good luck for the next week!

Cd25 for me...not sure if I obvulated as didn't have a line as dark on opks. Think I'm out this month as if that was it, only dtd couple days before. and if it wasn't it....I'm still waiting for it...or maybe not happening.

What time of day do you all do opks? red differing things about not doing them in the morning vs doing them in the morning.I do them.in the pm. it lately haven't been very consistent with around the same time each day due to various things getting in the way

catinthehat12 · 24/05/2021 19:48

@MammaJ21 I am good, was a bit sad to get my period but also relieving to finally know where I am in my cycle. My track record has shown I can conceive quite quickly but holding on to them is a bit harder. Fingers crossed we both won’t be waiting for long!

But yes my OPKs really confused me this cycle, but thankfully I have a lot ovulation signs anyway so had a rough guess. I am waiting to start the OPKs again. Not sure if to invest in the clear blue again for this month as I do like the clear symbols and use of oestrogen as I peak with LH very rapidly and suddenly, have you used them before? I actually am struggling to find them on amazon, at least that isn’t ridiculously expensive.

Acebobase · 24/05/2021 20:16

So I'm going it alone this month since I'm waiting for an appt with the recurrent mc team so no drugs to help me ovulate
We're also just going for a it without an af after my last loss
So first time diligently using the opks (previously I had tracking u/s) and got a peak on cd 18 and now 2/3 dpo - dtd today and had some spotting after and a bit of cramping on one side. Have also been feeling sick for the past days...
I'm in between thinking I've just irritated my cervix or could it be imp bleeding already?
I'm getting worse with the symptom spotting even though I swore I wouldn't get like this - I think the multiple mcs and lockdown so having lots of time to stew in things has made it worse
It's going to be a long tww....
Hmm

SLCxxx · 24/05/2021 22:08

@Twinkles18 @Canadadarlingg I came on today too, oh well better luck for us this new cycle aye!

@susiebluebell do you mean you filled out a form for a consultation with your gp? Or your waiting for a consultant? Either way I hope they hurry up and get back to you x

SLCxxx · 24/05/2021 22:14

@Acebobase I’m sorry you find yourself back in this position, doesn’t really seem fair does it. I think it’s more likely that your cervix is still fragile but although implantation typically happens 6-9dpo, it’s not impossible for it to happen earlier or later.. so you never know 🤷🏼‍♀️ Plus it’s always nice to have some hope to carry you through these difficult cycles. Wishing lots of luck 🤞🏻

elsimo · 25/05/2021 08:02

Morning guys!!
13dpo today and just got a bfn!!
I was hopeful this month as had no spotting yet!! Arghh!!
On to cycle 8 after the MC

bez91 · 25/05/2021 08:38

Argggh @elsimo really sorry, it's always worse when things are different from previous months it leads you into positivity ☹️
I'm 7 or 9 dpo today, cramps for last few days which always happen around a week before AF so think I'm out

OP posts:
Capricorn8990 · 25/05/2021 08:43

@Acebobase don't lose hope just yet 🤞🏼🤞🏼 xx

@elsimo sorry to hear that! Baby dust for your next cycle xx

Capricorn8990 · 25/05/2021 08:47

Heya ladies,

Looking for some advice. Doctors say you have to have been trying for a year prior to any fertility checks. I have endometriosis and am on cycle 4 but not feeling hopeful this month.

My question is, do you think I should contact my GP at 6 months/ cycles of trying? If I have no luck by then. I had my laparoscopy in April 2018 when it was stage one.. not on my ovaries luckily but it can spread.

I came off anti depressants in September 2020 after being on them for 15 years since I was 11 for OCD treatment and I'm quite a worrier/ anxious person.

I get real anxiety thinking about calling the doctors as I hate speaking to the receptionists, I feel really inadequate at times with how they have been in the past x

Wishingfornumber2 · 25/05/2021 09:20

👋 Hi all, have been on these MC threads since April last year 😕 but haven’t posted recently as nothing to report still. Only thing is I am 1 cycle into 3 of blood tests being taken to check I am ovulating.

I remember seeing a post about feeling jealous with pregnancy announcements. I have recently had two close friends announce they are pregnant. I am obviously happy for them and one had a MC last year but still have that sinking feeling inside especially after not a hint of a bfp for 2 & a half years.

@elsimo I feel your pain, 12dpo today and tested this morning with a frer but bfn. It’s my husband’s bday tomorrow so thought it would be a nice extra present to give if it was a bfp.

@Capricorn8990 sorry to hear you have had bad experiences in the past but might be worth contacting drs to get the ball rolling. Could you maybe tell a white lie and say it has been a year?

