Thanks for turning up you lovely lot and so Welcome back on board the bus where our route now takes us through the POAS early corner of shame to the “I’m gonna wait until AF is late this time” and then stopping at the fertility clinic to drop off a bunch of giggling girls going to get their foof felt up by a load of nurses and hopefully get impregnated by them! 🤞🏻

This bus is the one where TTC happens in many different forms, shagging conventionally, unconventionally, with the help of scientific intervention, IUI/ICSI/Clomid/IVF & even just watching from the top of the bus 👀. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been trying for days, weeks, months or like some of us we’ve been around each other for so long we can’t bear to leave, nothing is TMI and there’s never a silly question...

Hell we KNOW TTC is tough, lots of us have had heart ache & are chasing 🌈so we are there for each other, as well as trying to have laughs along the way 🥰☺️

Hand hold needed everyone had a call from midwife today came back high for Down syndrome 1 in 90 I haven't stopped crying all day. Xx

@Juno231 I’ve had 3 transferred (single fresh, double frozen) and got 5 left, though of course they used the best ones first!

@DJmum83 hand here to hold you, what exactly did they say? Can you have an amniocentesis and find out for sure?

My head is sore from crying.
They have said I have to go for NIPT test on Monday results can take a week to 10 days. They can't get me in sooner as the bus that takes the bloods to Dundee only comes Monday and Tuesday xx

@Minster2012 they haven't been too bad today the headaches. I'm on my second day of stims and half dose of buserelin so hoping now that I'm not on a full dose it's enough to help get rid of the headaches. Still getting hot flushes in the evening which are annoying. The stim injection is bruising my tummy. Acupuncture tomorrow 😌👌 I feel like a human pin cushion 🙄
So exciting for you with the new house! Hope your toe feels better soon. Make sure to ice it!

@DJmum83 ok, still early days, so first step is that test, so hard I know but try to relax, after you have that, we can figure out the next step, for now, do you rather pretend this isn’t happening or find support groups online to hear some success stories, I know a few if you like to hear it

@Crazydoglady123 surprisingly I put the cycle on for the 4th time and the tablet actually dissolved that time but I had complained to the water company about low pressure. I also had a problem with my washing machine that I'd put on a load of old cleaning cloths with some dark clothes together and they came out still smelling even tho I definitely put detergent in with them so think it was defo to do with water pressure as the water wouldn't have got hot enough if the pressure was low !

@MessyBob89 hi & welcome! Is this TTC your first? We've had ppl before who got negative at 10dpo then it went positive...do you have an embarrassing story for us? Sex related or just life!

@Sunbird24 god what a tough journey youve had. And my DH said I talked UTTER SHIT during my egg collection so it's obviously a thing! what have your clinic said on the testing? Personally I wouldn't, my clinic said it can damage an embryo too & I didn't want to risk that having had a son from a day 3 frozen transfer (to my friend) & then the 3 remaining "better" embryos resulting in a MMC, a negative then a fail to survive the thaw, I firmly believe it's not all about grading

@Juno231 whichever you were talking about on the last thread, is it a preassessment for something?

@DJmum83 gosh that's really hard, MASSIVE HUGS you could do a NIPT test to see if it reveals more? Is that an option?

@DJmum83 sorry I posted that before you put about the NIPT that's really good then they are doing that and we are here for you lovely, as @Franklydear says one day & step at a time

Work have finally managed to get me a covid vaccine, got it Friday. Couple of paracetamol before hand I’ve heard people suggest?

@DJmum83 I hope you take this as reassuring (I read it somewhere when mine came back in the hundreds and I worried it was high until someone said to look at it the other way) but 1 in 90 for downs syndrome is also 89 in 90 will not have downs syndrome. I found considering the statistic that way really helpful. Hopefully the NIPT test comes back as quickly as possible and reassures you but handhold here anyway 🥰

@DJmum83 oh no. I'm sorry. I can understand that must definitely be worrying. And worrying won't help! The wait sounds like it'll be hard but I think you just need to do the test and try to keep yourself busy until you find out. Why is this journey always so stressful? Hugs xxx
