Thanks for turning up you lovely lot and so Welcome back on board the bus where our route now takes us through the POAS early corner of shame to the “I’m gonna wait until AF is late this time” and then stopping at the fertility clinic to drop off a bunch of giggling girls going to get their foof felt up by a load of nurses and hopefully get impregnated by them! 🤞🏻

This bus is the one where TTC happens in many different forms, shagging conventionally, unconventionally, with the help of scientific intervention, IUI/ICSI/Clomid/IVF & even just watching from the top of the bus 👀. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been trying for days, weeks, months or like some of us we’ve been around each other for so long we can’t bear to leave, nothing is TMI and there’s never a silly question...

Hell we KNOW TTC is tough, lots of us have had heart ache & are chasing 🌈so we are there for each other, as well as trying to have laughs along the way 🥰☺️

Oh wow day 29?! Do you tend to have long cycles? I saw someone on another thread say an OPK can pick up a pregnancy - don't know how true that is!

@Minster2012 @Justanothercyster hahaha Noo😂 although I wasn't best pleased in the middle of IKEA having travelled and waited for these sodding baskets to be told they'd sold out in the last hour and are no longer being sold in IKEA once they're gone. I managed to get two ex display ones which I had to argue for but think they saw my bump and thought I'm not arguing with her 🤣🤣

@lucyrp what baskets are they? as in the name? worst case scenario I'm def bound to be visiting my family in Sweden this year (surely!!) so if this country sells out I'll pick some up from IKEAs homeland lol.

@Franklydear I realised I wasn’t going to meet anyone in a global pandemic aged 42, so figured I needed to give it a try before that window completely closed (if it hadn’t already!) It’s not the way I’d have chosen to start a family, of course not, but even if I met someone now it would have been too much pressure too early on in a relationship, so I’m trying it the other way round.

I’ve had relationships in the past but it seems my ‘picker’ is really faulty!

@Sunbird24 i am 43, completely get you, also the best part of doing it this way, you have your kid/s and can get in a relationship whenever without having to settle, I've been married for ever and want my medal as he's still alive

Nice work planting @Minster2012 I am only capable of planting bulbs and destructive gardening like hedge cutting, nothing with any sort of finesse!

@lucyrp ikea also do delivery, it's a £5 delivery charge or something like that but I've used it before instead of doing the hour or so to my nearest one.

I hurriedly fake tanned my legs earlier before a cheeky lunch date with DH and now just seeing how patchy they are 😂

@lucyrp haha that's hilarious! I was like that with some plates they discontinued a few years ago. I'll let you know if we go again, send a pic of what they look like just in case x

@Justanothercyster @Juno231 I'll attach the pic below of the baskets 🙈 I wouldn't be annoyed but they fit perfectly on the bookcase I've got in the nursery acting as an open wardrobe as we don't have space for a proper one and the baskets are a great size for nappies etc !

Hey everyone, just had the doctor's call back with DH SA results. Lower end of average quantity and low motility is what was said so they want to retest it - he's going to have to do it at the hospital this time.

He seems OK about it all but I'm quite surprised. I think I just had it in my head for so long that it was all on my crapfest of a body that it never occurred to me it could be him too. Trying to think positive thoughts.

@InkyPaper what was the time lapse between doing it and it getting there? I've read several people say that it definitely declines. We found that too. So the fact the hospital won't let you do it there (couldn't even for iui) is ludicrous.
@lucyrp I can't stand IKEA (or any other shop with people 🤣). Could you order them to someone else's address?

@paintfairy it was about 45-50 minutes from doing it to getting there. He was holding the pot tight in his hands the whole time (he has the hottest hands ever) so he probably boiled it 😂🙈

@paintfairy yes I found a good one at an American sperm bank - he’s ex-USAF, good looking, speaks several languages and tested negative for all chromosomal abnormalities (nearly 300!) It’s a bit funny as his parents had the exact same jobs as mine did before they retired - I’ve joked with my best friend about it but for various reasons he sounds like my ideal man. Of the 16 eggs they collected from me, 14 fertilised and 8 made it to day 5/6, so I’ve been pretty lucky. Have to hope that will come back at some point!

@InkyPaper bless him! There’s pretty painless diet/exercise/general lifestyle adjustments he can make that might help, if you both think it’s worth a try?

@lucyrp you can see online where has them still. My store doesn't sadly, they've sold out.
@InkyPaper I think it's just the time. They aren't meant to live in a pot. 🤣 Our first one was 25% motility and the second was 35% and the only difference was the time.

@paintfairy I know that's why I went to my local one as they had them in stock in the morning but by the time I'd travelled there and queued they'd all gone! And all the other stores are 2-3 hours away from me if not more which seems excessive for some baskets 🙈

@Sunbird24 this is true! I should look into those. I mean he doesn't smoke, doesn't drink more than the odd pint or glass of wine like once a week, so I guess the main one would be exercise. Should try and get him to do more 😄 your donor sounds perfect really! When it comes to choosing a donor do you know what they look like? Like brown hair, blue eyes or whatever?? Or is it done on genetic profile?

@paintfairy 😂 this is true! I'm hoping they will let him do the next one on site because we're not going to be able to get there faster and there's nowhere nearby to park up

@InkyPaper, yes I’ve seen photos of him at various ages - he’s got a bit of a look of my dad’s side of the family to be honest!
My criteria when choosing were really only ‘same race as me, similar hair & eye colour’ but when I read his bio I knew it had to be him, there were too many things we had in common.

Ladies....I have some news.... after the bfn this morning I've had backache and boobs started hurting at work and I'm still so hungry all the time.. and my easy at home hpts arrived today, so came home and thought ahh il re test because maybe fmu isn't my strongest... and within literally 2 minutes this appeared....and its definitely pink!!
Please say you can see it??? It's so obvious irl.
I definitely wasn't expecting to see a 2nd line...I was hopeful this month would be it but seeing as we only dtd on O day and day after I wasn't convinced this month... but jheez! I'm really nervous after the cp last month but I never pulled a line like this on an ic then... and now I have!