Capricorn8990 · 25/05/2021 11:10

Okay, I feel like such an idiot. I didn't read the thread name properly. I've now realised it's for those who have had a miscarriage and I feel really bad as I've not. I'll leave you ladies - good luck to you all and sorry again xxx

davidrosejumper · 25/05/2021 12:13

@Capricorn8990, I know that in some circumstances, they sometimes let you start after 6 months of TTC. I am in my late thirties, and they mentioned this to me, when I asked about it, as our NHS trust has quite an early cut-off age for IVF. Considering you have endo, it makes sense to get things checked out, so make your argument.

Don't hesitate to contact your doctor. They are really there for your benefit. If you get nervous, perhaps you could do it online through an email, instead of a call, so you can make sure you don't get flustered, and can get your message and arguments across.

Also remember that when someone sounds annoyed on the phone, they a) are not doctors themselves and have not received the training to appreciate your conditions; b) they might just have an impatient tone of voice, without being aware of it or meaning it; c) might be annoyed because of something happening in their life or work just then (an email bounces; they had a dispute at home that morning with their teenager, etc.). So little of people's negative reactions ever have to do with the people who are at the receiving end of them.

Hoping it goes well, and you get your appointment!

davidrosejumper · 25/05/2021 12:21

@Wishingfornumber2, for me, it is very much about the company and knowing you are not alone.

Wishing lots of luck to you, and I hope that your tests will give more insight into what is going on (which then hopefully can be treated)!

susiebluebell · 25/05/2021 15:14

@wishingfornumber2 Hello again and sorry to read you're still waiting for your baby to come along. It can be like being put through an absolute mangle with pregnancy announcements around you. Of course we are thrilled for our friends/relatives! But it can be a very bitter time as well, for ourselves.

I have found it comes and goes. We had a new baby in the family born at Christmas, and this week I've finally met her for the first time. I was a wreck throughout my SiL's pregnancy and couldn't bring myself to see newborn photos. But I was fine meeting her and bounced her on my knee and got a smile out of her. No problem.

At Christmas, I really had to consciously put my big girl pants on and smile through gritted teeth, and be happy for my SiL (we spent Christmas there and inevitably it was talked about as she was due). But now that feeling has totally faded, and while I wish I had a lovely 5-month-old too, I am really enjoying getting to know this little one.

@SLCxxx A form for consultation with the GP. I'll phone up if I haven't heard anything this week. Doesn't really help my doctor nervousness!

Jadem83 · 25/05/2021 17:00

@Wishingfornumber2 I’ve also been here since last April and still sitting around quietly cheering everyone on with not much to report myself . It’s tough journey to be on and I really do feel ya with the sinking feeling when a close friend announces . Until
Recently I felt nothing but sheer joy and excitement for the new parents to be on hearing the happy news and of course I still share in that but it’s also started to sting a little the more time that passes , possibly as it coincides with my own hope starting to fade. I’m currently sat on day Cd 31 which has been my longest cycle since the mc ( they’ve ranged from 24-30 ) and can’t even bring myself to test as couldn’t face the disappointment of another bfn . Anyway I guess what I’m trying to say is that your not alone and are in good company here , we’re all in together and wishing the very best of luck to you 💕

Wishingfornumber2 · 25/05/2021 20:26

@davidrosejumper @Jadem83 thanks, yes it’s nice to feel not alone here 🥰. I used to talk to my friend who had a MC last year about it all but now she is pregnant I have no one else to talk to. She would still be here for me but not the same really. Really hope we all have some good news soon! My body has tricked me recently with some long cycles but hope this is a good sign for you @jadem83 🤞

@susiebluebell must’ve been so hard at Christmas time. Feel like we all have to grin and bare it at times. That’s so nice you felt ok when you saw the baby and have bonded with her though.

Marvellouslymadmum · 25/05/2021 20:37

@MammaJ21 I'm the same, ran out of cb opk so have been just using strips this month until The others arrived. The strips went up down up down but never got a proper peak! The cb arrived but have had a ⭕️every day and my temps went up a little and have now dropped right down for the last few days. I'm cd18 so no clue what's happening this month! I use the opk in the morning but that's because the cb tells you to and the strips never give me much of a reading later in the day, probably because I drink slot of water.

@catinthehat12 I get the cb digital advanced connected on eBay £25 for 25 tests

@Capricorn8990 from speaking to others I would speak to your gp and see what they say, some seem to be happy to start tests early and others will make you wait.

SLCxxx · 25/05/2021 21:16

@susiebluebell @Capricorn8990 calling the gp is very daunting! When I called I just asked the receptionist to book a go spot with preferably a female DR, they asked for the reason for the appt and I just said fertility, then they told me the first appt available. Just remember, they are a publicly funded occupation (just like myself), they are there at your service and you are entitled to book an appt and not have to tell the receptionist more than you want want to, which for me is not much 🤣

SLCxxx · 25/05/2021 21:17

@Marvellouslymadmum how frustrating! 🤞🏻🤞🏻 You haven’t missed it

You're so right, I have to remind myself that I don't need to come prepared with all the correct answers and knowledge. They are the ones who should tell me what's wrong! Haha
