@Sansa87 She was fairly quick luckily ☺️

I got examined just before the gel went in and I’ve been wandering around at 2cm without even knowing 😂 so hopefully the gel doesn’t need to do much work and things will progress nicely 🤞

Sansa87 · 08/08/2021 16:21

@MrsB2019x I have everything crossed! Get a kip in whilst your can!

SS123456 · 08/08/2021 16:47

@MrsB2019x hopefully not too long until she is here, it's so exciting 😁. Keep us posted if/when you can

I keep getting emails and expect it to be from mumsnet 😂

whambam89 · 10/08/2021 12:32

@MrsB2019x hope all is ok! ❤️

MrsB2019x · 10/08/2021 15:53

Thanks all! Was an absolute whirlwind. Induction itself went fairly smooth but contractions were coming faster than they would like. Luckily the epidural managed to slow them down a bit (side note: epidurals are the absolute best thing EVER).
But she wouldn’t progress down the birth canal (which we now know is down to her size 😂) and her head was a bit off to the side. They tried ventouse and that failed, they tried forceps and they didn’t work, so ended in a c section. Had a full house bingo of birthing options 😂 she was worth every minute though.

Ella born 9/8/21 8:45am weighing 9lb4oz 🥴😂

@MrsB2019x congratulations! So glad she is finally here 😁❤️. 9lb 4!! Thank god you had her early! You sound like you went through a lot you poor thing 🤗. Are you feeling ok?

Sansa87 · 10/08/2021 16:40

Oh Ella! You Beaut! I reckon Frankie probably would’ve weighed that size at that gestation too! How are you doing after section? If I can offer advice… take ALL the meds. Even if you feel okay. Keep on top of it.

I can’t get over her hair.

whambam89 · 10/08/2021 17:50

@MrsB2019x congratulations! What a beauty 😍 hope Mr B is looking after you and you're feeling ok xxx

kirinm · 10/08/2021 17:51

Ah huge congratulations @MrsB2019x what an absolute beauty! And that sounds like a tough labour. Hope you are feeling okay and get to go home soon x

MrsB2019x · 14/08/2021 16:55

Thanks all! We came home the following night, recovery is going okay. @Sansa87 I am having ALL the drugs 😂 can definitely tell even just being an hour late for some of them.

How are we all? x

whambam89 · 14/08/2021 17:13

@MrsB2019x hope you're settling in ok 😘

All good here, had my referral through already and the appointment is next week, can't believe how quickly it's come through!

MrsB2019x · 14/08/2021 17:24

@whambam89 That’s amazing! Please keep us updated 😘

SS123456 · 15/08/2021 08:22

@whambam89 that's brilliant news! Keep us posted 😊🤞🏻

@MrsB2019x so glad you are both home and doing ok! 😁

I'm doing fine but ready to stop being pregnant now 🙈. Only 11 days until my due date so hopefully not too much longer to wait. OH got a test and trace isolation request yesterday (to isolate until the 19th) so I'm stressing about him missing the birth. The rules change from tomorrow but I can't work out if that only applies to people being asked to isolate from the 16th onwards and not before 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

OP posts:
MrsB2019x · 15/08/2021 11:44

@SS123456 Ugh that’s stress you don’t need! Could always call 119 to double check the rules?

SS123456 · 15/08/2021 11:48

@MrsB2019x I was thinking about doing that but I'm worried they'll tell him he has to continue isolating. I am toying with the idea of going with our genuine interpretation of the rules that the16th August means no more isolation but I'm in 2 minds. We had negative lateral flows last night and have pcrs booked for today 🤷🏻‍♀️

OP posts:
MrsB2019x · 16/08/2021 11:01

If it were me I’d probably do that @SS123456, especially if you’re doing regular lateral flows and PCRs. My hospital is also doing PCR tests upon admission so you’d soon know then!

SS123456 · 16/08/2021 13:42

@MrsB2019x both of our pcr tests came back negative so I think we are just going to carry on. OH works from home anyway so the only impact would be if I go into labour before the 19th but realistically he is not going to stay away if he is testing negative

SS123456 · 19/08/2021 09:46

Just checking in, how are we all?

@MrsB2019x how is your recovery going?

I'm 39 weeks today and still no sign of baby 🙈

OP posts:
MrsB2019x · 19/08/2021 14:54

@SS123456 Got an infection ☹️ The scar itself is absolutely fine but the tissue behind and above the scar is quite sore and swollen. So bit gutted because it’s set me back a bit but hoping that the antibiotics will kick in soon and I’ll start feeling a bit better in a few days. Hope baby doesn’t keep you waiting much longer!

SS123456 · 19/08/2021 15:49

@MrsB2019x I'm really sorry to hear that 😩. Hopefully now you have the antibiotics they will kick in quickly 🤞🏻🤞🏻. I had an infection of my episiotomy and tear when I had my son and it made me really miserable and down but once the antibiotics start doing their thing you do should start to feel more yourself again
